i know that it's a pivotal part of the storyline but lowkey i wish that the cheating subplot had been guarded and wasn't one of the first things we learned about them as a couple, because it's making everyone be dicks about them.

like, topmew can't even breathe without someone referencing it as if that makes everything else compelling/sweet/hot about them moot. top becoming an unselfish lover for mew is somehow regarded as a bad thing?? character growth is bad now???? falling in love and becoming a better person is bad??? 🙄

anyway, to quote force, "my son is a good person." >:( and if not!!!! he's still going to be an excellent character.

i just had a bad thought about why top looked... scared? worried? that he'd done something wrong to mew in the kitchen and i don't like it. the "am i not doing it ok?" line also fueled it, and im not even entirely sure what it is? it's hard to explain, but I want to study him like a bug so bad. why is he the way that he is???

"i want to study him like a bug" made me scream djslgjieg BUT YEAH SAME that line is so interesting, like it seems more than just, 'am i actually bad at sex and everyone's lied to me?' or 'did i hurt you?' and definitely along the lines of 'oh shit i'm being rejected' but... more...
