There's wine and broken glass on the floor of Crowley's flat now and the resident demon is also very confused. This happened due to Aziraphale's metaphorical heart attack (when he popped round with a bottle to share) thanks to the condition Azi thought he'd found the demon in. And the panic is Crowley's fault. CLEAN UP YOUR SHEDS, YOU LAZY SERPENT!

Crowley stares at the wine covering his floor, the broken glass mocking in its existence. Surprisingly, neither the wine or the glass answers his silent question, which is really rather rude of it if he's honest.

Realising the wine isn't going to help him solve the mystery of how it came to be, he walks into his apartment. Once past the wards, he can hear what's going on inside it.

Is that Aziraphale? Why is he wailing?

Slipping at the milkshake he'd nipped out to get, Crowley follows the sound of crying. He finds Aziraphale in the middle of the floor, crying over... his shed skin?

'...angel? Why are you crying over my shed skin?' he asks, trying to sort through what Aziraphale had actually been wailing. It was a little high pitched and sad to make out easily. But a part of him is warmed by the thought that Aziraphale cares so much, he's crying over shed skin.

Aziraphale stiffens before dropping the skin as he turns and throws himself at Crowley. 'Crowley!' he cries as he moves.

Crowely barely has a moment to breathe before the angel is on him, clinging to him tightly. He summons words to reassure the poor angel, even as a part of his mind works through what must have happened.

The angel must have found his shed and thought...

Ah.

It's his fault.

'I wasn't expecting you,' he says once the tears have dried. 'I didn't think to clear up. I'm sorry.'

Aziraphale softly lets him off the hook but that doesn't stop his heart pounding, the guilt sinking into him.

'I'm honoured to think you'd care so much if I dropped dead tomorrow,' he says, trying to lighten the mood with a joke.

Aziraphale gives him a teary grin. 'Of course dear! Don't ever think I wouldn't.'

Well then. Aziraphale needs calming and cheering up. Only one way to do that.

'Come on angel, let's get some food into you. Should settle you down.'

Aziraphale nods, letting Crowley throw an arm over his shoulder. 'Oh and dear?'

'Yes?'

'In future, please clean up your sheds, you lazy serpent.'

Laughing, Crowley leds the angel away.

I am actually doing one right now! I did NOT like the thought that ALL the worm babies will be taller than ME someday! It will be much easier to continue blending in if I were to find a way to BECOME TALLER MYSELF!!
