werewolf and vampire jayvik, yes, but viktor is the werewolf and jayce is the vampire. that’s the only way to do it imo. viktor’s the one with the allegory of becoming effectively an inhuman monster against his will, something that he hides and has no control over, and jayce is the one who has all the sexy romantic vampire angst of loving people to the utter edge of ethicality and an insatiable sort of hunger to possess what he loves. does this make sense??

Viktor dog ears his books, Jayce has an absurd amount of bookmarks. Jayce tries to get Viktor to use book marks but he says he “doesn’t see the point in them, look at how easy and effective this is” and Jayce makes a sound like Viktor slapped him.

We overlook the fact that the people in the commune not only guided Jayce so he could meet Viktor and let him enter with his weapon, but they also smiled at him the same way Jayce remembers Vik smiling in his memory before shooting him moments later 🫠

As we know, in the ending of arcane we were meant to think that Jayce and Viktor were dead. But after these leaks it really got me thinking about what actually happened to them.

In the leaks, we can see that the same bubble looking anomaly that formed over Ekko when he traveled formed over Jayce and Viktor. We can make an assumption that Jayce and Viktor traveled out of the void that the arcane created to somewhere else.

In theory, this would make perfect sense, but I'm curious about their mortal bodies. Both their bodies got sucked into the rune and the rune seemed to just destroy itself. Did their bodies get destroyed? Or did their bodies just travel elsewhere?

Going back to Ekko, from what we know there needs to be a body for a 'soul' to travel into.

But with Jayce, he didn't need his other body to travel into; he kept his same body. I feel like the arcane's time traveling isn't something that's set in stone; it's something that changes and adapts. Just like how the hexcore adapted to Viktor's blood/body; it's completely unreliable and unpredictable.

Going back to what I said previously, I think that either Jayce and Viktor traveled to a different universe or their 'souls' merged together in the arcane. If Viktor and Jayce did time travel, I would like to hope that they'd be lucky enough to have their healed bodies from the arcane since the arcane's traveling abilities seem to constantly change.

hi! after harry lloyd's words about his favorite jayvik headcanon (yes, sorry, guys, it's still just his headcanon), there was a wave of arts and fanfics about pregnant jayce (very rarely) and viktor (more often).

i have something to say about it.

first, i really find it weird to see pregnancy hypersexualized. especially male pregnancy. objectifying it is not a good idea.

second, it's also weird that it's always viktor who is carrying a child, but... let's be honest, getting pregnant with his health would be suicide.

third, the fact that people use the word ‘mom’/‘sunscreen momma’/‘anything else momma’, etc. for one of the men. no. they are both fathers. period. they. are. both. fathers. no need to shove stereotypes and heteronormativity where there is no place for it. even as a joke.

i know that many will disagree with me, but i want to say right away that i have no desire to explain my point of view, responding to hate comments, so you don’t even have to bother. stay healthy, love your food and be safe 🧃🫂🖍️

Okay but are we talking about how at the end of Act 2 Viktor has achieved his “evolution” and now Jayce is the “disabled” one with the leg brace. And how that role reversal parallels how they were during act 2 of season 1 where Jayce was ascending to counselor and was this “perfect” figure?? And now it’s Viktor as the herald?

I think I really like the “they’re codependent as fuck and in any other context this would be extremely unhealthy and deeply concerning but they’ve been through so much just let them have it because they’d destroy themselves if not everything around them without eachother” dynamic because A it’s so beautiful in such a tragic way and usually built on great world building and character arch’s

C: some part of me desperately wants that connection because I’m deeply chronically lonely and struggle a lot with long term human connection and interaction. And by loving these pairings I get to somehow experience it to some extent

Context; I’m trying not to cry about random things because I’m emotional over Jayvik and the horrible tragedy of their arch and how deeply lonely arcane the story is “connected loneliness” as I described it once and the sickening love they both hold in eachother in a way they can only contain by both carrying it

Alright, time for some little gremlin Jayvik headcanons that will probably amuse only me:

Viktor ships Thor/Loki. Come on, big, beautiful man with a heart of gold and a hammer has an intense relationship with a stunted, orphaned, underestimated twink with an affinity for magic. It's even deliciously Problematic™ so he's Definitely Not projecting because he's an asshole, but a Nice asshole whereas Loki is just an asshole. It's Different Okay? But also it makes him grateful that he and Jayce were not raised as brothers because... Yikes. That would get So Messy So Fast.

Jayce thought he would like this movie more, but is perpetually annoyed that the prop hammers do not have proper momentum due to being too light. He gets distracted designing better versions or theorizing about a kind of conductive metal the hammer could be made out of. He does always look up for any scene with Loki though, something about the slightly malnourished look he has...

Viktor also approves of Entrapdak. No, it's not just because Hordak is also disabled and has a partner who could bend him in half over the lab table while calculating the exact volume of- ahem, nevermind. It's also peak monsterfucker, you get to choose who the monster is! Jayce loves She-Ra and will watch any episode any time for any reason. He's surprised Viktor took to it so well, but has decided for his own safety that he will not glance at whatever Viktor's eagerly reading on his phone after every episode. It's... It's best he not know, he feels.

The media they both adore is Phantom of the Opera though, Jayce even a little bit more than Viktor. Viktor finds Erik somewhat histrionic, but Jayce adores Christine's heroic struggle between conflicting desires. She's drawn to the music of the night, like a moth to the flame, but she still wants to be the person she thought she was, to be a diva soprano and a part of the Parisian cultural scene. His heart aches every time she kisses Erik at the end and he always wishes he wouldn't tell her to go. He could have sworn Viktor dabbed his eyes once or twice too.

I’ll be honest, one of my favorite post-cannon Jayvik tropes is when they’re touch language switches and Viktor now tries to touch Jayce all the time and Jayce actively avoids Viktors personal space and shys away (/ possibly flinching away) from touch, because he thinks that’s what Viktor likes/wants and Viktor takes that as a new form of rejection, especially if Jayce “avoids” him by busying himself so he’s not hovering over Viktor 24/7 and Viktor thinks he’s scared of him now.

After shooting Viktor and him being on the ground, we see this Jayce, with half of his face still looking up where Vik was seconds before, and the other half looking up front, to the floor perhaps. Jayce didn't want to see Viktor's dead body (? Was he still fighting the timelines and realities overlapping in his head?

Absolutely tragic headcanon warning, but I think this is what went wrong the first time. I think what Jayce saw in the old!Viktor timeline is exactly what happens if Jayce had followed him.

If Jayce doesn't shoot Viktor as the herald, then maybe Viktor dies trying to cure Warwick, or maybe he ascends unimpeded. Maybe by the time he ascends, it's too late for Jayce to stop him, maybe Jayce didn't even try, because he's always believed in Viktor, always trusted him, especially with the hard decisions. Jayce is the only person at the eye of the storm with him and Jayce doesn't die fighting, he dies kneeling. And Viktor learns too late that blind faith is dangerous too. And that love, real love, is not the absence of doubt, but the room for it and trust too.

So Viktor asks him to doubt, to interrupt, even though it will hurt them both. Because only through that pain can they arrive where they wanted to go.

everyone's saying that jayce fumbled viktor but i think they fumbled each other tbh. like yes jayce is crazy for not locking that down sooner and destroying the hexcore like he promised but he was all over that man when he woke up talking about how his place was by his side. viktor could have had a new apostle just like that i fully believe that jayce wouldve followed him all the way to zaun if he let him

There are two kinds of people, separated by the way they dealing with heart shuttering break up:

jayce enduring a symbolic rendition of viktor's trauma is so painful and so, so clever.

being stricken down and immobilized through sheer accident or, in viktor's case, a cruelly random quirk that caused his disability.

then physically dragging himself from the lowest level of zaun to piltover, much like how viktor spent his youth reaching toward the promise piltover offered, but only if he could "pull himself up by the boot straps" and get there on his own. socioeconomic forces working against him be damned.

i appreciate arcane reminding us of viktor's origins - the reason he is so called to help people and, eventually, save himself - and putting jayce through the ringer - the contrast between he and viktor's lived experiences is front and center throughout season 1. the writers send jayce, and the audience, on a grueling journey to contemplate those experiences and how they've manifested in these intertwined characters.
