Her daughter’s beautiful laughter. “I did it!” Aegon and Aemond cheer for her and Alicent follows the sound, going over to the window to watch as Helaena is passed the ball again and takes a running leap to kick it back, misses, and lands right on her rump in the grass. Aegon, of course, laughs at her, and Aemond pulls her up to her feet. Grass stains the back of her white pants and sticks to her long blond hair, but the three of them laugh still.

And it’s a magnificent sight.

When her husband dies from a long illness and leaves her with nothing, Alicent takes her children away so they can start over and be the family that they never got to be.

First, THANK YOU. And isn't Daeron adorable? It's easier to have him be a baby in this since we don't have a face yet for him on the show. As much as his older brothers and sister deny it, the baby is definitely the head of the household lol.

And third, actually, Rhaenyra is not going to be in this. I do have a modern Rhaenicent fic planned for the future, but Rhaenyra won't be in this one. I am going to have it completely focused on the family relationships, with no romance.

I’m working with futuristic augmented reality tech to design virtual versions of single-use objects that would typically end up in landfills! other things I’ve created so far are: glow sticks, sparklers, fireworks, and piñatas... minus the candy.
