and what if i was thinking about my werewolf jimmy + vampire tango au more?? what if i was thinking about OTHER characters? this is spinning around in my head so i'm gonna dump it here,, dshjshjk

it's mentioned one-off in the fic, but tango knows the only werewolves in the city live ACROSS THE CITY from him meaning that jimmy was literally trekking across the entire damn city to go see tango and walk him home from work ;-; they're both so dumb hsjhsjkdk

Joe is one of Tango's co-workers at the cafe where he works. no-one knows what's up with him, but when he starts telling a story you have to sit and listen to him finish it. you can't leave until he's stopped talking. those that are aware of the supernatural know that he's not some kind of siren, but they still don't know what he is. they've got a discussion going on in the "supernatural circles" they've got going on. Joe finds this endlessly hilarious.

There's several other vampires in the city, all of which try to keep out of each other's way. Tango and Mumbo are two of these vampires (the others are undecided/background characters). HOWEVER! they do meet up once a month at Tango's place of work (mainly because he's always working a shift when they want to meet) to discuss what areas to avoid because someone's gone and bitten a few too many people there recently and the locals are setting up Facebook pages to try and figure out what's happening

Scott and Lizzie are both sirens. Scott is a swim teacher, and parents bring children that have difficulty with fear of water/swimming to where he works because he just seems "magical" with how he's teaching their kids to swim (he's enchanting them. he's enchanting them into enjoying swimming)

Grian, Joel and Jimmy are the only pack of wolves in their city, and they all call each other "brothers" despite not actually being related because they all got turned around the same time and were friends in school together. (they all got bitten together because they were all being IDIOTS together)

Pearl lives in the next city over and is also a werewolf, but is more of a lone wolf than the others. She lives with her dog Tilly, and that's her "pack"

There's an actual werewolf pack in this other city, which is home to Ren, Martyn and Bdubs. Etho is also technically part of this group, but he's also a "were-fox" (idk even know if those exist it just seems fun to me) and goes between the two cities because he has friends in both

My Favorite RWBY Ship (RE-DO)

Okay, Since the series is probably going to confirm either Bumblebee or Black Sun eventually, I need to be honest with you all and get this off of my chest. I’ve been giving this a lot of thought and I have decided.

My personal favorite RWBY ship is Knightshade (Jaune Arc x Blake Belladonna).

[Warning! RWBY volume 4 spoilers ahead]

Yep. Now, Hear me out. I know it’s rare, and odd but I love these two together! They just seem like the perfect fit to me. So I urge you to keep an open mind.

Real quick, Lets address the elephant in the room. They don’t really talk to one another. Hell, I’m pretty sure they barely even make eye contact (besides RWBY Chibi), and tbh, that does put a damper on things when pairing them up. However, I’m certain with the right amount of time spent together, these two could really click!

For instance, here’s some things they both have in common:

They both aspire to become hunters to do good by by those who need it, no matter if they were a human or a faunus 

They’re both socially awkward in different ways with Jaune being too involving and Blake not wanting to be involved at all.

They both have difficulty owning up to their mistakes

They both feel a part of guilt for lying to their teams about their past (Jaune cheating to get into beacon Academy / Blake being a former White Fang member)

And I know it sounds ridiculous to mention, but they both DO like to read. Albeit Jaune with comics, Blake with books.

Look, I know its not gonna be love at first sight, but it’s potentially a more realistic and engaging reason than what Sun and Blake have going for them. Which is close to nothing if you really think about it. But, let’s stay on track.

Another thing to consider is that while they do have a lot in common, there’s also a plenty of differences to make the “opposites attracts” element that everyone loves in Black Sun and Bumblebee, work.

Jaune is light hearted and goofy, whereas Blake is more deadpan and blunt, but both have shown that they’re able to go the opposite direction once in a while. Jaune can be more serious and firm with being a leader and Blake can be more uplifting about certain situations and people.

Being complete opposites, but coming to an emotional middle ground. Making them perfect to work off of each other!

Here’s something else to consider. After the devastating effect of the Fall of Beacon Academy in Volume 3, the parallels between Jaune loosing Pyrrha and Blake and Adam’s relationship coming to a violent turning point, could be very interesting. If put together, Blake would try to comfort Jaune because she can relate to feeling terrible for a loved one’s downfall. And in return, Jaune finally understands why Blake acts so distant from everyone. Now, he can sympathize with her situation and feels equally helpless. Thus having them appreciate each other’s comfort would draw them closer to one another.

Okay, now for the juicy part! Ghira and Jaune’s relationship.

Again, this is probably just as justified with Sun and Ghira’s relationship. But if you think Sun has a hard enough time trying to gain Ghira’s blessing, Imagine what Jaune would have to go through! Not only is Jaune most likely not the kinda man Ghira expected his daughter would end up with (assuming Adam and Ghira were particularly close before Ghira left The White Fang), but also Jaune being a human dating a faunus would potentially bring the conflict of a mixed relationship to the forefront. Having these three (Jaune, Blake, and Ghira) all try to see eye-to-eye could not only help Ghira learn to forgive the past discrimination and accept that not all humans are hateful towards the faunus, but also develop Jaune into more of a man and natural leader thanks to the help of Blake and her family. Speaking of which…

JNPR and RWBY in conflict.

This relationship being canon could even affect Ren and Nora, perhaps both are heartbroken that Jaune just sort of found new love so soon, making Pyrrha’s feelings for him seem naught in their eyes. And any divided loyalties could cause some tension between team RWBY & JNPR. This could actually bring up a good argument/discussion about love, sacrifice, and death that could tragically tear the friends apart (maybe in similar fashion to “Captian America: Civil War”).

Now, as to arguments against all of this, like:

Blake and Jaune don’t even talk to one another!

Jaune doesn’t have the right persona (or ab structure) like Sun and Yang!

Yang and Blake were meant to be! THINK OF THE GAYS, MAN!

Jaune is only for Pyrrha! They kissed, so there can’t be anyone else!

You shouldn’t ship something that’s so far from cannon!

To be honest, I don’t like Black Sun. I don’t dislike Bumblebee or Arkos, however. They’re both OK with me. But, I don’t see Bumblebee happening and Arkos is….well…sunken at the moment.

As to Arkos being dismissed, it really wont. Everything with Jaune and Pyrrha is still there and happened. This is just a bonus!

In conclusion, even if it’s very unlikely to ever become cannon, Knightshade would have so much potential as a couple and as a duo in general. The writers are admittedly pretty content with Black Sun being their next ‘in-canon’ ship, So just consider this ‘food for though’.
