Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ used to say: . اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي وَاجْعَلْ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ وَاجْعَلْ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ . Kiraman Katibeen Kiraman Katibeen: In Arabic “Kiram” is the plural of the word “Kareem”(meaning Noble) And “Katibeen” is the plural of the word “Katib”(meaning Writer) Kiraman Katibeen literally means “Honorable Writers” ALLAH SWT has Assigned for Each Person, Recording Angels entrusted with Preserving their Records of both Good & Bad, Major & Minor Deeds. They are stationed on both sides of Human Shoulders. The Angel on the Right writes down Hasanat(good deeds) & the Angel on the Left writes down Sayyiat(bad deeds). After the person's death, on the Day of Judgment these Angels will present the person with a copy of their Records & each person will be confronted with their Deeds. Allah SWT Says in Quran: “And Surely, (appointed) over you are Preservers;The Honorable Writers, They know all that you do.” [Sūrat Infitar (82:10-12)] And ALLAH SWT Mentions them to be “Raqeeb” & “Ateed” where Raqeeb means “Watcher/Observer” & Ateed means “Present/Ready” Allah SWT Says in Quran: “As the two Receivers receive, on the right & on the left, Seated. (Man) utters not a word, but there is by him A Watcher, Constantly Ready. [Sūrat Qaf(50:17-18)] The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Verily, a man might utter a word that pleases Allah the Exalted, unaware of how highly it will be regarded, and on its account Allah the Exalted & Most Honored Decrees His pleasure of him until the Day he meets Him. A man might indeed utter a word that angers Allah the Exalted, unaware of how dreadful it will be and on its account Allah the Exalted Decrees for him His anger until the Day he meets Him.'' Alqamah(RA) used to say, "How many words did I not utter because of the Hadith that Bilal bin Al-Harith(RA) narrated.'' [Tirmidhi, An-Nasai, Ibn Majah] Ibn Kathir(RA) mentions in Tafseer-Ibn-Kathir about the Angels that come to people in Succession by night and day. He writes “There are Four Angels at night & Four Angels during the day. Two Angels, on the right and left, record his Deeds, while Two Other Angels guard him & protect him, from front & back. So, there are Four Angels by Day & Four Angels by Night.” Apart from them, there is A Constant Companion Angel who accompanies a man all day & night, and does not leave him. #MHMDKIDS #ANGELS #islam
