I think their vibe is idiots in love, with an undercurrent of Jaehyun doing small things to care for Winwin. Guys like Taeyong and Doyoung are openly caring towards Winwin, but I think Jaehyun prefers that they have a more equal relationship (them being same aged friends is huge in the Jaewin lore lol). Also them being the same age is pretty important because I do feel like a lot of Winwin ships have a slight age gap and this is something that bonds them. I, too, think that their more mellow personalities and the fact that neither is overly touchy-feely is something that links them together closely. I think they both feel really comfortable in their commonality -- like you said, it makes Winwin feel safe with him. He knows Jaehyun will respect his boundaries and his wishes and his preferences and that he can just be himself, you know?

Since hc said jh doesn't like skinship, I wonder if in every moment of jh's shippers, is it jh who initiates the skinship?

It is pretty noticeable Jaehyun is not big on skinship. He himself can initiate touch, it's different: he is in control, he mostly uses his hands, not other parts of the body (he can hug and even cling to selected friends like WW).

"Skinship" is different from just touching or giving a hug when appropriate. Doyoung glueing himself to the back of Mark is skinship. Haechan jumping on and hanging off Taeil is skinship. This is liking skinship.

Jaehyun does initiate contact. He can hug (the famous JaeYong hug after a win), place his hand on a neighbour's knee (does it all the time with Woo) or playfully/teasingly poke/slap (games with Hyuk, squeezing Mark's cheek). At the same time, when Haechan starts to play with his hand, he takes it away, and avoids kisses being planted on his cheek.

The "most real" ships are JaeYu, JaeTen and JaeWin. With all others Jae initiates contact when it's needed (to show support, as greeting, during a game, etc).

Rookies times are an exeption, back then teen Jaehyunie clung to absolutely everyone.

It is not hard to observe how Jaehyun reacts to another neo touching him. He freezes and either tries to stop the contact or waits it out (for comparison). He doesn't lean into the touch, or shortens the distance to slot the bodies together.
