Website Design Mistakes
Marketingviadigtal
Your website is the face of your business online. It’s where potential customers get their first impression of your brand. A well-designed website can build trust and help you convert visitors into customers. On the other hand, a poorly designed site can drive them away instantly.
In this article, we’ll discuss some common website design mistakes that can harm your website’s performance and user experience. We’ll also share tips on how to avoid them, so you can create a site that truly serves your audience.
1. Slow Website Load Times
Visitors expect websites to load quickly. If your website takes too long to load, visitors will leave before even seeing your content. Slow websites not only harm user experience but can also hurt your SEO rankings.
How to Fix It:
Compress images without sacrificing quality.
Minimize the use of heavy plugins and scripts.
Use caching techniques and a content delivery network (CDN) to speed up loading times.
2. Not Mobile-Friendly
With mobile traffic surpassing desktop traffic, having a mobile-friendly website is no longer optional. If your site doesn’t display well on smartphones or tablets, you're losing out on a large number of potential customers.
How to Fix It:
Opt for responsive web design, which automatically adjusts to different screen sizes.
Test your site on various devices to ensure a smooth experience.
Make sure that clickable elements, like buttons and links, are easy to tap on mobile devices.
3. Cluttered and Overcrowded Layout
An overcrowded website with too many elements can overwhelm users. This often results in a poor user experience and makes it difficult for visitors to focus on what’s important.
How to Fix It:
Keep your layout simple and organized.
Use whitespace effectively to create a clean design.
Focus on presenting only the most essential content per page.
4. Confusing Navigation
If visitors can't easily find what they’re looking for, they’ll quickly leave your site. Confusing menus, hidden pages, and unclear navigation can frustrate users.
How to Fix It:
Use a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand menu.
Make sure navigation is consistent on every page.
Add a search bar to help users find information faster.
5. Lack of Clear Calls to Action (CTAs)
Without clear CTAs, users don’t know what action they should take next. Whether it’s signing up for a newsletter, making a purchase, or contacting you, a website should always guide the user to the next step.
How to Fix It:
Use action-oriented buttons such as “Contact Us” or “Buy Now.”
Ensure that CTAs are prominently placed and easy to find.
Make your CTAs stand out visually through color or design.
6. Low-Quality or Generic Images
Low-quality or irrelevant images can hurt your site’s professionalism. It’s essential to use high-quality visuals that reflect your brand and make a strong impression on visitors.
How to Fix It:
Use original, high-resolution images that resonate with your audience.
Avoid overusing stock photos that feel impersonal or fake.
Ensure that images are compressed properly to maintain fast loading speeds.
7. Bad Typography
Typography plays a significant role in readability and user experience. Small, hard-to-read fonts or poor font choices can frustrate visitors and make your content harder to consume.
How to Fix It:
Choose legible fonts like Arial, Helvetica, or Georgia.
Stick to 2–3 different fonts across your site for consistency.
Ensure proper font sizes and line spacing for easy reading.
8. Ignoring Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
No matter how good your website looks, it won’t be effective if people can’t find it. Many businesses overlook basic SEO principles, which can hurt your search rankings and online visibility.
How to Fix It:
Optimize your website’s content with relevant keywords.
Use descriptive meta tags (titles and descriptions) for every page.
Add alt text to all images for better indexing by search engines.
9. Not Providing Contact Information
If users can’t easily find your contact details, they may not trust your business. A lack of visible contact info can discourage potential customers from getting in touch.
How to Fix It:
Place your contact information (phone number, email, address) in a visible location.
Include a “Contact Us” page with a contact form for ease of communication.
Consider adding social media links to make your business more accessible.
10. Not Considering Accessibility
A website that isn’t accessible can exclude a significant portion of the population, including people with disabilities. It's essential to ensure that everyone can access and use your website.
How to Fix It:
Use high contrast between text and background for better readability.
Provide alternative text (alt text) for images to support screen readers.
Ensure your website is navigable by keyboard for users who cannot use a mouse.
Conclusion
Your website is an essential tool for growing your business. Avoiding these common website design mistakes can significantly improve your site's user experience, performance, and conversion rate. 7. Security and Performance Optimization
Ensure your website is secure by using SSL certificates, regular updates, and security plugins. Optimizing performance improves user retention and satisfaction.

frailty, thy name is woman! (HAH)
So the other day, I was ambushed by a group of tiny puppies.
I was in the park, breathing some fresh air and sunshine for the first time in a long, long time. I sat on a grassy hill--notebook just recently closed and resting in my lap--staring blankly at the amphitheater beneath me and suddenly, I hear barking to my right and felt something nudge my thigh.
Not gonna lie, I almost screamed and whacked the puppy in the face.
They were three beagles(?), bounding around the hill because, according to their owners who respectfully stood 6 feet away from me, they hadn't left the house in a week.
(same.)
Anyways, before they came to say hi, I was listening to a sad, acoustic playlist and writing down notes about women.
(it's not weird if u don't make it weird)
That morning, I had woken up thinking about women's issues.
Sexism is not exactly the social issue I'm most preoccupied by. It's prominent in every aspect of life, but because I've been fortunate enough to be sheltered from most of it, the sexism I experience is very subtle and difficult to pinpoint. I grew up in a primarily female household with a lot of strong personalities, and only recently did I begin to take note of the almost indiscernible power dynamic between the men and the women.
So, most of my life, I've just been kind of cruising along, with this vaguely gender-less persona that only started to shift some time in university.
A friend once asked, "How do you know that you're a woman?"
I think this was during the same time I was taking a philosophy course about theories of sexual differences, and so all my thoughts were kind of meta and hypothetical. My initial thought was, uh what do you mean like of course I know I'm a woman that's what I've checked on all the forms. But then I thought about it and I was like. Bruh.
Bruh.
The reply I gave her, I feel like, was unsatisfactory and very personal. I didn't want to fall back onto gender norms, because that was so obviously a cop-out. Furthermore, I feel like I didn't experience a lot of the stereotypical "what it means to be a woman." AND, the definition of "adult human being" was too inadequate.
So, how do I know that I'm a woman?
At the time, I gave her a pretty sloppy answer about internalized misogyny, and I'm not going to pretend I have a better answer now, but I think I've broken it down to two main points.
Number one: I know I'm a woman because I'm constantly in competition with other women. I view women as my primary competitors. Very rarely do I see masculine-presenting individuals as competition, even though technically, all of us are competing for resources, prestige, or whatever it is we seek. Sure, you can play a probability game and say it's all statistics, but I think there's an aspect of misogyny as well.
Number two, I know I'm a woman because I feel anger and indignation on behalf of other women, internalizing it as a personal offense, even when I myself have not undergone the same struggle.
It's the same criteria I think of when I ask myself how I know I'm Asian American. But, in the racial aspect, there's a third criteria, which is the reflexive self. I feel that other people see me as Asian American, and therefore, I am Asian American. For some bizarre reason, I didn't experience the same reflexive self when I thought about my gender.
I think it was this lack of a reflexive self and vaguely gender-less upbringing that pushed me to declare, very loudly, in the middle of a science classroom in highschool that, "I am not a feminist."
(I could self-psychoanalyze and come up with a million reasons why my upbringing was gender-less. It could have to do with the fact that my primary caretakers were women, so there was no other for me to reference, and thereby, no juxtaposition between women and men. It could have to do with early, internalized misogyny that caused me to push away things that identified me specifically as a "girl." It could also be that I'm incredibly not self-aware.)
(I stand by the statement that contrast is necessary for identification, though.)
Anyways.
I remember when I said those words, my best friend looked at me with exasperation and a classmate looked at me with disgust. For good reason.
At the time, the word "feminist," to me, had a lot of negative connotations. I equated it with the "feminazi." I didn't buy into sexist ideals, but neither did I understand the angry, seemingly unnecessary reversal of gender roles that "feminazis" were proclaiming.
And my friend patiently explained to me that no, you don't have to be a feminazi to be a feminist.
But see, even that in itself is anti-feminist, isn't it?
We were, again, drawing lines for what it means to be an acceptable woman--an acceptable feminist--and what it means to be an unacceptable woman.
Why is there a negative connotation to the term "feminazi"? Why is there a negative connotation to the term "feminist"? Isn't the term "feminazi" in itself misogynistic?
I think it has to do with the fact that the general culture is uncomfortable with women stepping beyond what their gender roles have prescribed them. The culture has moved in a direction where it is acceptable and almost expected for women to be feminists, but being a "feminazi" is still frowned up.
This might seem very obvious to some, but I actually haven't thought about the term "feminazi" in a long while. So, to make sure I actually knew what a "feminazi" was, I pulled up the Wikipedia article. Here are a few words used to describe a feminazi:
a committed feminist or a strong-willed woman
radical feminists
see as many abortions as possible
militants
quest for power
belief that men aren't necessary
well-intentioned but misguided people who call themselves feminists
the term came to be widely used for feminism as a whole
marginalize any feminist as a hardline, uncompromising manhater
hate men
dogmatic, inflexible, and intolerant
an extremist, power-hungry minority
I've never met anyone who fits that description, though [Limbaugh] lavishes it on me among many others
bossy, hating men and femininity
hyper-vigilant to perceived sexism
vindictive
puritanical
The term was apparently, popularized by a dude named Rush Limbaugh, and I'll be damned if I let a man determine what kind of feminist I am.
Maybe I am biased because a militant women's group seeking to overpower the patriarchy sounds pretty lit and like good material for a new Netflix show, but like.
Tell me again why it's not okay to be a feminazi.
(my primary reactions to the list above are: "i wonder why," "sounds ok to me lol," and "who the fuck are you to say")
ANYWAYS.
"Feminazis," according to Mr. Limbaugh (who even is this guy) is an unacceptable way to be a feminist.
He is a man governing what it means to be a feminist (again, who the fuck are you), but let's be real, there are many women out there who draw similar lines, maybe for others, maybe for themselves. The popular "Am I not a good feminist if I __________" questions in themselves are anti-feminist. Once again, it is a show of how women are policing themselves and each other.
I'm not big on philosophy because I can't understand most of it, but Foucault made the assertion that policing and discipline in a modern society lies with the self, or an invisible, anonymous power embedded in society.
(Ok, I'm going to be honest, I didn't want to read through 30 pages of feminist theory and I barely understood the four pages that I did read, so if I'm wrong, don't hate me.)
In other words, men and women become the gender police for themselves. Even as women gain more rights and freedom, they continue to police themselves in a new way, like asking themselves what it means to be a good feminist.
(Bartky introduces the argument that there needs to be an upheaval of social norms to end the policing.)
(And okay, so, the more I read Bartky's Foucault, Femininity, and Patriarchal Power, the more excited I get, so I'm gOiNg To StOp mYsElf hERe.)
I ask myself this question often too.
Am I not a good feminist if I express vague disapproval at someone who switches boyfriends every other day?
Am I not a good feminist if I am grateful for men opening doors for me or offering to grab my suitcase for me on the plane? (I'm 5'2 okay, I have to stand on the seat sometimes, it's embarrassing.)
See, I appreciate chivalry and I don't think chivalry is dead because what does that even mean, but I also recognize that chivalry isn't the same thing as gender equality or liberation for women (or dare I say, liberation of gender?). But, gender equality doesn't mean that women and men do all of the same things and are assumed to be able to do all of the same things. Because we, as humans, have varying abilities, don't we?
The question of what the fuck is gender equality plagued me for an entire semester and bothers me even now but I just kind of stomp on it and make it go away. The easy answer to it, for me, is a fair division of labor agreed upon by both parties, ensuring there is no abuse of power within the relationship.
But that statement in itself is problematic because it introduces a possibility of stasis, of complacency that might revert to a new abuse of power.
(It's also not one that every feminist agrees on.)
But let's return to the question of what it means to be a woman.
I wrote that contrast is necessary for identification, but I fear the statement implies that women are defined in opposition to men, which is false. Like, non-men = women. And, since gender is a spectrum, that obviously is not true. But, since gender is a spectrum, is it necessary for us to identify ourselves?
At the end of my notes, I scribbled a series of questions.
Why does it matter to me what gender people are?
Why does it matter to me what gender I am?
Is there a correlation between sexuality and gender? Especially since we are all on a spectrum for both? Are we socialized to choose? Is this or is this not evolutionarily favorable?
(I see now that the flaw in me writing blog posts is that I can't actually have a conversation about this and that's frustrating.)
(Also, I recognize that I live in an immense amount of privilege to be asking these questions and not, I don't know, fearing for my life.)
I briefly entertained the idea that women are essentially the oppressed party in the larger narrative of gender. But there are two problems with this statement. One, women are definitely not the only oppressed party. Two, everyone ultimately suffers when there is an accepted narrative.
But, the undeniable fact is that there is a common reality that people who identify as women live. It has nothing to do with anatomy, organs, chromosomes, hormone levels, brain structure, or sexuality. It is an experience that is placed upon us by the patriarchal society, regardless of whether or not we recognize it, based on how we present ourselves.
This is how the reflexive self began to develop, in Calc B, freshman year of college.
I try to talk about gender as removed from sex as possible, because I get terribly confused when I talk about them in conjunction with each other, but also because I do think there is a difference between the feminine experience and the female experience. I just don’t really understand it.
I wrote in my notes somewhere: Gender is a spectrum. You are your own individual, gender be damned.
I don't proclaim myself an expert on this matter. These are words that chased their own tails in my mind as I tried to understand how to function in an infuriating society that constantly made me angry.
The other day, I saw a Facebook post from a stranger who was talking about how their boyfriend didn't believe women were being oppressed because even though women get paid less, men pay for dates. And this led me to think about the wage disparity and how people always tell me, well, no, it doesn't exist. It's the woman's fault for not asking for a higher wage.
And I’m just kind of like, ???
A student of mine came to me one morning, a little disappointed and a little annoyed, because he had been shut down by a fellow classmate when he made a comment about the wage gap not being an actual thing.
(the thing about talking to students is that it's a lot easier to forgive ignorance and to actually have a conversation without getting angry.)
He said that he wished the classmate, a girl, wouldn't just be all angry about it and call him dumb.
I didn't know how to respond to that then, aside from agreeing that it is necessary to have actual dialogue around important issues and asking a few questions so he could critically think about gender issues in the U.S.
But, I thought about it the morning before I got ambushed by the dogs, and I wish I asked him to think about why people get so angry talking about these matters.
I think the reason why it's so difficult to have these conversations is because--
God, imagine the privilege of not having to have these conversations and not feeling angry and humiliated because you are pulling out this vulnerable bit of you that's been attacked by Society and trying to make someone who is implicitly attacking you understand.
That's not a comfortable feeling, and adults can't even manage it so how is a teenager expected to?
The same feeling rises within myself when I talk about race and when I talk about gender. Some of it is internalized racism and misogyny, but a whole lot of it is not wanting to be vulnerable, and that in itself is a little fucked up (and maybe, misogynistic?).
See, when I feel very strongly about a matter, I expect strong, rigorous, academic debate. I want to break down the logic in every sentence and refute facts and opinions with Better Facts and Opinions, complete with citations, and I don’t want to fall back on anecdotes even though I end up resorting to it anyways.
(I am also the annoying person who would do the Hamilton thing and be like i have the honor to be your obedient servant, A DOT CAI.)
But, so often, we don't have the luxury to do that. And also, very often, we are utterly consumed by the larger narrative that facts end up not meaning very much to us.
We are all part of an accepted narrative, and that, along with the social norms that come with it, is the enemy.
Men are not the enemy in feminism, which is why men need to calm the fuck down and get behind the feminist movement. Men are also suffering from this accepted narrative and gender policing that lauds toxic masculinity.
I'm not saying there's a right way to be a feminist, but I strongly believe there's a wrong way to be a feminist. I think being a feminist means you support gender equality, regardless of what gender someone identifies as. I think being a feminist means you want everyone to embrace their true selves. I think being a feminist means you stand with every individual, and so I think being a feminist should be the default for a human being.
But if a person identifies as a feminist and draws rules and regulations for how to be one, then that is anti-feminist.
(Come at me, feminist philosophers, I'm very zen and I'm willing to listen to you tell me about how society needs to see an utter deconstruction of feminism and masculinity.)
Be you, my friend. Be you and let other people be themselves. It's not like they're hurting you by being trans or gay or bi.
Like jeez, why is that so hard.
(stop hating on Irene 'cause she's a feminist, she's fucking beautiful and i will fight you.)
I don't know, I love women. They are inspiring and beautiful, and the term "woman," as much as I've broken it down, actually matters because society has forced it to matter. And weirdly enough, as difficult as it is for me to truly identify with woman at times, I like being one and I'm proud to be a feminist.
But it's also a little scary to be a woman. There are the general things a woman has to worry about, like walking around at night or traveling alone or going to a bar alone or doing anything alone to be completely honest. But there are also the other concerns, like what does a family dynamic look like with my personality and my ideals? How do I navigate a patriarchal society in terms of work and relationships? Which values do I give up to make sure I can actually go somewhere? When do I tell a friend to shut the fuck up because he’s mansplaining? How do I respond to defensiveness without getting defensive myself? How do I ensure that my daughter lives in a safer, more equitable world? How do I ensure that my son doesn't turn out to be a misogynist? Like? Help?
(sos i drank too my caffeine and now my hands are shaking)
Feminist theory, crudely put, falls into two categories (fuck i’m literally dragging things out of my ass, i don’t actually know if this is true lol), with one firmly asserting that a feminist revolution is rejecting the societal definition of femininity and the other embracing femininity.
(idk if there are only two camps, but these two perspectives definitely exist in feminist theory ok)
I definitely fall in the latter, because I can’t wrap my head around the rejection of femininity. Like, is that not misogynistic? Camosy’s Behind the Abortion Wars uses a similar argument to proclaim abortion as inherently sexist. It strips females of what has traditionally given them power, rendering them...males. Or some version of a male.
(i’m sold on camosy’s argument. don’t misunderstand, i’m definitely pro-choice, but i have thoughts.)
See, all of this is very complicated. Sometimes I see quotes about feminist theory and it’s so intellectually exhilarating that I just have to file it away and think about it on a day where I’m wired on caffeine. But even on those days, I feel like my brain falls short on trying to understand this very meta gender theory thing.
So, obviously, I don’t hope to convince you to believe in my ideal, because I don’t know what I’m talking about. But, if you have read this far, I leave you with the same thing I said a number of paragraphs back.
BE YOU AND LET OTHER PEOPLE BE THEMSELVES.
Recognize when you are causing harm, explicitly or not.
Recognize when other people are causing harm, explicitly or not, and engage them in conversation.
(these are actually goals and guidelines for me because i have no backbone and generally just fume in silence.)
(between me brainstorming this and me actually writing this, a number of different things have come to my attention)
(one of them is the erasure of non-masculine stories in history) (and yes that's obvious, but i also watched a bunch of TedEd videos about women so it's just very salient in my mind right now)
(another is the nth room south korea scandal, and i don't even know where to begin with that)
(Disclaimer: I don’t actually know what I’m talking about but I welcome counterarguments. I also realize putting a disclaimer at the end is really dumb, but I don’t want to interrupt my non-existent narrative flow. I feel like my take on gender is too simple and not nuanced enough, but honestly, I just don’t really get gender at times? So I really shouldn’t be talking about gender theory. Yet. Here we are.)
I LOVE WOMEN.
So here is a song from a woman that I recently found and fell in love with:
陳粒 - 无所求必满载而归 它让你受折磨 觉得痛 觉得渴 [life] makes you suffer, makes you hurt, makes you thirsty 觉得无路走 无处躲 makes you feel like there's nowhere to go, nowhere tohide 无所求也求不得 even if you want nothing, you can't even have that 当我昏昏欲睡 摇摇欲坠 but when i'm about to sleep, about to fall 却学会 放下错与对 是与非 i learned to put down right and wrong, yes and no 无所求必满载而归 if i want nothing, then i'll receive everything
(on a side note, i've done nothing but read a chinese, boys love light novel. i have read three chinese novels in my life, and all three were boys love. this doesn't seem right.)
(but also, my chinese literacy is basically at that of a fifth grader, if even, so i think it's fitting that i read some trash novels.)
(but this one talks about the psychology of sexuality and gender, and i'm all for genre novels spreading ideas about bEiNg YoUrSeLf.)

I am sure you have been on Social Media and seen an ad pop up for Peloton which is why I decided to write my Peloton Bike review. First and foremost let me say when my husband started eyeing this bike around January of this year I was skeptical.
The considerations
For one, he already had a bike which he wasn’t using and when I looked at the price tag of the Peloton I was shocked to say the least. Then he informed me there is a monthly $39 subscription you want to have because without it, the bike really won’t be used at full capacity.
After thinking about it and hearing my husband talk about it I agreed to getting one. It arrived in March 2018 and I suspect, to get me to buy in even more, my husband bought me cycle shoes that clip into the Peloton pedals.
We did not purchase everything Peloton such as the water bottles, dumbbells, foam roller, earphones or shoes but we do have a few hoodies and t-shirts because they are cute.
[Tweet “Read all about my #Peloton bike experience and whether you should get one. #pelotonride #femmefitalefitclub”]
Price
I started off balking at the price of a Peloton bike which is around $2,300. That is not easy for many to swallow but they do have payment plans which is a plus. That price is only for the bike. In order to enjoy the online Live and On-Demand classes you need the monthly subscription which is an additional $39.
As you can see it can add up. Again, if you can move past the sticker shock they do have payment plans which can ease the cost burden on some.
Classes
There are hundreds upon hundreds of classes available with the subscription such as cycling (of course), running, and yoga to name a few. I am extremely impressed with the amount of classes offered beyond just cycling.
Class durations vary from 5 minutes to 60 minutes and you can filter on them or also by:
class type,
instructor,
music genre or
category (hard, new, most popular, etc.)
Please note, all of the classes are not children friendly. In certain classes the instructor may use profanity or the lyrics to the songs played aren’t the clean version.
If that isn’t your cup of tea, no problem, they have classes with all genres of music from Country to 80’s Pop to R&B. Choose what you like, there’s a lot of variety so you are bound to find something you enjoy.
Community
One thing I like a lot about Peloton is the sense of community they provide on Social Media. They have a private Peloton Page group for Peloton users and each instructor runs their own private group.
People share their personal records with each other, post tons of photos and are very helpful and encouraging when questions are asked by newbies such as myself.
The Peloton app
The app is where you access all the classes unless you have the Peloton Tread. It allows you to build a profile and share the classes you completed to Social Media. You can also follow friends there.
While I like and reciprocate a follow for a follow on the Peloton app there isn’t much else there when it comes to socializing. BTW follow me at Diatta. You can’t message each other but you can see how many rides or activities they completed and the amount of rewards they’ve collected.
The Peloton ride
The Peloton rides are HIGH ENERGY even the ones for beginners or low impact. If you’re riding a live or on-demand class, you can virtually high five others who are participating in the class with you. There’s a bunch of Live and On-Demand cycle classes to choose from as far back as 6 months so pick a class and enjoy yourself.
During the rides there are a lot of features as well such as viewing your heart rate, if you wear a monitor, viewing the artist and song title playing and the leadeboard.
The leaderboard is where you can see all those who ever took the ride, where you rank and who may be riding with you at the same time you are. You can also see how their output compares to yours which, if you are competitive, can help you push beyond your comfort zone and hit a new PR.
Instructors
I can’t say enough about the Peloton instructors. I have not even come CLOSE to taking them all because there are a handful which play the music I like so I tend to take their classes over and over but from Robin Arzon to Ally Love to Alex Toussaint you really can’t go wrong.
Some of the instructors also teach multiple disciplines such as cycle, boot camp and running. I like the versatility of its instructor team. Each instructor as their own unique style but I’ve found they all keep me interested and motivated during the workout.
All positive attitudes, all smiles and very attractive people, can’t go wrong there. Many even shout you out on Social Media.
I’ll leave the Instagram names of the ones I follow below. All you have to do is click on the photo and follow them.

Quick question… What is your actual motivating factor? 💫 What I mean is, what is the root of your motivation? What is feeding your desire? Is it Soul or is it Ego? We say yes to so many things yet possibly never ask ourselves often, if ever, why? Why are we doing things that don’t always feel right or are what we need or want, or can afford just to keep up with the joneses. We say yes to dinners, coffees, meetings, trips, clothing, buying trendy items, moving, relationships, and of course exercise. If I took a poll asking you if they actually enjoy working out, would you say yes? If not, why do you workout? So, you lace up to run. 🏃🏼♀️ Why? Do you run to look better or because you actually love the feeling of running? That runners high, that accomplishment of completing a task, a claimed moment of your day that’s device-free 📲 and simply yours, a necessary mental break and “you time”, a treat for your body, a method to focus your competitive spirit, a way to spend time with friends? Is your choice to move initiated by positivity or by a feeling of negativity? When we choose to move because we hate our bodies we run the risk of disappointment in achieving a goal that is never good enough in our heads, never mind the fact that the entire time you spend getting to said point you’ve carried along a negative motivating factor with you into a positive space! How will you create love ❤️ where you bring hate? Both are green, just depends which grass gets watered. Let today be the day we change our approach to the things we do. Approach work, friendships, partnerships, and your personal relationship with yourself with love and see how fast you mind and world starts to change. When we do things that feed our soul instead of our ego the end is no longer in sight. The sacred relationship with yourself will begin to improve, fast…. be sweet to yourself, and don’t be afraid to find your truth. Dig deep and look for the reason you actually are doing the things you do. ______________________ #createthelove #truth #rksolid #motivation #tuesday #train #trainpeloton #traintuesday #transformationtuesday #transformation #abs #run #running #workout #ego #soul

I feel that I’ve become more empathetic/understanding in my years spent in NYC. The truth is… the struggle is real… I don’t know anybody who hasn’t fallen flat on their face at least once here. I’m speaking from experience: when you fall flat on your face here, you don’t just fall, you get trampled over 10 times, kicked in the ribs, and then splashed with 20 buckets of icewater. “WAKE UP” she tells you! It takes a resilient, strong human being to peel themselves back up off the ground after, and find that hustle again. It takes a champion… My city is full of champions. BLESS you NEW YORK CITY. #newyork #hustle #champions

When I started
When I first started on the Peloton bike I had trouble clipping in. I struggled. Hubby tried to coach me and I was trying my best but could not clip those shoes in to save my life.
He sort of had to half wear my shoe and clip them in for me and then I put them on while clipped in to the pedal. I know I know but I’m much better now.
I also struggled clipping out. A few times I just left the shoes clipped in and went on with my day because my legs were too tired to try and/or I was catching cramps. OUCH!
After the first 4 rides, 4 days in a row my butt stayed sore even though my husband had a cushion on the seat. It’s just the nature of the beast. It gets better as I no longer get sore since I’m riding my regularly now and I’m 24 rides in (woohoo) but my butt can get numb if I sit too long.
I remedy the problem by standing when that happens.
What kept me interested – FRIENDS
Once I found some of my friends actually owned Peloton, and we started following each other, we would schedule when we would take the same classes either live (which start early in the morning East Coast time) or on-demand (which are available all day long).
That made it very fun for me because we could see each other’s results and it felt like we were together even though we were states away.
They do have a neat feature where you can click on the person’s profile during the ride and click Live Video and actually see the other person riding LIVE. I did that once with a friend who lives in North Carolina and it was very cool.
It was during a live class. I thought that was very cool.
The other classes I’ve taken
Besides cycling, I’ve also taken the strength training and tread classes which are very good. The strength training tends to last about 10 minutes (at least those are the ones I chose) but they have longer classes. I just never had time to do more or go longer.
The tread classes
The tread classes are excellent and what got me back interested in Peloton to begin with. I typically run on my own treadmill and mirror the class from my iPhone 7 to my Apple TV flat screen so I have the big screen and speaker experience.
Feels like I’m actually in the studio with them.
We do hills, sprint drills, combinations and all sorts of things which really keeps the heart rate up and the fat burning which is what I like. They even have walking classes for those who need a recovery day or can’t handle all of the pounding from running.
I’ve tried a few of those and believe it or not, those are very challenging too. As you can imagine they crank up the incline.
So far there hasn’t been 1 instructor or 1 class I didn’t enjoy. I’ve gotten up and worked out completely tired and not feeling it but once I hear that peppy voice and motivating quotes and words…it’s on. I fix my attitude and get into it.
What could be better
I honestly can say there aren’t any suggestions or recommendations I have for Peloton at this time to improve upon. Granted I was having issue connecting my heart rate monitor but found out it was my error not theirs.
It’s a very innovative company and I look forward to some new products and services they come out with.
My rating
As if you could not tell, I give Peloton 10 out of 10 stars. There are programs for every fitness level which I love, there are various types of programs by music genre and duration which offers up options for people who have the time or have limited time.
They’ve thought of everything. The instructors are positive, attractive and motivating. They also shout out people riding in the studio or at home during the live rides which I find extremely thoughtful.
I can’t thank my husband enough for having the vision and thought to purchase this awesome package of equipment and classes which has taken our at-home workout game to the next level.
I enjoy it very much, plan to ride more days on than off and highly recommend you research and consider getting one for yourself.
Perhaps we can ride virtually together in a live or on-demand class and push each other further. To quote several of the instructors “You ain’t hustlin’ if you ain’t strugglin’”. Let’s GO!
Are you interested in purchasing a Peloton?
Leave any questions you have that I haven’t answered in comments below.
My Peloton Bike Experience and Review I am sure you have been on Social Media and seen an ad pop up for Peloton which is why I decided to write my Peloton Bike review.

10 Smart Google SEO Tips for 2021
Hi there, This article is based on the work day that I have been doing on my clients' websites, so I have decided to make a small summary of tips that can significantly boost the ranking of your website. 1. Ensure Your Content Is Created Around a Primary Keyword and Relevant Secondary Keywords Researching keywords for your content not only helps to develop the framework of your piece; it also enables you to understand what your audience wants to read. Understanding what keywords are best for your target audience and content type can help you build a content strategy to boost SEO. Google-friendly writing is dependent on demonstrating a balance between keywords and everyday language. This means that your content should be written in such a way that it flows naturally. Keywords should naturally come up in your content so that you don’t have to stuff your content at the last minute. One way to do this is by identifying semantically related keywords to your primary keyword target. Our Keyword Magic Tool has an option where you can look up related keywords to your primary keyword. You’ll see how closely related a keyword is and its search volume to help you identify whether it is something you’ll want to add to your content. 2. Diversify Your Backlink Portfolio Even if you follow all of the tips related to on-page technical SEO, it still won’t guarantee to make the front page of Google. A big part of SEO deals with backlinks and whether you’re generating backlinks from high-authority sites. Backlink diversity come can come from two sources, specifically: The type of backlink: Generally, your backlink will be a dofollow or nofollow, with a dofollow carrying more weight. A site where the backlink originates: If you’re promoting your content, for instance, and targeting publishers to run a story, the site that links back to your content would be the source of your backlink. A diverse backlink portfolio signals to Google that your site is an authoritative source and that you’re generating links in a natural way versus relying on outdated black hat or other spam tactics. Need help finding the right backlinks? The Backlinks Analytics Tool can identify your referring domains and total backlinks. We offer the ability to compare up to four competing URLs to get a sense of where there might be an opportunity. 3. Use Effective Header Tags to Target Google Featured Snippets When developing content, you want to be mindful of how you structure your content on the page. Every page should have content organized logically, with the most important information at the top of the page. In fact, studies have found that 80% of readers spend most of their time looking at the content at the top of the page. However, Google doesn’t necessarily index context solely on what’s at the top of the page. They look at the article as a whole to see whether it’s comprehensive, so with that in mind, you’ll need to put some thought into how your page is laid out. To get the most out of the keywords you’re targeting, consider adding jump links to the top of your page. This not only makes for a more enjoyable user experience, but it also allows you to use your header tags in more creative ways to go after Google 4. Use Clean URLs and Meta Descriptions Your URL and meta description are key factors in helping Google understand what your content is about. Although there is no hard and fast rule about the length of either of these to improve your rankings, the goal should be to make them both as concise and clear as possible while including your target keywords. Below are some best practices for keeping your URL and meta description as clean as possible: Use a consistent structure that keeps future posts in mind: Whether you’re organizing specific content to one area of your site or creating similar content down the road, you’ll want to keep your URL and meta description structure somewhat similar for related content. Avoid superfluous language: For both, avoid fluffy language. Each should be short and to the point. Make them keyword-rich: Again, be sure that your URL and meta description include the keyword or keywords you’re targeting. 5. Decrease Load Times on Top-Performing Pages Slow loading times are one of the primary causes of high bounce rates. According to Google, “speed equals revenue,” which essentially means that slow loading times increase the odds that your site visitors are going to leave your website page. For this reason, your SEO ranking is dependent on the speed of your website. An auditing tool can be a valuable resource to gain an understanding of your website’s speed. With a page speed auditing tool, you can learn about what might be slowing your website down and how you can better address that. It can also scan for common SEO mistakes so that you can improve your website content for an SEO boost. 6. Numbers in titles Along with meta descriptions, titles. Just shared a study recently showing that dates added to titles increased rankings for a particular brand. Numbers are generally one thing that I always test in title tags that usually produce pretty consistent results. Specifically, dates in title tags are often a winner, January 2021. Don't be spammy about it. Don't include it if it doesn't make sense and don't fake it. But if you can include a number, it will often increase your click-through rate for any given query. 7. Increase internal linking Number eight: increasing internal linking. Now a lot of top SEO agencies, when they need to quickly increase rankings for clients, there are generally two things that they know are the easiest levers to pull. First, title tags and meta descriptions, what's getting more clicks, but second is increasing the internal linking. You know that you can increase internal links on your site, and there are probably some opportunities there that you just haven't explored. So let's talk about a couple easy ways to do that without having too much work. 8. Update old content with new links Number nine is updating your old content with new links. This is a step that we see people skip time and time again. When you publish a new blog post, publish a new piece of content, make sure you're going back and updating your old content with those new links. So you're looking at the top keyword that you want to rank for, and going in Google Search Console or checking tools like Keyword Explorer to see what other pages on your site rank for that keyword, and then adding links to the new content to those pages. I find when I do this, time and time again, it lowers the bounce rate. So you're not only updating your old page with fresh content and fresh links and adding relevance. You're adding links to your new content. So make sure, when you publish new content, you're updating your old content with those new links. 9. Invest in long-form content Number 12: need you to invest in long-form content. Now I am not saying that content length is a ranking factor. It is not. Short-form content can rank perfectly well. The reason I want you to invest in long-form content is because consistently, time and time again, when we study this, long-form content earns more links and shares. It also generally tends to rank higher in Google search results. Nothing against short-form content. Love short-form content. But long-form content generally gives you more bang for your buck in terms of SEO ranking potential. 10. Use more headers Break up your content with good, keyword-rich header tags. Why? Well, we have research from A.J. Ghergich that shows that the more header tags you have, generally you rank for more featured snippets. Sites with 12-13, which seems like a lot of header tags, rank for the most featured snippets of anything that they looked at in their most recent study. So make sure you're breaking up your content with header tags. It adds a little contextual relevance. It's a great way to add some ranking potential to your content. submitted by /u/MarceloDesignX [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/lhto69/10_smart_google_seo_tips_for_2021/

Some On Page and Off Page tactics that helped me scale an affiliate site to 300K session a year in the first year, and to 500K in 16 months https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/d5xg7k/some_on_page_and_off_page_tactics_that_helped_me/
title edit: 300K sessions a month in the first year
Quite a few people have asked me this question in my AMAs; I started my SEO career in an affiliate firm and I was fortunate enough to get to start a website from scratch while helping scale up the existing websites that we had.
That being said, there are quite a few things that we kept in mind while scaling up the website to this traffic. I hope that you guys find it helpful enough
On-Page Details
Start large with at least 50 pages on the site, and then every month, add 30 pages, while revising the content of at least the top 20 pages per month.
Make sure that the content is attractive and interesting to read
❏ Use “we” when talking about your company; Never use first person (“I”) and third person (“They”)
❏ Cut out any “FLUFF” in the content, use clear, direct and objective text with minimal promotional text
❏ Ensure “Instant Gratification” (readers get the information they came for fast)
❏ The content is unique, fresh and up-to-date (no general Wikipedia style)
❏ Check for grammar, punctuation and spelling errors (Use oxford commas and punctuation rules)
❏ Long sentences are to be avoided
Take care of all the Meta Elements
Meta Title
❏ Does the title contain all the obligatory elements?
❏ Is the length of the title correct (<65 characters)? Is it completely visible in the SERPs? If it is too long, is this because we created a title that is too long or because Google testing something?
❏ Do we stick out enough from to the competitors?
❏ Do we make use of certain UTF8 characters? (“special” characters)
Meta description
❏ Does the meta description contain all the obligatory elements?
❏ Is the length of the meta description correct? (is it completely visible on Google search, i.e., <155 characters)
❏ Is Google displaying the meta description we wrote or did they take text from the page?
❏ Do we stick out enough from the competitors?
❏ Do we make use of certain UTF8 characters? (“special” characters)
H1s/H2s
❏ Are the titles written correctly and without spelling errors?
❏ Are the correct KWs covered? (primary, secondary KWs)
❏ Is a time element used and put correctly?
Keywords
❏ Are the keywords covered on the vouchers and in the text elements?
❏ Is the keyword coverage spread equally? For example: is the primary KW used more often than the secondary KWs?
❏ Did we integrate any longtail KWs?
❏ Do the KWs serve the search intent?
❏ Are the keywords integrated in a natural way?
❏ Are the KWs used correctly in the H1, first H2 (only on WLs), title, meta description, text elements, etc.?
❏ Do we avoid overusing KWs?
❏ Do we avoid optimizing for generic KWs?
Static content
❏ Is the text easy to read and informative? Is this what a user might be looking for?
❏ Do we have all the important or interesting information covered? Do we miss anything? Any idea what we could write about that serves the search intent?
❏ Are grammar and spelling appropriate?
❏ Is the text structured in a good way? Is the most valuable info at the top?
❏ Did we add any images, lists, graphs, etc to make the text easier to read (and to have the possibility to enter into a featured snippet)?
❏ Did we create KW diversity?
❏ Can we learn something from our competitors? Do they cover a topic/ a piece of information that we do not have but should have?
Other On-Page Elements to inspect
❏ Make sure the URLs are as small as possible and contain the target keyword of the page
❏ Use multimedia (images, infographics, and videos) in your pages
❏ Make sure the content is long-form in nature (close to 2000 words)
❏ Use as many LSI (longtail) keywords as possible, and try to use them for H3 headings in your post in the form of a What, Who, How to question to try and get the coveted spot zero or Search Snippet by Google
❏ Pay attention to the Page Stay Duration and Bounce Rate of your pages
❏ Make sure internal and external linking is present in your pages, and internal hierarchy is maintained
❏ If you want a page to rank, make sure it is clickable at least twice on your home page, in order for the link juice to flow from your home page to the desired page
❏ Make sure that you pay close attention to the CTR rate for your pages and keywords through Google Search Console/Webmaster tool. If it is not as good corresponding to your rank, you need to change your meta title
❏ Make sure that the website load time is not more than 5 seconds, and is as fast as possible for Mobile as well. Nearly 60% of the traffic, depending on the country would come from mobile, and having a slow website is going to hamper that
Backlink Acquisition Strategy
❏ Start slow. Google won’t be able to digest seeing 15-20 backlinks a month from the very first month. But focus on only acquiring backlinks from high traffic sites in your niche, and nothing else
❏ In the first couple of months, having close to 10 backlinks is more than enough. You can scale it later on, but the initial few backlinks have to be impactful enough to get that initial traction to be absolutely perfect
❏ Ramp us your backlink building to 2 backlinks a week after the first quarter. Work on a content piece, but your Outreach list should be perfect
❏ Spend 10-15% time for link building on content creation and 85-90% on Outreach. Offer the largest possible site exclusive rights to the article, because small websites tend to copy content from larger websites, and hence if you get a link on the larger website, you may acquire some links naturally
❏ Make sure that you claim a backlink not on a keyword but as a brand name on the basis of the source information provider. You can offer the information to the individual in your pitch, and only ask for Information Credit, which is a much better tactic
❏ Look to build relationships by asking the Webmasters for their Content Calendar and then create content for them
If there are any doubt regarding this or anything else about backlinks, feel free to ask. Stuck in an airport for the next 6-7 hours at least, so I have time to kill.

Progressive Web App is the new and trending way to bring a native app feeling into a normal or traditional web app. Progressive Web Apps are very much in use by some of the biggest companies like Twitter, Forbes, Alibaba, Instagram, Flipkart e.t.c and have gained popularity.
So in this tutorial, we’ll be turning our already existing website into a Progressive Web App. Let’s Get Started :)
Intro
I’m sure by now you must have heard or read about Progressive Web Applications and if you haven’t here is it.
A progressive web application (PWA) is a type of application software delivered through the web, built using common web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It is intended to work on any platform that uses a standards-compliant browser. Functionality includes working offline, push notifications, and device hardware access, enabling creating user experiences similar to native applications on desktop and mobile devices.
Progressive Web Apps are largely characterized by the following:
Reliable — They load instantly and never show the “No Internet Connection” page, even in uncertain network conditions with help from Service workers caching.
Fast — They respond quickly to user interactions with smooth animations.
Engaging — They feel like a natural app on the device, with immersive user experience.
Requirements for this tutorial
Basic web design skills (HTML, CSS & JS)
You need to be running on HTTPS
A working website you wish to tun to PWA.
Like I said, building a Progressive Web App is quite simple and easy if you understand the whole concept and how it actually works.
What Makes up a PWA
Web Manifest
Service Worker
Your static website
Let’s Start
For the sake of this tutorial, we’ll be turning a simple random quote web app to a PWA. All the files are hosted here on Github and the demo is available Here
So for the sake of making sure things go right, we’ll rebuild the simple random quote web app using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
That's how the final project will look like.
So let’s build the UI.
Make a new directory and create these files
index.html
css/style.css
js/app.js
Let's Build the Markup.
Add the below codes in the index.html
<!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="ie=edge"> <title>The Igala Facts you never knew</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.5.0/css/font-awesome.min.css"> <link href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab:400,700' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.min.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/animate.css/3.2.3/animate.min.css"> </head> <body> <div class="container"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-sm-6"> <h1><span class="main-color">Random Igala</span><br />Facts</h1> <p>The best facts about Igala in one place. You can easily see the best facts and share the ones you love on twitter with one click.</p> </div> <div class="col-sm-6"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-xs-6"> <a id="next-quote" class="btn btn-lg btn-default btn-block" href="#"><i class="fa fa-refresh"></i> Next Fact</a> </div> <div class="col-xs-6"> <a id="share" class="btn btn-lg btn-default btn-block" href="#" target="_top"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i> Share</a> </div> </div> <div id="quote-box"> <i id="quote-left" class="fa fa-quote-left"></i> <p id="quote"></p> <span id="author" class="main-color"></span> <i id="quote-right" class="fa fa-quote-right"></i> </div> <div class="row"> <div class="col-xs-12"> <ul> <li>Follow Us</li> <li><a class="main-color" href="https://facebook.com/theigaladigital" target="_blank">@theigaladigital</a></li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div id="hidden"></div> <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.3/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="js/app.js"></script> </body> </html>
Like I said earlier, this tutorial is mainly teaching you how to convert your already existing website into a Progressive Web App so I won’t be going in detail on the HTML or rest.
— Add this in css/app.css
body { background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: white; padding-top: 50px; font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Roboto Slab', serif; } h1 { font-size: 4em; line-height: 70px; margin-bottom: 40px; font-weight: bold; } a:hover, a:focus, a:active { text-decoration: none; color: white; transition: color 0.8s; } .main-color { color: yellow; text-shadow: 1px 1px 0 rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.2); font-weight: bold; } #quote-box { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.3); border-radius: 10px; padding: 100px 40px; position: relative; margin-top: 20px; } #quote-left, #quote-right { color: yellow; font-size: 3em; position: absolute; } #quote-left { top: 20px; left: 20px; } #quote-right { bottom: 20px; right: 20px; } #quote { font-size: 1.5em; text-align: center; } #author { position: absolute; font-size: 1.1em; left: 50px; bottom: 30px; } .btn { border-radius: 10px; color: yellow; border: 1px solid white !important; transition: background 0.8s, color 0.8s; line-height: 30px; margin-top: 30px; } .btn:hover, .btn:active, .btn:focus { color: white !important; background-color: yellow !important; box-shadow: none; } ul { list-style-type: none; padding: 0; margin: 10px 0 0 0; float: right; white-space: nowrap; overflow: hidden; } li { display: inline-block; margin: 0 0 0 1px; } #hidden { display: none; }
Now your app should look like this:
If you look up closely, you will discover no quote shows, so we’ll have to add JavaScript functionality that handles that.
— Add this in js/app.js
$(document).ready(function () { $("#next-quote").on("click", function (e) { e.preventDefault(); var randomQuoteNumber = getRandomQuoteNumber(); updateQuote(randomQuoteNumber); }); var q = location.search.split("?q=")[1]; if (q >= 0 && q < quotes.length) { updateQuote(q); } else { $("#next-quote").click(); } }); function updateQuote(quoteNumber) { var randomQuote = quotes[quoteNumber]; $("#quote").html(randomQuote.quote); $("#author").html(randomQuote.author); $("#quote-box").removeClass().addClass("animated bounceIn").one('webkitAnimationEnd mozAnimationEnd MSAnimationEnd oanimationend animationend', function() { $(this).removeClass(); }); $("#share").attr("href", "https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=\"" + encodeURIComponent($("#hidden").html(randomQuote.quote).text()) + "\" https://igalafacts.igaladigital.org?q=" + quoteNumber); } function getRandomQuoteNumber() { return Math.floor(Math.random() * quotes.length); } var quotes = [{"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did You Know That Ojaina is the place where the Attah's of Igala are burried?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did You Know That the first aircraft that visited the Igala Kingdom landed at Idah in 1955?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did You Know That Attah Ameh Oboni, had seen to the completion of an aerodrome in 1954 at Idah?"}, {"author": "Ilemona", "quote": "Did you know that the Igala alphabet was adopted from the English alphabet. The latter has five (5) vowels: “a,” “e,” “i,” “o,” “u.”?"}, {"author": "Achimugu Ilemona", "quote": "Did you know the Igala alphabet is made up of thirty-one (31) letters: some vowels, others consonants?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did You Know That Ojaina is a restricted place only allowed for members from the Attah Ruling House?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that Ata Ameh Oboni speak fluently in Igala, Ebira & Hausa?"}, {"author": "Onuche Joseph", "quote": "Did you know that the Ígálá language has seven (7) vowels: “a,” “e,” “ẹ,” “i,” “o,” “ọ,” “u” (encompassing both all the 5 English vowels and two indigenous ones, ‘ẹ’ and ‘ọ’).?"}, {"author": "Naomi", "quote": "Did You Know That Idah is also called Idah Alu Ogo Oja Abutu Eje?"}, {"author": "Inikpi", "quote": "Did you know that Abutu- Eje was the first Igala Ruler?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that you may likely come home to meet one of your family member dead if you kill an animal at Ojaina?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that ata Ameh Oboni took his own life on the night of June 26, 1956?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that the mighty Ata Ameh Oboni died at the age of 51?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that attah Ameh Oboni schooled in Okene(Ebira Land) between 1934 and 1939? Learned in Hausa Literature"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that ata Ameh Oboni started off as a market stall tax collector for Idah and Ejule market?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that Ata Obaje Ocheje moved Ameh Oboni from being a market stall tax collector to be come a cheif as onu ugwolawo due to his hard work?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that Ameh Oboni was moved to ankpa from ugwolawo as the judge, commonly known as *Wakali, to be in charge of seven districts?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that Patrick A. Okpanachi, Mallam Garba and Peter Achimugwu were the first in Igala Land that speaks and write in English Language?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did you know that Peter Achimugwu was the man that led the campaign to remove Ameh Oboni as the Attah?"} ]
This is just basic JavaScript, if you have no idea what all this means, you should get JavaScript Teacher’s Grammar JavaScript book. This will teach you all the basics and contents of Modern JavaScript. Get a free copy here
Now you should have a functioning app with the facts showing.
Let’s Turn it to a PWA
The three basic criteria for a PWA:
Web Manifest
The web app manifest is a JSON file that tells the browser about your Progressive Web App and how it should behave when installed on the user’s desktop or mobile device. A typical manifest file includes the app name, the icons the app should use, and the URL that should be opened when the app is launched.
Service Worker A service worker is a script that allows your browser to run in the background, separate from a web page, opening the door to features that don’t need a web page or user interaction. Today, they already include features like push notifications and background sync.
Icons These icons control your application and are provided in different sizes for different devices. Your PWA app will not work without them.
Now let’s get started.
Before we proceed, ensure you’re using a live server Use (Web server for Chrome, or VSCode Live Server
Create the following files:
sw.js (In root directory)
manifest.json (In root directory)
img/icons (Where we’d store our icons
First, we need to check if the browser supports service workers and register a new one.
In js/app.js add
if ('serviceWorker' in navigator) { window.addEventListener('load', () => { navigator.serviceWorker.register('../sw.js').then( () => { console.log('Service Worker Registered') }) }) }
Your final app.js should look like this
$(document).ready(function () { $("#next-quote").on("click", function (e) { e.preventDefault(); var randomQuoteNumber = getRandomQuoteNumber(); updateQuote(randomQuoteNumber); }); var q = location.search.split("?q=")[1]; if (q >= 0 && q < quotes.length) { updateQuote(q); } else { $("#next-quote").click(); } }); function updateQuote(quoteNumber) { var randomQuote = quotes[quoteNumber]; $("#quote").html(randomQuote.quote); $("#author").html(randomQuote.author); $("#quote-box").removeClass().addClass("animated bounceIn").one('webkitAnimationEnd mozAnimationEnd MSAnimationEnd oanimationend animationend', function() { $(this).removeClass(); }); $("#share").attr("href", "https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=\"" + encodeURIComponent($("#hidden").html(randomQuote.quote).text()) + "\" https://igalafacts.igaladigital.org?q=" + quoteNumber); } function getRandomQuoteNumber() { return Math.floor(Math.random() * quotes.length); } var quotes = [{"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did You Know That Ojaina is the place where the Attah's of Igala are burried?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did You Know That the first aircraft that visited the Igala Kingdom landed at Idah in 1955?"}, {"author": "IgalaDigital", "quote": "Did You Know That Attah Ameh Oboni, had seen to the completion of an aerodrome in 1954 at Idah?"}, {"author": "Ilemona", "quote": "Did you know that the Igala alphabet was adopted from the English alphabet. We’re going to use the Workbox library to power our service worker
Workbox is a set of libraries and Node modules developed by Google that make it easy to cache assets and take full advantage of features used to build Progressive Web Apps.
The idea of our service worker is to cache all files (Fonts, JavaScript, CSS, Images, e.t.c) so we can access them offline after the page loads.
The important thing to understand about the Service Worker is that you are in control of the network. You get to decide what is cached, how it is cached, and how it should be returned to the user.
— In sw.js add this:
importScripts('https://storage.googleapis.com/workbox-cdn/releases/4.3.1/workbox-sw.js'); if (workbox) { console.log("Yay! Workbox is loaded !"); workbox.precaching.precacheAndRoute([]); /* cache images in the e.g others folder; edit to other folders you got and config in the sw-config.js file */ workbox.routing.registerRoute( /(.*)others(.*)\.(?:png|gif|jpg)/, new workbox.strategies.CacheFirst({ cacheName: "images", plugins: [ new workbox.expiration.Plugin({ maxEntries: 50, maxAgeSeconds: 30 * 24 * 60 * 60, // 30 Days }) ] }) ); /* Make your JS and CSS ⚡ fast by returning the assets from the cache, while making sure they are updated in the background for the next use. */ workbox.routing.registerRoute( // cache js, css, scc files /.*\.(?:css|js|scss|)/, // use cache but update in the background ASAP new workbox.strategies.StaleWhileRevalidate({ // use a custom cache name cacheName: "assets", }) ); // cache google fonts workbox.routing.registerRoute( new RegExp("https://fonts.(?:googleapis|gstatic).com/(.*)"), new workbox.strategies.CacheFirst({ cacheName: "google-fonts", plugins: [ new workbox.cacheableResponse.Plugin({ statuses: [0, 200], }), ], }) ); // add offline analytics workbox.googleAnalytics.initialize(); /* Install a new service worker and have it update and control a web page as soon as possible */ workbox.core.skipWaiting(); workbox.core.clientsClaim(); } else { console.log("Oops! Workbox didn't load 👺"); }
Now our service worker works and would cache files once the page loads.
Now let’s make our app installable.
— Add this in manifest.json
{ "name": "Igala Facts", "short_name": "Igala Facts", "icons": [ { "src": "img/icons/icon-72x72.png", "sizes": "72x72", "type": "image/png" }, { "src": "img/icons/icon-96x96.png", "sizes": "96x96", "type": "image/png" }, { "src": "img/icons/icon-128x128.png", "sizes": "128x128", "type": "image/png" }, { "src": "img/icons/icon-144x144.png", "sizes": "144x144", "type": "image/png" }, { "src": "img/icons/icon-152x152.png", "sizes": "152x152", "type": "image/png" }, { "src": "img/icons/icon-192x192.png", "sizes": "192x192", "type": "image/png" }, { "src": "img/icons/icon-384x384.png", "sizes": "384x384", "type": "image/png" }, { "src": "img/icons/icon-512x512.png", "sizes": "512x512", "type": "image/png" } ], "start_url": "/index.html", "display": "standalone", "background_color": "#000", "theme_color": "#ffff00" }
Your PWA Icons sizes should be in px and in the following sizes: 72x72 , 96x96 , 128x128 , 144x144 , 152x152 , 192x192 , 384x384 , 512x512 You can use the Web Manifest Generator to generate your manifest.json

Now we need to connect our web app to the manifest to allow “add to home screen” from that page. Add this to your index.html
<link rel="manifest" href="/manifest.json" /> <meta name="theme-color" content="#333" />
If you have multiple pages, you need to add this to all of them. You can also use the same theme-color you used in manifest.json here
Now your final index.html should look like this
<!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="ie=edge"> <title>The Igala Facts you never knew</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.5.0/css/font-awesome.min.css"> <link href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab:400,700' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.min.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/animate.css/3.2.3/animate.min.css"> <link rel="manifest" href="manifest.json" /> <meta name="theme-color" content="yellow" /> </head> <body> <div class="container"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-sm-6"> <h1><span class="main-color">Random Igala</span><br />Facts</h1> <p>The best facts about Igala in one place. You can easily see the best facts and share the ones you love on twitter with one click.</p> </div> <div class="col-sm-6"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-xs-6"> <a id="next-quote" class="btn btn-lg btn-default btn-block" href="#"><i class="fa fa-refresh"></i> Next Fact</a> </div> <div class="col-xs-6"> <a id="share" class="btn btn-lg btn-default btn-block" href="#" target="_top"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i> Share</a> </div> </div> <div id="quote-box"> <i id="quote-left" class="fa fa-quote-left"></i> <p id="quote"></p> <span id="author" class="main-color"></span> <i id="quote-right" class="fa fa-quote-right"></i> </div> <div class="row"> <div class="col-xs-12"> <ul> <li>Follow Us</li> <li><a class="main-color" href="https://facebook.com/theigaladigital" target="_blank">@theigaladigital</a></li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div id="hidden"></div> <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.3/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="js/app.js"></script> </body> </html>
Congratulations, you’ve successfully turned your website to a Progressive Web App.
Conclusion
Throughout this article, we have seen how simple and fast it is to build a PWA by adding a manifest file and a service worker, it increases a lot the user experience of our traditional web app. Because PWAs are fast, secure, reliable and the most important, they support offline mode.
Many frameworks out there comes now with a service worker file already set-up for us, however, knowing how to implement it with Vanilla JavaScript can help you understand PWAs.
P.S: If you ran into issues or problem, it’s probably a problem with HTTPS. PWA doesn’t work on HTTP, so make sure you’re running this with either http-server or live-server if you’re working from your local machine

1. Fixing Crawlability & Indexability Issues
Making sure that your website can be discovered and indexed by search engines is your main concern when it comes to SEO.
They say that “The best place to hide a dead body is on the 2nd page of Google”. That implies that something has been killed. Well, in this case, a website not being on Google at all basically implies that it never even existed. At least from and SEO point of view.
Fixing crawlability and indexation issues might be either really easy or really hard.
For the easy part, all you have to do is make sure you don’t block any important pages from being indexed through your robots.txt file or through any meta tags.
You can access your robots.txt file by visiting yoursite.com/robotxs.txt. If you don’t have a robots.txt file, you should have one. In the following example you can see that the file blocks access for WordPress’s admin URLs, but gives access to admin-ajax.php.
If you don’t want to block any URLs from being indexed, your file should contain the following:
User-agent: * Allow: /
You also want to make sure your pages can be found by search engines. The easiest way to do it is to submit a Sitemap. However, there’s a natural way through which pages get indexed: through links.
To discover websites and pages on the internet, search engines use software called crawlers. These crawlers access sites from one link to another to discover new pages. So make sure that when you post a new page, it’s somehow accessible from your homepage, either through the top menu, footer or through another article, at least.
For the hard part, your site might have different issues that prevent indexability, from server and PHP errors to duplicate content, bad hreflang implementation or automatic page generation. These can lead to big expenses in your crawl budget risking leaving important pages uncrawled (the search engine sometimes limits the number of pages it crawls on a site, so if unimportant pages get crawled first, there’s no room left for important ones).
Also, you might block individual pages using meta tags. These can be set from Plugins such as Yoast SEO. To find these, you have to visit a page and hit CTRL + U to see the source, then search for “noindex” without the brackets.
If you find something like this, it means your page won’t be cralwed and indexed:
<meta name="robots" content="noindex">
It’s hard to check manually, because you have to go through each page, so a tool like CognitiveSEO’s Site Audit will be helpful. It will also help you with any other crawlability and indexability issues, such as duplicate content and bad hreflang implementation.
To put it more simply, you need to make sure that all your important pages get indexed by search engines. You can also do a search for “site:yoursite.com” in Google to see how many pages were indexed by the search engine.
If you see a big discrepancy between the number of indexed results and the number of pages you think your site has, you probably have some sort of issue which is worth digging into.
2. Set Up Traffic Monitoring Tools & Analyze Your Data
Monitoring your site’s traffic and performance is one of the most important things when it comes to SEO.
By looking at this data you can figure what type of content works in your niche and what type of content doesn’t. You can find out things such as what articles provide the most traffic, which pages convert better and what visitors actually do when browsing your site.
Although fancier tools, like Hotjar, are helpful for understanding how users interact with your site in terms of UX, much simpler tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console will do.
If you don’t have monitoring tools installed, install some ASAP. If you already have them installed but never visit them or analyze the data, start doing it.
The findings might surprise you!
3. Optimize Your Titles, Headings, Content & Meta (Add Relevant Keywords)
This is one of the mistakes I see very many people do! I’ve had SEO clients telling me they’ve worked with other specialists before only to see they’ve built hundreds of links without even optimizing the titles… and by that I literally mean not having the keywords in the titles tags!
The basics are very important! Do your keyword research and optimize your titles, headings, content and metas!
While creating a keyword rich title which is optimized for multiple phrases and also catchy to the eye might not be easy, make sure that you at least have the most important keywords in there!
If you’ve done Adwords before, you know that having the Keyword in the title towards the beginning is recommended. Why? Because that way people click more on them.
If you want to attack multiple keywords with a single page, you’ll have to optimize the title for multiple keywords and also take advantage of headings, bold text and content.
An easy way of increasing your chances is using the CognitiveSEO Keyword Tool to optimize your content for multiple keywords. Start with the most important and then add keywords in the order of importance.
The meta description is also very important because it affects you CTR in the search engines. Make sure you also have important keywords there, because Google shows them in bold text and it makes your result stand out. Add a call to action as well, something like “Visit our website for details!”.
4. Claim Google My Business
If you’re a local business, having your listing secured is a must!
Not to say that creating a Google MyBusiness page is really easy. All you have to do is go to https://www.google.com/business/ and create an account. Then, follow the steps they show you.
It’s a great way of ranking your business multiple times on Google.
5. Target Less Competitive Keywords
Targeting the most competitive keywords is a good idea. Or at least that’s what market leaders such as Brian Dean suggest. Brian tried many things during his career as an SEO and learned through failure. Now he truly is an expert and an innovator in the field. He usually talks about long content and premium design. Which, if you reverse engineer him, he does. Quite well.
What Brian doesn’t state, however, is that he spends a lot of money to get things right and create that amazing content that he does.
He’s not a designer. He’s not very good with videos. He probably doesn’t edit his own HTML and CSS to make his web pages look so good. He also probably doesn’t promote his content all by his own (not sure about this one though).
On average, I’d say that his Ultimate Guides cost at least $1000 each to set up, with writing, editing, design and promotion. And if you add the videos, it’s probably more.
That’s not what most people (or clients) want to spend. Sure, you can do it all by yourself, but you might not know design or you might not be a good writer or you might have no idea on how to do outreach.
Also, Brian already posts once per month or so, so it will probably take you more than that to get it done all by yourself. And if you have no idea how to draw, edit or write, it will take you even longer to learn it.
The solution here is to start with less competitive keywords and build your way up. As your business grows, you’ll get more and more experience and you’ll have more capital to outsource different tasks that are out of your area of expertise (such as design) to professionals.
You can use the CognitiveSEO Keyword Tool to find out how competitive a keyword is. Usually, what’s over 60 is considered a pretty difficult keyword to rank for. However, you have a list of other keywords below. Look for ones with lower search volume (although keep the relevancy score high).
But if you have the money (or client budget) already, hell, go for it. Take the top keyword and make the best possible content using the best possible team. Just make sure it’s a profitable niche and that there will be ROI.
6. Write More Content
One simple way of improving your content is writing more content.
You’ll hear different opinions on this topic. Some say that people don’t have the patience to read through 2,000 words. While that might be true for click-bait posts on Social Media, it’s definitely not the case when someone’s trying to cure hemorrhoids.
The fact that longer content ranks better in search engines is pretty much accepted as true by most of the SEOs. New research backs this up.
So, if you have a content that doesn’t yet make it to the top, add more words to it and you might see an improvement.
However, just adding random content won’t help much. Make sure you cover adjacent topics to make your content as relevant as possible. You can always use the CognitiveSEO Content Assistant to help you cover the most relevant points regarding your topic.
You’ll also score bonus points for content freshness if you update your old content.
Another great way of increasing your SEO visibility is publishing more often. If you write 2 articles per month, you’ll cover two topics. If you write 4 you’ll cover 4 topics. It’s simple math.
7. Compress Images
Slow websites impact conversions and they also impact SEO. Google doesn’t want their users to wait very much for websites to load.
One of the leading causes of slow loading websites are images. It’s also a problem with a very simple solution.
Don’t upload big images. Generally, they should not exceed 100-200kb in size. You should also try to find the right size in pixels. There’s no point in loading a 2000×2000 pixels image if you’ll only display it 200×200 pixels on screen.
You can also use image compression plugins. You can find plenty on Google for different content management systems such as WordPress or Joomla. If you can’t find one, you can try using 3rd party tools such as TinyPNG (manual) or ShortPixel (can be automated with API).
If you’re a photographer, you’ll probably want your images to be HD. If this is the case, then one trick would be to create a separate link for your HD versions. If you still aren’t satisfied with the quality, then you’ll need a faster server, but also take into account that the user’s internet speed matters as well.
8. Take Advantage of Caching & Minification
Again, another simple fix that can make a big difference is taking advantage of caching.
Cache files are stored into your users’ browsers. When users access your site a second time, instead of downloading those files (such as images, css files and javascript files) the browser uses the stored ones to load the site faster.
Most of the time, it’s really easy to minify and compress files and to enable caching. You can do it with a plugin such as W3 Total Cache if you run on WordPress, but there are plugins for all kinds of CMS.
Sometimes, however, minifying and compressing css/javascript files might affect your site’s design and functionality, so make sure you test thoroughly if everything works fine.
9. Claim Social Media Profiles
Social Media profiles can also rank in Google, if they’re public pages. You can optimize them for slightly different keywords, but still keep your brand and main keywords somewhere in the title.
Different platforms are fit for different types of audience so choose wisely where you decide to invest most of your time and money.
Either way, it’s a good idea to secure accounts on all of the popular platforms, just in case. You never know when you become an industry leader and someone else owns your page name on Facebook.
10. Ask Customers for Reviews (Use Incentives)
If you want your Google MyBusiness page to be at the top, you’ll need good reviews.
But how can you get them?
Sometimes, it’s as simple as asking them to. However, it’s a good idea to ask them on the spot and see them leave the review on their mobile device. If Google tracks their location, it will see that the review is genuine and that the person actually visited the business.
Other times it’s not that easy and you might have to incentivize them. You can ask them for a review through an e-mail after a week or so of purchasing an item. You can offer a discount for their next purchase if they offer the review.
Note that there’s a higher change of users leaving negative reviews than positive ones, so you always have to try to get happy users to write about you.
11. Optimize Internal Links & Adopt Internal Linking Practices
Internal linking is very important for both crawling and indexing as well as keyword optimization.
First you have to take care of your navigation. Do you use the proper anchor texts when linking to important pages from your navigation?
For example, on our site we use the most searched for keywords to link to our most important pages (because we want to rank for those keywords).
We also link to other very important resources on our site, such as the case studies we’ve worked on and published over the years. This shows search engines that those pages are highly important, since we’ve made them accessible directly from our top menu.
Then make sure you link between articles and pages when relevant. I’ve done this plenty of times throughout this article. It’s a good idea to also make a habit and edit old articles and link from them to the newly published ones (hopefully, Cornelia does this from time to time as I don’t have access to modify already published articles #theydonttrustme).
You can always use the cognitiveSEO Site Audit to better understand your site’s internal linking structure.
Another interesting practice is to link internally to random pages from your 404 pages. This works very well for big sites which often have 404 issues.
Don’t overdo this. Although Gary Illiyes said you can overoptimize this without a direct hit/penalty on SEO, it might affect the user experience which eventually leads to problems.
12. Remove Unnecessary Plugins/Features
Don’t add things that you don’t really need on your website.
A good example of a feature many webmasters think they need are sliders. Sliders kill conversions and they also make your site a lot slower, because most of them load the necessary JS files on all the pages of the site, while the slider probably runs only on the homepage.
Also, if you’ve decided you don’t longer need a feature, make sure you also uninstall that plugin/extension. Don’t just deactivate it. You should also check and clean your database from time to time of unnecessary tables and entries, but make sure you backup everything before you make any modifications.
13. Create Linkable Resources
When you create content, your first thought is probably to rank for that keyword. So you try to optimize the content for keywords and probably write more content, as I’ve already told you before in this article.
However, it’s known that you can’t really rank high without links. It’s also known that trying to hack your way into links is a risky thing and can get you into trouble.
So what’s a really good way to get natural backlinks? The secret is to rank for link worthy topics. A good example are studies.
Actually, I have an example right in this article:
If you use the CognitiveSEO Site Explorer, you can see that websites in industries where people are interested in studies and statistics take advantage of this.
For example, I’ve searched for Alcohol Statistics and added the domains that ranked first into the site explorer. To no surprise, those very studies that ranked there were the top linked pages on that domain:
It’s not a foolproof method so you’ll have to get creative. You can use tools like BuzzSumo to find out what’s actually popular at this point in your field/niche. You need to find the gap or outrank the other sites in order for this to work (but hey, we’re SEOs, aren’t we?)
We’ve used this technique for CognitiveSEO as well. We knew that people kept searching whether “social signals influence SEO”. We also knew most people needed a resource to link to. We also know they wanted it to be credible and that they like numbers. Big numbers. Like 23 million shares. So we analyzed 23 million shares and created this study about social signals and how they affect SEO.
And guess what? It’s in the top 10 most shared resources on our site, among with the homepage, Site Explorer and Blog page. The difference is that this page is rather new compared to the other most linked to pages on our domain.
14. Understand User Intent & Optimize for It
One thing that many webmasters seem to ignore is user intent. Although this might sound like some advanced technique that only the pros do well, the truth is it’s something rather basic.
How many times have you heard that you must “know your audience”? Probably plenty of times. Well, you also have to know what your user is looking for.
For example, if you’re trying to book hotel rooms, you might have your Book Now button pretty high. However, do you think that your users will try to book the room as soon as they land on the page? Probably not.
They will first want to see some pictures, probably the price and then other customer reviews before they decide on booking.
You have to take these things into account when creating the flow of your page. If on a mobile device the first thing they see is a big Book Now button and then a bunch of keyword rich content, they might leave the page because they were actually looking to see some photos of the room first.
Note that what I’ve said above was an example and it shouldn’t be taken for granted (although I’m pretty sure that’s the case 99% of the times). You should always test these things constantly to figure out what’s best for your website.
15. Perform A/B Testing
A/B Testing is a really good way of finding out what works and what doesn’t.
It’s something you should be constantly doing, but not as often as to jeopardize your profits too much.
This is usually the best test for conversions rates. For example, a small change, as minor as switching the button color from green to red might account for a significant increase in click through rates.
However, you can also test with SEO, but it’s harder to isolate, because so many things can affect SEO at the same time, from Google updates to server issues.
However, it works very well with CTRs, which means it works well with titles and meta descriptions. You can test two variants, each for one week and see which one did best. For this though, you’ll have to rank in the top 3 positions, at least.
16. Get an SSL Certificate & Move to HTTPS
Warning: Merging from HTTP to HTTPS is risky. It’s a good idea to consult an expert before proceeding or at least check a good migration guide.
SSL certificates don’t have a big impact on your SEO but they can have an impact on trust. As the internet evolves, internet security becomes a bigger and bigger issue.
Important data circulate on the internet, from names, e-mails and phone numbers to much more sensitive information, such as health or credit card information.
If your site sends information from the server to the client or vice versa, be it only through a simple contact form, the connection should be secured.
When browsing your site, people want to see a green lock, not a red one or any warnings.

17. Look at What Your Competitors Are Doing & Do It Better!
One fail-proof way of ranking to the top is trying to do what your competitors are doing (the ones ranking at the top, of course).
In the InBound Link Analysis section of the CognitiveSEO Toolset, under the Compare tab, you can find a section called Common Domains.
If you select “at least 3 sites” you can get a list of domains that are linking to at least 3 sites in your analysis. The goal here is to identify domains that are linking to at least 2-3 of your competitors but not to your site.
The theory here is that if those sites are already linking to your competitors, there’s a higher chance that they’ll also link to you as well, since they’re already interested in the subject.
However, you have to be careful not to build spammy links. Make sure you analyze your competitor’s link profile before you build the links. Anyway, it’s an opportunity that your competitors are already taking advantage of, which seems to work.
Also, this doesn’t only apply to links. Look at where they’re advertising, look at what they’re posting on social media and look at what their content looks like. Ideally, try to do everything better than them!
18. Get Mobile Friendly
Now this can be a big modification but I promise you, if your site isn’t displaying well on mobile platforms, you’re losing A LOT!
Sometimes, the modification might be as simple as installing a responsive website design. Changing themes on content management systems isn’t very difficult.
However, if your site was running on a separate mobile version before, you also have to take all the redirects into account in order to avoid losing traffic. Make sure you do this by the book and ask for a professional’s advice if this is the case.
19. Use PPC & Advertise
We all know that SEO takes time. It might take somewhere between 6 months to one full year to see any real results, especially when it comes to services and sales.
However, if by that time your business goes bankrupt, it won’t help much.
People always try to compare SEO to PPC but the truth is that they go well together. It helps you grow your business as you’re growing your organic search visibility and even when you’re at the top you can still use PPC to take up an extra spot in the search engine. Combine it with a top maps listing and you’re set!
20. Avoid Over Optimizing
Most of the things I’ve said in this article are pretty basic. So if you’re not doing any of that at all, start doing them. But don’t over-do it! If you try to overoptimize, you risk messing up things.
Don’t try to figure out the next big thing. If a couple of things work and show results, don’t try to abuse them. It might harm you on the long run.
This doesn’t mean you have to ignore any optimization tip or trick you hear. However, try to take a more ‘back to the basics’ approach and think long term.
You should still test new things, but one at a time.
21. Focus on Singular Call to Actions
Many people make the mistake of having too many offers on their site. You have to think very well what you want your user to do.
Do you want the user to enroll in an e-mail list? Then don’t show them ads. Do you want them to click on a button? Then don’t put an e-mail sign-up form in the sidebar.
If you have multiple offers in the same place, users might get confused or distracted and probably skip both.

Hopefully these tips will help you improve your SEO results quickly with minimal effort. Which technique from above do you think will be the most effective?

<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

Ending note
Hopefully these tips will help you improve your SEO results quickly with minimal effort. Which technique from above do you think will be the most effective?
Also, what other techniques have you used that were easy to implement but had visible or even significant results? Share them with us in the comments section!
