Jaws meeting Natasha’s parents and Alexi being like ‘I’m a super soldier! Let’s spar!’ And Jaws looking at Nat and Yelena, who has trained with them often, with big eyes like ‘will you be mad if I kick your dad’s ass?’ And Natasha smirking because Alexi kind of deserves a punch or ten.
As soon as both of them give the go ahead, Jaws just flashes a wide smile at Alexei "Yeah, sure."
Jaws just lookin' at Alexei and thinking, *rubs hands together* "I'm about to ruin this man's whole career." 😂

That god awful feel when you punch your Whumper square in the face and it doesn’t phase him one bit.
Sure. He stumbles back, head snapped back, and maybe for a triumphant second you see him wipe blood from his nose with the back of his hand...
But then slowly, very slowly, his head turns back, you see the malicious grin on his face as he faces you and he stands straight.
And you know, you know you're fucked.

Given the excessive similiarities between Blake and Raven’s situation, and the fact that Yang can apply Weiss’ (shit) advice to forgiving Blake instantly, you’d think Yang would be a little softer on Raven, but... no.
It’s kind of funny how much Raven and Blake have in common - running away, abandoning Yang, feeling chased or threatened into doing so (Salem/Adam), still caring about Yang and wanting to be close to her but being unable to do so , but Yang treats them both really differently in the end and the only reason we have as to why is “because Weiss said to”.
(Aesthetically, they even have  some method by which they set up others to take the fall for them - Blake’s Semblance, Raven and Vernal and uh... Yang’s rant)
It’s set up in such a weird way - Yang reacts so badly to Blake leaving because it relates to her existing trauma about Raven, but despite the fact that she’s able to logically rationalise that Blake left due to external reasons and it was probably really hard for her to do so, she can’t even begin to do the same for Raven. It’s not even like Raven really directly betrayed Yang besides leaving her.
(I guess Raven did side with Salem, though it should’ve been obvious that wasn’t what it seemed once the dust settled.)
RWBY has a Thing about designated good and bad guys - Yang’s rant at Raven based on information she doesn’t really have reminded me a lot of Ironwood’s treatment in vol 7 - and very little concept of nuance or what gray morality actually looks like, so I shouldn’t really be surprised.
Between Weiss’ onesided beatdown of her father, Oz and Ironwood being “bad guys” and Adam’s degradation into a frothing madman, I don’t think we’ll ever get to visit Raven’s side of things or even take a real look at Yang’s trauma, which really is a shame. Yang Good Raven Bad, I guess?
