Last night playing bg3 with my brother, he had Gale like, DIE die in some lava instead of spatula-ing him off the floor in a panic before he's done death saving throws, and I'd never seen what happens before, because I protect my wizard.

Have to say bg3 is not just the game of the year but maybe one of the games of all time.

#when he's on 1 hp and wailing that he CAN'T die I have now taken to heart that he means 'I am about to be so annoying about this'#which is double incentive to continue never allowing him to die #bg3 #bg3 spoilers #my brother re-rolled him as a cleric of mystra and then never uses him to heal anyone #my brother also is allergic to long rests and i'm like doubled over wheezing with all the wine I've been looting #begging him to let us rest if not for the spellslots than for my encumberance #it's amazing learning how other people play #I mean he's a much better player than me but I live in constant fear :P #I think he just doesn't like opening boxes and doing inventory management #meanwhile I a Stardew Valley player -#(He also never sorts or tidies his ffxiv inventory)#sorry these tags are just sibling posting now

I did my first grandmaster quest in osrs tonight :)

#I decided to just play some runescape to chill out with after infinite wealth but this was not very chill :P #I had exactly zero doses of my healing and restore potions and was very close to using my emergancy teleport with the boss at 50 hp left #Glad I didn't cuz those potions cost way too much to restock frequently xD #Think one full inventory of 6 super restores and 20 sara brews costs around 350k #That's a good 2-3 hours of money making for me depending what I feel like doing #I also spent about 4.5million gold on getting the better trident and a mage necklace #So my cash stack is not looking very healthy right now xD #I got all the way up to the final 3 fights a few nights ago but didn't have the money to get enough supplies #I did die to the final boss 1 time tonight and nearly lost my stuff trying to get back and fell down a pit 5 times in a row xD

Out of all of the BF softlocks out there, our personal favorite is Kabbu's Sisyphean Nightmare, in which giving a Kabbu with -2 attack HP Core and then entering The Beast's fight in Chapter 5 will force you into a scenario where it is impossible for The Beast to kill Kabbu and it is impossible for Kabbu to kill The Beast, and they are forced to fight forever over Vi and Leif's bodies until either the battery on your platform of choice burns out or you turn the game off.

#this setup DOES require no items and 0 tp to truly become unwinnable #but we're personally of the opinion that it's most fun with a setup where you can reduce the beast to exactly 1 hp #and then your supplies run out and you are forced to struggle against it forever #bug fables #bug fables spoilers #we speak #for context to achieve -2 attack you need two defense exchanges life steal and exp booster #the defense exchanges raise kabbus defense enough that he will take 2 damage max before being healed by hp core #the life steal means every attack will heal 1 damage #but even if you select Do Nothing every turn this scenario is unwinnable without even the solace of Game Over #yknow. in case you wanted to do this for fun or something #there are more boring ways to softlock the game but “picking up mushroom gummis in german softlocks you” is just shoddy coding #cool things to do on a friday night: force kabbu to fight the beast until a god has to intervene #and end everything to start from an earlier point

If he ever "heals" somebody, it wasn't him- the healing potion simply fell out of his pocket and shattered on top of the wounded.

Battle must have cut a hole in it.
