that would be ck!!! i just love my acronyms sorry... altho i think i should just give up its title since the title is directly pulled from the song that sort of inspires it, which is circle k (back to you) - hawai. it's for dc comics and for tim Of Course... you know what.. let me just pop in the summary bc i like it a lot

Working at a convenience store in Gotham City is a thankless and often dangerous job. Especially if you are working the graveyard shift.

You quite liked your brief stint at the Circle K in Keystone City, if only because the Flash could be found taking care of crime before they even happened. Plus, your store was the one he frequented the most for snacks and drinks to replenish his energy.

Even if your friends, Steph and Tim, don’t actually believe that he visited you and in fact said you two were friends. (No, seriously, he did!)

But a surprise visit from him with Red Robin in tow, a pointed insult to the Bats’ general hostility and unwelcoming nature, and suddenly, you have a revolving door of vigilantes at odd hours of the night. Your most frequent visitor and the one that bothers you for a reason you can’t articulate since it also coincides with Tim Drake’s sudden avoidance of you?

But it’s probably nothing, right?

i really liked the idea, first off, but ck is also different in that there's a pre-established friendship going on so i get to focus on the present issues without building up too much, although it's also a tiny bit non-linear because i put in a lot of flashbacks to pivotal moments in tim and reader's friendship as well as those same moments between the flash/wally and reader. plus it features more of the batfam AND i get to include some of the flashfam too!! it's a lot of fun!!!

🌿 who is your favourite character you've ever written?

another favorite of mine would definitely be.... honestly probably wally. he's also a bit like eijun but not quite as clueless (which sounds bad but. Its just a different brand of Silliness) and in ck, where he has a fairly important role, he's taken a friend/brother/weird uncle type of role that is just... again. very comforting. he's simultaneously kind of a jokester but also not willing to be straightforward when the situation calls for it, if that makes any sense. like he's not completely comedic relief, he balances it really well

does anyone else have like a super hyperspecific genre that applies to only them?

for example: i got a genre of music (they dont necessarily match theyre from diff genres but fall under this umbrella) that gives me a nostalgic feel of memories i dont have

like almost the entire sudden sky album from crown the empire gives me a nostalgic feeling of memories of me escaping from a science human experiment facility???? or like fantasmas by humbe gives me the nostalgic feel from memories of me dancing in a ballroom by myself in an abandoned castle reminiscing of older memories of people long since passed.

i even have like a genre thats different kinds of metal/alt songs that are heavy with like soft vocals mixed in that sound a certain way that it makes me think of me during the zombie apocalypse, taking over my high school to make it a safe haven/my exact plan of how i would turn into a self sustaining thing. (a lot of old memphis may fire songs, wage war, and other bands/songs for this one)

like its just a VERY specific genre that only i get. does anyone else have genres like this or is it just me??? 😭

kinda similar to what i was saying about query, a lot of the music i associate with outis is just noise stuff. except, on a much louder scale. this one i think fits outis best in terms of like, its overall vibe or at least the feeling i get from it. tbh i have so few songs for outis because it has such a particular vibe to it that only this song has really matched well enough (to me at least).

For Viewer: The Glory - San Fermin

okay a bit embarrassing but. i also have like, very little music i associate with them. their playlist is virtually empty for some reason. i don't know how that happened considering i think about them all the time. i do always listen to like, very loud music in the same vein as i do when im drawing outis but somehow none of the songs really stuck. This is kinda the main one that feels most resembling viewer or at least catches the vibe of them.

while I am on my indie soapbox can i mention the everybody's worried about owen glowup. there are leeches in denton lake was REALLY good, like i didn't dislike it!! but it IS the soft string instrument sadboy genre and that's ok. like i liked it and kept telling people to listen to ever since i got my little hands on it. but then he dropped nunemakers swingset which is goes SO SO HARD. please listen to nunemakers swingset. for strange sad little men. the gravedigger and the nightingale. nunemaker's parable. very very good
