bought myself one a those glowing moon globe night light lamps, because i needed a bedside lamp, and WHY NOT GET A MOON
we've been together less than an afternoon, and i've already taken to calling it moon-moon, because of its silly behavior.

Aurora Borealis over Iowa. April 23rd-24th, 2023
#I'm still so amazed that I got to see this last night my heart is filled with childlike wonder and amazement whenever I think about it#I was so surprised to actually see how fast the waves move in person it was almost like there was a strobe light illuminating them#and how they were changing shapes and colors (though it was hard to see the colors with the naked eye) and the intensity of the glow#after being out there for about 20 minutes they slowly shifted to being above us and it was just magical to look up and see them#man am I lucky to have had the opportunity to see this last night I've always wanted to see them since I learned about them as a kid#someday I'll go somewhere where you can see their full colors and intensity :']#aurora borealis#northern lights#iowa#weather

philip glass should be sending me christmas cards. i'm so attached to the OST for the Illusionist that even though it's less than an hour long i've been listening to it on loop for 4 hours now, with 6 hours to go until this goddamn paper is due 💀
#i think it's going to be a pretty good paper though?#it's on legal controversy around ADA requirements for disability accommodations at entertainment venues#because i'm disabled and love going to concerts and it actually fucking sucks sometimes lol#i spend over $40 for tickets to see the hives at an amazing small venue the other night#and had to go home after standing in line for 45 minutes because they had a sign taped to their door#that the show would be using strobe lighting that could cause problems for people with light sensitivity#haha then i got to spend another $40 for an uber home since i obviously couldn't ride back with my friends who could see it 🙃#anyways there are really no legal protections for that lol but at least physical disabilities have some pretty good protections#zoe stuff#anyways sorry for the tags rant i'm just upset

#vocaloid#kyo rant.vsqx#really long rant in tags aswell#i know alot of MVs dont have flashy lights but some of em DO and thats pretty annoying as someone who just recently got hit with#the photosensitivity train. bleghhh.#my photosensitivity isnt bad it just makes my eyes sting a bit and it only applies to bright white flashing which ai dee and#freely tomorrow by mitchie m are both guilty of and that sucks because they are very good songs with cool MVs aside from that#OH AND ALSO some of the live concerts have white strobing which. OW. nuh-uh. that's NOT fucking it#might also explain why i don't like playing project diva as much because theres usually a colorful/fast moving PV alongside the gameplay#which i also find VERY distracting. like i love the PVs don't get me wrong! they're beautifully crafted#but my god it's hard to focus. and thats why i like sekai more is because they have lite mode which has you play with a simple background#no flashy PV just. calm. good for the eyes! the only way you can get that experience in diva is with practice mode and that does not give#scores which is the whole fucking THING for diva.#RANT OVER LMAO Umm thats alot.#oopsies lol
