Just a bit of lore relevant vent art (with terrible proportions bc apparently I mess that up horribly when I'm tired ugh. Watch me regret posting this tomorrow. The head size is already driving me mad bc it's too big, and I can feel myself wanting to abort this mission already) of Mourynn just, lying down on top of one of those large elevated Pale Tree roots far above the Grove (and far away from everyone else), and during the time between the early years and before the Personal story. Caithe is gone (Destiny's Edge), Wynne is gone (bc well, y'know...), even Faolain is gone (bc of Caithe in DE), and she's just feeling miserable, lost, and alone. (Her hair is in between her sapling hair and the Zhaitan hair, so it's grown out a bit bc she's depressed, and she's meant to be in the new outfit she designed, but I'm in the process of redesigning it a bit, so I've made a few tentative changes for now. Her collar is now just an extension of her clavicle leaves which can be put up like a collar, or can be draped down over her shoulders or back)

Ace Attorney fandom.

I know why people don't like Turnabout Bigtop. I am among the people who dislike Turnabout Bigtop.

But I GET why people like the case. I'm not going to be one of those annoying people who just blindly dump on it because I hate those mfs too.

Thing about Bigtop isn't that it sucks. Thing isn't the weird grooming stuff (though that is a huge part of it). It's not that it could've been good.

It's that - in my personal OPINION - it could have been *great*.

I think it had the potential to be one of the best third cases in the trilogy. It had everything; a fun and goofy setting fit for a pretty dang goofy lawyer game - where the environment itself had jokes and quips and one-liners and mishaps and tomfoolery written all over it, it had the previous case introducing a very interesting and important plotline that gave background for one of the more well-loved characters while also introducing an equally fucked up and lovable new one who was a child forced into a shit childhood of naivete in a CIRCUS with another character who was very naive and childish - whose interactions could have been funny and cute and reflective of said shit from the previous case (seriously she becomes such an important character in the 4th case, WHY would they not include her in this one for some character development? How did they fuck up letting a CHILD explore a CIRCUS?? That would have made the interactions flow MUCH better).

They had a pretty good, sympathetic killer imo, a morally dubious victim, an asshole of a client (who was pretty flat admittedly in-game, but I like his weird, topsy-turvy reasoning for it in the anime. Also, I think Max being kinda a dick would have bode well for the themes of Farewell since most of his clients up to this point have been like...nice? Not nice, but sympathetic, but him having to defend someone who's innocent but a prick would have shown him that just because someone is an asshole, doesn't mean they deserve to suffer for it and that they have the potential to grow as people, which is almost a complete opposite of what Matt was. Ultimately, I would have loved the contrast of them as clients and I think it would have also served as character development for Phoenix, especially with his low-empathy tendencies).

They just didn't think that far ahead. They just didn't execute it well enough. They just decided to make three of the adult characters fight for the hand in marriage of a teenage girl. (Bat's part of the story was actually kinda good if he was just YOUNGER, I think him doing that for Regina would have been a stupid thing someone in the circus would do to impress their crush. Damn you Ace Attorney and your weird treatment of underage girls!!)

It just flopped and that's ok.

Even though it kinda sucked, it can still mean something to me.

Also I'm a Moe Curls apologist. I liked him, shut up.

small brain: the scene where jayce gets it on w mel and the scene where sky asks viktor out and he refuses are paralleled to show that jayce has decided to focus on politics (mel) and neglect his partnership with viktor, while viktor continues to focus on science and experimentation (as well as poiting out viktors growing isolation from those around him).

Before anything else, I must admit, Soup is quite literally a GUY. I also have very little of the way of snippets for him as I'm still fleshing out exactly where I want to start off.

Soup is the hero of soup I created with the cursed link generator by @gaylactic-fire

He was supposed to be a silly guy having silly adventures but I have no chill so...

I created a whole plot spanning 18 years with political conflicts, a assortment of new monsters, betrayal, a continent wide war, corruption and possession

If I sat there and yapped about all the numerous twist and turns of Soup's story, we would be there for hours @lennsart would know, they really had to go listen to all that insanity

Soo for now I'll give you the nice and simple with some more character design and nicknames !!

I present to you this universe Zelda, Ganondorf and OTHER LINK. Yes, you read that right. The adventures of Soup started with two childhood friends named Link going on an adventure what could possibly go wronng ? Every single thing went wrong

Before I even thought of putting any of those guys in LU which I ultimately did because the brainrot for both was so deep I gave them some nicknames for convenience sake !!

A little bit about each of them :

Soup is a playful guy. Friendly and energetic, he avoids any kind of battle like the plague. It is quite impressive how he slivers his way out of conflict, disappearing in the blink of the eye. Though he is of good company, the twenty year old farmer has nothing to his name. Given he has never had any money in his pockets, it's no wonder he became a pro at evading scornful enemies.

Wine is a full on warlord. She leads her country with an iron first ever since nobles tried to overthrow her family in her very early twenties. Years of corruption and a kingdom on its knees from evil taking over froze her over. She is rather cold but an impartial ruler. Impa helped her decipher and utilise Sheika technology to prevent the fall of Hyrule.

Whiskey isn't the big bad guy™ here. There is some lore behind it. He does remember Demise's previous iteration but it's distant and feels like another person's memories and wants. He is actually a pretty chill guy. Actually, with Wine, he was one of Soup's must-trusted companions during his second quest to save Hyrule.

Land is an energetic and headstrong child. If Soup wasn't his voice of reason, he would be long dead. Always running head first into trouble and monsters, it's a wonder he is still in one piece. He holds half of the triforce like Soup but he is the one that uses Fi most of the time. She resonated much more with him rather than the young careful almost fearful demeanor of Soup.

That's what I'll say for now has some more people asked about the boy !! I hope it's not disappointing lmao he is my silly boy who has the most specific hobby in the world : Soup

About the WIP !

I don't have a lot around as I have the LU/Zelda juice running hard in me and I finish most of my art but here's my current sketch of a Fierce Deity Mermaid illustration

It's SUPER SUPER rough but that's like my first sketch sooooo I hope it's interesting !!
