My part of the trade with @rachell-redacted!

The idea here is that the flower crowns are made from the plants native to Michigan - black-eyed susans for Doug and woodland phloxes for Chell.

Chellmann is so funny to me cuz it’s like “Hey what if Chell was in a healthy relationship that doesn’t involve a robot that tried to kill her?” The shippers just want good things for Chell and I can respect that. Chell does kinda deserve better

Going to be predictable here and go with glados, and of course chelldos. Even if theoretically I shipped them with anyone else I'd still have to include the other party in the mix because they are just a package deal to me. Glados is just so obsessed with chell that I think in any other romantic relationship she would have, she would STILL not shut up about her. It makes me too sad to completely leave her out of chell's life and vice versa :[

Going from the Baldur’s Gate fandom back to the good ol’ Portal fandom can feel wild at times. On one side, you have BG3 with all its tragic companions escaping cycles of abuse that the fandom recognizes as a good thing (see: everyone’s aggressive frustration of Gale trying to go back to Mystra, Ascended versus Spawn Astarion, Shar and Shadowheart, etc.)

Meanwhile, going back to the Portal fandom, one is absolutely swarmed with Chelldos and Chell x Wheatley (Chelley?). Now I’m mature enough to not say these ships shouldn’t be allowed, it’s fiction please do whatever you want. Both ships have been around since the first stars burned hot and will be around when the stars are cold and that’s beautiful. I simply find it interesting that while both games tackle themes of abusive relationships and in one way or another escaping from them, both communities have very different ways of portraying these relationships in fanfiction.

Anyways yes I am a Chell x Rattmann enjoyer.
