Grabe ang init ngayon dito sa Middle East. Pagkalabas ko pa lang ng bahay, ramdam ko na agad ang pawis na namumuo sa katawan ko. Parang tinutusok ng araw ang balat ko—sobrang init, parang nasusunog yung balat ko. Yung pitong minutong lakad mula sa train station papunta sa office, parang habang-buhay ang tinagal. Bawat hakbang, parang dinudurog ako ng init at alinsangan.

Pero sa kabila ng lahat, nagpapasalamat pa rin ako. May trabaho pa rin ako na pinapasukan, at yun ay hindi biro sa panahon ngayon. Umaasa akong magiging mas mapagpasalamat ako ngayong araw—kahit pawisan, kahit pagod, kahit mainit.
