Empires smp avengers au seablings 

Jimmy and Lizzie are a combination of Thor and aqua man they have a human dad and ocean queen mom 

Having kids with a human was a very controversial move from the last queen 

she met her human love many years ago he was a British man that loved to sail he was surprisingly respectful to the ocean at a time in history where that was rare 

The way he treated her reminded her of the days of her youth when she could go to the surface and be treated like a praised goddess and not as a feared monster 

when he died she was heartbroken and after many years of gathering energy she was finally ready to lay her eggs she put them as close to the beach they met as she could with out being close enough to be spotted by humans 

the royal family has a  magical trident that like Thor’s hammer can only be used by a select few in this case anyone with royal blood 

the queen died laying her eggs and a supervillain with a vendetta against the kingdom took the opportunity and tried to kill them so that the line would end and the royal powers could never be used again 

but two eggs survived one shiny and brimming with magic the other cracked barely holding on to life but miraculously still intact 

There aunt was put in charge of watching over the remaining two eggs after there mothers death 

she was unsure if the cracked one still had a living being in it but she held hope that it would pull through 

but even though everyone wanted both eggs to hatch they hoped that the one with more potential hatched first so they could be the heir 

And the shining one did hatch first and from it came out a very powerful baby girl with blue skin and pink hair she looked just like her mother but had her fathers brown eyes the kingdom celebrated and she was immediately brought to the palace to be queen 

there aunt ruled until she was ready and because of that she was unable to watch the second egg but she still had hope and made sure there was always someone watching 

But After much more waiting they gave up hope of the other one making it and left it there 

the aunt was heart broken and though she wished to takeoff work to check it herself she knew they where right and the thought of going back to the place her sister died was to much 

not to mention wasting resources and sending people to watch an egg so close to humans was dangerous 

Lizzie knew she had a sibling and was excited to meet them so when they broke the news to her she was saddened 

she would steak off to visit the egg ever now and then 

But thousands of years later it hatched out came a boy but no one was there to celebrate the miracle 

he found his way to the near by shore and because he took more after there human dad in appearance he was assumed to be a baby human 

And the next time Lizzie went to the egg she found the remains she went straight home to spread the news but no one believed her she was told that it was probably the remains of one of their many potential siblings that they didn’t clear from the area 

she promised to look for her sibling but tragedy struck her again when her aunt died she took the throne and she could no longer search for her sibling but she knew he was out there and hoped he would find his way back there her she swore as soon as they reunited she would be the best sister ever 

the trident is powerful giving the wielder complete control of water that does not just include The ocean but all water like rainstorms and the ability to fly by controlling the water in the air 

 jimmy was brought into the foster care system but ended up being taken out by a secret organization that sought to create assassins he was singled out because of he Atlantean durability and strength they didn’t know he was Atlantean but his inhuman traits caused him to be seen as a perfect candidate for there brutal training program

while going through the harsh training he managed to hold on to his optimism by remembering the cowboy movies he’d obsess over while he was in the system he would think about how they would face obstacles and eventually get there happy ending and comforted himself by saying that he would be just like them and have a happy ending 

he only knows basic knowledge since he was taken out of school and was forced to focus on training they wanted him to be stupid obedient and not ask questions 

he was always ignored and tried to fill the silence with noise with added bonus of getting them to react on occasion 

he is way stronger than n the average Atlantean lizzie is still stronger though

when he got out he became the vigilante sheriff like his mother he loved being respected

 both he and his sister where recruited to join the team and they booth excepted 

eventually they realized they where related when jimmy was able to lift the trident after that a lot of things started to make sense to jimmy the main ones being able to breath underwater and talking to fish

I have created the most self indulgent MCYT AU ever

Basically it's a modern AU focusing on the DSMP 'minors' as they start high school. Except they aren't part of the families you'd expect :)

First there's Tubbo Monster, adopted son of Doc Monster. He used to come to Doc's garden to play around with the animals, but then there was drama with his bio dad, and Doc took custody

Then there's his stepbrother??? (you try labeling Doc and Ren's relationship), Fundy Dog-Labs. Who has. the weirdest story of adoption. Basically he's the bio son of Wilbur and Sally, but their relationship was always strained, resulting in Fundy often running away to Ren's. After a few years, things got really bad and Fundy ran away from his house for good, resulting in Wilbur and Sally both losing custody due to abuse (Sally) and neglect (Wilbur). Sometime during that mess Fundy and Etho got attached to each other and see themselves as cousins. And now Ren is legally Fundy's dad and Etho is his brother of sorts.

And then there's Purpled Craft, Grian's son. Nobody knows if he's Grian's bio son or if he's adopted. It doesn't really matter in the long run after all. He's Grian's son and that's that.

Also there's Tommy Major, the adopted son of Scott and Jimmy! He basically lives with Grian half the time though, mostly because he and Purpled are such great friends :)

Finally, there's Ranboo Beloved, who's in the foster system and is currently living with Gem Tay!

Literally the whole plot is them causing chaos, esppecally with the fact that most of their parents were known chaos bringers when they were in high school

Wednesday Reading meme Dec 7 2022

What I've Read The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance by Dorothy Johnson - this short story was interestingly complicated - there's a fundamental ambiguity to the relationship between the male leads that doesn't seem really present in the movie. The scenes of Jimmy Stewart talking to excited crowds were, as I suspected, invented for the film - I think they profoundly change the way that the Ransom Foster character relates to the town and overwhelmingly act to legitimize him as a good person and community leader, in a way that the short story is much less clear about. Also, wow, Westerns are just 10000% about the era they are written in, not the era they are set in, and that's really kind of fun.

I've actually read a fair amount of fanfic that is too short to log for this project, so, well, here we are.

Swan running with the wolves and getting stuck in a pit is just, so deeply not part of the scifi genre of problems, that I'm adoring the weirdness of the book.

Jimmy has reverted to his kitten-era Big King Cuddler ways as a senior. He’s extremely affectionate. He’s also a bit of a bastard man still. I used to tell people I had two and a half cats. “How do you have half a cat?!” they’d invariably ask. One of them’s half demon, I’d say. He’s mellowed out a lot in his old age (he’s 12)…except when it comes to his arch-nemesis Tigger, and dogs. He is afraid of dogs, but he’s also an ex-feral and can be mean as a rattlesnake when he feels threatened, and his partial Siamese heritage means he’s got a voice like a foghorn…so while he’s afraid of dogs, the dogs are all terrified of him.

Enter Becca. She’s the latest trainee. She’s new. November, one of our kittens, loves Becca, and Becca really liked Novi too. However, Becca got it into her head that it would be smart and fun to chase Novi’s bonded sister Fang around. Not like “haha come on let’s play” chase, but head-down, “I’m going to hurt you” chase. My mom and I verbally corrected Becca when we caught her doing this shit, but almost before we were done doing so, a black blur FLEW at Becca’s face like a flying lemur out of the Gates of Hell itself, and Becca learned the hard way that, friend or not, you DO NOT fuck with November’s sister. Becca steers clear of Fang now.

That was I think two or three nights ago. So with that background in place, tonight Becca decided that it would be smart and fun to fuck with Jimmy the same way. He SWIFTLY explained to her how mistaken she was, both with his foghorn howls of “You are about to meet your fucking doom” warning and the claws he keeps on a hair trigger. The other dogs looked on and looked away as if to say, “Not my business.” Becca once again retreated.

But Jimmy, feeling the pulse of his infernal roots, decided to go one step further.

He sat down in front of the crate that her food bowl was in so that she'd have to get past him to eat, and by that point she was already much too scared of him to try it.

Guess he’s still got a li’l demon in him after all.

Like the Invisible Man is probably the most "rapey" of all the Universal Monsters. The moment a dude turns invisible he heads straight to the women's shower. Do better men. This includes me also. There is a 24 hour Quick Check between the train from NY and my apartment so I have to pass it, usually while drunk which leads to bad decisions. Like when I bought a whole box of Entenmann's cookies and then immediately realized I cannot eat a whole box of Entenmann's cookies nor do I want a box of Entenmann's cookies so I decided that for every 1 cookie I would eat I will chuck 3 in random directions. So imagine at 1 a.m. a drunk dude walking down the middle of the street hurling cookies in every direction. That's called privilege dawg. So yeah The Invisible Maniac leans heavily into the '80s sex comedy vibe which means some harmless fun and by "harmless" I mean "problematic reinforcement of sexually aggressive behavior dismissed as humorous." "Oh no, Ned's gone woke!" Shut the fuck up, I'm just trying to foster a safe environment where people don't feel the need to cross the street and yell "here comes the cookie monster!" Listen, I live and breathe sleaze. I'm clapping problematic cheeks, no jimmy. If anything I'm actually pro-the-invisible-man-as-a-rapist cuz until men actually do better than there's no reason to not portray us as actual monsters. It's just that a) with my time spent under house arrest and new online therapy sessions I'm trying to better myself through accountability. And 2) this is all a deflection because for a movie with so so sooo many titties in it, God is it boring.
