To me, this image embodies everything it means to be a United Stares Marine. A rugged, highly-trained warrior who is ready at a moments notice to do great violence upon our nation's enemies and protect our way of life. Just seconds later, he becomes a gentle, loving and compassionate individual who is ready to care for and protect those who are too weak or unable to protect themselves.

Most people in this world are unable to grasp how Marines are able love and care for others with the same hands they are trained to do violence and kill with. This is why they will never become a Marine and those of us who have earned the title will always be proud of it. Semper Fi to all my fellow Marine brothers and sisters out there who continue to carry on our proud history and traditions.

Outcaste Nakshatras: The Misfits & the Misunderstood

Yesterday I made a post about how outcaste nakshatra natives tend to be anti-establishment thinkers and how many of the most well known radicals & revolutionaries of our world tend to have Outcaste nakshatras.

Outcaste or Mleccha nakshatras belong outside the caste system and aren't given a place in the caste hierarchy. Shudra nakshatras are the lowest caste to occupy the hierarchy. Mleccha is considered lower than that and thus outside the system.

(Ashlesha, Bharani, Shravana and Vishaka are the Mleccha nakshatras)

Thus it comes as no surprise that those who have Outcaste naks often experience being socially outcast, excluded and like they don't belong anywhere.

Shudra nakshatras also experience these themes to a certain degree as these two are at the lowest end of the pyramid.

Shannen Doherty (middle) was fired from 2 shows, Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed because of issues among the cast members & rivalry between them. When she was starring in 90210, her fellow cast member Tori Spelling whose father Aaron Spelling produced the show, asked her dad to fire Shannen. Aaron Spelling also produced Charmed and subsequently fired her after 3 seasons due to her conflict with cast member Alyssa Milano, who later admitted that she was responsible for a lot of the tension at work. Rose McGowan who replaced Shannen on Charmed also accused Milano of creating a toxic work environment.

Shannen acquired a "bad girl" reputation and was known for being "difficult to work with"🙄I feel like she was pushed into a corner by her male producers and bitchy co-stars and felt excluded among them as a girl from a small town in Tennessee :(

Isaiah Washington was fired from Grey's Anatomy for using a homophobic slur against gay co-star T.R Knight. Washington has come out saying that this is false and that he said the f word during a dispute with Patrick Dempsey who had a tendency to provoke him (he apparently said: "Isaiah, do you know that white men are the masters of the universe?")

He also said that he was always excluded on set and they tried to pay him to NOT audition for the role. Washington also claimed that star Ellen Pompeo was given millions of dollars to stay silent about Dempsey's on-set behaviour in the #MeToo era, and alleged that she was racist, saying, “She really thinks that she’s cool with Black people like that, but she’s not.” There have been many rumours over the years about Greys being a toxic work place so tbh I am inclined to believe him.

Not everyone tries to expose their former bosses or colleagues but given his Moon in a Kshatriya nakshatra (or warrior nak) I see how he's brave enough to risk everything to speak his truth.

Brendan Fraser has had a lot of setbacks in his career and for a good period he just sort of disappeared from Hollywood; in recent years he has come out saying that it's because he was blacklisted by the then President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association who had sexually assaulted him. He did make a career comeback and won an Oscar but man's been through a lot in life.

Tatjana Patitz was one of the 90s supers (she's the one in the back in this picture) but unlike Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington or Cindy Crawford, she's hardly ever mentioned in conversations about the 90s OG supermodels. She received very little press coverage and unlike the others who've made career comebacks or enjoyed sustained fame, Tatjana kind of vanished. She unfortunately passed away in 2023 from breast cancer and even then I haven't seen the industry mourning for her or anything :(

(I had previously spoken about the outcaste nakshatra tendency to be anti-establishment or to dedicate their life to causes which had initially affected them personally).

Amal has Shravana Sun, Jyeshta Moon and Venus in Dhanishta atmakaraka. Due to the presence of Vaishya naks, she gets to support these causes from a position of immense privilege and champions them through her position as a lawyer, i.e, using her intellect not armed struggle or some other form of activism.

Megan Fox's career was full of ups and downs and for a period she was pretty much blacklisted from Hollywood and labelled "difficult to work with"🙄

Even though her moon is in a Mleccha nak, due to her other luminaries being in Brahmin naks she's enjoyed immense popularity among the public for years and has always enjoyed a certain status or level of fame (largely due to her looks but honestly Hollywood is full of gorgeous women, how many enjoy the same popularity or public interest as Meghan?).

Billie Eilish, Shravana Moon grew up lower middle class and was home-schooled. Even though now she's rich & famous, she still acts like an outcast and "does not fit in".

Angelina Jolie, Revati Moon & stellium has spoken a lot about being unpopular in school, being a punk, being misunderstood. She has Mercury in Mrigashira atmakaraka and Saturn in Punarvasu as her chart ruler

Revati is a Shudra nak, Punarvasu also experiences themes of being an outcast, Mrigashira nak has themes of abuse.

It makes sense as to why she has dedicated most of her life to helping refugees and championing numerous causes and has even said if she were young now she would never have become an actor. She enjoys immense popularity and is very privileged (lots of Vaishya gana naks in her chart) but to this day she's condemned for her weird behaviour in the 90s and early 2000s and can never seem to shed her past image completely which is crazy because she's not the first or last person to have an affair with a married man (not condoning adultery just saying that it happens all the time in Hollywood and people hardly bat an eye but for her, her reputation as a homewrecker has come to define her).

Claire Nakti had done a survey on nepo babies and concluded that Revati was the most common nakshatra among them. This is very interesting to me because I feel like most Revati nepo babies including Angelina, Jamie Lee Curtis, Robert Downey Jr etc acquire fame that far exceeds that of their parents. It eclipses any privilege they already had; all these individuals are far more successful than their parents ever were. Obviously being privileged helps and this does not apply to all Revati nepo babies ofc but many people mentioned on the list are total superstars who you'd never guess came from famous families, this is to say that they're not famous for being famous or because of their families, they're icons in their own right.

And even with Angelina, she grew up with a single mom and was estranged from her dad for most of her life so her upbringing was rather modest even with the showbiz ancestry she had.

Olga is a Polish writer who is known for the weird, quirky, mystical, and philosophical nature of her novels (She received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2018). It can be said that many of her characters live on the fringes of society but have a very strong sense of justice and fairness despite their position that renders them powerless. She has 2 Mleccha naks in her big 3 and a Brahmin one, I thought this particular quote was very interesting because its Mleccha naks who acutely understand the nature of human suffering but the Venus ruled Brahmin nak insists on how being deluded, that our psyches prevent us from seeing the true nature of human suffering. If you saw everything exactly as it was, you'll die. In order to live, you must be willing to be deluded.

Lindsey Lohan, Ardra Sun, Bharani Moon & Mrigashira Rising plays a social outcast in Mean Girls who tries to infiltrate a popular girls group (despite having a Shudra & Mleccha nak, her Vaishya asc helps her ascend the social hierarchy to some extent). The movie ends with her having managed to destroy the clique of the Plastics and create a new social order at her highschool.

Miley Cyrus is a Vishaka Moon & Demi Lovato is a Bharani Moon and its pretty well documented how they both didn't feel like they "belonged" or "fit in". They rebelled in different ways and have opened slammed Disney on multiple occasions.

Scared?” “Why would I be scared of three boys?” “Three armed boys”, Isaiah said, slightly opening his jacket and exposing the gun strapped to this side, causing Y/N’s eyes to widen as her breath quickened, “Why did you three wait?”

“Wanted to talk”, Michael said as he glanced at Finn, “We won’t shoot you, don’t worry.” “I doubt you could”, Y/N scoffed with her arms crossed over her chest, “Most boys I see with guns end up shooting themselves on accident.” “We know how to handle our guns”, Finn reassured the girl with a small smirk tugging at his lips as Y/N looked down at her hands before back up at him, “Then, I shouldn’t be scared of walking with you?” “Anything but that”, Finn said calmly, his hands in the pockets of his pants, “You’re walking with a Shelby, only a mad-man would dare to harm you while you’re out with me, eh?” Y/N laughed to herself, looking at the water, “How many bodies have you throwing into the water, huh?”

Her question caught the boys off guard as they glanced at each other, before any of them could answer she had dropped her smile and looked coldly at the three, “I know exactly what you Peaky Blinders and Shelbys do. I also know that only your older brothers served in the war, not you. Don’t act like you’ve got the biggest cock of them all.”

Finn chuckled as he looked at his friend and cousin, “You’re a brave one for talking to me like tha-“ “Why? Because normally you’d throw a girl a couple pounds and they gladly tell you how much better than your brothers you are? Or because you usually have some of your Blinders beat a girl up for talking her mind? I’ve met boys like you, they’re everywhere in the world, don’t act like you’re special.” “Look”, Michael said after having cleared his throat, reaching his hand out to the girl, “I think we started off on the wrong foot. Y/N just sighed as she shook her head, “Sorry then”, she looked at Finn with genuine eyes, “I’m sorry, not used to boys trying to be nice without having an alter motive.” “Is understandable. I’m sure you get alter motives from boys often”, Finn said as he also reached his hand out which Y/N shook, “Finn Shelby.” “Isaiah Jesus”, the third boy said as he shook Y/N’s hand after Finn, giving the girl a grin and a wink at which the girl laughed, “Nice to meet you Isaiah.”

“So where you live?”, Michael asked as the group of four had started walking, accompanying Y/N to her house. Their walk was filled with Smalltalk, mostly Finn and Isaiah talking about how life in Small Heath was like, who to make a big circle around and who was okay to talk to.  

“And what about you guys?”, Y/N asked as she stood in front of her door, having turned on the step to look at the three with a raised eyebrow, “Do I publicly and openly talk to you or make a big circle around you?” “Well, you can always talk to Finn, Isaiah and me, John’s okay too, just keep your distance his wife can be protective, Arthur probably won’t be interested in you much but does own the pub you work in. So be nice to him but not overly nice”, Michael said. “And what about the other guy? The one with icy-blue eyes. Thomas?” “Well, you defiantly don’t wanna cross him and get on his bad side”, Finn said, “Adress him as Mr. Shelby when you see him and be a polite lady.” Y/N just nodded, “Then I’ll see you three around.”

With that she entered her new home and shut the door in the boys faces as the three made their own way back home together, still going back to a different pub that was still open. “Oh I’m so calling dips on that”, Finn said as Isaiah groaned, “She totally won’t fuck you. Not after how she was mad you!” “I’m saying I can fuck her first”, Michael grinned as the three boys started lightly bickering in fun about the new barmaid.

A/n: so this was quite short, however, the next ones gonna be where shit gets real. I spent some days trying to figure out what to make this part to be, but really this short one needs to be posted to move the other parts forward. Thanks for reading, feedback is appreciated :)

He had a walking stick.

Two days later and your voice continued to replay inside Tommy's head, even as he walked into Camden Town.

Usually Tommy always had a plan in mind. He knew how to strategically plan every single detail whilst anticipating all possible outcomes. Most times, it would take him perhaps half an hour to come up with a plan.

However this time was different. He had seen Campbells body, he had seen him dead. Yet, somehow his sister had seen on the contrary.

Tommy did realize it was possible that it was someone with a similar description, but Tommy knew to follow his gut, which told him it wasn't what he had subconsciously hoped.

That night, Tommy heard back from Finn, letting them know Grace was in America, married to a wealthy man.

It did put him at a little ease knowing the filthy barmaid wasn't in the same city as his family, that she was an ocean across.

It made you uneasy to have seen your normally stoic and expressionless brother loose composure and instead look caught off guard for a split passing second when you told him about the man you'd seen. Tommy, who normally wasn't shaken or phased by anything, did look fearful for a second that passed by quicker than you could blink.

If it was enough to make Tommy Shelby look a little fearful, you knew you were well and truly fucked.

Instead of responding to what you had told him, he simply looked at you and said "get some sleep- or more of it I suppose" he stood up.

When you woke the next morning, you felt off. Incredibly off. Something was very off, you weren't sure what it was, your head felt a bit fuzzy, but overall you just felt- wrong.

You wondered if you should still go to university or take an off day, but you truly didn't want to skip. You wanted to power through so that's what you did.

Putting on a fresh pair of clothes, downstairs Pol had made you a cup of tea, sipping on that eased your head and feeling better you headed out.

You quickly bid Polly goodbye and left for london. Again you were aware of Isaiah trailing you a few streets later, smiling to yourself you continued walking, not acknowledging him.

The more you pretended you had no idea your brother was having Isaiah trailing you, the more peaceful it would remain. Everything would turn chaotic if you spoke to him about it.

So you didn't.

Arthur grabbed the bottle off the counter and walked out of the Garrison, turning the corner of the building, he observed the people and the children running around.

Taking a swig of the drink and he looking ahead he spotted someone standing at the far end of the street, Arthur's eyes didn't work as well as they once did, but he was sure of who he had seen.

After the multiple times he'd been badgered and clobbered by his family for acting too impulsively, he decided it would be best if he spoke to his brothers and aunt first.

Barging into their home, Arthur looked into the kitchen where Ada, Pol and Tommy sat. Ada had just rolled her eyes at Tommy, who Arthur was surprised to see had returned from Camden Town so quickly, when she spotted Arthur.

"OH look, another fuckin one of us"

Arthur looked behind him wondering if his sister was slowly loosing her mind, not thinking of a single reason why she'd be pissy with him.

"Right.." he paused, shaking his head " uhm 4 out 7 of us aint so bad-" he muttered to himself.

Tommy raised a brow.

"Yeah guess who I've just spotted yeh" he rushed.

Sitting down, he slammed his hand on the table, making Pol and Ada snap their heads at him and look irritated while Tommy remained indifferent.

" I've just fookin seen Campbell, FOOKIN CAMPBELL!"

Tommy's eyes, Pol noticed, went still. They looked almost dead, his eyes looked empty but Pol, she could see that though his eyes were emotionless his shoulders were tense and his hands loosened around his cup.

Pol breathed heavy, she couldn't understand, she had just gotten Michael back, granted Michael was still away, but he came every now and then, for once things seemed stable and out of the nowhere, there was another rubbish hand they'd been dealt.

However, she remained composed.

"Where?" Tommy asked.

"Near the street- that goes towards the trains"

Tommy lurched up from his seat so quick his chair scraped and fell over, irritating Ada.

Arthur followed behind, not knowing where exactly his brother was headed, but he followed closely.

Squinting you tried to focus on the shabby red tube of paint in your hand but put down your brush and rubbed your head when the pain got worse and you were struggling to keep your eyes open.

You decided to drink some water, not having drank water in a while you assumed that perhaps the lack of water probably caused a headache.

So you kept rubbing your temple, but after twenty minutes when it didn't improve, deciding it was best to head home you excused yourself, grabbed your bags and notified you professor who let you go.

The hallway was rather empty except the occasional professor that walked past, but this time there wasn't anyone. Heading for the large door from where a little sunlight crept in, your head swayed, it felt almost far too heavy for you to hold up before you plunged into darkness.

Tommy needed a plan. A quick one. He noticed someone running towards him from the corner of his eye, turning he saw it was Isaiah's father.

"Tommy" he breathed "have you seen Isaiah?"

Tommy raised a brow " I suppose he's in london, with y/n"

"I'm not sure that's possible, i haven't seen 'im in two days, and my boy, he checks in every day, never misses a day" his eyes wide and hands shaking.

Tommy froze. Throwing the cigarette out of his mouth, he looked at the young boys father "we'll find 'im" he promised.

"Arthur" Tommy turned to his brother "need you send a letter"

The 2 hours to London had been excruciating- Tommy's hand had almost gone numb from gripping the steering wheel so hard.

If Isaiah hadn't been trailing you this whole time, then there was only one person that was. Tommy hadn't assigned anyone else to trail and look after you.

In the hustle and stress of all the work, Tommy completely overlooked checking in with Isaiah regarding you. Finn had been with Michael for the last few days which explained why no one other than Isaiah's father had noticed him missing.

With all his experiences Tommy knew there were unimaginably horrendous things that could happen in a less than a day.

The world was cruel, Tommy knew it better than anyone else, so he could imagine you never getting to show up to university again. He knew the possibility of his little artist's life being cut short was incredibly high in that moment.

He could only hope he as well as his brother were quick enough. If they lost a single second, they'd lose you.

Your arms felt heavy, and your head felt like it was tied down. But though your vision was black you could still hear some subtle noises. They sounded far off, just barely there. You struggled to open your eyes.

Your eyes still felt so heavy, almost like something was physically holding you back from opening your eyes.

After a few more tries, you decided to try in a bit again. Having fallen asleep, not aware of how much time had gone by, when you woke again- this time you felt lighter. Your head and arms remained heavy but after a few minutes you were able to peel your eyes open and look directly at the bright light that hung atop your head. Hissing slightly, you closed your eyes immediately.

"You might want to take it slow Ms. Shelby"

You could make out of course it was a man that had spoken, his irish accent thick.

Panicking, you jolted up, the sudden movement causing your head to hurt to the point where you scrunched your eyes in pain.

Looking up, you felt a little relieved knowing you were in a hospital. What unnerved you was the man who had been watching your house, now stood in front of you.

Your throat felt dry "who are you?"

"Inspector Campbell"

Tommy rushed onto your university grounds, ignoring the bewildered looks he got from professors. Immediately recognizing his peaky attire- the guard let him in without a word.

Asking a stunned young girl for where he could find students in Art, he slammed open the door to the room, making everyone jump. Some dropped their brushes on the floor as Tommy scanned the room for you, when he spotted the only empty chair he asked " where is y/n Shelby?"

His voice cold and calculating.

"Ah Mr. Shelby, were you not informed" the professor stood up and tried to usher Tommy outside, away from the students.

"Of what!" his patience wore thin.

"Y/N was taken to the hospital Mr. Shelby. She had lost consciousness in the hallway and when they were taking her away there was a man amongst them who said he was family" the professor paused " he had erm- the same hat as well your family, well actually he held the hat but he showed it to us regardless a-"

"What did this man look like?"

"Er- he was a rather a burly chap with a limp and uh, oh yes, he used a walking stick for that limp"
