Winter season 2020
So the winter season has started and again I'm back with my new years resolution to watch more Anime (just like last year and hey that went well...). At first I wasn't really looking forward to this season, but now that I started watching I'm really liking the ones I picked so far.
Tumblr media
Haikyuu!! To the Top: Whew I'm so hyped and happy that the volleyball idiots are back. It feels like an eternity has passed since season 3 aired. As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm not that much in the new look they decided to give the characters. But still I'm loving it so far and the episodes feel too short, definetely one of my Highlights this season.
Natsunagu!: I was really drawn to the artstyle in the picture, but the thing with these kind of anime is that there is usually a 50% chance it's really boring. It surprised me that the episodes are just about 5 minutes but the colours are really pretty. It's soft and nice and I'm curious what the story will bring.
Eizouken ni wa Te o Dasu na!: Probably my second highlight. I didn't expect that much but wow it blew me away. Everything about this is great! The music is really good and the opening is catchy, the artstyle is gorgeous and the animation is good, I really like the characters and the way the story is told. I totally recommend this to everyone, cause it's awesome!
Tumblr media
Koisuru Asteroid: I smell so much gay in this one. I honestly just liked the title and yeah I got spacey moe girls that are so friggin gay that no one can deny it. If this ends in just queerbaiting I'll flip the fucking table. That's about it. It's cute and some light stuff to watch if you don't want to have to think much. Also... gay.
Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun: This is much better than I expected. It's nothing heavy or deep but I'm really into the artstyle and animation, I like the character design of the main character, who is so cute by the way, also it seems to be a theme I like. Supernatural/Yokai stuff is my kind of thing.
Heya Camp△: Yeah the Anime with the opening that sounds like a Jackson 5 song and that actually made me want to leave my house and go camping is back with another season. I'm a bit disappointed that it's just short episodes but anyway how could I complain. This is sweet, fluffy, moe content and I'm totally in for it.
Tumblr media
Housekisho Richard-shi no Nazo Kantei: This is actually more interesting than I expected it to be. From the cover alone I would've guessed it's a shonen-ai anime but well as it seems it's more about shiny, expensive stones and the Story related to them and their owner rather than a guy falling in love with a hot forgeiner. But who knows, maybe that's still to come.
Chihayafuru 3: Started this last season and if my mother wasn't a huge fan of this I probably would've picked it up later at some point, but as she is so excited about this I'm watchhing it with her now while it's still airing. It's as good as the last seasons were and I really hope for Arata and Chihaya to finally get their shit together and start dating. God dammit this can't be that hard!
Kabukichou Sherlock: Also started this last season, but I'm quite behind on this one. It's actually enjoyable but I'm still stuck around episode 5 and have to catch up now. Which isn't that bad cause now I can binge watch all the episodes that are out till now.

so, Jibaku Shonen Hanako-kun
if i saw the translated title first or remembered the tale of Hanako, i might’ve had second thoughts before reading, which would’ve been kinda wrong because this manga is glorious and its artstyle is so fitting and incredibly captivating
also, the manga that is literally called “toilet boy hanako-kun” has zero toilet humor. zero that i remember of, yes, but still. at worst it’s yashiro sulking around stalls with a mop and kou getting told off for going into the girls’ restroom. it’s all mysteries, ghosts, exorcism and mostly good-natured bickering
basically, please read hanako-kun

"Why?"
This is my first time drawing the ever cute Nene Yashiro from Jibaku Shonen Hanako-kun, using my own touch of the anime artstyle. This is one of my favorite and yet, the hardest for me to make, as of now.
Maybe because of the artstyle? I am already used to Assassination Classroom artstyle, I guess? Then again, their animes were both made by Studio Lerche.
This is based on Chapter 71, because I still never moved on.
