Seeing Alba's reaction was almost enough to make him laugh - but, Ross managed to keep himself from it and to keep a utterly nonchalant expression while he finished undoing Alba's belt, pushing it aside before starting to work on his pants. Well, that should stop him from working too much.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" The Soldier asked, his tone deadpan as he looked up at Alba for a moment before going back to work. "Go back to studying if you can."

Legs swing back and forth from where the male sat on a slab of rock, a childish tune being whistled from the raven, swaying a bit where he sat under the hot sun overhead. There wasn't a tree in sight-- Nowhere for probably miles, though of course there was a certain city in the distance he had just came from. Reckless as it was for someone like him in nothing but a green scarf, tanktop, jeans and combat boots...

Well, he was used to the weather here by now!

Ah, but that guy over there didn't seem like it... Those sort of clothes weren't very fitting for the weather here in Issium. While it probably would have been better back in Ignobilis... Those colors were so bright! He would've gotten in trouble~

"You look a little lost there, pumpkin man!" Rail called out, waving an arm cheerfully over his head. "Ya lost!?"

Bored.

That had been Crea's default emotion for the last few days. Lake was busy, Shion was busier and god, he felt like he was gonna scratch a wall from boredom. Why, the male would ask himself repeatedly, why were they busy when he wasn't?! 

Well, that was fine. Sick of waiting for his friends to have an open time slot, the adventurer took it upon himself to go on a quick trip to the town. Get some food, talk to new people, anything to relieve his boredom. 

Except the town had proved to be just as dull. There was absolutely nothing to do! Until-

Alba was back to his books. It wasn’t surprising, and to a point, Ross could respect the youngster’s dedication to his study - as a doctor, people’s lives would hang on the boy’s hand and depend on his knowledge, after all. However, to the Soldier, it seemed like the apprentice was taking his future job far too seriously. He could go through the night reading those books, trying to memorize things until he fell asleep, and the dark circles around his eyes were proof enough that, despite Ross’ scolding, the Doctor was still pushing himself too hard.

"… You really don’t rest, huh…" Ross remarked, sighing as he closed the door of the inn. He had gone out for a breath of fresh air, but seeing Alba copped up was almost irritating. But… if words wouldn’t stop the boy from staring at the books for hours on end…

Placing his sword aside, Ross took off his boots and stretched, letting out a sigh as he walked to the table Alba was using to study and, nonchalantly, got down on his hands and knees and crawled underneath it, pushing the boy’s chair aside to settle more comfortably as his hands raised straight to unbuckle his belts.

           “Keep going if you can.”

                                       And that was that.

Hearing the sudden rustling from the bushes to his right to break the peaceful silence as he made his rounds on the outside of the city, the swordsman froze. Kurogane's stance tightened, a hand shifting to grasp the handle his sword and unsheathe it just a bit.

          "Who's there? Show yourself."
