Ahhh Mochi your mind is literal gold, I love your version of why Kreese would be so focused on Johnny in his younger years, especially since his pride wouldn't let him admit to Terry that it put a strain on their relationship! So now he is forced to show Terry that it was all worth throwing away their dream of expanding the dojo and prove to him that Johnny truly is the champion he sees.
I was wondering what do you hope to see with John and Terry's relationship in season 6? Do you think it can still be salvaged? 💜
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my ramblings. 🥲
I'd still like to see all the ideas we've been talking about since the disappointment of S4 haha. I don't know what's realistic to hope for anymore, though. Their relationship in S5 was completely stagnant, which makes it hard to predict where the story is going.
Ideally, I want them to reconcile and FINALLY be the ultimate villain team they're destined to be. I'm a broken record, but I don't know how you write a story with the two main villains, who are lifelong friends with deep emotional history, and just…never use that to its full potential.
Both Kreese and Terry have nothing left to lose. Kreese broke out of jail and is running from the law. Terry may go to jail, or at least be held up by the legal system (he's a billionaire so he might weasel his way out of everything). They weren't on the same page before, but they have a common enemy now, which is also why a team up makes sense. The problem is I don't know how they get to a point where they trust each other again. Neither regretted what they did, so S6 would have some work to do.
Most importantly, they need to reconnect on an emotional level. I don't want it to be a marriage of convenience for revenge. I want to see their relationship from the flashbacks and TKK3. I want to see it at its most pure and loving and vile. When they ultimately go down, it has to be together, and it has to be tragic.
