Can you say what do you think the characters did after the graduation?

Just a warning that some of it might not be super well thought out. As a kid I didn’t give it much thought, I just knew they would do music and assumed it was preforming. Now that I’m thinking of it as an adult, I’m thinking of more nuanced ideas.

so here we go!

Broduey - Dancer/Choreographer/Dance Instructor. This was the easiest for me to decide on. Broduey doesn’t have that many defining traits sadly but one thing that is consistent is his passion for dancing. I think he’d make quite the career out of being a dancer and choreographer for big time names, someone really sought after. And I think later on once his professional career winds down, he’d open up a dance studio where he can teach.

Maxi - Music Producer. This one was super easy too because he does this so much during the show and it is what he’s most passionate about and gets the most enjoyment and fulfillment from. I went back and forth with him about dancing because he’s so good but I eventually settled on music producer because, of the two, it seemed the most important to him.

Naty - Songwriter. Hands down, this girl goes on to write some marvelous songs and has a brilliant career. I also think it’s be cool if she wrote a few plays because her actress apparently did so too. She writes with León, Violetta, Ludmila, and all of them because I refuse for them to loose touch.

León - Solo career singer. As much as the band was a big part of his story in Season 3, I’ve already sent them on different directions. León gets to be a solo artist and he just rocks it because have you seen Jorge in the tours??? He’s so entertaining it’s not even funny.

Federico - Solo career singer. And a successful one at that, especially in Italy. He’s just too charming and talented to not get signed again by another label. It’d be cute if he did concerts with Fran while they were both in Italy.

Francesca - Solo career singer. There is no doubt that once she wasn’t tied to the studio, Francesca had numerous labels clamoring for her to sign with them. She had what, three offers in the last two seasons? She is probably Italy’s darling; a big deal in Europe. People all over have at least heard of her.

Diego - Songwriter and guitarist. This one was hard. I always saw him as a performer but season 3 made me unsure. I knew he liked being on stage still but he just didn’t strike me as the kind to continue in that vein of the music industry anymore. Then I heard someone say he could be a songwriter and all the sudden it clicked. So I think he’d be a songwriter because he definitely seems more comfortable in that area. He’d collab with Naty a lot and if Diego and Fran stay together (🤞) he’d come with her on tours and play in her band.

Violetta - Solo career singer and songwriter. So this one I went back and forth on. Then I decided on both because why not? I think she’d have a very successful career as solo artist in Latin America on the larger scale or just Argentina on a smaller scale, not out there beyond her continent. I think that eventually though, she’d slow her career down and do songwriting more (plus she writes some spectacular songs so she could totally do it). This could probably be because she and León start a family and she doesn’t want to spend as much time on tour.

Camila - singer, songwriter, actress. So this was tough until I decided to give her them all. I agonized until I realized that Cami would probably just do all three. I can just see Cami on something like Broadway(ha!) doing acting and singing but also having a career as a songwriter. And if anyone would try to make it all work, Camila Torres would.

Andres - studio musician. Andres was hard because he doesn’t get a lot of focus when it comes to his music from what I remember (I’m still rewatching s1 after years). But he is consistently on the drums or some form of instrument when preforming instead of out there dancing. So I feel like if he did take a musical career, he’d be a studio musician, where they play for the songs of artists that aren’t a band. I have this headcanon that he is a beast on the drums.

Ludmila - Solo career singer. So this one was my hardest. And even now I’m not too sold on it. I think Ludmila finds great comfort in music but I also think that she was pushed a lot by her mother into the career she wanted her to have instead of allowing her to discover what she wanted herself. So if Ludmila does end up as a singer, I think it’d be a small one. Actually, this is kinda weird but maybe she’d become a writer??? Idk that just popped up out of nowhere.

Thoughts on Violetta after rewatching the whole show:

This is biased because of childhood memories but oh my it has been such a pleasure rewatching this series. The last time i watched this i must have been very young because i dont have a lot of memories (i think i was maybe 12?). I fell in love with (almost) all the characters, I’ve laughed, I’ve cried and I’ve screamed but it was all so worth it. Shout out to this whole cast and crew for making this series incredible.

Special shout out to my fav ship: Leonetta! Loved you guys since i first watched this years ago and even though you guys are kind of annoying, i love you so much :,)

the character development of some of these characters was so good. I love that we got to see more of why Ludmila is the way she is in S3 and her bond with Germán is just so good to watch. Btw; Angie, my love, you can do so much better… i love that i have made friends that also love this show as much as i do. Also THESE SONGS OMGGG. The soundtrack for this series is just so good???

Anyways to close this off; i can just watch this series again and again and not get tired of it i think. 10/10

The ocean breeze blew, chill and fresh. Naty inhaled deeply, leaning against her car. The view was beautiful, she thought idly, but it didn't matter, not when she was facing Ludmila's back in the middle of the night, not when Ludmila refused to tell her anything. She had called her about two hours ago, her voice cold, almost emotionless. This is not normal, Naty had thought, and so she had showed up at the Castillo household in the middle of the night, unaware of the state she was going to find Ludmila in. Ludmila had snuck out through the back door, hopping in Naty's car without a word. As she started up the car, Naty had taken the time to look closely at her face, but it was as cold as her voice had been on the phone. That sight alone had made Naty's heart ache in her chest.

And now, now she was standing here, facing the ocean, and facing Ludmila's back, and Ludmila was still refusing to say anything.

"What happened?" she asked at last, hoping to get Ludmila to confide in her. When her question was met with silence, she tried again, "Did something happen with Priscila?"

"Nat," Ludmila's voice was cold, sharp. Naty saw a shiver run down her spine, Ludmila crossed her arms - to shield herself from the wind or from Naty's words, she couldn't tell. "I don't want to talk about it," she ended up saying, her voice less sharp, almost resigned.

It hurt, seeing her like this. No matter what had happened between them, and what would ever happen, Naty had seen Ludmila at her worst, and she knew her at her best. I will always love her, she had told herself all those months ago, but at the time, she didn't know loving her would mean seeing her like that, and feeling completely helpless about it.

Still, she would endure this pain and even more, if it meant Ludmila wouldn't have to endure it alone, and she knew she wasn't the only one to feel like this. And so, that's what she decided to tell her, hoping, praying she could get her to open up.

"Ludmila, you're not alone," her voice was soft, nothing more than a whisper. Ludmila's shoulders tensed slightly at her words, almost imperceptedly, but Natalia noticed right away, because that's what she did, that's what she had always done. Looking, watching, seeing her. "You can talk to Violetta, or Federico," she felt her voice waver dangerously, she felt like she was slipping. But Ludmila needed her, and Natalia wasn't the person she once was anymore. She could be strong for the two of them. "You can talk to Diego." Ludmila tightened her embrace over her own arms at the mention of his name. Naty could see the shell cracking, could perceive the strom threatening to flood over them any second now. She had made up her mind a long time ago, she would stand in the eye of the storm right next to Ludmila. With a bit more strength in her voice, she said, "You can talk to me."

"No," Ludmila snapped. The wind blowing through her hair was getting stronger. "They hate me, all of them," her voice was shaking, barely holding onto the last shred of control she still had. "I hurt, lied and stole from Violetta." One sharp inhale, it wasn't regret in her voice, it was the cold, harsh truth. They both knew that. "I betrayed Federico's trust," the trembling in Ludmila's voice seemed to be getting harder to control. "And Diego..." she paused at that, seemed to gather her thoughts. Naty noticed Ludmila's nails digging into her arms, threatening to break the skin. "Diego doesn't even want to hear my name anymore," she said after a while, resigned.

Each word falling from Ludmila's lips twisted Naty's stomach, hurting her too. She wanted to yell at her, to force her to look into her eyes as she swore to her that she was loved, that she deserved to be loved. She wanted, needed her to understand she wasn't alone.

Instead, she bravely took a step forward. "Violetta loves you, and I know you love her too," she said to Ludmila's back, with enough confidence to get her to tilt her head towards her. She wasn't quite meeting her gaze yet, but they were getting there. "Federico would do anything to make you happy." Another step forward, Natalia could see Ludmila's gaze on the ground. "And Diego," she said, hoping to find the right words. She still couldn't understand the depth of Ludmila's relationship with Diego, couldn't see it as clearly as she wanted to, but she knew how important he was to her, and she knew how damaged their relationship was. "Diego is still here," she chose to say. Another step forward, Ludmila's back now right in front of her. "Despite everything, he's still here. Despite the anger and the hardships, he lets you break down into his arms every time you need it."

Silence followed her words, but it wasn't as hard to handle as she would have expected. Ludmila wasn't some sort of figure Natalia had to chase anymore, always further and further away, she wasn't out of reach. She was right in front of her, turning on her heels to face her. Ludmila looked down at her, her expression serious, but not as closed as it was when she'd come into her car.

"And you, Natalia?" she asked, her voice low.

Natalia inhaled deeply, locked their eyes. She didn't need to think about her answer. "I made a promise to myself a long time ago," she started, trying to convey all of her feelings in her words. "The promise that I'd never stop loving you, that I'd always care for you, that I'd help you in any way I can to get you through this." She never looked away once, making sure the meaning of each word would be implanted in Ludmila's mind. Softly, as if not to startle Ludmila, she added, "But I can't do it on my own, none of us can. Ludmila, we all want to help you, but you need to let us in."

"Let you in," Ludmila repeated, more to herself than to anyone else. Her face was less tense, almost vulnerable. Maybe she could hear it, someday. Maybe she would finally let Naty, or Diego, or Federico or anyone else finally, finally know what was actually going on.

"Ludmila," Naty knew she sounded desperate, but she couldn't help it. "We all want to help you, but we-" she cut herself off, closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she felt brave enough to continue. "I want to help you, but I just- I don't know how."

Ludmila's face relaxed, surprise, sadness and understanding mixing on her features. The wind was still blowing, but she didn't look like she would get caught up in the storm anymore. When she opened her mouth again, the words flew easily.

"For now, this is enough," her voice was soft, her smile comforting, contrasting with the wind blowing in Naty's ears. Naty smiled back at her, concern twisting her stomach, but relief washing over her.

Someday, she would wake up and finally get to listen to Ludmila, to know her hopes, her fears and her dreams. Someday, she would wake up to see the day Ludmila would finally let her in, let all of them in. But maybe, for now, this was enough.

top 5 ludmila moments please <33

Ok so I'm gonna take a page from your book here and just go with the first five moments that come to mind without thinking too much about it, so these are in no specific order.

A) This scene in early s2 where Ludmila is trying to insult DJ and gives him a whole lecture about meteors in the process

I don't even remember the full context of this, I just remember Naty and Ludmila go into the music room when DJ is using it and Ludmila starts going off on him about how he's a meteor and she's a supernova, and in her attempt to insult him she gives him like, a full lesson on what meteors and supernovas are and the point of what she's saying gets so completely lost and it's so funny. The reason this scene means so much to me is because it's the first time I fully realised just how much Ludmila cares about astronomy, and her love of astronomy is honestly one of my favorite things about her. Maybe this sounds silly, but this was really a pivotal moment in getting me to start liking her character.

B) Another early s2 scene where Ludmila is rehearsing Destinada A Brillar but then she thinks about Violetta and starts crying

This one I actually remember the context of pretty well. It happens right after Ludmila finds out that UMix offered Violetta the chance to be their star, and Ludmila is clearly upset about it but she's trying to put up a strong front, you know? In the beggining of the scene, she tells Naty she just needs to remind everyone who the most talented person in the Studio is, but then she starts rehearsing and just starts crying mid song. It's such a powerful moment I think, it really shows you just how performative her whole diva attitude is and how underneath it she's really just scared of not being good enough. It was a moment that really humanised her character for me, and it was another pivotal moment in getting me to like her.

C) When Ludmila says "the tour has been great, mostly because of me"

This one is pretty much just what it says in the title lol. It's in the very first episode of s3, they're doing that opening sequence where they show how everybody's lives have been like during the tour, and then she just says that. It's such a small moment but I love it so much because that was what made me realise how much my opinion of her had changed. Like this is exactly the type of comment that would have made me roll my eyes in s1, but instead it just made me chuckle like 'yeah that's Ludmila :D' and it was such a nice feeling.

D) That scene where she's watching a romcom with German and Violetta and they get into a popcorn fight

I just love to see Ludmila being happy and having a supportive family so much!! And that was such a funny scene too, like Violetta's offended little 'she just told me the ending' when Ludmila said that the two romcom leads were obviously gonna end up together is just so good, and I love how Ludmila was being so snarky throughout the whole scene but still clearly having fun. This moment just lives in my heart.

E) When she confronts Federico about not believing her when Priscila accused her of pushing Violetta down the stairs

Ok listen. I usually just jokingly call this scene 'the scene where Ludmila tells her canon love interest that she can't date him because she needs to be with someone like Naty' because I mean, that does happen, but there's also so much more to this scene than that. It's such an amazing moment of her stating what exactly she needs from a relationship going forward, now that she's really trying to be better, and it's just so good. Like, her overall point was 'you fell in love with me when I was in the best place I had been in a while, but I can't promise to be the best version of myself all the time, I'm going to slip up and do bad things sometimes, and I need someone who's gonna trust me through my mistakes too' and I got emotional just typing that right now because it's such a powerful sentiment and it's so intelligent and mature and really shows how much she grew. I know I said I wasn't ranking these and for the most part it's true, I'm not, but if I was this scene would be number 1.

☕️ favourite violetta season (i have no idea how to ask this lol)

tbh i don't even know my favourite season 

Like, I like all the seasons, but it's weird for me to call one of them my favourite. Though, we can safely eliminate season 1 as (even though I still like it and rewatch it sometimes) I feel like it's the weakest season and the lies are pretty amplified even compared to Roxy.

Now we’re left with seasons 2 & 3. I’d say they’re both my favourite for different reasons.

For season 2, it’s just objectively the best?? I love the songs of the other seasons, but season 2 has the best overall. A lot of the characters are at their personal best (maybe I’m just thinking of Vilu as I love her in s2 much more than 3, but Angie also had some development from the last season of year-long lies). The plotlines are some of the best in the whole show, from the Madrid plot that everyone loves to the small ones like the teachers’ therapy. And although this season has issues like the other seasons (especially episode 59), it had way fewer compared to s1 & 3.

For season 3... It’s most people’s least favourite season, but if there was a love-hate slider thing for it, mine would have a bigger love section... if that makes sense. To be fair, I did reach a point where I would skip a lot of scenes yet would still get the plot (they were mostly Gery & Clement and Jade & Matias scenes + some scenes where I couldn’t handle Priscila anymore). As literally everyone who follows me knows, Ludmila is my favorite character and she was what kept me motivated to watch the next episodes. Her arc is so well done?? It’s very surprising how much they got right with her compared to almost everything else in the season, including her relationships with Naty, Vilu, and (surprisingly again) Germán. And although Priscila is still an asshole, she is such a well written character both as a villain and an abusive parent. It’s like they put all their attention on Ludmi and crammed writing for every other character right before they were supposed to be filming. Apart from her, the songs are great too, the cinematography is great (I was very shocked when I saw episode 1 and the shots of the tour and Germán and his car were gorgeous), the wardrobes (for the girls lmao) are *chef kiss*, and idk, it’s quite funny. This season does have problems that I can’t name right now because there’s so many, but I tend to see the good more when it comes to this show.

(It looks like season 3 should be my favourite judging by how long that paragraph is, but, again, it feels weird calling any of them my favourite. Also, most of the bulk comes from my love for Ludmi because. I. am. predictable. 🤪👐)

dieleon: many songs could be the obvious choice here but i actually decided to go with coney island! i see them as having this complicated relationship where they often butt heads and can't seem to get each other's point of view, then having a big fight and realising how much they miss each other when they're gone. "and if this is the long haul / how'd we get here so soon? / did i close my fist around something delicate? / did i shatter you?" they actually care about each other a lot and have very different ways to show it but they do girl...they really do.......

marciego: i put it on their playlist and i really tried to think about another one but new year's day is just sooo them. "i'll be there if you're the toast of the town, babe / or if you strike out and you're crawling home" is basically CANON, like marco sticking out for diego despite what he's done and never leaving his side cause he knows him, he knows he's better than his worst mistakes, and i also think it's such a cute, laid back love song that describes them very well and ummmmmm i love them so so so much your honour!

fedemila: listen. i thought of them for one second and only one song came to mind so please consider: starlight. aside from the very obvious title, i think it's such a cute song that fits them so well? fede wanting ludmila to actually let loose and have fun?? like, "he said, 'look at you, worrying so much about things you can't change / you'll spend your whole life singing the blues / if you keep thinking that way'" is so very distinctly them for me?? and also the energy of the song i think fits them too, like i can imagine them dancing to it together and being the fucking power couple they are yknow!!

A very overdue rant about Violetta that no one cares about 4/?

This is probably going to be my last post on this but who knows maybe other thoughts may come up in the future for me to revisit this.

I will now discuss the movie - Tini: The New Life of Violetta. I watched the movie for the first time recently and only once. This I had to watch in the original Spanish because the English dub was so bad. No, it wasn't because the voices weren't the same as the series but because it was genuinely dubbed badly. They weren't able to convey the dialogue with emotion and realism - it all came across as very cartoonish and fake.

I think that visually, the film is beautiful. The cinematography is gorgeous and I love everything about it. However, the film falls short on its plot. It doesn't really embody the charm of the series.

The lack of Leonetta scenes was disappointing to me. I didn't hate the Cairo guy because he wasn't annoying or an ass. But I hate that the film spent most of its time building up/developing the relationship between Vilu and him rather than showing her longing for Leon. Like I'm all for that endgame excellence but it doesn't logically make any sense that she went back to Leon in the end. They should have developed her decision-making in that more. I was robbed of beautiful cinematic scenes of Leonetta.

The whole Tini plotline did not make sense. I get that they want to draw a connection to Violetta and Tini but come on. It just comes across as random and doesn't seem authentic. They literally could have taken that aspect out of the film and it wouldn't have changed much. She didn't need to have a secret name to start fresh. I get that perhaps it's symbollic of the whole Violetta era ending and that Tini is now moving on from the franchise but it was not executed well and honestly, I don't know if there would be a right way to execute this.

Also, they did my girl Ludmila dirty. They literally portrayed her as a fool in the movie. Don't disrespect our supernova queen like that. Her and Federico are supposedly not together anymore. FAT REASON to dislike the film. She gets together with some obnoxious asshole with a yacht. As if Ludmila would ever get with someone like that. She's actually really smart and knows her self-worth. She isn't going to fall for some dick who helps her like once. In the show, she does provide as a source of comedy but she isn't made out to be a fool like in the film. Ludmila in the show and Ludmila in the movie are two completely different people.

Ending on a more positive note, that Leonetta kiss was *chef's kiss* and the songs were pretty good as well. I really like the duet song - the harmonies are beautiful. I know that not many people consider the movie canon and neither do I tbh but it's good for when you want extra Violetta content.

Hram

Hram. Village Day. One of the first words I learned from my PST host family. And one of the words I had a quite a bit of difficulty learning to pronounce because the H in Romanian is hard and a slight rolled R. Having H-R together felt strange in my throat.

I was lucky enough to have been able to go to both my PST Hram and my permanent site’s Hram this summer. As with everything in life, there are differences and similarities between the two. To begin, I will discuss Strașeni’s* Hram and then I will discuss Fălești’s* Hram. Then, I will discuss the similarities and differences.

(*Giving the Raion name, not the actual village name where I’m living)

Strașeni:

Sadly, Hram landed on a Thursday during PST so I, along with the other Trainees in my village missed the beginning. But, also thankfully, it was a Thursday! If you recall from a previous post I mentioned how on Thursdays we generally had Hub Site! We talked to the people in charge and we were given the opportunity to skip breaks to make the day move faster. Instead of Hub Site ending at about 5-530p we were able to leave at 330-4p. We invited other Trainees to come visit our village since there are often lots of rutiere and taxis. It would be easy for them to return to their village. The neighbouring village/other EE PST village came and some COD people came as well. (They needed to take a taxi but split between ~4 people it would only cost 25lei which isn’t too bad.)

So onto Hram! When we arrived in village, since Diamond and I lived in the center and closest to the stadion (where Hram takes place) we offered everyone to leave their bags at our place. Alleyce dropped her bag in my room and charged her phone while we waited for others to situate themselves. Mama was home and very jubilant. It was early but she said we were going to eat dinner now and then head out because the parade will be passing by around 6p. We sat down to eat and Alleyce was very happy with the food. Then Diamond and Angela came by. Mama had them sit down and join us for dinner. They, too, enjoyed the food. Since it was a celebration we were given a glass of wine.

Then, Nana Mila was at the front door yelling frantically and the four of us we confused and Mama began yelling telling us to leave the masa and go to Hram! We were confused but then we looked at the clock: it was 6p! We went running up the road just in time to see the parade passing with Ana-Maria walking in traditional clothes! The parade was a little confusing but it had to do with a reenactment of a wedding from a fable or something. I was confused. I asked Ana-Maria about it, she, too, was confused by it all. Regardless, it was pretty and I’m glad I got to see it!

Overall, we did a lot of standing around and mingling. There were manymanymany speeches, including a mayor from a village of the same name from Romania! (I hope to visit there someday.) Like everything, we were told dancing would begin at a certain time but it didn’t start until a few hours later….The surprise? We were going to dance! That’s why we wanted all of the Americans there to join us on stage! We had planned 2-3 dances but the night dragged on, more people left, and then suddenly I said to the group, “Isn’t that Ana-Maria on stage?” We walked over and it was her! We watched and then Kathryn came up to us saying frantically “WE’RE NEXT!” So we went running to the backstage. We ended up only doing one dance, Copperhead Road. I’d never done it before but it was easy enough! Everyone loved it. Sadly, since we were the only Americans left….no one was there to record it.

After dancing we were given a small masa and chatted with other people performing. Ana-Maria had gone home and changed into more relaxed clothing. We all hung out. Danu had been selling corn all night and he gave us free corn to eat. But as the night went on, people went home. Ana-Maria and I were the only ones left. She convinced me to go on the trampoline. While standing in line we met some classmates of her’s. They thought I was younger than her. :[

I say she convinced me because I was exhausted and wanted to sleep. I’m glad I went because I forgot just how much fun it was! I just wish I had changed into pants or shorts since a dress on the trampoline was not much fun…..

After that we met up with Beatrice. We walked around some more. Found Mama. We ate some cotton candy. Then I went home at 11p. My phone was at 5%. I went to plug my phone in when I saw there was a message from 1030p from Katherine saying there was a surprise masa for us held by the Mayors from Moldova and Romania. I told Ana-Maria I should go. Both she and Beatrice accompanied me. They stayed outside and I walked in alone. Very intimidating. While sitting there, both Ana and Beatrice walked in helping bring in more food! Kathryn, Katie, and Jorge were already there. As was Volunteer Clayton and Jorge’s friend he met at Hram. I stayed for about an hour and walked home (with a phone at 1%) at midnight. I felt safer (still significantly nervous) than in America.

When I got home no one was there, so I took a quick shower and relaxed on my bed. At about 1230a-1a everyone came home. We chatted for a while and I went to bed!

But, as I mentioned….this was a Thursday. Friday I had Romanian at 8a. I woke up early, somehow was functioning and off to school I went!

I arrived at site mid-August and 11 days later was Hram! A great opportunity to meet people. But also an opportunity for people to learn that I’m in the village. The day before I had been to a birthday party with Mama and we were out until about 3a. Thinking Hram began at 10a (like it had in the past and the that’s when the other Hram had start in Strașeni), Mama and I woke up early and headed out. But they were still setting up at the stadion and people were playing soccer. We went back home and I slept a little more.

At lunch time we ate and a couple woman came over to join us. My stomach was nervous as well. Why? I was going to dance again! Ludmila, my partner, is the diriginta* of eighth form. The older classes prepare and perform on the stage. Three girls from the class and I did a five minute mishmash of the Cupid Shuffle, Cotton Eyed Joe, and Copperhead Road. It was fun! Afterwards Sergiu gave me a bouquet of flowers!

Before the performances we were hanging out behind the stage and I had the opportunity to meet the mayor of the village. She apparently didn’t realize I was the volunteer and thought I was 18...at least that’s what she said to me. She told Mama and others she thought I was 14. Darn my young face!

When I was finished with my performance I went into the audience and watched the remaining performances. After a while I went off with the students to see children wrestle for a rabbit. It was hilarious and wonderful. I hung out some more. We listened to some people from the village perform songs. Then the biggest draw arrived: a famous singer from Chisinau. While she was singing Mama and I joined groups of people dancing. People were impressed that I knew how to do their dances. It was difficult in a large circle to dance but it was lots of fun!

After dancing for a while people left to go eat dinner. Mama and I went home. I was tired and stayed home. Then, suddenly, I heard fireworks. I watched from my porch. I guess after I left there was a large disco. I wish I had stayed for it but there’s always next year! If only I was more of a night-owl partier.

Comparison:

I’d like to point out that PST village on paper has about 4.000 people in it. While my permanent village has about 2.500 people. This contributes to a lot. The PST Village had the rides and trampolines up for a couple days—into the weekend. But Site was on a Tuesday and I didn’t return to the stadion right after, but I assume everything was taken down. The trampolines were not like in PST and the Stage was built then taken down, unlike the permanent stage in PST. Also, PST did not have fireworks. My Site had more dancing from the audience which was a lot of fun!

*diriginta: a combination of a homeroom teacher and a guidance councilor. Essentially knows everything about everything in each student’s lives.

Also, this part becomes a lot more about Sherlock than it is about Elizabeth. But I think we all knew that was going to happen eventually, right?

This post will be a little... squishier?... too. Mostly because the data we have about this part is very, very squishy. For good reason.

I do recommend reading the middle and the beginning first. But hey, I’m not your mom.

Remember how in Many Happy Returns, Anderson had a theory that “dead” Sherlock had been hiding out in Tibet? Then after that he was just bopping around the world, solving cases and goofing off?

Then we got The Empty Hearse and pretty much everyone decided that no, Sherlock had spent the hiatus having a painful grimdark time destroying Moriarty’s web.

There’s reason to suspect Anderson was the one who had it right all along, though. For one, Anderson’s version is closer to what happened in the original stories. For another, if Sherlock had really been out there taking down all the remnants of Moriarty’s web... seems like he did a pretty crappy job of it? Because they ain’t gone.

It could, of course, be some combination of both versions that kept Sherlock busy while he was away. But let’s at least consider that Anderson was on the right track. The last stop on his map had Sherlock landing in Brussels.

Sherlock’s old childhood friend Elizabeth was in Brussels doing work for the SIS under codename Eurus around the same time. Maybe Sherlock and Elizabeth/Eurus ran into one another there? Who are we kidding, it’s TV. Of course they did. And since Eurus worked for Mycroft and probably had similar security clearance to her coworker Anthea, it’s not like it was the end of the world if Eurus knew Sherlock was alive. Or maybe she already knew the whole time as part of Team Mycroft.

Unfortunately, something horrible was about to happen. Eurus was captured by the Scowrers--a nasty band of international assassins who all have the same triangle-in-a-circle shark fin tattoo. Sherlock wasn’t able to protect Elizabeth (he’s on a roll with that, huh?), and was captured as well.

I won’t try to randomly guess specifics, but whatever happened once Eurus and Sherlock were captured was probably in the capital-D Dark category everyone keeps promising for Series 4. (I gave you a happy beach scene. I can’t give you everything.) Whether she was killed or locked up in some deep, dark, underground lair [🎶 “My little master, who will find me deep down below the ocean?” 🎶] Sherlock and Mycroft’s goldfish friend did not fare well against the Scowrer sharks.

Ludmila Dyachenko, one of the assassins who was running around shootin’ folk and kidnapping children in Reichenbach, was among the Scowrers who’d captured Eurus and Sherlock. (I’ve had Ludmila slightly misfiled in my theories for ages, but she’ll get her own post later.) Ludmila, already skilled at disguise, would eventually have plastic surgery in order to steal Eurus’ face and identity. That’s who we met at the end of The Lying Detective. (The thing about being a secret sister was BS, whether we’re referring to the real Eurus or to Ludmila. It’s not like John knows enough to call her on it.)

Remember what that fake!Eurus said, though? She told John she and Culverton Smith had a mutual friend. So what that really means is Ludmila and Culverton had a mutual friend. And which of Culverton’s friends was highlighted in the episode? The guy whose company produces TD 12, the memory inhibiting drug.

So Ludmila had Sherlock captured. Ludmila had a friend with a magic memory erasing drug. And now Sherlock’s back out in the world with apparently no memory of the real Eurus.

Ludmila wiped Sherlock’s memory of what he’d seen of the Scowrers, and everything he knew about the real Eurus.

Well, almost everything. The TD 12 memory erasure wasn’t perfect. (Maybe Sherlock managed to yank the IV drip out before it was done, as he discussed with Culverton.)

Consider the unsuccessful removal of a fish tattoo--Sherlock is now living with a “slightly blurred memory” of Eurus the goldfish.

The remnants of memory that weren’t removed are still banging around in his head, though, and have been causing some unexpected results.

That’s why in the giant drug trip / dream that was The Abominable Bride, there was a woman singing, “Do not forget me...”

Also in TAB, when Watson asked, “What made you like this?” Sherlock replied, “I made me,” then heard the sound of a dog and questioned, “Redbeard?”

But as Mycroft’s notebook hinted, Redbeard was a red herring. Apparently Sherlock was right about his “the drugs opened certain doors in my mind” hypothesis from the end of TLD. Because ever since getting completely wasted in TAB and hearing the dog noises, Sherlock’s been having recurring dreams that include a day long ago with Redbeard... and Eurus’ voice singing a song. Erased memories are beginning to fight their way back through, slowly.

Compare all of the above to Mycroft’s lines from the trailer for The Final Problem: “Every choice you’ve ever made. Every path you’ve ever taken. The man you are today is your memory of Eurus.”

The imperfectly erased memories of Sherlock’s experience with Eurus and the Scowrers are also the source of Sherlock’s aquatic “premonition” in The Six Thatchers when he sees the missing Thatcher bust. Somewhere deep down in his wiped-out memories, Sherlock knows this is connected to what happened with Eurus (goldfish) and the Scowrers (sharks). And he’s right, because the Thatcher situation was connected to Mary, and Mary is connected to the Scowrers.

One way or another, Ludmila and the Scowrers let Sherlock go after his memory was wiped. They had other plans for him than killing him, or they wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of erasing his memory in the first place.

For some reason that we still don’t know, Sherlock ended up breaking in to a Serbian military facility after that. He’s captured, but Mycroft gets him out and takes him home. They’ve had a tip from an agent (Eurus) who was believed to have died getting the information. There’s an underground terrorist network planning a massive attack in London, and Sherlock needs to go stop it. Of course, that’s exactly what the Scowrers and Lord Moran want Sherlock to do.

Sometime after pulling Sherlock out of Serbia, Mycroft must’ve figured out that Sherlock’s memories had been corrupted. For whatever reason--possibly because he doesn’t know how to fix the damage even if he wanted to--Mycroft plays along as if there had never been an Elizabeth/Eurus. (That’s why he wants to change the subject quickly when Sherlock suggests he may’ve had a goldfish while Sherlock was away, uses the wrong pronouns to refer to the agent who died getting the underground terrorist network tip, and pretends the brothers had never successfully made friends with any other children when they were younger.)

Because it now turns out Sherlock may not know exactly what happened while he was away, I also need to reopen the question of who the lies in the barber scene were for. Before now, I’d always examined that sequence assuming that Sherlock knew the truth, but he might not have.

One last note on Sherlock and Elizabeth...

I’m not a shipper for this show, and never have been. Not trying to sail or sink anything here.

But I do need to note that since Sherlock was walking around all night with a woman who’d stolen Elizabeth’s face, and saying things about how her lover should’ve known she was hurting herself and helped her... There’s definitely a line they could take to be foreshadowing an Elizabeth / Sherlock romance.

On the other hand, there’s also the brotherly compassion angle that’s being worked with Elizabeth and Mycroft.

The final destination may be something loosely based on The Copper Beeches. Holmes says he wouldn’t like any sister of his to be in a situation like the one Violet Hunter is considering--brotherly! Watson thinks Holmes might be interested in Violet in a romantic sense--shippy! But then Holmes shows no further interest in her after the case--classic Holmesian ambiguity!

If you made me guess right now, I think we might get a relationship with some room for interpretation. But again, I’m no shipper, so I’m just planning to roll with anything.

hii <3 always let's go!!! apparently with a big focus on domestic leonetta today?? oh well hell yeah

when they first started spending the night at each other's place (mostly when they're living on their own i mean, not necessarily when they're still with their parents), vilu wanted to do very romantic things like having breakfast in bed and leon tried to indulge her

she then quickly noticed how much getting crumbs on the bed was testing his patience (he tried really hard not to show it so she could have her cute breakfasts in bed, but he does have a pretty expressive face)

after that, she took time to discover parts of him she never got to know, very practical, domestic things you know? like getting to see him evolve in his space, the way he cleans

i see leon as a bit of a clean freak, and i say that in the way that i think he'd be the kind of guy who cleans his space because it makes him feel better, calmer, but also who cleans because sometimes he gets uneasy when he's not cleaning (most of the time i think it'd be something else he bottled up and that only gets to go out like this lmao), and i think vilu would be very good at noticing when he's cleaning because it feels good, and when he's cleaning because it feels bad

if it feels good, she loves watching him from afar having his moment with himself, if it feels bad she lets him take this time to calm down, and then tries to bring it up later

they're both morning people, but while leon is pretty normal at night, you cannot tell me that violetta doesn't fall asleep the second her head hits the pillow, no matter what time it is

leon will be chatting with her from the bathroom while getting ready for bed and when at some point she just stops answering, he chuckles to himself and knows he'll go back to his room to find her already sleeping, most of the time in a really uncomfortable position because she wanted to wait for him to go to bed and tried her hardest to stay awake

btw i am Convinced that when miss 'rich girl who's always had olga to do everything for her and who puts her shoes on her bed' got her first apartment and had to learn to live on her own, it was a MESS. there were clothes EVERYWHERE, dishes broken and just so much chaos going on, she tried to do what she did at home which was just helping olga without realizing how much more olga was doing without telling her and she ended up completely overwhelmed by the whole thing. the first time olga came to visit after like two weeks or so she probably had a heart attack, and then she gave her an affectionate lecture while cleaning the whole place with her and helping her get through it

leon probably had that rich kid problem to some extent too, but i really don't think it was as bad as vilu

anyway back to leonetta!! they cook together!! a lot!! especially when they're at their peak in their careers and don't get to spend as much time together as they'd want, when they're finally alone i want them to cook and have fun and make a mess because they do Not cook as much as they should so clearly it's not that good in the end, but they had fun

when they do it they put music on and vilu dramatically sings along the song, using whatever ustensil she has for cooking as a mic

every single time leon laughs with her but says he doesn't do that, but eventually she gets him to join her, even tho he's still more reserved

they probably end up laughing and dancing and kissing in the kitchen while their meal is burning in the oven but it's ok they're in love <3 they can order takeouts <3

also i don't know when they'd actually move in together but i really feel like at least for a while they'd want to have their own places you know? they'd take the time to figure it out by themselves but together before doing it together together

ludmila says they're idiots because they're always at each other's place anyway so what's even the point

the day they move in together is also a relief for everyone in their friend group, because these dumbasses got so used to living with each other but also not living with each other that nobody never knew what "let's meet at my place" meant

I know this one is gonna be kind of an unpopular answer but Supercreativa, this song is just not it for me. The audio is so heavily edited that I feel like it grates my ears, and lyrically I think this is the weakest song Vilu ever wrote. It's so straightforward, you know? Just this plain "be different, don't be mechanic, be yourself" with nothing more to it. Also I don't get why they randomly bring up a zombie in the chorus when the whole song was about being *automated, mechanic, computer*, like to me it doesn't fit in at all. And yeah, I know a lot of people like this song but it's not my thing, sorry.

I mean, this show has a lot of unanswered questions, but the one that keeps me up at night is who was the guy Ludmila was calling dad in s1?? Like I know that back then the writers hadn't come up with Ludmila's redemption arc yet, but you'd think that once they decided the whole ordeal with her dad would be a part of it, they'd try to come up with something to explain this plot hole away. But then they just didn't?? And when you rewatch s1 that sticks out so much?? Like come on writers give something here, please.

Please tell me how you are gonna rewrite Violetta. I wanna know it all.

You can read the posted chapters here, it's only in season 1 at the moment but i'm gonna rewrite all three seasons.

So, i'm not sure how I will do everything yet, since I often change my mind in the middle of writing, and while I think everyone who reads the rewrite has seen the show, I don't want to spoil all my changes... but here's the idea:

Angie tells Violetta she's her aunt right away. Mostly because I wondered what would happen if she just told it on the spot.

Germán lets Violetta attend the studio, although what he won't like her doing is the Youmix stuff, because he doesn't want her to be famous everywhere. So Violetta sneaking behind her dad's back is getting more of a plot when she wants to compete in the competition in s1.

There's more focus on people trying to figure out who they are - and while Leonetta will break up in season 1, it will... not exactly be because of Tomas, but rather because of... Leon noticing Violetta might be confused over something about herself...

Also I tend to bully Tomas a little... a lot. But he's gonna get some good scenes too.

Braco, Napo and Luca will stay all three seasons. Really they don't have to do much. Braco and Napo will just be in the background commenting on things and Luca will kind of do the same.

Also, with Luca staying, the Fran-moving-back-to-Italy-plot will be much easier to solve... making everyone happy.

I don't want to have Germangie a thing, but I will have to... just for a little while. Just because of drama, and also because of it making the story move forward.

Lara will also stay in season 3 and she may try to stop Gery from doing basically anything.

Camila's story arc will be interesting. Her canon storyline were like "season 1 - figuring out herself and what she likes", "season 2 - finding out what type of boy she likes", "season 3 - learning she likes to write songs and also act". I don't think I will spoil much when I say that Brodemila will NOT be endgame, rather Camila will figure herself out in other ways. Let's say season 1 will focus on her thinking about her identity, season 2 will focus on her exploring her identity in different ways and season 3 will be more of her... I guess accepting her identity more lol. I don't know how to explain it but I know what I will do with Camila.

Jade and Germán are never a couple - however, she is still very obsessed with him. But since I kind don't have Matias in my rewrite, Jade may much quicker get over Germán.

Also Esmeralda works for herself... she's just... well, you'll see.

Ludmila and Naty will have a lot to figure out... both on their own and together. I've already kind of started on this in my posted chapters... ;)

OKAY, now Francesca! I will let her keep her canon love interests, but I will put a little twist on it. Because every single one of her love interest seems to realize that... there's someone in Fran's life that she seems to value over everyone else. And she might have to figure out how she feels.

Also she and Diego doesn't fucking. Hide from Violetta. Violetta doesn't care, she's just happy they are happy.

There will be a mandatory Leonetta breakup in every season, but they will be for more valid reasons (especially in s3)

I despise the 2x20 kiss and I want to remove it. They will have a fake kiss on stage. HOWEVER, internet fans might think it's real and Diego is like "yeah we actually kissed lol" and still causing drama. But not AS frustrating.

Angie will still go to France because I think it's great for her. In season 3, she will have other focuses on her mind though.

I love the concept of Roxy and Fausta, but I don't like how canon did it. So Roxy and Fausta will stay, but this time it's more of Violetta and Francesca just kind of wanting to disappear for a while (for different reasons) and be other people. This will happen in my franletta fic, but I will try to make it differently played out here so they are not identical.

People are gonna ACKNOWLEDGE that Violetta has dyed her hair because I cannot let that go unmentioned

I'm not sure if the ending scene will be a wedding... we will see.

I'm rewatching seasons 2 & 3, but I'm only a few episodes into s2 and my memory is horrible, so I won't be able to remember a lot of scenes, so I'll try my best.

My favorite scene of them

I just got reminded of that scene in season 3 where Diego is mad at Ludmi, but lets her rest her head on him while she’s crying because he still cares for her. GOD IT’S SO GOOD.

A random headcanon I have of them

Ludmi and Diego just gossiping about literally everything while they’re not busy with their plan in season 2. 

“Ugh, Ludmila, what happened with Camila this time?” “Are you sure you don’t have feelings for her or something? You’re a little obsessed with her–”

My favorite thing about them/What makes me like their friendship (the first paragraph is the same answer for both questions)

I just love their dynamic so much. They’re both such snarky bitches and I love their banter so much. Also their intimate moments like the scene I already mentioned. And they’ve got such a history behind them that I want to know more.

Oh god, one more thing, but I love how the show never hinted at a romance between them. I’m pretty sure Diego made some comments here and there teasing her about the idea, but they were all just him joking and being his clown self.

A scene I wish we had of them

Maybe a scene in season 2 of them bonding over not knowing their fathers and a scene in season 3 of them bonding over how they used to be mean but redeemed themselves. I definitely just want to see more scenes of them interacting in general.

It’s very hard to find platonic f/m songs since most songs are about romance, but I just remembered @marciego’s post about the song Nothing Left to Lose from Tangled the Series fitting them. And like... it does almost PERFECTLY.

Oh, also Drown in my Mind by Story Unfold. It’s similar to Nothing Left to Lose in that Diego already redeemed himself before she did, but this time it’s almost like Ludmila’s reaching out to him.
