hello friends!!

can you believe, in my almost four years of having lloyd at isola, that i've never made a permanent plotter for him before? well today, that's about to change! while he's made so many wonderful relationships during his time in the group, there's always room for more interactions, and i think it would be really fun to plot some out!

so if you're interested, keep reading!

if you like this post, that will let me know that you're okay with me sending you a DM about which specific relationship you'd like to plot. please just keep in mind that i may not reach out right away, as i have real life obligations (as does everyone!), but i absolutely will when i have time! i'm also going to keep the descriptions below a little bare, to give us room to discuss more in-depth when we chat one on one!

friends

one type of relationship lloyd treasures the most would be the bond he shares with his friends. he feels so incredibly lucky to know those he travelled with back at home, and while he always keeps them in his heart, there's always room to bring in more! lloyd is extremely good at breaking down other people's walls (with mun permission, of course) if they aren't very sociable, or if they have a lot of pain in their life. his hard-headedness is quite endearing, and he makes it his goal to make sure people know how much they truly matter in the world. he's also a total lovable goofball, who enjoys slacking off and having a good time! he makes a great friend, and is happy to be that towards anyone who might need one.

customers

lloyd loves his job as a blacksmith, and is always eager to take on new jobs! at this point in his life on the island, he's gotten a lot of experience, and enjoys the challenge of coming up with original ideas. maybe for weapons he's never even made before! if you'd like more information around the scope of his abilities, check out the fire and iron page here! if you need something done, he's your guy!

sparring partners / weapon enthusiasts

it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that while lloyd enjoys making weapons, he also loves seeing how they handle action! there's an entire training ground set up near his forge, and you can find lloyd there pretty regularly. if your character has a burning desire for combat, or just wants to practice their skills, lloyd is always happy to join in!

found family

this category is equally important to him as his friendships. lloyd was an orphan, and was raised by his adoptive father, so he's never been one to think that only those related to you by blood are your family. he's opened his arms up to many characters that he considers siblings at this point, but again, there is always room in his heart for more. if lloyd comes to care for you, he'll protect you with his life, and always go out of his way to make sure you're okay.

enemies

while still a happy-go-lucky guy, there are times where lloyd can get serious-- and that would mostly be when those he cares about are threatened in anyway. that's a sure-fire way to get you on his bad side. he also doesn't like people who are cruel just for the sake of it, who go out of their way to make people feel like they're lower than dirt, just because they were born. he will very openly fight for his own ideals in the face of discrimination, and may even resort to violence if the time comes for it. also, if you ask for his name before giving yours, that'll really make him mad <3

what's this? a permanent plotter repost? in my isola radiale, at 5am? it's more likely than you think... it has been a HOT minute since i've done anything like this. seeing as zhilan has long settled into spirale, i think it's about time i cast my reel into the pond a second time and start strengthening long-term plots for him. i'll preface this by saying we do not need to have threaded before for you to express your interest! if you think your muse can vibe with any of these  ( or even if you have an idea i haven't covered here! ) , you're more than welcome to hop onto this plotter call. RELATIONSHIPS. these are the bonds i want to see zhilan develop! some of these include——

FRIENDS. if you've been around zhilan for longer than 5 seconds, you've probably noticed that he is extremely friendly! zhilan has the personality of a sunbeam: it's bright, it's cheerful, it's warm and everything you would expect of a walking beacon of positivity. he's pretty talkative, even when faced with less talkative muses. he's also really trusting and believes the best in people, sometimes to his own detriment. he'd make a good friend to just about anyone, being a rather personable individual! he's got some good ones here, too. i'd like to have him strengthen those, while opening him to new ones! GEEK SQUAD. do you have a muse that's also super nerdy? you're in luck! they probably stand a chance of coming across zhilan in his natural element, that being his lab at the university or one of the libraries scattered about spirale. there is no greater joy to him than positing theories and discussing the nature of one's work. even if their fields differ, he'll want to hear all about it! ENEMIES. now, i feel like it's hard to get under zhilan's skin unless you're the absolute anarchy of humanity, BUT! i do think his optimism can rub people the wrong way, especially if they're more jaded. i'm not expressly looking for people to antagonize zhilan, but i do think it's impossible for him to get along with everyone. thus, i'm leaving this here! SPARRING PARTNERS. you wouldn't know it from zhilan's scrawny stature, but he does dabble a bit in martial arts! now that he's gotten his polearm back, he's actively looking to improve his combat skills… which are admittedly not that impressive, unless he's acting as a support. maybe your muse could act as a mentor, or even a fellow peer! THE MUSEUM. zhilan has a job position here! it's… kind of an odd choice, yes, but he doesn't exactly want to pursue an academic position at the university. so where better to put that treasure trove of knowledge to use than a museum! if you're visiting for any reason, you'll likely come across him among the gallery. just, er… not the abyssal gallery. he tends to keep out of there. THE UNIVERSITY. zhilan borrows one of the lab spaces here for work related things while he's in the middle of setting up his own establishment. zhilan doesn't have his own work office set up yet, but he does spend a lot of time in this one. he's gotten into the habit of helping history and anthropology majors with their research as they've started visiting him alongside clients. he's not a professor here, he swears. but he can't say no to those seeking knowledge! you'll find him here fairly often, when he's not at home or in... YESTERYEAR. zhilan frequents this branch rather often, being the sort to gravitate to old dilapidated ruins and forgotten history. if you know a thing or two about this branch, he'll be incredibly interested to hear about it! who knows! maybe the two of you can explore it together… CASTMATES. zhilan might be a fandom oc, but i'm really keen on the idea of him developing some established bonds with his canon counterparts.  ;v;  their shared canon background already gives them a good basis for interactions, so i'd like to nurture some connections for him with his genshin fellows! aaaand that’s about it! of course this doesn’t cover everything, so if you’ve got an idea and you don’t see it here you’re free to hop on this post and shoot it my way! thanks for reading!  :^)

While in theory, it's not hard to be Daisuke's friend. He prides himself on wearing his heart on his sleeve, though, he speaks before he thinks, which can end up being dicey at best. Sometimes his mouth gets the better of him...He cannot help this-

Friends

The sauce! He's a great friend to have, he's there when you need him or if he's not...Just send him a text and he'll find a way to get there. He wasn't chosen for the digimental of friendship for nothing.

Besties

It's also not super hard to earn bestie status. He's a bit rougher with his best friends, not in a negative way, though. In a: I love you so much but I'm also going to tease you kind of way.

Chef types

Don't ask why, but Daisuke is obsessed with the thought of running his own noodle shop. Right now, he's in his fledgling stages of learning his way around basic kitchen skills, but he has a good grasp on what flavor profiles work, and is pretty often found in a kitchen trying out new things and skills.

Rivals

With someone as loud as him, it wouldn't surprise me if he rubbed some people the wrong way. While Dai isn't ever malicious, he puts up a good fight, and there's nothing wrong with a healthy rivalry

This could be interesting? Digimon are essentially physical manifestations of data, which, Dai just thinks they're cool little guys who look funny :/ but some hijinks could ensue if anyone's in the hunter variety specifically!

I think it’s time that I made this here for Indigo Reyes! They need more interactions and I’d like to see them grow. They’re not my NEWEST Oc, I’ve had them around for years in an indie blog, but they are one of my newest ones in here! How odd that they are maybe the middle child of Isola, but the baby as well. ANYWAY, by liking this I’ll be comfortable to slide into your DMS and IMS and just talk about our muses, plotting, sending out memes on memeday, asks on any day, sponty starters, you name it!

Permanent Relationships

I know it's been like six years and I'm just doing one of these I'm a little late BUT. I'd like to throw Anda around a little. So... here I come! TL;DR is that if you're interested in plotting with a sad empath who smokes weed and collects shitty band shirts, you can give this a like!

General

Anda is an Empath, but where they're from, that works a little differently. Empaths house a culmination of a specific kind of emotion (called 'motes'), and seek/absorb those motes to live. They're extremely rare beings. An Empath only becomes an Empath when one dies and the next takes on the mantle of that particular emotion. In Anda's case, theirs is the Sorrow mote, and it's been kept like a curse in the family. But Anda is a kind soul, and rather collect and induce misery in others for their own gain, they prefer to live like a 'normal' young adult in a city. They often help others in trouble, and (of course) are naturally good at reading people. Absolute champ of running away from their own issues and insecurities to help others. If your muse is looking for some introspection, this is a good person to talk to!

Here are some things I'm interested in RPing! Under a cut for length~

Casual relationships/mentions/friendships

Anda's been in the city for a while, and can be found in late night music venues, any kind of place that sells not-fancy foods, and graveyards. They can also be found, uh... crying or sobbing in... random spots. So there's that? They're terrified of trains, though, so they're almost never at the city's center. They don't like going into the Mistwood either. Anda's been heartbroken by lovers disappearing from the city in the past, but isn't opposed to hooking up if they get along with someone.

A Helping Hand

It started with NPCs, but if Anda sees someone in distress, they're likely to try and help. Even if they don't feel like helping in the moment, the obligatory part of them will... but that's pretty rare. They don't like to see someone suffer, and has notoriously talked to sobbing strangers. NPCs may mention Anda has been taking care of some of the cemeteries around the city for years.

Wrong Place Wrong Time

The Sorrow Mote will guide the hands of fate to put Anda into miserable situations in order to get what it wants. Sometimes it's as small as someone having a break-up, and as big as the site of a tragedy.

A Haunted Soul

Anda's worst fears do happen in their life, as they've found out a couple years ago. They're aware of their death (alone in the estate, where no one will find them), but don't accept that it will happen. They're also aware that their spirit lives on in the Teika Estate as a vengeful ghost, and sometimes, glimpses of that ghost show up in reflections, nightmares, and those with a sensitivity to the spirit realm.

Other Psychics

Sometimes only empaths can understand empaths... when they're not, y'know. In a feedback loop of emotions.

Four Twenty

As a more lighthearted take, they're kind of the neighborhood stoner. And sometimes you'll see them smoking up in the park, the beach, a little out of the way, vibing outside... They're always willing to share

make no mistake, you can think you're at this level and siffrin will wholeheartedly believe you are just someone he knows until you say it outright. also important to note that getting close to him in the first place is more like taming a wild animal. it might take some time and some bribery? but not to worry, you've got all the time in the world compared to back home! he also has nothing better to do, so if you like his... whatever he's got going for him... let them know! it goes a long way. they'll die for you btw.

managed to mean a lot to him? okay... your mistake, but it can't be helped i guess. siffrin can be a little protective and maybe unknowingly possessive of those he really cares about. he might not be the most obvious about it, but they have their little ways of showing they care! rest assured he's going to great lengths (maybe not the healthiest ones either but don't worry about it) to make you happy! they'll make you little knickknacks, and i'm contractually obligated to let you know that they'll die even harder for you now (no, you can't escape this.)

enemies / horrible secret other thing i shan't say.

oh, yes, he is so wholly and completely capable of beefing with someone forever and ever, thank you for asking. it's really easy too in his current state, especially if you know the right buzzwords and just generally get under his skin. he will bite back if you insist on instigating, and is not opposed to picking a fight if it has to come to that. just note that if you're vying for the number one spot on his theoretical hit list you're out of luck, it's already accounted for.

romance / shipping.

are you sure? i mean, i'm going to level with you, he's definitely grey/aspec so we'd have to talk and work through a lot as it stands to get here, but i have no direct objections conceptually. just understand that just because we can talk it through doesn't mean it will necessarily work? anyway. i can't even pretend to sell this to you, he has no prospects and is in a pretty wretched mental state for this (as of writing at least) and if they get a silly little ability later he's definitely not going to abuse it to always get the best case scenario every interaction (would do this regardless but you understand how it's worse here right.) but if any of this sounds hot to you then who am i to throw stones from my glass house.

POLICY REMINDERS

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since we've last made one of these, but as we've had some new members and, unrelated, we've been seeing some mistakes made repeatedly, we just wanted to make a post to touch on some of our policies and expectations!

MASTERLIST

When sending a message, make sure you include all information relevant to the type of ask you're sending! You can find all of the relevant information under the related sections of the forms page!

If you are reapplying with a character who had personal housing during their previous stay and would like them rehoused in that housing on acceptance, please make sure to include that request in your application ask along with the name of that housing and how many bedrooms it had.

If your account has yet to be accepted by the masterlist, please do not follow the masterlist! Wait until your acceptance message has been posted first.

APPLICATIONS

Please keep in mind that the ABOUT section on your application must be at least three sentences, and the PERSONALITY section must be at least ten (fifteen for original characters).

Make sure to include your CANON DOUBLE section as well as whether you do or do not permit them. If you need a refresher on what does or doesn't count as a canon double, please look at this post!

If you have two characters that you would like to apply on the same blog (like a character and their vocal animal companion), all you need to do is make two application pages and link them on your blog! Doing this will take two slots, and both characters will require their own unlocks however!

GALAXY BLOG SUBMISSIONS

When ranking up, making a purchase, or claiming an event reward through the Galaxy blog, please make sure to include where on your blog we can find your threads and / or Star count. Usually you can just let us know what to add to the end of your URL to access that page (like "/tracker" for example).

If you are requesting an unlock for your character, please make sure to be as clear and concise as possible about what you'd like unlocked or upgraded! This lessens the chance of your ask being sent back for clarification!

TAGS

We have two tags for open posts (posts anyone can reply to): "#isola mini" and "#isola open"! The mini tag is for short opens ranging from a sentence to two paragraphs. Anything longer than that should be tagged with the open tag!

Rather than constantly adding new posts to the mini and open tags, we ask that you check out the tag yourself to see if anything that is already in there that you could reply to first. These tags only work if the posts placed inside actually get replies!

Likewise, posts in these tags should not be personal starters. If your starter is for a specific character, please tag them and don't place the thread in one of these tags.

We also have two tags for getting interest in threading: '#isola rp ad' and '#isola perm call'. The regular RP ad tag is self explanatory, where you like it and someone will make you a starter! The perm call tag is used when you're looking for specific or long term interactions that may be pre-plotted.

General etiquette for liking regular rp ads includes not liking over cap (if the post says they're capping it at 3 likes and it already has 3, don't like it) and not liking ads that are weeks old unless the mun has indicated they're okay with either!

OTHER

Please make sure that all NSFW content is both tagged and placed under a readmore. This not only includes sexual content, but also content that may be considered sensitive like gore.

You're only allowed to make three OOC posts in a single sixty minute period. This includes general OOC posts, RP ads, and image reblogs among others! The exceptions to this rule are during Meme Fridays, Mundays, or if the account is new and just setting up!

While we encourage member run events like dances and parties for the characters to attend between official group events, we ask that you ask the masterlist for permission first and only post this event after receiving permission for scheduling reasons! We could be running an event soon or another member might be running one, after all!

although the planet is currently at peace, a long, tragic war plagued the land for years-- becoming the very reason that it was separated in the past. with the help of his companions, lloyd has successfully brought both lands back together-- and although the citizens of tethe'alla and sylvarant are still adjusting to their new ways of life, everything is slowly starting to feel balanced again.

DAM-BI PERMANENT RELATIONSHIP PLOTTER CALL

Dam-bi has been in Isola for a while now and I'd like to think that her character development is going pretty well. With that being said, she needs more friends or just more people to meet! By liking this post, I'll safely assume that it's okay to send memes, jump into DMS or IMS, or whatever platform we have each other on to scream or plot, or whatever. I also like making spontaneous random starters for people, so I'll assume that's okay to do too!

Friends: It's not as hard as it used to be to befriend Dam-bi. Though, she isn't just going to willy-nilly call someone her friend. Approaching Dam-bi can still be...intimidating. Still, she is definitely a little friendlier than at the beginning, so if you feel your character can open her up and be her friend, then by all means! PLEASE be her friend.

Enemies: Dam-bi doesn't have a lot of enemies. She just has...people where she thinks they're not worth it. She used to have enemies back in the past, but she's grown out of hating humanity. I'm not really sure if there is a way to become an enemy, but if you'd like to explore this, then let's go!

Sparring Partner: Dam-bi is always looking for ways to become stronger. Whether that is through the mind or physically by sparring with people. If you are looking for a capable sparring partner, Dam-bi is your girl. She may be 12, but she's pretty strong.

Mentor: Dam-bi currently has one mentor, Sukuna. Well, tech', she has two and that's the sapling . Sukuna and the sapling both teach her different things in life and they are one of the reasons why she's changed into who she is. She is of course always looking to learn more and if there's anyone who's willing to guide her in their own way and willing to teach her new things, she'll listen.

Crush: This....isn't really something she's looking for and it's also something we'd have to really talk and plot a lot on. Dam-bi is also 12 years old so I don't think I'd be interested in her having any romantic feelings for anyone, but a crush toward someone might be cute. She's liked someone back home, but you know...Well, maybe you don't, but a lots happened so...

Overview

Buzzo avoids meaningful personal relationships like the plague, because the only one he's ever had ended horribly. Unfortunately for him, I have other plans, and he's gonna need to get out of that shell of his for them. That being said, please be warned that while he has a polite outer personality he can use with people, he's generally a total weirdo to the core. Obsessive, scheming, and mired in poorly-managed grief, with a penchant for blood and torture - it would take a particular type of person to want to actually get close to him. This means that it's likely gonna need to be a gradual process.

Enemies

This is actually harder than you might expect to achieve. You'd need to suffer some major misunderstanding or cross someone he actually cares about to gain this curse. (And keep in mind he doesn't actually have anyone he cares about at present.) And it is a curse - if sufficiently provoked, he will chase you to the ends of the world as a persistence predator, waiting for you to get tired so he can pin you down and make you make a life-or-limb decision for his own amusement. In general, his enemies are people who he perceives as having some kind of major moral failure. This can stem from a misunderstanding, for certain, but still. He doesn't just hunt people down for no reason.

Friends

It's hard to say what kind of people could end up being Buzzo's friends, really - character development could end up with him in a lot of odd friendships just by continual proximity with the same people. That being said, he doesn't seek people out, and the people who would seek him out are - well, unusual. The people who he'd appreciate most are people he can see himself in. Traits he'd look for in a friend are justice-seeking sadism toward those they believe have some kind of moral failing, revenge-seekers, those interested in the undead and occult (or who are undead/occult/monstrous), especially open-minded people, people who make him feel he can talk about his past and his worries (GOOD LUCK), and generally people who don't mind him being a total weirdo. It might help if you, too, listen to weird music - that's at least SOMETHING to talk about.

A long-overdue Rebound Partner

Waaaaay past the due date, but it might be one of the most helpful things going forward - if you can work a miracle. Let's list out some requirements and some things that would help. - You need to be friends already, and very close ones. Buzzo doesn't label his sexuality, but it's very close to being demisexual. And he can't do dating - it kind of ruins the dynamic that would actually get him to open up to someone. - You'd probably need to be attractive to him even past that. He's not necessarily fully straight but he probably prefers his partners more feminine than himself. Most girls and more feminine guys, yes - more macho men and very butch women, less likely, just due to physical preferences. -He has a mild preference for willowy frames, dark hair, and goths, but those are optional. (Being a cool monster or undead of some sort would also score some points.) - He is SO dedicated to Lisa (his dead childhood sweetheart) that it would probably take him a while and some thinking to realize he's caught feelings at all.

I'm gonna be real this "guy" is a fucking egg and could really use some trans people to surround "him"self with. Get this chick some estradiol. Let there be a new funny blue pill in those hands. Buzzo needs some joy in their life and I'm not talking about the mutagenic kind.
