전자악기 소개 - Instrument1
youtube
컴퓨터를 이용한 음악은 미디 MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface)라고 아주 오래전부터 활용되어 왔는데요.

Today @joshbenus and I dropped by the @artiphon offices and finally got to check out #Instrument1 - a multi-use iOS compatible midi controller, can be played like a guitar or keyboard. Oh and they just raised over 500k on #kickstarter - not bad at all. Can't wait to spend some more time with this thing. #nashville (at Artiphon)

First little jam with the @artiphon #INSTRUMENT1 . Running through #ableton into a 1986 #Oberheim Matrix 6R rack synth (that black boxy thing in front of my face). Playing synth like guitar is pretty chill. 🤘#pamplemousse (at Portland, Oregon)

Audio
so as I’m posting these I’ll try to discuss how I’m doing them. also, they are really unpolished because I’m just doing these at the tail end of the day.
these are produced on my op-1 with input from a few different devices. right now, I’m hooking up Reaktor players to an Instrument1 so, things will be plucky for a few days.
Also, these will start out very formulaic... so. idea -> beat -> bassline
expect that for a few more days, then I’ll branch out and goof around ;-)

How Artiphon Grew its Audience with Kickstarter and Email
When Mike Butera founded Artiphon in 2011, he was looking to build a product that empowers people to play different music apps the way you would an actual instrument. He didn’t want his design to limit creativity or musical inspiration. In fact, the product he envisioned could become any instrument the person holding it wanted it to be.
Mike hired creative director Adam McHeffey to find innovative ways to educate, inspire, and empower people to use INSTRUMENT 1. And while Adam’s marketing strategy is as varied as the product itself, many of Artiphon’s sales come from their emails and automations, which they started sending during their 2015 Kickstarter campaign.
“We always make our emails worth reading, absorbing, and learning,” he says. “We like to deliver content where people can see themselves in it.”
Kickstarting your list
From a signup form embedded on its website, Artiphon collected a list of 1,000 subscribers to email about the launch of their Kickstarter campaign. The night before it went live, they sent an email to get subscribers excited, which had a 54% open rate and 25% click rate. The next morning, they sent another email with a link to the Kickstarter page that had a 50% open rate and 28% click rate, much higher than the average statistics for both their industry and company size.
They sent updates to these subscribers throughout the campaign’s run and continued to steadily grow their list through the signup form on their website. “We saw about a 90% increase in our list size from the time the campaign started to the time it finished,” Adam says.
Once the Kickstarter campaign ended, they added a checkbox to their signup form to capture email addresses from people who might have missed the campaign but wanted to know when INSTRUMENT 1 would be available to order. “Then we sent our pre-order campaign to that group of subscribers when the product was ready.”
Customizing with segmentation and automation
The goal of Artiphon’s emails, Adam says, is to entice people to learn the different ways they can use INSTRUMENT 1 and start playing it themselves. And with segmentation, they’re able to alter the content of their emails to specifically target different contacts on their list. People who have purchased INSTRUMENT 1, for example, receive tips and information on how to use it, while people who haven’t made a purchase yet receive more sales-driven emails.
A welcome automation series of 4 emails introduces new subscribers to the product, and people are sent each email in the series unless they’ve made a purchase since they received the previous one.
The emails are instructional and provide a complete picture of what INSTRUMENT 1 has to offer. “We want all our emails to pull customers to our store, rather than push."
Now that they’re in direct fulfillment, they continue to use the MailChimp for Shopify integration to store and create segments based on purchase data in their list, and they add fields to their signup form whenever they want people to update their preferences about the type of content they’d like to receive.
Making it delightful
Whether the Artiphon team is writing copy for an email or filming videos to post across their marketing channels, they always try to get inside customers’ heads to understand their needs.
They also love to share customer-generated content on their website and social media, so members of their community can learn new ways to use INSTRUMENT 1 from each other.

“Supporting our community of 5,000 music makers is very important to us,” Adam says. “Creating videos for them on how to use it is sort of a show-don’t-tell thing. It’s better to show something that delights them than write something that tells them how to use it.”

earthquake monitoring instrument1
In the mountains, this shaking of the earth can cause plate movement where snow and rocks slide downhill in the form of landslides. What causes earthquakes?
It is believed to be a natural phenomenon caused by human themselves due to nuclear experiments or geological faults.
Another side effect is known as debris flow where thick soup of water, soil, rocks and boulders are mixed together to form a round shape "ball", rolling with a lot of water in front of it crashing into buildings and houses as it "rolls" downhill.
The underneath earthquake, known as tsunamis, also triggers huge waves, which can travel as fast as a jet airliner (up to 500 miles an hour). They can also be caused by coastal land earthquakes, and often occur in the Pacific and Indian oceans. The big force of tidal wave builds up a huge crest in a giant wall of water which can reach up to 100 feet high. It can sweep away everything in its way, often flooding the regions.
Earthquakes can be measured. Light earthquakes are only felt by instruments or people on the upper floors. The average earthquake is felt by nearly everyone where tall objects "rock" and people in moving vehicles feel the movement. The heavy earthquake is when heavy furniture overturn, ground cracks, pipes break and well-designed buildings EQ-I81 seismic accelerograph  shake badly that cause people to run outside. The massive earthquake is when landslides occur, railway breaks, bridges fall, objects flung into the air and buildings destroyed.
Recently, the aftermath of Chile's earthquake has been a big disaster where 500, 000 houses were destroyed, still a growing number of people missing, and homes and belongings lost. Electricity and water supplies were much needed in addition to food, water, clothes, medicine and shelter. Worst of all, as people became desperate to survive, they started looting causing additional problems to the government of Chile.
There are several ways to follow in order to avoid huge damage and increase the chances of survival during an earthquake, such as moving away tables and desks or other sharp and heavy equipment. Protect your head with your arms and try staying indoors under a strong structure like door beam. If you are out, move to an area away from buildings, trees, and wires. Avoid being struck by failing bricks, glass or other tools that might hurt you. If you are driving, pull over and stay in your vehicles until the shaking stops. If you are at a crowded place please do not panic as it creates dangerous mob situations which can cause injury or death. Just move away from dangerous tools and objects. If you are in the theatre, stay in your seat and protect your head with your arms.
