A/n: I know it’s been a while but Ive recently started watching the boys and fell on my knees for this man. Literally on my knees for him, I love him so much.

Summary: After having a long mission all you wanted was a shower along with a sneaky link but What happens when you take a steamy shower pic and send it to the wrong person?

Some of the basics you just joined the boys and have became close with Frenchie, Kimiko, M.M, Hughie, and even Annie. For some strange odd reason Butcher never seemed to be interested in you or even care to remember your name. You’ve tried being nice and understanding towards him but he either ignored you or walked off. That’s when you decided you weren’t going to pay attention to him anymore and for 3 whole weeks you haven’t.

You couldn’t think of Butcher at this exact moment though, the only thing you thought about was finishing a stupid mission to get some intel and get out quick. You sat with Frenchie and Kimiko in the van right behind Butcher who was driving. Everyone was busy talking who was doing what, when Hughie turned to you.

“You remember what your job is right y/n” he seemed nervous but serious.

To be totally honest today wasn’t the best day for you and you weren’t having it he told you your job over and over today least to say you were tired of it. Sure you were the youngest but you weren’t dumb.

Sarcastically you say “ You know what Hughie after the million times you told me, I don’t fucking remember”

The van got silent for a moment. Hughie was in shock along with M.M and Frenchie.

“Oí whats the matter with you” Butcher roughly says while looking in the mirror to look at you.

“Can you just drive” Rolling your eyes you avoid the gazes from everyone else by looking out the window. You see as Butcher he goes to say something but you just put on headphones and ignore him.

After an agonizing car ride, the van comes to a full stop. You took off your headphones and climbed out of the van, Frenchie holding the door gave you an apologetic look. You pull down your pencil skirt fixing your blazer as well.

“You okay, mon amour” he put a hand on your face.

“Yeah Frenchie don’t worry about it” you gave him a comforting smile and turned to close the door.

The job today was to get into vought and plant a bug in Stan Edgar’s office. The seven haven’t seen your face around enough to remember it so you were the one going to sneak in.

Frenchie was hooking you up to a mic and camera so if you were to need back up you could get it within minutes. “Okay you should be able to get in and out with little obstacles” Hughie reassured you. M.M handed you the bug which you put in your phone case as Hughie did.

“Okay I think I’m ready to go” you were confident you were going to be able to do this.

“Aye don’t screw it up”

You turn to Butcher. He has a dumb smirk on his face that you want to punch off his face but you keep your composure while you put in your ear piece before walking away.

You pulled out your phone while walking in the building typing a message.

While walking through security and getting a pat down, you see Annie walk by she gives you a smile and a head tilt on which way to go. You are escorted by security up to the elevator. You had a cover as being an important investor to vought but you wanted to meet the man himself. Stan Edgar. Feeling your phone vibrate in your hand you look at it to see a message from Butcher. Without unlocking your phone to see the message you show it to the tiny camera connected to your shirt.

You hear through your earpiece, it’s Frenchie telling you to ignore the English man so you do putting your phone down to your side.

When you hear the elevator ding you are met with none other then Homelander. He has a disgusted look on his face as he looks at you. You start walking out of the elevator when he speaks.

“Have we met before”

You don’t know what to say almost to stun to speak so you just smile “No I don’t think so, maybe at a charity event”

You give a smile to reassure him. He looks you up and down seeing his expression change you change the topic. “Hey would you happen to know where Mr.Edgars office is?”

“Oh sweetheart you’re on the wrong floor” you cringe at the ‘sweetheart’ part feeling your skin crawl.

“Here I’ll take you” he states not making it seem like a question at all.

In your earpiece you hear Butcher -don’t fucking get in the elevator- he sounds furious so you take out your earpiece and take out earrings to cover it up and shoving it into your purse. Now your team can only see and hear you.

Homelander steps into the elevator holding the door for you, giving you an overwhelming smile “so are you coming or not”

You smile back to him before stepping inside the elevator. “Thank you so much for showing me”

He holds the smug smile on his face “No problem sweetheart” you cringe at the name again as your smile dies down. It becomes awkwardly silent as the building floors ding, you hear your phone starting to blow up. Homelander turns to you “You can answer that if you need to” you give him a head nod “oh it’s nothing important” he starts to speak as the doors open.

You take a step out quick not wanting to be with him a minute longer, leaving homelander in the elevator by himself. Thanking him you hurry to Stan Edgar’s office, he’s not in his office according to starlight. Quickly you pop in putting the bug under his office desk. You rush out of the office to be greeted yet again by the bitch in red white and blue.

“He wasn’t in there was he” he’s staring into your soul, taking a step closer to you.

“Oh no he’s not, my assistant was texting me that he rescheduled last minute” you smile to him hoping it would make your lie seem more believable.

“You’re a lying bitch” the supe threatens backing you into a corner with a freighting grin on his face.

“Excuse me”

“I do know you, you’re one of Huggies little friends aren’t you”

You try to shove him but he doesn’t move “I don’t know what you’re talking about” He pins your arms down.

“You’re lying, I can tell” His eyes start to glow red, when starlight comes into view.

She rushes to your side as she yells for him to let you go. He lets go “Oh hey starlight” he tries to play it off.

“Miss why don’t you come with me” She puts an arm around your shoulder, leading you back to the elevator. When inside the elevator and the doors close she turns to you with a worried look on her face.

“Did you really take out your earpiece”

“Yeah but Annie-“ you try to justify for yourself but she cuts you off.

“Y/n that was really risky, if it weren’t for Hughie who knows that homelander would have done”

“Okay im sorry” you didn’t mean it you still finished what you were suppose to and nothing that bad happened. You open your phone to see you have 10 messages all from Butcher.

Ignore the dumb cunt.

You have a shocked look on your face turning your phone to Annie. She has a puzzled look before grabbing your phone and looking at the messages. She’s shocked too. She covered your camera mouthing how she’s so shocked and didn’t know Butcher was this upset, totally agreeing with her as you are still in shock.

As the elevator doors open you separate now at the main floor, you step out of the elevator giving her a small wave. Walking towards the front door, you see a person you recognize pretending to read a newspaper. As you meet his eyes Butcher drops the paper and starts walking over to you. You stop walking standing in place in shock. He grabs you by your wrist before practically dragging you outside the building. M.m pulls up with the van before Butcher shoves you inside following you in climbing in the backseat. M.m drives away and that’s when Billy starts yelling.

“What the bloody hell were you thinking” he yelled.

“I think I planted the fucking bug” you yelled back at him getting into his face.

“You almost died y/n”

The van got quiet. Butcher had never said your name ever. To stunned to speak but still boiling with anger. You try to turn away putting on your headphones.

He pulls them off “I think the fuck not”

“Oh so now you want to act like you care like you’re my daddy”

You continued on “You treat me like shit just to care now, fuck you butcher”

Hughie tries to intervene “Guys come on-“

You turn to him “Hughie thanks for the back up but I swear to fucking god-“ you feel a hand go across your face. You hold your face.

i am actually so suspicious of this god damn moth post but i cant find any concrete evidence to prove theres something wrong with it other than my gut feeling and i feel insane

like of course first of all this post is from 2013 and im not really willing to believe any given post from 2013 is true specially when the post is this amazing coincidence of this person coincidentally finding those two coincidentally aesthetically pleasing moths and managing to get them coincidentally snuggling together for a picture. yknow. it does feel too weirdly good to be true

BUT SECONDLY im so weirded out by these two moths specifically.

ok bear with me. the little one is very obviously a rosy maple moth. (which is also coincidentally one of the most famous moths specifically for being pretty)

but im willing to believe any given english speaking tumblrgirl at the time could find one considering they live seemingly accross the united states and canada. fair enough

BUT my problem is the big one. of course everybody even in the notes seems to be classifying it as a luna moth (ALSO a famous moth species for being pretty) you can also feasibly find them in north america, ok.

theres also the point of their lifespans

luna moths as adults live only for about 7-10 days, and i had a harder time finding info for adult rosy maple moths but it seems its about the same

the source of this is an old article from someone actively breeding maple moths x but i believe its the same with moths in general, since they literally dont have mouths and cant eat so they just mate and die.

SO youre gonna have a small time span to find one. both moths are also mainly nocturnal, which makes even weirder that op found both of them during the day.

theres also the point of WHEN are they adults. aka maply moths seem to show from from may through the summer

luna moths though, seem to vary in when they show up depending on place. some do include late may or early june on northern regions, ans a generation in july in central states.

which means you could, feasibly, have a span of about a week or so in may, june or july where both maple moths and luna moths are adults and alive at the same time.

BUT THE POST IN QUESTION IS FROM APRIL 16

thats NOT when adult rosy maple moths show up, much less both of them.

though maybe im just being too pedandic with specific dates and theres margin for variation, but its, again, some real big coincidences

BUT FINALLY theres the fact im suspicious about this luna moth IN THE FIRST PLACE.

i might just be going actually crazy here, but for this we've been assuming the luna moth is the species that exists in north america (otherwise these two wouldnt be in the same place at all)

and you see how theyre kinda weird compared to the one in the pic.

the luna moths are mostly green, with much less of this pretty pastel pink of the one on the tumblr post. you could argue they have pink markings but in most pictures i see they seem more like a dark red/brown with a remarkable very thick marking on the wings

you see how the moth in the pic just looks kinda weird. but that can also be from filters or editing to make the photo prettier making the colors different.

(i also think the tail looks weirdly long, but there seems to be variation in the tail length in various luna moth pics ive seen, so i cant speak for sure about that)

(i also cant tell you whether the sizes in comparison to each other are right cause i suck at visualizing size comparisons and its not like theres any other pic on earth of the two together so.)

CONCLUSION: i dont fucking know. i spent an hour looking moths up online and didnt get any reasonable answer to my doubts. i guess in the end THERE is, even if small, a chance of you finding both these boths alive at the same time in the same place so i can fully discredit the op. i give up im going to have breakfast

woke up at 11, scrolled through mcrblr until like 1 when i started writing this. i then used hot glue and safety pins to make a few pins [while listening to isles and glaciers]. one i drew domo on, one saying brokencyde, and the other with the my digital escape logo thingy. i ended up accidentally ripping some of the brown off domo but when i filled it back in it was a completely different shade so he looks a little funky [pics at end].

after i went outside with boris and texted a few people. this lasted up until around 4 because i ended up watching jordan sweeto + more ronnie radke interviews at the same time/afterwards. i knew today was gunna be pretty laid back considering i can never really think of anything to do/i have no excuse to go out and nothing to do even if i did. so i literally just watched reels until 6 until i had some food and contemplated having a nap.

i went for a 30/40 minute walk with mum and dad and then went back home to drop dad off and have a drink before we left for the beach. i typically hate the beach, it’s a sensory nightmare, but ive been talking about going when the tides in so i can find some pretty shells and stuff.

i don’t know when we left, but it was surprisingly relaxing. i picked up a ton of purple shells as half of the beach was full of them and a few unusually pattered ones that i’ll probably post tomorrow, after they’ve been washed. i flipped over a few rocks and watched some baby crabs too. the sea was really calm and it sounded really nice, i don’t usually like sound of water but these were barely waves so it was all good. we got back at around 10:30.

after a while of watching tv i overheard that my family were fighting so i checked to see where boris was. long story short the argument escalated and the cat wouldn’t come in and went way too close to the road for my liking and i completely freaked out. it took me ages to get him in and i stayed with him trying to calm him and myself down for like 2 and a half hours until my sister finally gave up the argument, and went to sleep. then i comforted one of my moots and asked my parents the questions about boris.

i’ve had a stomachache, migraines, hiccups and my chest has been sort of.. spasming the whole day so i attempted to get to sleep a little earlier than usual. i think it’s definitely something to do with my eating but i don’t want to make things apparent to my parents although i’m genuinely in so much pain. im not at all excited to wake up early tomorrow to see my excessively judgemental provision. [my provision is a person i see one times a week (i have two) ultimately instead of me going to school. i have to do education related stuff with them but i’m new with this particular person so atm we’re just being forced to get to know eachother.]

i said goodnight to boris at 3:14 and fed him his last meal of the day at 3:16. it was super hard because i’ve been extra worried about him today especially because of how stressed he’s seemed. he was acting like his usual self at this point though which is good, i love cuddling him everyday and everynight. went to bed around 3:30/40

weirdest week ever. woke up sunday thinking i was sick because i was hungover and ive been keeping myself chronically severely dehydrated for a while now... my lovie actually has covid though :( so much running around and shes sooo sick i need to take care of herrrrrrr. i wish i could trade places with her im used to being sick. but shes being so strong and its weirdly mild all things considered, no coughs or GI issues and 800mg ibuprofen makes most of it oddly bearable but she cant be walkin around and she went outside ln (it was like 91° still and the feels-like was definitely around 100) and it knocked her fever back into place.

ive also worked like two days total maybe. called out monday cuz i was hungover while kai was sick so i thought i was sick too but nope then had my usual wednesday wfh and then i had off for 4 july and then i had a site-mandated (not corps-mandated) wfh day on 5 july. and my wfh days were like nothing these three training modules took it the fuck outta me so i did like 4 hours of work each day lol. and ive been mostly caretaking or running errands so its all been dreamy home-bound vibes or driving.

anyways aside from work? im watching my parents 1yo cairn terrier.

and shes a hassle. my parents are in CA rn w their besties they met at church in my hometown like 35 years ago right before they moved to CA and adopted like 9 kids. my parentsve never fully committed to deeper training or socialization and theyre using us as a training extension. all impulse no listening its crazyyyy. well shes listening with "off" now... but shes learning dogs. and shes learning cats 😈 but shes a 60/60/24 (all 60 seconds for all 60 minuted for all 24 hours) kinda dog and if there are no more abby (abigail) haters left in the world then i am dead.

the easiest part of my week has been watching elliots cats for mealtimes including lunch because theyre watching their godmother-boss's kids' dogs at their property for a little over a week. theyve been able to make the trip back to their apt a few times but its literally more than a full time workload LOL so theyre spread a lil thin. and now their godmother-boss is like sick sick shes been teetering over the edge for like a week now and keeps pushing and she almost needed emergency transport but ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ now elliots taking care of her dogs which a few weeks ago was the same more-than full-time so im hoping i can supplement as much as they let me while they supplement someone they care about (and their children, who are paying them)

AND AA YAY GOOD FOR YOU!! it's def expensive but so so worth it in the end 😭😭 i remember for me (idk if every state does this!!) but i actually did my lessons when i was like 16 1/2 (for many reasons we won't get into 😔) but anyway!! in my state or at least at the drivers ed school i went to if you were that age they'd allow you to do this thing where basically they just threw all the information you'd learn over the course of the week (or however long all the drivers ed courses are) in one night crash course style!! and then u take the permit test at the end of it and then u get ur permit!! and although i felt a little behind everyone else bc i didn't start drivers ed immediately yk i was kind of glad i got it all done in one night!! and like you learn all the info and then IMMEDIATELY take a test on it so it was kind of easy!! but best of luck to u!! i hope it all goes well <3

ben's last day at work is the 17th + we get married on the 26th so im praying that this gives us enough time to dodge this current covid surge... he's literally not bothered at all and is just like "we'll figure it out :)" and im like oh my god... what is wrong w/ you like ... we have spent so much money we literally need to just not get sick the next few weeks ohhh my god... he's going to his family's at the weekend + that is gonna be the last thing i let him do (i might go, but i have a hsit ton of work to do and i dont think taking off a day is gonna help me get it all done) bc that *should* be enough time to get covid + get over it lol esp that we're all vaxxed as much as possible *and* ben already had it last december and i think reinfections on average are less severe (yes i know there is a lot of stuff arguing the opposite as well but i think people misinterpret reinfection studies as though there's an expotential risk - whereas it's more like, two nasty falls technically doubles your risk of breaking a leg or whatever but those two falls dont (usually) interact with each other at all to make said risk overall worse or greater or what have you. this was a huge tangent) also like whilst i do still fully take covid seriousyl i think it's ok to acknowledge that th eviral landscape looks massively different than it did in 2020 + that it generally isnt as much of a threat as it was back then to a population with varying - but generally high - levels of immunity either from vax or actual infection or both. would prefer to keep this immunity from "vax only" but i am pretty sure id be ok in terms of long covid - partly bc "long covid" is a term that encompasses much more than it should - it includes side-effects from severe illness, lingering symptoms such as a cough that lasts for 4+ weeks, and then the ME-like illness that some people get. this final category is actually vastly smaller than the other two (UK ONS suggests that it's something like 0.1% of the population have been "severely disabled" by LC compared to the group who haven't been - about 5% and this group declines over time - the severely disabled group doesnt.) + i think we need to bear this in mind when considering risk of "long covid" bc like atm "long covid" can mean way too many things to be a useful term. so when people say 1/10 infections result in long covid i think: ehhh

HOWEVER ALL THIS TO SAY that if ben gets covid and we have to cancel and/or postpone the wedding i am going to fucking murder him. so the weddingg wont be happening anyway

new needlepoint - i want to live here so fucking bad

this is wiehler needlepoint 2317 "es klappert die mühle am rauschenden bach" (the mill rattles by the rushing brook), which i actually just now learned is named after a german children's song - its pretty cute!

i was gonna put the process pics at the end of the rant but then the rant ended up too long so here they are at the beginning, i also added the dates each picture was taken =)

this is my first wiehler needlepoint out of 5 i got from the mentors at the embroidery workshop (originally 4 but i got another one just this week), FOR FREE, which is crazy to think about since the kits for these things arent that cheap to buy, but they gave them to me bc they were just sitting around with no one planning to actually make them

needlepoint used to be more popular over here back in ye olden days and it even used to be taught in home ec class, so both my grandmas, mom and even DAD used to make them in school, which i never knew about bc by the time i was going to school home ec classes were long gone from the curriculum, which sucks because it would have been awesome to learn stuff like this as a kid

out of the 5 kits i got, this was the smallest so i decided to do it first, the rest of them get progressively bigger and bigger until the last one which is kind of mind bogglingly huge, will i really be able to finish all of these? im honestly not sure, but i dont mind the idea of having something to work on that could take me my whole life (or like, 5 years)

these needlepoints are also different from the ones ive done up til now cause instead of the picture being printed onto the cloth, here you get an empty cloth with only counting squares printed on it and you need to follow the pattern from a paper, which i already got practice for by working on that llama cross stitch and got used to with no problem

there was one thing though, this is the only kit out of the 5 that didnt actually have the standard cloth with the squares on it (there was also some string missing, so i think the thing is that someone else had already made this kit before and what i got was the leftovers), bc of that i simply bought some new needlepoint cloth and drew the squares on myself, which led to....

honey i shrunk the needlepoint, SO YOU SEE THE THING IS, i didnt check what the squares on the cloth i did get for the other kits actually looked like, i simply assumed the squares would be normal 10x10 squares like in the picture, so thats what i drew by hand, but theyre actually supposed to be 20x20, and youre supposed to do a specific stitch called gobelin stitch where 2x2 of space is considered 1 stitch, idk if im explaining any of this well but basically if i had known this and done it correctly the finished work would have been pretty much the same size as the pattern on the picture

i know all of this now and the next needlepoint ive started since then will be the correct size, but either way i think the tiny one has its own charm and looks great anyway, its adorable!! im kind of obsessed with it, the green frame also looks great and ahh i just love it sm😭

it keeps happening that at the very end when these have finally been framed, i always notice one or two squares which i forgot to fill in, but i dont really mind it, and its fun asking people to try and find them🤣 (but dont bother trying to find them yourself bc they cant really be seen in these pictures)

i also accidentally swapped the two shades of green for the tree but the shades are so similar you literally cant see it, and i also ran out of the darkest blue shade and had to buy a new one, but couldnt find one that was similar enough, so you can actually see on most of the pics that the dark blue part to the left of the tree is a darker shade than on the right, but again, who cares, i just like jotting down as much of the process as i can remember in these posts🤣

Hello mama tacos, idk if youre actually gonna get this but, i have an issue that has been plaguing me for a while, and i was hoping you could give me an opinion (that is unbiased bc all of my friends are dead set on an answer just bc they dont like a certian person in this sitch (boy #2)) pls help me with making a decision.  Some background info: boy #2 is a boy i used to talk to that none of my friends or family like bc they think he is not good for me bc he asked to see my tatas a week into talking, and showed me his lil’ friend that same week, but i started talking to him again bc i seen that he posted a pic on insta with another girl and i got jelly, and boy #1 is my cousins best friend (that i both go to university) with and theyve been really good friends for a long time and my cousin asked me not to talk to him but ive had a crush on him on and off since i was 11 (im 19 now for context) and my best friend also has a crush on him. So i made out with boy #2 at a soccer game tonight and idk why. like i feel like i would have a better relationship with boy #1 because i genuinely dont think Boy #2 is mature enough to be in a monogamas relationship, and then what happens when he transfers universities? (we are both going to schools on dif sides of my country) hes fs going to cheat because im sure asf not going all the way to michigan just to fuck him. and then with Boy #1 i also dont know if he actually likes me or if he doesnt because he literally is too scared to talk to me, and i literally just recently found out that he doesnt hate me. but im scared of rejection and i feel like boy #2 is my only safe option even if its not what i really want, because i know what hes like and i know he likes me in some kind of way but i dont think hes mentally ready to be in the kind of relationship i want. and i feel like with boy #1 its just unsure, and i dont wanna put myself out there to him when theres a pretty good chance that im gonna embarass myself. and i really dont want to do that to myself. especially because he is friends with the cousin im really close with and i dont wanna ruin that relationship between them because of a failed talking stage. and i also dont wanna ruin my relationship with my best friend just because of a boy, and i feel like thats influencing my decision a lot rn too. like i fr dont know what to do, because i do like boy #1 , and i know my best friend does too, and that thought is really just stressing me tf out. but i also like boy #2 but idk if i like him in the way a relationship should be built off of or if its based on jealousy because i initally realized i liked him still when i seen him post another girl. but i also have this feeling in the back of my mind that i shouldnt be with him not just for the sake of my mental health and everything i would be putting myself through by dating boy #2, but i dont wanna risk the relationship with my family over it too. What should i do? Hi baby! I feel like you already answered it for yourself. If you’re having some many doubts about boy #2 and you guys aren’t even dating - then that’s a big red flags, those concerns don’t magically disappear once you start dating. I also think it’s important to not be jaded when your friends and family are telling you that they don’t like boy #2. Your family and friends aren’t doing it because of anything other than caring about your well-being and if that many people don’t think he’s good for you then I think it’s important to consider their opinions. Even though the saying is overused, there’s plenty of fish in the sea. You don’t only have two options. No boy is worth losing your mental health or family support. NO BOY. I PROMISE YOU THAT. If you feel like you’re willing to risk your mental health for the sake of some boy you’re not even sure about - I think that might be a sign that you need to take a step back from wanting to date and explore what’s going on with you. Figure yourself out a bit because nothing and no one is worth your mental health. When it comes to boy #1, your cousin asked you not to talk to him - is that end all be all - no. At the same time, you’re risking a relationship with your cousin over a boy. Do not EVER risk losing your natural supports to date someone. It’s much easier to find a new relationship/boyfriend than to rebuild already existing family relationships.
