Oh Fiddleford, my dearly beloved Fiddleford, he’s just a little guy who makes machines that hurt people and I love him for that <3

In my Relativity Falls AU Fidds is a kid from Tennessee who moved to Gravity Falls pretty recently, like in the past year.

He’s still really handy with mechanics, like a genuine prodigy, but he’s so riddled with anxiety that it’s a battle to get him to share any of his projects outside of his robots he makes to get revenge on those who wrong him!

He really does like hanging out with the twins, he thinks their both fun and is very happy they actually wanna be his friend, however their constant ‘Getting into weird and magical trouble’ is so stress inducing to him he’s going to get gray hairs by the time he’s 20 (Dipper can relate-)

I don’t have a lot of things solidified for him yet, other than I want him to be EXTREMELY tempted to use the Memory Gun on himself, to forget a lot of the horrifying things he’s seen over the summer, but is stopped by Candy (The inventor of the gun) at the last second. You see, Candy didn’t spiral like Fiddleford did in the show, she only ever used the memory gun on herself once. However, she used it to erase every bit of knowledge she ever learned about the weirdness of Gravity Falls, and Candy had spent YEARS of her life dedicated to it, she was arguably more curious about the weirdness of Gravity Falls than Dipper was. He was only curious out of morbid curiosity, she saw the whimsy and wonder in it all. So when Candy used the Memory Gun on herself and erased such a huge chunk of her memory it cracked her psyche, not leaving her a rambling and insane kook like Fiddleford, but more oblivious and unaware to everything around her while also being a liiiiittle ‘not all there’.

Between the two of them Candy definitely got the better end of the stick. Fiddleford was deemed insane and used the memory gun over and over again until he couldn’t even remember who he was anyone, his life falling apart. Candy used it once to make sure no one could ever use her research to hurt anyone after she learned her lab partner was literally working with an otherworldly being who could go into peoples heads and it cracked her mind because her research WAS her entire life, leaving her oblivious and dazed. However, Candy managed to find people who cared about her and were willing to care for her despite this. Sure she lives in the dump, but whenever a storm comes through or she gets hungry she can always go up to her friends Grenda, Mabel Mason, or even Pacifica at some point to help her out. Fiddleford had no one.

I want Candy to give Fidds a little pep talk, convincing him that despite those memories being scary and uncomfortable he’s going to need all of them because they’re what will help him grow as a person. He can’t just pick and choose which ones he wants because one day he’ll realize he doesn’t have any memories left to burn.

Maybe there could even be a moment where Fidds tries to use the memory gun on Candy because he convinces himself he NEEDS it and doesn’t want to deal with the consequences of hating choice, but freezes up when he realizes it does work on her anymore. The realizes what he just did because of how badly he wanted that memory gun seconds after he did it and starts to tremble, dropping the memory gun as he begins uncontrollably crying that he ‘didn’t mean it’ and he’s sorry. Candy wouldn’t hold it against him, just seeing a scared kid who was so desperate to make the mind numbing anxiety that he would do anything, and she’d hug him and tell him it’s okay before leading him back to the rest of the group.

Heyyy idk if this has been done before, but I went crazy and made a very detailed Howl's Moving Castle AU for Gravity Falls :DD

Lore for the au below cut

Basically, Fiddleford is Sophie, and Stanford is Howl. Fidds is like an engineer, but he wants to be an inventor & experiment with mixing magic and tech.

Ford, better known as The Great Wizard Stanford, is both a sorcerer and a scientist. When he was younger, he swallowed a star, making a deal with it. In exchange for great wisdom and power, Ford traded his heart. When this happened, the star's soul split in two. One latched on to a piece of Ford’s soul, taking his heart as it's vessel. This entity is Cipher, who appears as a ball of blue fire with a small yellow triangle with one eye in it's center. Cipher is Calcifer in this au. Because this part of the soul merged partly with Ford's, they share/swap some personality traits. Cipher has more of a conscience than og Bill, and Ford is a bit more vain about his appearance (he magics his hair blonde for a while at the start of the story).

The other part of the star's soul became a human-appearing demon. He named himself Bill, but most know him as the Demon of the Falls. Bill worked closely together with Ford for a time, but ended up betraying him and showing his true colors. After this, Ford fought Bill but ended up fleeing when it became clear he would lose the battle. He's been spending years trying to find a way to defeat Bill so that he doesn't hurt many more people.

The mystery twins take the place of Markl in this au. The Stans are just their uncles in this au, not great uncles. Shermie is their dad, and he's away fighting in the war. The twins were sent to live with Stanford when the war started so that Ford would keep them safe and also teach them magic.

Stanley takes the place of Turnip Head. Stan had been pretending to be Ford for a while to scam people, and Bill accidently tracked him down instead of Ford. Bill was pissed when he figured this out and cursed Stan to be a scarecrow. Fiddleford, when he was leaving home after he'd been cursed, found Stan stuck in a bush. He'd thought he could use the stick as a cane, but quickly found out it was another guy with a curse on him. Stan had been stuck in the bush for three days and could tell that Fidds had also been cursed, so he decided to help him out. Stan gave Fidds his 8-ball staff to use as a cane and led him to the moving castle.

I have wayyy more already thought out if y'all are interested at all. Might post some art of other characters in the au later.

She most often appears with Ahti II because the two are best friends! Karleeen is Ahti’s only consistent friend, actually. Suits them fine; they share a love of the outdoors, and mutually support each other and each other’s rambling sessions. Karleeen likes to learn about fish from Ahti while playing video games or building a new contraption of some kind — she’s an aspiring inventor and would like to study engineering when she’s older… She has a pretty good chance of going far, despite her less than ideal schooling history she’s one witty girl!

Karleeen is also the second main character of a story I’m writing called Man Swears Forever :] It’s posted in… some places, but I’ll probably unleash it to Tumblr once all the chapters are done (and when I’m brave enough!)

Fun fact: since I came up with Tele based on offspring from my Nuzi dragons, there were actually two other dragons in that one clutch of eggs. Technically two siblings. But I wasn't super interested in them so I put them in my hibden.

However. Recently I wanted to try my hand at scrying them into something interesting and unique? So here's the first pass at that. No names yet, designs not final but the colors mostly are. Tele's younger brothers, twins.

The one on the left is a softspoken inventor, keeps mostly to himself but will still run to his mom to eagerly show off whatever he's built. He's not very expressive aside from his eyes.

The one on the right....I imagine right before any of the kids got worker bodies, N and Uzi were like "I mean....we could technically build them DD bodies if they want them right? Just without all the intentional design flaws" and asked the three of them if any of them wanted that. Despite how much Tele idolizes her dad, the twin on the right was the only one enthusiastic about the idea. He tries so so hard to be edgy, but mostly cuz he wants his mom to think he's cool.

Modesty and Undergarments

I recently saw an Instagram post that was titled something along the lines of "Crunchy things I gave up when I became a Christian." Some of these things were new-age practices and had nothing to do with holistic health or anything I would call "crunchy". But one of the things she mentioned was that she gave up NOT wearing a bra.

There is really not a way around it-- bras damage your health. They put pressure on your diaphragm, they weaken elasticity, and do a whole host of other things if they're fitted improperly! If you are blessed in the bosom department and you think they give you support, that may be true, but they are still weakening elasticity and they are still harming your health, even if you find them helpful and have weighed those risks. There is no reason a woman below a DD should need to wear a bra "for health and comfort reasons" outside of physical activity (which, even then, still weakens elasticity).

Her message was that not wearing a bra is immodest. Okay, I can see that this is true if you're wearing something see-through. I can see that this is true if you're wearing something particularly tight or thin. But, subjecting yourself to things that harm your health is not modest and never will be. Indeed, dressing in a turtleneck in 90-degree weather, knowing it puts you at risk of fainting, is IMMODEST. It's attention-seeking and piety-signalling. Put on a tee-shirt.

Rant aside, we have to ask ourselves: if this piece of clothing is immodest without a bra, is it modest at all? A see-through blouse that would expose your nipples if you didn't wear a bra is not really modest with a bra, just like how a skirt you can't wear without safty-shorts isn't really modest either. Those pants you can't wear without a change in underwear too... are those really modest? No.

Bras (and most all other undergarments through history) were not for modesty, nor for protection (as in the shift or chemise), but rather, to create a fashionable and sexually desirable shilloute (as in layers of pettycoats, bumrolls, tight-lace corsets and stays, crinolines, bustles, breastpads, and so on). Mary Phelps Jacob, the inventor of our modern bra, did not take on such an act for modesty or even comfort but for fashion (specifically to cover the boning of her corset, which was visible through her translucent dress). Later iterations of the bra would include the bullet bra, the push-up bra, the wonder-bra, and the water-bra, none of which sound "modest" to me in any sense. But to be fair, there's also the "minimizer bra" which is even worse for a woman's health (like wearing a compressive sports bra the whole day) and STILL conforms to fashion trends and changes your natural body.

Contemporary bras exist to give women's breasts a rounded, "perky" (ironic), full, lifted, etc. look. This look is designed to appeal, if not to men, and to women who have been unduly influenced by them, then to fashion designers, homosexual men, and pornographers.

Through most of history and certainly in the time of the apostles, women did not wear bras-- the most they wore was a 'bandau'-like garment for sports or hard, hard labor, which is our equivalent of a bralette (which are frequently available in natural materials!). Depending on the region, time of year, a woman's immediate position, and so on, the outline of her breasts and nipples may or may not have been visible. If this, in your or your culture's opinion, is immodest, you should cover this outline with heavier fabric, more layers, and less obvious colors, but know this: for most of history and in most parts of the world, the mere outline and physics of women's breasts were not and are not considered "immodest". If you are conducting yourself in a modest fashion, not swinging your breasts around and wagging your nipples in men's faces, you should be fine.

She’s incredibly skilled at building her own weapons/equipment on the fly, and uses this to her advantage on the battlefield, able to use a “gadget” for free the entire fight- though she scraps it for a new one after each battle. She’s resourceful, extremely good at troubleshooting, and always thinks outside the box. She absorbs information like a sponge, and even if some of it leaks out now and again, she’s never one to shy away from re-studying her topic of choice. She thrives in chaotic and fast paced environments, and has experience in mechanical/chemical/computer coding/a bit of biology all firmly under her belt. katsuki n ryoko's relationship !!

katsuki n ryoko met in childhood when they both were just kids (OF COURSSEE) keep in mind this is very cheesy but i am nothing if not a sappy cheesy lovesick moron ! so no regrets for me >:3

ryoko came to school like in the middle of the year, and the moment she got introduced it was love at first sight lol😭 YESS YESS BOOO TOMATOES TOMATOES I DONT CAAARRREEE !! i love love love wins over all 😌💗 so basically he wants to talk to her immediately, but also even back then he was emotionally constipated and had no idea how to introduce himself normally. ryoko never met any other kids her age formally before then, so she was always sitting alone and reading and katsuki would randomly come up, comment on the book shees reading, get embarrassed, and then leave 😭

"...whatcha reading ?" ryoko gets nervous to talk to new people, so she shows him the book title. and after he looks at it for a good ten seconds he mumbles out a "that one sucks" and runs away, leaving her a little shocked😭

she got kinda used to him doing this every day, and slowly but surely he starts staying a bit longer and the longer they talk the more boasty baby katsuki shows up and then he's back to his loud behaviour. he gets her to introduce herself to his friendgroup, w izuku in it. (hes a wee bit jealous that she actually ends up liking izuku a lot)

katsuki is the first person that came to talk to her, so he's very close to her heart, and he's her favourite !! fun fact ! the rpp series is pretty much based on their relationship !! anyways they start dating somewhere towards the end of their second year in middle school, cus katsuki acts more subtle in his bullying of izuku when shes around cus he knows she will get mad and not talk to him,, and two izuku is her best friend too (much to his chagrin cus HES her numba one bff tf😑) and they've been together ever since !!

first i have himari 'mari' hamasaki ! shes dating shouto, and no worries their relationship has a bit more depth than katsuryo 😭😭 !! but theyre cuties and i love them ! her mom was a pro hero called voltri who passed away when she was 7 and her father is a famous hero gear inventor ! their relationship isn't the best unfortunately.. mari has a mecha related quirk !!

next up !! kyosuke nishiyama !! he's himaris older cousin ! and by older i mean by like..two days lol, but he loves holding that over her head cus hes a little shit like that😭 they love to act like they hate each other, but theyre very close, so they just call themselves (and his other siblings) brother and sister, and not to mention they look a lot alike, so ppl don't rlly question it much ! he has a chain related quirk like kurapika ! his dad is a business man/ househusband and his mom is also an inventor :3 ah, and he has a boyfriend (who is my friends oc !!)

keisuke and kensuke nishiyama are kyosukes older brothers !! kensuke is 22 and in college to be an inventor, and keisuke is 19 studying criminal psychology :D ! keisuke has a girlfriend also not girlfriend called furaha i say gng bc he's built awkward asf and had no idea she was in love with him and he with her, but they'd make out and kiss n act like a couple contstantly until he realized he liked her 😭 !! furaha is a congolese exchange student from canada !! lil funfacts for them kensuke is a stoner (lol) keisuke is a speedrunner, and furaha can do her own hair !! (im jealous)

amara 'gogo' kanyinda and omari 'king' kanyinda are both siblings ! omari is the leader of an underground crime syndicate and amara is an assassin in that syndicate ! (much to omaris displeasure) omari n amara were both in an abusive household and since omari is older, he escaped first and told amara he'd come back to get her when he got his shit together, and he did !!! they act like they hate each other too, but omari would rlly do anything for his sister and he's a major softie ! they're both congolese ! omari's nickname king comes from the fact he's the boss of the syndicate and because of his attitude, because his personality is kinda shitty LOOL😭😭 also he has a dog named guts !! (yes hes a manga nerd)

i don't have a quirk for him yet unfortunately 🤧 tho im thinkin of a super strength one ! amara's quirk is called ball n' chain ! she has the ability to control and manipulate a ball and chain made of energy, it extends from a central point, typically the hands but she prefers to use her legs ! she can manipulate it telepathically, can control the length and thickness of it and can imbue the chain with energy so she can cut through objects or give an extra impact ! gogo is the nickname she got from her friends bc her quirk is similar to gogo yubari's ball n chain from kill bill ! and she liked it sm she ran with it :3 amara has a boyfriend (who is my friends oc) !! they're very in love and i love them more than my entire life.

I indeed used the white day idv poster as reference (to make na.ib as real as possible HE'S THERE TOO I HAVE EVIDENCE) And. While drawing I randomly thought like "weird how I wouldn't trust all of these guys-" in a joking way SO I THOUGHT I SHARE MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT WITH YOU, THE IDV MOOT (beware it may be long and I obviously have no idea about most of these guys)
