See, I originally was listening to the OST of VOEZ and maplestory for nostalgia sake the past week or so (also the music in both games are stupidly catchy),
but yesterday I pulled up the JnD title/Sandover theme because we were talking about music creation at work and I mentioned that it'd be stupidly easy to mix or sample it into any genre of beat with how basic it was

tagged by @solcarow to make myself in this picrew and post the last song I listened to
youtube
you caught me right when I was re-listening to follies… I love this cast album, they basically kept all the the dialogue between the songs which means at any given time I can listen to 2 minutes of 4 people fighting with each other and each of their past selves for a total of an 8 person brawl
I don’t know who likes these things uhhh @starlike-temperatures @active-mind-15 @bdor1995 @sinelanguage @corrose @corvuscorona @mewmewimakitty @randomidiocyncrazies @stuffandsundry @rotten-dan and anyone who sees this & wants to

Day three and the theme for today is Lurker. Lurkers are challenging creatures to draw. They are an odd mix of primates and frogs.
“Brutter got a fish this big.”
I really like Brutter. I really love the tiny detail of how he tries to be part of Haven City’s citizens by adding two feathers to his hair as two long ears. I was sad when he didn’t have a role in Jak 3, but I was really happy when he reappeared in Daxter for PSP. This sweet fun boi needs more love and fish.

Day 2 JnD Theme Week: Crocadog
Not much to say except I still find it cute to put bandanas on dogs ^^"
I was always frustrated that the crocadog disappeared like that, for no reason, between Jak II and 3 (even though I know that ND did in memory to their dog who died in the meantime) In the next JnD game (what? I have the right to dream), I want Jak accompanied by his crocadog (I have in mind Fable 3) Yes, for me, the name of Jak's crocadog is Morgan, like the dog of ND at the time.

JnD Theme Week - Day 5: Sages and Scholars I image Keira would set up shop in the forest at some point. Not as a permanent thing, but as an escape from the city. As she learns more about her sage capabilities, I would image the city would start to grate on her nerves a little. And, perhaps she misses the outdoor feeling of Sandover? She would still be an inventor at heart, despite her sage training. The zoomer under the tree is a prototype, made from green eco infused wood. It (hypothetically) would generate it’s own power without the need for power cells.

jnd eco week // day 1: eco channelers
for today's theme, I wanted to give a little shoutout to a few channeler hcs I haven't posted as much about!
Seem (light eco) - they have the fairly uncommon developmental mutation that overwrites a channeler's usual affinity and instead allows them to use light/dark; while Seem would technically be able to use either/both secondary ecos, the Precurian religion explicitly forbids the use of dark eco so of course they've only ever used light (and unlike Heirs of Mar they are unable to use the four colours at all). in terms of natural ability, they're about mid-level strength; they can use light eco for shields, minor self-healing, and to sharpen their awareness of surroundings and keep calm under stress.
Torn (yellow) - being from a poor family, he was never tested for channeling ability as a child, and the KG only bothered to test new recruits for latent green eco powers (since medics were always in high demand, but for the most part they didn't see any point in training red/yellow/blue channelers) so Torn doesn't know he has the potential to become a channeler and has never used eco directly. however, his latent abilities have boosted his skill as a sharpshooter, and indirectly contributed to many of the factors that allowed him to excel as a field commander.
Vin (blue) - also a latent channeler with no real training or experience (and his abilities are so minor that he'd be unable to do much even with proper training) but his affinity for blue eco gives him an edge working in the eco grid, as he has a passive awareness of the flow of energy throughout the city. he also takes blue eco supplements and is somewhat dependent on them (similar to a caffeine dependency) though his natural affinity helps keep the side effects to a minimum.
Keira (green) - has a moderate natural ability, and received lessons from her adoptive father throughout her childhood. while she never aspired to be a green sage or scholar, she's a reasonably competent healer; she could never match Jak's sheer power or instinctive self-healing, but was a far more attentive student than him, and as a result she has more experience and skill when it comes to healing others (an area where relying on instinctive ability is much less effective, and actively dangerous to the patient).

Resistance -- JAKtober Day 8 -- ‘Painful Transformation’
Jaktober has officially begun with the JnD Theme Week provided by @darkwarriorproject, and so for the first prompt I’ve got my girl Loor trying to resist the change into her Dark side, Lyra... it’s not going well.

NMIS leads 'Oplan Linis' of slaughterhouses
#PHinfo: NMIS leads 'Oplan Linis' of slaughterhouses
URDANETA CITY, Oct. 18 (PIA) -- The National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) led the cleaning of several slaughterhouses in the province in observance of the 26th Meat Safety Consciousness Week.
For the weeklong observance from October 14 to 18, NMIS employees helped local government units (LGU) clean the slaughterhouses in their areas in what is dubbed as ‘Oplan Linis.’
Dr. Cherrie Ann Javier, senior meat control officer and consumer protection focal of NMIS, said the Oplan Linis was piloted in the Lingayen slaughterhouse under the first class category and in Mangaldan which is under the ‘Double AA’ class.
“We reiterated to the LGUs and the slaughterhouse owners the proper way of cleaning, including disinfecting (of the slaughterhouses) to prevent the spread of diseases,” Javier said during the Pantongtongan Tayo program of the Philippine Information Agency aired live over DZMQ Radyo Pilipinas.
Javier said a stakeholders meeting was also conducted to remind LGUs, meat inspection officers, and slaughterhouse watchers of the strict implementation of the “no veterinary health center permit, no slaughter” policy.
In light of the African Swine Fever scare, Javier reiterated that “Pinoy pork is safe to eat” and that the Department of Agriculture coined the slogan for uniformity in every LGU.
This year’s theme for the Meat Safety Consciousness Week is "Karneng Pagkain, Sapat at Ligtas: Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita ang Katumbas.” The celebration also coincided with NMIS’ 47th foundation anniversary (JCR/JND/VHS/PIA-1)
SLAUGHTERHOUSE CLEANING: Dr. Cherrie Ann Javier, senior meat control officer and consumer protection focal of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) said the agency led the cleaning of several slaughterhouses in the province in observance of the 26th Meat Safety Consciousness Week.

Day 7 (last one) JnD Theme Week- Create your own creature
* * *
* * * For this last day of this very nice thematic week, here is a little beast that I have in mind for a very looong time already. I called it the Marmotillo: mix between Armadillo and Marmot *platonic clap clap* Thank you, thank you uOu Its origin comes... from a dream. I dreamed about Jak 3, a Terraformer landed (like at the end of the game) and there was a colony of these small rodents which fled by putting themselves in ball and by rolling at high speed So these little animal are inspired by: • marmots: like them, they live in colonies in burrows. Measuring about 12 inch, the sentinels are able to grow up to twice their size (thus measuring around 24 inch) in order to better observe the surroundings. • armadillo: for their ability to form a ball • also "wheel" spiders (scientific name: Carparachne Aureoflava) who flee their predators... by rolling!

JnD Theme Week -Day 4: Forbidden Uses
How did Gol and Maia test the limits of dark eco? How did they discover its power; their power? How did they manage to have their presence in nearly every part of the known world, between lurkers and spiders, between tropical and frigid climates? I think some of it may have had to do with them actively poisoning the land.

our first community week went super well, so here's a new list set for mid-August! all are invited to participate and show off your awesome eco-centric content and headcanons :D
———
13th: eco-channelers – some humans (like Jak) can manipulate eco naturally. share some of your favourite channeler headcanons! 14th: ancient relics – the JnD world is full of eco-powered ruins and artifacts dating back to the time of the Precursors. what are your favourite areas to explore? 15th: new technology – modern humans have found many new applications for eco! how do these inventions allow non-channelers to use eco in their daily lives? 16th: forbidden uses – what happens when people break the rules and customs, and use eco in ways they probably shouldn't? 17th: scholars and sages – there have always been people who have devoted their lives to studying eco, from the Sages of the past to modern-day scholars! 18th: opposite energies – eco can cause great conflict between opposing forces... and keeping balance is rarely a simple matter. 19th: a hidden power – show us anything we haven't seen before! :D
———
as before, this theme week is open to artists and writers of all skill levels! only have time for one prompt? prefer to stick to small doodles or drabbles? we hope you'll still join us! ((the only rule is that you must have created the content yourself– please don't repost anything you didn't make!– but aside from that Anything Goes)) use the tag #jndthemeweek to share your work with other participants, and have fun with this!!

JnD Theme Week - Day 1: Eco-channelers
So, this is late by several weeks (was for Aug. 13th - sorry @darkwarriorproject), but I guess better late than never! Moving has been stressful, so for the “eco channelers” theme I thought it’d be nice to have fun with photoshop brushes and paint some sages using their powers together to make some light eco. (Maybe they’re the next generation of sages in the world following Jak 2? I didn’t really think that far ahead...)

(Day 7) of JnD Theme week - Create a Critter!
Better late than never!
I’ve been super busy and have actually had the sketches for these rabbit/moth creatures lying around for over a month. ***Shoutout to my good friend redhairedfox for suggesting the Moth half!***
But, they’re finally colored! These creatures are called the Reneret. They are attracted to eco deposits in the wild and will cluster in areas where that color is most prominent. The main colors are seen far more often, with dark being found every now and then like a phantom in the night, and light verging more on myth than reality.
Miners have been known to use them for guides.

JnD Theme Week - Day 3: New Technology
Vin’s mention of, “I can’t help you with your Eco bill,” made me wonder what other ways eco might be harnessed. The Zoomers must run on it somehow; Jak’s morph gun has ammo based on the different types of eco (I’m assuming). But what about POWER CELLS
Having a universal battery seems like an idea civilization would have held on to, with some modern updates of course. shoddy poster design aside, haha Also are some doodles of ways the cells might be used.
