Sometimes I think about Jameson with Nanda and how he would have been content and never questioned his status and life if he hadn't lost him.

How the Jameson that lived with Nanda could never have loved Allyn.

How his grief and guilt and bitterness is part of the foundation of who he became, the person who could and does love them.

But he still loves Nanda.

And he would probably choose Nanda still if he had to choose between them. Or choose Allyn but feel wracked with shame for not choosing the person he "should" have...

this is probably very random, but the hawthornes. it is incredibly hard for me to imagine they're all from/live in texas. they scream "IM EUROPEAN" vibes so loudly. excluding nash with his authentic cowboy life. its hard for me to wrap my head around that. technically, jameson is somewhat half british, but like grayson? alexander? i have never met a single texan with that posh of a name, and their aesthetic just gives off a European aura, in my opinion.

Honestly if the Grandest Game is going to have a Grayson love story it better fucking be excellent because I'm not at all convinced he and Avery weren't the better match. I like Jameson just fine but I've never been that invested in them as a couple. I mean I don't want a rehash of the bullshit that was the brothers competing over Emily but yeah I also was Team Grayson and thought they would be endgame (and not just because I had shipper goggles on). The 4th book and the marketing for book 5 makes me pretty certain I'm wrong but that whole dynamic feels unfinished and a little forced to say that its concluded. The 4th book had highlights (rohan, the twins) but over all... i was pretty bored.
