The ego keeps us safe. Serving as a survival instinct, it has played a crucial role in our evolutionary journey, distinguishing us from other species. However, this instinct, which was once essential, has now extended too far. It has led to harmful separations, such as discrimination based on race, religion, or sexuality, and even to the annihilation of other species. This harmful extension of the ego has led us to view those we deem different from ourselves as 'the other,' fostering a sense of conflict. Yet, what we need to see is we are fighting against ourselves.
We must learn to rise above the ego, as it can pit us against every other living being. Everything exists for a reason, even if we don't fully understand its purpose. For example, who would have thought that the extinction of bees could lead to our own demise?
The desire to stand out should not interfere with our need to connect with others. In fact, both are essential, and that's completely normal. The problem arises when we focus solely on our differences and fail to recognize that the energy within all living beings is the same energy that exists within us. When we yearn for more, we are often seeking a deeper connection to the universal aspect of ourselves that links us to every living thing.

personally, i hate when people want to stop talking to us for a moment because they got bothered with, "Brb."
you're saying be right back.
you're supposed to be back, 'be right back', and back in minutes, or maybe just a few hours.
not 20 hours.
not days.
because I was expecting you, still want to chat with me.
just say that you're busy and I'll go, without waiting you.
Ahah, turns out.. maybe you don't like me, and that kind of hurts because you treat me as if you like to interact with me, which made me happy.
