i think its rlly funny which characters fashion/poser landmines scream ab being "positive jirai representation!!!" bc usually theyre either porn characters or the whole point is that theyre not jirai at all. like chihara from jirai wa nan desuka isnt jirai, thats the whole premise of the manga? the girl from "childhood friend who looks like a landmine" is a porno character whos whole schtick is not being jirai. yuimisu's jirai chan is a porn character whos an alcoholic and manipulative partner who does work in kabukicho. but u see "jirai kei fashion uwu" people constantly screaming "YAY ITS POSITIVE JIRAI REP!!" bc they dont have cutting scars. nah bro the point of the first two is that theyre not jirai, and the third one is a real jirai girl, which fashion/poser jirais think is "bad jirai kei rep" for being actually mentally ill and in the jirai subculture/lifestyle, which is... what jirai is.

then actual jirai characters are complained about with "stop stereotyping girls who wear jirai kei, its ableist and bad rep blah blah" like ame, yua, and any of the girls from jirai manga about yandere girls. they dont "wear jirai kei", they are jirai kei you fucking walnut lmao, stop bitching if u want to see jirai girls, this is what u asked for

anyways im working on a list of frequently overlooked jirai & pien kei girls in anime and manga etc (mostly overlooked bc pre-2020 and dont wear girly or yamikawaii clothes)
