VC codes are 20 mixed numbers and alphabets which are realised by 2k, they're just tokens or in-game money, they may be used to help you win matches because they help the players in your team to be faster, pass better, have a more accurate shot and lots of other stuff which will help you win the game very easy. First, you start with 5,000 VC and you will get some more after some time, but in order to get a lot of VC or the amount you need, you'll have to pay a lot of cash to get them. A great deal of people spend their money from their own pockets just to have a lot of VC and be great at NBA 2K19, but others try to find hacks and other that provide you them at no cost! Your good news is that you have discovered us and we do provide NBA 2k19 Hack VC PS4 and others like NBA 2k19 Free VC Xbox and more all for free!

The K7RA Solar Update
Tad Cook, K7RA, in Seattle, reports: The current stretch of spotless days is now over 3 weeks, according to Spaceweather.com. The continuing quiet seems eerie. For this past reporting week, Thursday through Wednesday, the average daily solar flux (10.7 GHz radiation recorded in Penticton, British Columbia, which roughly tracks with sunspot activity) was only 66. I couldn’t recall when the weekly average reported in this bulletin was last that low, and couldn’t find any report during the past year with such low activity.
I did an inspection of the numbers and had to go back to the fall of 2007 to find average solar flux in that range. In 2007 we reported an average of 66.5 in bulletin number 40. Can anyone else find solar flux that low or lower in past bulletins? We have them online going back to 1995.
If anyone has copies of propagation bulletins prior to 1995, I would love to see them. I began writing the bulletin in March 1991. Before that, W1HDQ (SK) was the author. I recall copying the bulletin as a teenager in 1966 on CW but have not found anyone who knows when the bulletin began.
Predicted solar flux for the next 45 days is 66 on August 30 – September 6; 67 on September 7 – 11; 68 on September 12 – 15; 67 on September 16 – October 8; 68 again on October 9 – 12, and 67 on October 13.
Predicted planetary A index is 8, 20, 34, 16, and 8 on August 30 – September 3; 5 on September 4 – 5; 8 on September 6 – 7; 5 on September 8 – 21; 10, 15, and 8 on September 22 – 24; 5 on September 25 – 27; 35, 18, and 10 on September 28 – 30; 5 on October 1 – 2; 10 and 8 on October 3 – 4, and 5 on October 5 – 13.
Note that the predicted planetary A index is 34 on September 1, which according to W3LPL and The ARRL Letter is the 160th anniversary of the infamous Carrington Event.
Spaceweather.com reported a large recurring coronal hole facing Earth and expects the effects to be felt on Sunday, September 1. A planetary A index value of 35 is predicted for the next solar rotation, on September 28.
Geomagnetic activity forecast for the period August 30 – September 26 from OK1HH. The geomagnetic field will be:
Quiet on: September 10 – 11, 20 – 21, (25 – 26)
Quiet to unsettled on: August 30, September 3 – 5, 7 – 8, 13, 17, 22, 24
Quiet to active on: August 31, September 6, 9, 12, 14 – 16, 18 – 19, 23
Unsettled to active on: September 2
Active to disturbed: September 1
Solar wind will intensify on August (30) – 31, September 1 ( – 2), (4 – 6)
[Parenthesis means lower probability of activity enhancement.]
For more information concerning radio propagation, visit the ARRL Technical Information Service, read “What the Numbers Mean…,” and check outK9LA’s Propagation Page.
A propagation bulletin archive is available. Monthly charts offer propagation projections between the US and a dozen DX locations.
Instructions for starting or ending email distribution of ARRL bulletins are on the ARRL website.
Sunspot numbers for August 22 – 28 were 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, and 0, with a mean of 0. The 10.7 centimeter flux was 65.7, 66.5, 66.3, 66, 65.8, 66.1, and 65.9, with a mean of 66. Estimated planetary A indices were 6, 4, 5, 4, 6, 10, and 5, with a mean of 5.7. Middle latitude A index was 7, 4, 5, 5, 6, 10, and 5, with a mean of 6.

Why does my fortnite crash
Exactly where To Uncover 5 Lost Spraycans In 'Fortnite
Above: Fortnite: Battle Royale vs. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds vs. H1Z1: King of the Kill. According to the brand itself, many accounts have currently been compromised with distinct hacking tactics. The bug is commonly in the user himself who does not use his or her common sense. You ordinarily appear for tricks and recommendations that will permit you to advance quicker than other players and this leads to pages of dubious good quality. Just add your access data to them and you're out of account. This is just one of numerous formulas you can use to rob us of a Fortnite account.
youtube
If you only care about playing Fortnite's Battle Royale mode, you can grab that for free right now. In this mode, you drop onto an island with 99 other players to scavenge for weapons and create forts as the play area progressively shrinks. If you happen to be the final individual (or team) standing you win. It sounds very simple, but with 100 players on the map there is a surprising quantity of wide variety.
1. The initially and the most apparent way is buying your V-bucks utilizing genuine revenue, your tough-earned money. This is the easiest and the least time-consuming way, of course. The rates range from $10 for 1000 V-Bucks to $one hundred for 10000 V-Bucks. The 1st way, that you ought to be already undertaking to earn V-Bucks, is by logging into Save the World mode every day.
The Battle Royale mode of Fortnite is totally free to download and play on Xbox One particular, PS4, Computer and iOS devices like the Apple iPhone and iPad. It attributes one particular mode Additional info and 1 map, and has far more than 3.four million concurrent players and 125 million total. That is the version of Fortnite that everybody is playing and talking about. You really should get involved.
I don't want to re-critique the game in a paragraph , but it is a cooperative, PvE version of Fortnite that has a lot of unnecessary collecting and grinding systems that make it a bit as well repetitive and simple to be enjoyable in the lengthy term. But it is not horrible. It just feels muddled in general, and I am not sure if there's a very good way to save it in the extended term. Epic Games has no plans to bring this mode to the Switch, in case you happen to be curious.
Equally, if you do invest the money on a Battle pass - bear with us - you can earn free of charge V-Bucks as you fight your way through the game's progression method. Although they might not technically be cost-free, if you progress far adequate in a season, you could properly have hoovered up adequate of the premium currency to get the future season's pass free, and then some. That's offered you never blow it all on a tasty legendary before the current season ends.

But I get pleasure from playing the meta-game of trying to get free†stuff out of games, and I've started to take Save the Globe more seriously as a location to farm V-Bucks. The game is not terrible it really is just not as enjoyable as Battle Royale, but the time necessary on a daily basis to get at least some of these missions and quests completed is not as well taxing. It is up to you whether or not tracking all the things and maximizing your V-Buck approaches is worth the money you happen to be saving, or irrespective of whether playing in this way is entertaining at all. You could uncover your self enjoying the game mode extra than you had anticipated. But the V-Buck rewards for playing Save the Globe, as we've observed in this post, can be terrific.
Obtaining cosmetic upgrades in a absolutely free-to-play video game such as Fortnite is akin to donating to the developer. You get a modest reward that assists your character stand out even though investing in the longevity and profitability of the game itself. It really is also 100% optional and can get actually highly-priced if you get hooked on upgrading your character on a frequent basis.
Any content you obtain with V-Bucks will be offered on any linked Fortnite accounts no matter which platform you invest in the content on. If you don't really feel like paying for your V-Bucks you do have a further solution, but it is not totally free either. Alternatively, you will have to pay for the full game, which incorporates both the Battle Royale and Save the Planet modes, and costs at least $40.
Fortnite's brief-lived exclusivity on Samsung devices has come to an end. Soon after a handful of days of getting restricted to choose Galaxy-branded gadgets, Epic's now expanded its Fortnite Android Beta to a heap of other phones and tablets. Battle royale games have been dominated by Fortnite , even soon after the release of Call of Duty's own interpretation of the formula with Blackout. Now it really is time for EA and Respawn to take a crack at it with the Titanfall developer's newly released Apex Legends.
Not got Save the Globe? Do not worry. Fortnite Battle Royale mode also delivers a way of earning no cost V-Bucks: through battle pass challenges. Austen, Golsin (March 27, 2018). "Fortnite Battle Royale Review" IGN Archived from the original on August 18, 2018. Retrieved August 21, 2018. Don't fall for any of the Cost-free V-Bucks†scams that you may possibly come across that tries to give you cost-free V-bucks. The approaches above (that is written) are all and the only legit solutions that essentially work and there is no other method out there that functions to earn cost-free V-Bucks.
Fortnite: Save The Planet is a co-op survival game making use of all the identical gear and guns as you'll locate in Fortnite Battle Royale, and charges the player with constructing defenses ahead of facing down an onslaught of AI controlled zombies. Survive the evening and you earn rewards such as new weapons, gear, traps and building components to do it all once more.

Course Hero is an education technology website that allows students and educators to upload and share study resources with each other.
In our Course Hero review, we’ll let you know if it’s worth using.
Back before the internet, college and university students were limited to their classmates and campus resources like professors and the library. You had to leave your dorm room and seek out help from these sources.
When the internet was invented, someone decided that crowdsourcing education was a good idea, and so sites like Course Hero sprung into existence. Students share their study materials on the site and get to see other people’s study materials in exchange.
It sounds too good to be true, and some people have even lobbed scam accusations at the site.
Read the rest of our Course Hero review below to see what I think.
FAQ
1.) What is Course Hero? Course Hero is an education technology website where students and educators can upload documents and share study resources. It was founded in 2006 by a Cornell student named Andrew Grauer so he and his fellow students could share resources. Course Hero is now based in Redwood, California.
2.) How does Course Hero work? Course Hero is crowdsourced, meaning you have to contribute to Course Hero’s library of resources and/or community of students and educators to take advantage of everything on the site. Users earn unlocks and tutor questions through a variety of actions, such as rating other’s resources or sharing their own.
3.) What types of study resources/documents are on Course Hero? Course Hero has study guides, practice problems, video lessons, and class notes in basically every school subject.
4.) Does Course Hero have a mobile app? Yes. They have an app for iOS and Android.

6.) How do you earn free tutor questions? At the start, you are given 2 for creating an account, 2 for verifying your email, and 5 for logging into the mobile app for the first time. As for uploading documents, you are given 3 questions for the first 10 documents, 6 more when you upload 30 total documents, and 6 more when you reach 60 documents. After that, you are given 8 per friend you refer, 1 per tutor question you tag to a course.
7.) How do you earn free unlocks? You earn 5 per 10 documents you upload, 3 per quiz you create, 1 per 5 of your documents being unlocked by others, 1 per 5 of your documents receiving a thumbs-up, and 1 per 5 pieces of other peoples’ content you rate.
8.) Do tutor questions expire? Yes. They expire within 30 days of them being credited to your account.
9.) Can I redeem tutor questions for cash if I don’t want them? No.
10.) How long do unlocked documents stay unlocked? They stay unlocked for your entire subscription.
11.) What are Practice Problems? Practice Problems gives you additional study material. It pulls information from Course Hero’s library of resources and creates small problems sets for you to study with. Practice Problems is currently free, as it’s still in beta.
12.) How many times can I do practice problems? You can redo the same practice problems as many times as you want by clicking restart. Once you exit a problem set, the problems will change.
13.) How does tutoring work on Course Hero? All you do is type out your question, pick the subject it’s for, and submit it on the tutor screen. A tutor should have an answer for you in minutes. If their answer is sufficient, you can accept it.
14.) What if a tutor doesn’t answer my question sufficiently? You can follow up with your tutor for additional clarification. If they still don’t answer your question, you can flag the answer as “unhelpful”. Course Hero sends a Question Processor to evaluate the situation. Usually, the question will be canceled and you’ll get your tutor question back. You can follow this process if their answer is incorrect as well.
15.) How do I become a Course Hero tutor? You’ll need to fill in their application form with some basic personal information, your country of residence, your highest level of education, a brief description of your teaching or tutoring experience, and where you heard of Course Hero.
16.) How many hours do tutors work? Tutors set their own hours. You can work as much or as little as you want.
17.) How much do tutors make? Course Hero claims their top tutors make $500 per week. Your results will be a lot less at first, though, as you need to earn ratings for your tutoring. The higher your rating, the more money you can earn.
18.) What subjects can I teach as a tutor? Subjects include art/humanities, business, engineering/tech, foreign languages, history, math, science, and social studies. There are a ton of specialties within each subject you can choose from.

No. Course Hero does not provide strict requirements, but you need to at least be educated beyond high school in your subject of choice. The more credentials and experience you have, the more likely they’ll accept your application.
20.) How long until I hear back regarding my tutor application? They receive a high volume of applications, so they can’t guarantee you’ll get a response, let alone within a certain time frame. Again, the more credentials and experience you can display, the faster you’ll get a response.

24.) How much does a Premier subscription cost? It normally costs $39.95 per month. However, you can opt to pay for 3 months at a time or a year at a time. Paying 3 months at a time costs $59.85, which is equivalent to $19.95 per month. Paying a year at a time costs $119.40, which is equivalent to $9.95 per month. You can change or pause your subscription at any time.
25.) Do Premier unlocks roll over from month to month? No. Your unlocks reset to 30 every month no matter what.
26.) What is the educator platform? Course Hero allows educators access to their library of documents so educators can customize their course materials. Educators can earn unlocks and unlock documents the same way students can.

Course Hero Review – Overview
Course Hero is a crowdsourced online learning platform for students and educators to share study resources like notes and study guides.
Similar to Facebook, Course Hero started in a dorm. In 2006, a Cornell student named Andrew Grauer started Course Hero so he and his fellow students could share course materials in case people didn’t pay attention in classes.
Now, Course Hero boasts over 10 million student users contributing to and studying on its platform.
It works by incentivizing students to share their study materials through an unlock system. Students gain access to the documents they need by sharing their own study materials, allowing the platform to thrive.
As you’d expect, Course Hero has had its fair share of criticism.
There’re the accusations of scams.
Some think Course Hero’s resources cause students to care less about learning and more about grades, while others simply accuse the site of allowing mass cheating.
I can see where they’re coming from, but keep reading our Course Hero review for more info.
Product
Course Hero has both its main website and a mobile app. Course Hero’s main features are its library of crowdsourced study materials uploaded by students, its team of online tutors you can either seek help from or join, its scholarship opportunities, its educator accounts, and their new practice problems feature that is still being beta tested. Users earn unlocks and tutor questions to access the first two.
The types of study materials on Course Hero include notes, essays, homework help, study guides, and lab reports.
These documents can be viewed in full and downloaded with earnable unlocks. When you unlock a document, you have access to it for the entirety of your subscription. Earning tutor questions let you seek help from Course Hero’s online tutors.
Most documents let you see a page or two to make sure the document you’re about to unlock is relevant to what you’re looking for.
To find study materials, you can type what you’re looking for into Course Hero’s search bar.
Alternatively, you can search by school, subject, or book. Searching by subject is a great way to find specific study guides, while searching by book is useful for English or literature classes.
Further study materials are available in the form of their practice problems.
Course Hero draws on its library of study materials to create practice problems. After you complete a problem set, you can repeat the same problems as many time as you want by clicking restart. Once you exit a problem set, you can do another problem set with brand new questions.
This is currently free as Course Hero is in the middle of beta testing it, so take advantage while you can.
For personalized help, tutors are available 24/7 to answer your homework questions.
To get help from a tutor, ask your question, pick the subject you need help with, and a tutor will help you out. You can rate your tutor afterward. If you tried your best to get an answer from the tutors but they couldn’t help, you can have your tutor question given back to you.
Usually, tutors are fast about answering questions. In fact, several tutors are able to help you at the same time.
But to speed up the process, you have to be as specific as possible in your questions.
The tutors are fellow Course Hero users, meaning you can become a tutor and get paid to help others.
As a tutor, you’ll be helping your fellow Course Hero students.
Tutors get to pick their subject and set their own hours. You don’t need to show up anywhere either, so it makes for a decent side hustle.
Course Hero claims their top tutors earn $500 a week on average. That’s not bad side cash for an easy job you can do on your own time.
To become one, all you have to do is fill out their short application. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t get a response, though. Course Hero gets a ton of applications every day, and they can’t possibly respond to all of them.
I’d recommend listing all your relevant credentials and experience when you’re applying for a tutoring position. The more reasons you give them to hire you, the more likely you’ll get a timely response.
Unlocks can be earned a few ways.
For every 10 documents you upload, you earn 5 unlocks. Once these are uploaded, you earn 1 unlock for every 5 people that unlock a document of yours. 5 thumbs-up rating earns you another unlock.
You can even make quizzes for your uploaded study materials, which earn you 3 unlocks per quiz.
Most of your tutor questions are earned during the account creation process, while some can be earned through uploads.
Creating your account and verifying your email earn you 2 tutor questions each, while logging in with the mobile app for the first time nets you 5 more.
As for document uploads, you get 3 questions for the first 10 uploads, 6 more when you hit 30 total uploads, and another 6 questions when you hit 50 total uploads.
Sometimes, tutor questions will be relevant to a course on Course Hero. If you accept the tutor’s question, you can tag the tutor question to a course if prompted and earn back your tutor question.
Lastly, you can refer friends and earn 8 questions per referral.
Both unlocks and tutor questions take an hour or so to credit to your account once you upload a document, so don’t be alarmed if they don’t show up right away.
If you need help paying for school, they’ve got scholarships on there too.
Course Hero’s scholarships are really easy to apply for if you meet their application criteria. Most of them require a short answer, but some of the larger ones involve a bit of essay writing.
They change up the scholarships all the time, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re in school.
Educators can use Course Hero as well.
Course Hero offers accounts to educators so they can customize lesson plans using materials in Course Hero’s library. Unlocking these documents works the same for educators as it does for students.
Upsells
Course Hero’s main upsell is it’s Premier subscription. A Premier subscription gives you 30 unlocks a month, but your unlocks don’t roll over. Monthly subscribers get 10 tutor questions, quarterly (3 month) subscribers get 20 tutor questions, and yearly subscribers get 40 tutor questions.
Unfortunately, tutor questions don’t roll over. Once you use them, you’ll have to buy more or earn them as if you had a free membership.
For what you get, Premier doesn’t seem to be worth the price. If you’re a student, you probably don’t have the money or the willingness to spend the money anyways.
You might as well skip the upsell and earn your unlocks and tutor questions the free way.
Pricing
Course Hero’s basic subscription is free. The Premier subscription has 3 pricing options. You can $39.95 per month, $59.85 per 3 months, or $119.40 per year.
Opting for the 3-month option saves you $20 per month. The yearly option yields you $30 in savings.
If you’re a college student who’s always seeking out additional study resources, that yearly price might be worth it. If you simply have a hard semester, then the 3-month option might be better.
The monthly option isn’t really a great value unless you’re desperate and don’t have a lot of study documents yourself. You can always upload study materials and refer friends to earn free unlocks and questions.
Speaking of unlocks, you can only buy more of them if you have a Premier membership. Tutor questions can be bought at $3 a piece if you don’t want to earn them.
Affiliate Program
Course Hero has an affiliate program where affiliates can earn 10% commissions per referral. The affiliate program is run through various affiliate networks. These include Skimlinks, VigLink, ShareASale, Flexoffers, and CommissionJunction.
The affiliate networks Course Hero works with could change, so keep an eye out for that.
Course hero also provides you with branded icons and banners to market their site. To gain access to those, you must have an account and register for a Course Hero developer API key.
The refer a friend program isn’t exactly an affiliate program, but it does earn you a lot of tutor questions. Since tutor questions don’t roll over even for Premier subscribers, make sure to have a steady referral stream if you need a lot of tutor help.
Recap
Course Hero is definitely not a scam. In fact, it can’t be a scam or it wouldn’t exist in the first place.
Think about it.
If students didn’t benefit from Course Hero, then students wouldn’t contribute study materials to the platform. Course Hero would soon go under.
Based on their 10 million+ users, it doesn’t look too scammy to me.
I think crowdsourced education enhances the learning experience. It’s like having one large study group that’s willing to share all their resources with you and only you, as long as you give a little bit back.
Now, I can see why people equate using Course Hero with cheating. But how is browsing notes or getting tutor help online any different than sharing your notes with your classmates or visiting a tutor on campus?
Not to mention Course Hero bans anyone found violating their strict standards on cheating and copyright infringement.
Crowdsourced education is powerful, and Course Hero is a great example.

How This Award-Winning Indie Studio Sells Merch with an In-Game Gift Shop
https://120profit.com/?p=2246&utm_source=SocialAutoPoster&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Tumblr Games are more than just a pastime or even pieces of interactive art. They’re entire worlds that are built for us to visit, that are able to pull us back from time to time, that still cross our minds even as we go about our lives. It’s these worlds that Snowman—a development studio based in Toronto— believes in building, and it's become the basis for many of the decisions they’ve made as both a business and as the developer of the award-winning indie game, Alto’s Adventure. That philosophy is also the reason they’re among the first in their industry to incorporate a merch store directly into their game with Shopify’s Unity Buy SDK—a decision that resulted in them making 60% of their annual revenue from product sales in 30 days. But first, you’ll need to understand a little bit about how Snowman and Alto’s Adventure came about. Alto’s Adventure: The Making of an Award-Winning Game Snowman might be a small development studio based in Toronto, Canada, but it consists of a distributed team of over 35 people around the world. It all started when co-founders, and childhood best friends, Ryan Cash and Jordan Rosenberg set out to build apps to take advantage of all the attention that was on the then-new Apple App Store. After a few attempts at building productivity apps—including Checkmark and Shifts—Snowman found its way into gaming with their first minimalist game, Circles. None of their early projects, however, were what they would call a success. It wasn’t until Ryan fell sick and spent days on end playing Ski Safari that he was reminded of his fond memories of both snowboarding down the slopes in real life and playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater as a kid. It didn't just inspire his vision for a new game, but a feeling that it had to capture. And so they partnered with Harry Nesbitt, a talented illustrator and developer based in England, and gave him full creative control over designing the game and the world that is now Alto’s Adventure. After 18 months, Alto’s Adventure was finally released in the iOS App Store on February 19th, 2015 and became an almost-instant success. The game itself is an endless runner, taking reference from classics like Journey or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, where players are tasked with collecting coins and doing insane tricks. Where Alto really differentiates itself is in its design, fluidity, and sound, all of which come together to create a meditative experience unlike any other. The beautiful landscapes allow the player to escape into Alto’s world, where "everything else sort of just disappears" when "in rhythm with the mountain." The game received high-praise from reviewers over it’s unique art style and aesthetics. It went on to win multiple awards including the App Store Best of 2015, Product Hunt’s Game of The Year, and a Pocket Gamer Gold Award. There’s even a successor that’s soon to come in the form of Alto’s Odyssey. But underneath it all, there’s the beating heart of a business. And on that front, Snowman has made some careful and well-researched decisions. Alto’s Business: Monetizing a Mobile Game Monetizing a digital product like a game can be a tricky endeavor, especially when you consider the backlash from consumers for add-on downloadable content that you need to pay for and freemium games like Farmville that let you spend real money to speed up the slow-paced grind of gameplay. But those who do it right are seeing the results—giants like Supercell (maker of Clash of Clans), for example, have pulled in over $2.3B in revenue with digital purchases in their games. Snowman, however, opted to take a different approach. They decided to segment their monetization strategy based on device, and for good reason. On iOS, Alto’s Adventure costs $4.99 USD to purchase and that's the only purchase you're compelled to make. For Android, though, it’s free to download and you can purchase power-ups with real world money and occasionally have the option to revive Alto when you crash by watching an ad. This is due to the smaller potential player base on Android where sales of the game alone wouldn’t be enough to sustain it. According to Eli Cymet, the studio's Lead Producer, “On Android, Alto’s Adventure has just gotten over 20 million downloads recently, which has really allowed us to speak to a larger number of players through the game. And so the monetization is different where some of the digital goods can be purchased [with real money]. For example, for $4 you can purchase an item called the Coin Doubling Scarf.” None of these purchases or actions are necessary to enjoy or succeed with the game—Eli emphasizes that the goal was always to monetize in an ethical way that didn’t detract from having a quality experience sliding down the slopes in Alto’s world. This commitment to the player’s experience and creating a world that’s easy to get lost in hasn’t just shaped their digital monetization, but also their strategy with merch. Merch as a Bridge Between the Game World and the Real World Casual and hardcore gamers alike know the power of a strong IP—whether it’s Super Mario or Pokemon—when it comes to merch. This still holds true with mobile gaming, as evidenced by Rovio, maker of Angry Birds, which generated more than 40% of its $200 million revenue through licensing official Angry Birds merchandise. So given the love Snowman had received for Alto’s Adventure, the studio decided to use merch to bring Alto’s world to life. In September 2016, Snowman launched The Snowman Store, featuring an Alto Collection of game-related products. But they didn’t simply slap game references onto a t-shirt and put a price tag on it. With the game itself, Snowman wanted to create a wintery world that their players could escape to. Snowman saw their merchandise as an opportunity to bring that world to life. They designed their products to feel as if they could come directly from Alto's sleepy alpine village. Merch isn’t the main game that Snowman wanted to play with Alto’s Adventure, according to Eli. Instead, it’s an extension of the world-building that they’ve already invested so much time and talent into. Snowman wanted to ensure high quality craftsmanship for their merchandise. Alto’s Lost Llamas, for example, were handcrafted in Germany by Zimt Beadwork, using a process called Needle Felting. This enabled Snowman to form soft wool around handmade wire frames with thousands of tiny pokes. Alto’s Toque, similarly, is handmade in partnership with Threads of Peru to ensure a high quality wool product where no two are exactly the same. So much care was put into ensuring a connection between the digital game and their physical merch that Harry Nesbit, the creative mind that designed Alto’s world, also helped design the products themselves. For Snowman and Alto’s Adventure players, the merchandise bridges the gap between the online world and the offline world. It provides players a way to connect with their favorite game while they're sitting at their desk, or out on a cold wintery day. But there was still a gap between the store and the game. Until, that is, the opportunity arrived to actually build an in-game merch store where players could buy items from Alto's world without having to leave it. Launching One of the First In-Game Gift Shops This experience with Shopify and the Unity Buy SDK has shown us that there's demand out there [for merch] that far outweighs what you could ever expect. Eli Cymet, Lead Producer at Snowman In April 2017, Shopify showcased a beta version of the Alto’s Adventure in-game Custom Storefront, using the Unity Buy SDK at the Shopify Unite Conference. On July 20th of the same year, Snowman officially launched an update to Alto’s Adventure, including a fully implemented Custom Storefront that made merch discoverable and purchasable inside the game. The reception from fans was overwhelming. This new Gift Shop allowed Snowman to not only unlock an additional sales channel for their merch, but also create a more immersive game experience by connecting their players with hand-crafted Alto’s goods that felt like they were lifted from the game world. Over the first 30 days after launching the in-game store, Snowman made over 60% of their previous year's revenue from merchandise and saw 75% of net new sales come through the in-game storefront. These are surprising results when you consider that Alto’s Adventure is a 2-year-old game, selling for around $5. It’s crucial to us that anything in the game feels like an authentic part of that universe. Shopify’s Unity Buy SDK helped us bring the Alto Gift Shop to life exactly as we imagined it. Eli Cymet, Lead Producer at Snowman Gaming: A New Frontier for Commerce If the history of commerce has taught us anything, it’s that the closer the point of purchase is to the point of engagement, the more likely people are to buy. And games engage our attention like nothing else, some for even hundreds of hours on end. That’s why merchandise is no longer an afterthought in the gaming industry. In addition to Alto’s Adventure, other studios in the industry are following suit, including Campo Santo’s Firewatch, which lets you order prints of photos you take in-game, and Bungie’s recent $777,000 Destiny t-shirt that can be purchased for $24.99 when you’ve satisfied certain conditions in the actual game. As Alto’s Adventure shows, players accustomed to spending anywhere between $1 to $5 on in-game digital purchases are open to paying more than $50 dollars on a a quality product inspired by the game world, like a hand-knitted llama. Physical products let players bring a small piece of their favorite gaming worlds back with them into the real world, acting as a bridge, a badge of honor, and a reminder of fond hours of playtime.
