I’m so excited about this incredibly low latency RME soundcard to replace old M-audio 1010/LT I had that kept crashing while mixing/editing tracks. I’m geeked AF right now. Got a great deal on eBay and it looks brand new in the box! woohoo! I’ve been wanting one for years and now that I needed an upgrade, this will really reduce downtime and latency. 🤓 🗣🎤🔊🎶⏯⏺📶 #justgladtobehere #makemusicnotwar #musicproducer #musicproduction #musicproducers #magixacidpro #music #audioengineer #jamdemic (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLu91s5gxq6/?igshid=1re4xv35uyxjy

Anyone wanna go song-for-song on a joint live stream today? Anyone? I'm pushing a concept I'm calling social encroachment. Via social media, of course. #socialencroachment #jamdemic #minesinc #lovestream #thatsoundsperverted #livestream #thatsbetter (at Bradley Beach, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-CM4XLgdPG/?igshid=1kzvj0ljpl3o9

Kansas City’s Jazzy Jamdemic exports soothing sounds during troubled times
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — This weekend, the city begins hosting a streaming music series called the “Jazzy Jamdemic.”
The event is designed to help lift the spirits of those who have been isolated during the virus crisis.
You can fill your home with some of the best music the city has to offer.
The last two months have been a troubled time, and many know people have been feeling anxious.
There may not be a better cure for that anxiety than hearing and seeing some soothing, live, Kansas City jazz.
Beginning Sunday at 5 p.m. some of the best jazz musicians in Kansas City will perform six days a week from the Gem Theater, and concerts will be live streamed over Facebook for the world to enjoy.
U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver helped hatch the idea of the Jazzy Jamdemic to showcase sounds that make Kansas City famous and put some struggling performers to work.
“When the new week is beginning, people can get their families, sit around and watch some of the best music on planet earth,” Cleaver said. “And it’s the Jazzy Jamdemic! Coming right here in Kansas City, Missouri. We think we have some of the best musicians on the planet, and others think so as well.”
For the next six weeks, the free, live performances will be streamed over the internet for one hour a day, six days a week.
Performers want people to clap, dance and sing along at home.
The concerts cost $75,000 and are being paid for by the Jazz District Renaissance Corporation, Missouri’s Division of Tourism and other private sponsors.
To watch and listen to the homegrown talent nearly every day, go to: americanjazzwalkoffame.org or facebook.com/americanjazzwalkoffame

Been spending some time playing music on the street lately. Not many other places to perform than this right now. It fulfills this need to perform for people that I get sometimes out of blue and it’s both cathartic and therapeutic for me. I’ve felt this since I can remember and I choose it over just about anything else to be honest. People that don’t have this itch to perform will never understand it because it’s not their calling or bliss which is totally understandable. It’s not for everyone. I enjoy interacting with people on the street. Some of them miss experiencing live music as much as I do which is beautiful and human. When I moved to NYC many years ago I ran out of the money I’d saved up within the first month or 2, so if I didn’t have any cash for food as I searched for a job and a room for rent, I’d play on the street until I had enough to get a Felafel Sandwich at Mamoun’s or a slice of pizza at Ben’s in Greenwich village. I guess not much has changed except I have my own apartment with my own bills. I guess that’s the circle of life during a Jamdemic. 😂🤷🏾‍♂️ big thanks to @k_magic_keys for joining me on these recent musical adventures, too! #livemusicnyc #justgladtobehere #makemusicnotwar #artistswithoutlabels #soulfunkjazz #anomalyduo #streetmusicians #washyourhands #wearamask #onwardandupward (at DUMBO) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFcXxSfAfu9/?igshid=1wvccoo3v6w4g

Quarantine day 48. These bars are to keep people out. This is the view from the front door of my building. I see people posting these amazing images of the views from their homes. These are mine. I live in the 1st floor in the back of my building. Swipe right to see my view and other photos I’ve taken over the past weeks of sheltering in place. I never really looked out my window. It’s very quiet except for sounds of me mixing music, playing saxophone or the guys doing illegal construction work in my building. It’s a small building. I’m a full-time musician and I’ve lost all my gigs through 2020, but Thanks to the stimulus payment, I paid rent this month. I have no idea what to do for June or the rest of the year. Started applying for jobs and I’m still waiting for PUA to come through with that elusive follow up call to complete my application. Big thanks to everyone that has helped me out financially with on Facebook Live Jamdemic 2020 shows. I really appreciate your support. I’ve always felt like the universe takes care of me because I keep my heart open and do my best to help those in need when I can. I don’t have and don’t need much. I’m not a very material person. I live very minimally in order to live in Manhattan, play music and entertain people live in person which I’ve been doing since I was a child, but that’s no longer an option for a while. I’ve been going through these phases of bliss and depression for the past 7 weeks. Many artists and musician friends and acquaintances have helplessly died from COVID-19. Some times I feel like I can change the world with one note and sometimes I feel like the least productive person on Earth. It’s quite a conundrum of creating and consuming right now. Shopping feels like an apocalyptic survival survival drill. It safe and it isn’t. I live by a hospital constant hospital workers passing through my neighborhood. I say thanks through mask, but I can’t tell if they can even smiling back or not. Another conundrum. May is here along with that vibrant Spring energy that always fills everyone up with the positive energy of renewal and growth. I still feel that. After the Spanish flue came the Italian Renaissance.
