Nicki: Let's talk about what happened with Dan Ticktum in the quarterfinals. I mean, he came out very, frustrated on the team radio, shall we say. James: Yeah, and I had a chat with him afterwards. His frustration is justified, he only had the 300 kilowatts and the rear wheel drive in the duels when he should have 4 wheel drive, from what I understood speaking to him. So yeah, bitter blow for him. I think he showed marvellous pace yesterday and today he was looking on good form again. Hopefully he can still get a good result in the race. Nicki: Yeah, well, let's see how he is feeling after that qualifying session. He's with Saunders. Saunders: Dan Ticktum we heard you on the radio, there was something that cost you a better result today, what was it? Dan: The team just messed up what mode the car should be in and I didn't get 350. Saunders: Didn't get to do the 350 lap? Dan: We got 350 on the out lap and then it cancelled on the start-finish straight, so that's just great, isn't it? Saunders: Must be extra frustrating knowing that you always had the risk of not even getting into qualifying, that was eradicated, and yet still, here you are. Dan: Well, I've done my job this weekend, so, you know, that's just not good enough. Saunders: [You have] The next few hours to get into shape for the race and see what you can do there. Dan: Yeah, I suggest I don't talk to my team for at least 2 hours because I think I might punch someone. Saunders: Thanks, Dan. Nicki: You just can't beat a Dan Ticktum interview. I love his honesty. Are you guys gonna go and sit with him at lunch? Because if he's not with his team, he's gonna have to sit with someone. James: I think I'll have lunch with you guys.

Nicki: Okay.

James: So, no, I think I'll leave Dan to cool down a little bit. There's plenty of rain for him to cool down in. Nicki: But I mean, you understand the frustration though, he put himself in exactly the right position and didn't have the car to do what he needed to do. David: Yeah, but come on, let's be honest though, it's funny to watch, but the team are there when you're doing well and you've got to be there for the team when things aren't going so well. So, you know, I'd put him in a room with a mirror if he wants to go and punch somebody.

Ok I'm late as hell but MITCH EVANS FIRST DRIVER IN FORMULA E TO GO FROM LAST ON THE GRID (22ND) TO WINNING THE RACE HELL YES!!!!! Ngl watching that race was like a breath of fresh air, especially since most of my faves did badly in F1 qualy today. And Nicki, Andre, James commentary crew!!! I am living, my favorite sport is BACK!!!
