Hello I've just finished up a lil re read of the prime override such a fun world that you've built however I have a question maybe I'm just being dumb with the timeline squigglyness but when jango tells obi that "We didn't remove the chips," the Mand'alor says. "After all, we're using them." in chapter 14 obviously after that we're in the early war period and now we're back in the present did anyone kinda explain it to obi or did he just go to bed and have to like parse that by himself, bc I'm pretty sure that no he doesn't know about the vode bond telepathic connection but he's getting force eldritch being vibes has anyone explained to him

Also no need to answer I just don't have anyone to freak out about this with bc none of my friends read starwars fic like I'm actually a big fan of not knowing things and having to wait for it to be revealed later but also I need to know if he's just spent the last couple night just like "they're using the murder chips but for what"

And well, let's just say even though I know it's been a while for us, since I wrote the whole Early War arc, it's really only been like a day and a half for Obi-Wan! He has very few answers yet, and full disclosure, he's not going to get them for a while! The reason is, as you probably saw from the Early War arc, we're kinda figuring out how Jango got to the Override step by step from the ground up. I'm not going to give any answers to Obi-Wan that we the audience don't have yet! BUT I do promise that we will go back to the past, and you'll see it come together, and when the time does come for Obi-Wan to understand, you will already understand how it works! (or at least, that's the goal lmao)

Again, thank you so much for sharing with me, I don't really have anyone to talk to about my work either, so I really depend on kind folks like you and people who comment on AO3 to let me know that my story's actually interesting ahahhaha So TYSM!!

I've seen a few asks and repost of the take flight all brothers au and it got me wondering if you think you might work on it again, I find the idea really cool and I love all of the art you did for it as well

I think the recent asks are a result of me reblogging my old Cody Take Flight art for Cody Day (2/2/24), along with a bunch of my other Cody-centric arts! So it wasn't due to me pushing just that art to hint at something upcoming, unfortunately.

While I don't consider that AU abandoned, I don't see myself working on it in the immediate future. I'm very, VERY bad at working on multiple story projects at the same time, and right now I'm still going full steam ahead on the Prime Override. And while I won't say Take Flight is directionless, and it does have a more serious underlying plot that I was hoping to eventually steer it towards (fully aware that folks who prefer fluffy crack may not like it much), Override is much more focussed, with many goals I'm trying to reach.

Other projects include two Valentine's Day arts that I'm cramming to try to finish before V-Day, a number of other standalone sketches/arts, and of course wary preparation for TBB S3 (all of which u can see WIPs for on my Patreon!). I unfortunately can't do all of these at once!

If there's ever a lull in my inspiration for Override, or I need to take a break, or I suddenly get a spark of inspo, maybe I'll do something then. But for now, i can't promise anything for it at the moment.

My favorite snippet of chapter 13 of TTTBU + a fun fact down at the bottom!

Her whole body felt like it was being rattled as the rotary canon came to life once again. She gritted her teeth to keep them from rattling as she attempted to lower the nozzle towards the target, letting herself lean back into Hardcase for stability. 

The blaster felt like it was a mind of its own as it swung towards the left and towards the floor, leaving scorch marks on the ground. If Hardcase wasn’t behind her she was pretty sure that she’d have slid backwards from the force of the canon. 

Ahsoka released the firing grip and panted for breath. 

“How do you do this for hours.” Ahsoka asked breathlessly. 

“Lot’s of practice.” He said. “And why do you think I can bench press Jesse so easily?”

The corporal made an indignant noise as Ahsoka attempted to aim before firing again. 

The spray of blaster bolts ran up the wall to the right of the dummy and instead of trying to use her arms to direct the blaster fire, she shifted her hips and feet to angle, something she thought she’d seen Hardcase do on the battle field. 

The line of blaster bottles cut into the dummy and she stopped moving as the dummy was decimated by the rotary canon. She released the firing grip as her arms shook. 

Before she could drop the canon, Hardcase reached down with one hand to catch the grip. 

Ahsoka tilted her head back against his chest to look up at his face. He had a wide smile and his other hand shook her shoulder.

“Nice job! You actually hit the target!”

Ok fun fact time! This specific scene of Hardcase teaching Ahsoka how to use his Z-6 was actually one of the original and first scenes I thought up when I was just beginning to dream up this fic! The idea for it to be a group training came later and originally this was just going to be a one shot for Hardcase and Ahsoka, however I adapted it to this fic with he group and I am so glad I did!

“However the legend of Jesawa Norda and Quilla Arbosta is an example that the solution to an issue might not be the obvious one, and should encourage us to think outside of what most would call normal, for there are many paths within the Force, even if we can’t always see them at first.” 

The group of troopers were quiet as she finished the legend. Anakin had a thoughtful look on his face as he continued to roll a long stick in the fire.
