seonghwa was interested in someone, but he missed the opportunity to move forward and get to something more concrete with that person. their work, mostly seonghwa's, could have played an important role in the relationship, which prevented both parties from deepening the bond. seonghwa and this person were not able to see each other as many times as they wanted or would have wanted things to happen differently. I have the feeling that the two of them already knew each other before and he had wanted to ask this person out for quite some time.

So, right now, something hasn't gone as he had hoped. Maybe something he was working on. A project or maybe a situation-ship. Either way, it didn't happen the way he wanted it to. He's trying to put the pieces back together for himself. Working on himself trying to heal himself. Trying to mother himself. Maybe something like inner child healing. That's what this feels like.

It feels like when he meets his future spouse he's going to be completely thrown off. He could meet this person through a mutual friend or something. This is based on tarot and their current energy. This is for entertainment purposes only, so take everything I write with a grain of salt. I was asking tarot what’s their FS/life partners profession.

Hongjoong - non celebrity (four of cups)

They could have an office job, maybe work for the government. It could be something repetitive, that involves routine tasks. They could also work as a call center agent or in customer service. Based on the art of the card, they could also work as a therapist or work as the assistant of one.

Seonghwa - Both is possible (vii the chariot)

They could be an athlete, also getting dancer based on the imagery of the card. The chariot is talking about transportation as well so could be a pilot, train/truck driver, work in a field that’s dealing with transport. But could also be a CEO or entrepreneur as we also have the energy of leadership here. Their job could require control, so police officer or a career in military is possible as well. If I think about his future spouse reading I did before I’m leaning more towards athlete/dancer or a well known CEO/entrepreneur.

Yunho - non celebrity (xi justice)

They’re most likely not a celebrity. They could be a judge or lawyer, alternatively a detective or police officer. I also see some office jobs, like working for the government (I mean judges and police officers do as well lol) or working in HR or as a mediator. However, there’s also a chance they could be a politician, so potentially a celebrity. My intuition is leaning towards non celebrity tho.

The six of swords could be talking about a tour guide or travel consultant as well. With the two of cups, we have partnerships, so something like a business consultant would also be an opportunity. I also see a teacher as a possibility.

His fs could be an actor/actress or work as a performer or freelancer. I’m also seeing a professional gamer or gambler. If they’re not working in the public eye, they could work in marketing or sales. Alternatively they’re an event planner or travel agent. Something that involves planning of certain entertaining activities. With this one I’m also seeing an entrepreneur as a possibility.

Mingi - non celebrity (nine of wands)

I see Mingi’s future spouse working as a nurse or doctor, specifically in emergency or intensive care. But they could also be a social worker. Could be a job with high stress levels and dealing with difficult situations, so costumer service, or law enforcement is possible too.

Wooyoung - most likely non celebrity (five of swords)

First job that popped up was military. But not necessarily as a soldier at the front, more like someone in the back. Working on strategies or analyzing critical situations. Could also be security related. But they could also work in the legal field as a lawyer since their job is dealing with conflicts. However, there’s a slight chance this is a celebrity too, because the card also talks about competition, so professional athlete could also be possible. But based on the card imagery I’m leaning most towards a job in the military.

Would Ateez members seriously date a foreigner??

Seonghwa: He's attracted to foreigners and wouldn't mind getting with one but I wouldn't necessarily say he would date a foreigner seriously (honestly, he's not looking for anything serious foreigner or not). But there is possibility he could find himself in love with one, he would just be worried about how the relationship could work. Yes to sexual attraction. Maybe to seriously dating

San: Yeah he would. He has a view that "the heart wants what it wants" and if it's meant to be it will b. Sooooo, with that being said his cardinal ass will follow his heart, foreigner or not.

Yeosang: It's a no for rn, mostly because he just got out of a relationship and ain't looking for anything new. But it's not an exact no for the future, he has a positive view about dating a foreigner the only problem is his negative view of himself. His insecurities would get in the way of him going after a foreigner or accepting that a foreign woman wants him

Yunho: Yep, he's down. He has already been with foreigners (in a sexual sense) and he's open to the idea of being with a foreigner seriously. He has this logical side to him that would put into factor a lot of important things before taking a foreigner seriously (which I think is pretty realistic and mature) like language differences, cultural differences, which country to stay in (if they settle down) etc... he finds this aspect of dating someone from a different culture appealing just as much as it worries him

Wooyoung: Yes, only if he's the one that gets asked out. It would definitely stroke his ego for a foreign woman to go up to him and express their love/affections for him and he wouldn't resist them. I get the vibe that he may want to show his foreign girlfriend off or brag about her to his friends (kind of like a shiny new toy except he would have more affection/love for her if he was doing all that bragging). The thing is he may not do well in a connection where the foreigner doesn't know korean, he has no patience for such a relationship

Hongjoong: Maybe but sort of no. It's not like the idea of dating foreigner hasn't crossed his mind (or at least getting with them sexually) . But one, he's not looking for a relationship rn. And two, he knows it will be a lot of hard work. And he's not wrong, I see that being with a foreigner isn't in the cards for him, that a relationship like that would be VERY hard to maintain (it wouldn't be toxic, it would just feel like a 13 hour shift at a job and HJ worries himself enough about his group so he doesn't want added stress). (please bear with me this is the most convoluted question known to man, but whenever you post for asks I can't help but want to scratch my weird lore theory itch, sorry not sorry)

So, like, the chomer's got fancy magic powers, right? And there were those photoshoots back during Treasure where each member had some kind of prop, right? And we've seen a couple kind of appear in other mv's like the telescope showing up in Answer, or Mingi's lines all coming through the radio in Fireworks when he was the one who had the ham radio as a prop. And, arguably, the candelabra Seonghwa has in the photoset and then the lantern he has in Wonderland. (I personally like to think that there are a couple other magic pirate artifacts already in play and its just that whatever they do hasn't been relevant to mention in the diary lore or the point of the timeline we're currently at yet).

I was just kind of idly thinking about how Hongjoong had a wand in that photoset, which hasn't specifically shown up anywhere again in that exact same form, (and quite frankly how in the heck they would ever work a wand into an mv)

and then I was like 'a wand is basically just a long stick, how would you adapt-... wait a minute'

a cane is also basically just a long stick. That he has in Guerrilla and Don't Stop, (and I know Don't Stop is not part of main canon and its own thing, but I love how they just spin slightly different AU flavours of their own lore as it suits them, and the cane in Don't Stop is.... kind of significant in the mv soooooo)

so i kind of have weird theories on this? my friend [@pop-off-nabokov] and i were doing some Cromer Silvia conspiracy board theories one night and we realized something really interesting about trends in ATEEZ MVs and their themes in general.

so the captains symbol looks A LOT like like The Wheel tarot, a card that essentially breaks down the alchemical symbols of life (with EIGHT in the outer ring)

and then you have their entire last album theme The World

the wands could either be a reference to a 'of wands' tarot or the wand-like objects shown here in The World

and one of the big themes i noticed throughout Halazia is Hongjoong and Seonghwa play off each other in a theme of 'as above, so below' - Seonghwa is bathed in light and on the surface and we meet Hongjoong as Wooyoung gestures down and the camera pans downwards where Hongjoong, dressed in dark colors, seems to be a figurehead of a different gathering.

as for the lantern in Wonderland, well, i've got something for that too

so i don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that ATEEZ features a lot of nods to tarot and perhaps some of the artifacts may be related to them in some way. now if they're magic like the Cromer or not? who is to say. i certainly would love to find out the looking glass allows you to see through the dimensions or something similar, or that the staff/wand has the same abilities as the breakers or who knows.

and if we want to be extra ridiculous about it, well, i hope this is at least good for a laugh

“You sure you don't want to audition?” Your friend asked you as you both stood out in the lobby of KQ. 

You looked down at their attire, the number sheet hanging from their chest making something in you clench in sadness. 

“I'm sure. I'll wait out here for you.” You told them, giving them a reassuring smile. 

“Okay.” They told you skeptically. 

“Hwaiting!” You raised your hands in fists, trying to show that you were there to support your friend the best you could. 

“Hwaiting!” They repeated back, moving along the line to where they were holding some dancing auditions. 

You looked around the lobby for a moment, before finding an empty chair and taking a seat to rest. You knew it was going to be a long while before your friend would come back out. There were a few people waiting out with you seeing as they were going in groups. A few boys were talking with each other and some others were practicing their dance moves. You felt someone come to sit down next to you, causing you to turn your head to face them. 

“Are you auditioning too?” He asked you, trying to make small talk. 

“Oh no.” You gave a kind smile. “I'm just here for moral support. Are you?”

“Yeah.” He grinned. “I'm very excited about it.”

“Sounds great!” You exclaimed, getting happy for him. “It must be something you love doing.”

“Of course it is.” He turned to you, his arms crossed. 

“What about you? What do you like?”

You smiled bashfully at having his attention. He looked so adorable but that was probably due to his age. He sounded like he was much more mature than he let on as well. 

“I enjoy music a lot as well.” You told him honestly. “But I have other things I'm going to study.” You sighed, looking down at your shoes. 

“Do you like doing them? Do you enjoy studying what you are? If you don't, why study it?” He shrugged, turning back around.

“It's a bit more complicated than that.” You sighed. 

It wasn’t that you didn’t want to study law–there was a lot of things that really did call to your attention. But nothing made you happy like music had. You didn’t know if you were cut out to be an idol but you would be more than happy to settle for a producer. 

However your parents really tried to tell you that it wasn’t a guaranteed career. You knew they were right seeing as a lot of idols tended to not renew their contracts, but that was for a later time. You still had a bunch of years before you came across the ending. You didn’t want to give up on chasing your dreams. But there were just so many people telling you that other options were best. 

“Is it really?” Jongho told you. “You should follow your dream especially if you have the opportunity right in front of your face.” He turned to you, leaning down to get you to look at him. 

“Don't let yourself be the reason you never find happiness. Move forward with your choices and keep at it. That's how I got here and it's how I'm going to get there.”

You knew there was a point in your life you were going to have to give up and change for the better. Find new things that would take you to better places rather than holding you back in the same spot. You need to give up with things that weren’t in your mind from the beginning and start thinking about yourself. 

“You're inspiring.” You giggled at him. 

“Gotta practice to make sure the fans love me.” He grinned. 

“I'm sure they will either way.” You told him, knocking your knee with his. 

“I’m Jongho.” He stuck his hand out.

hongjoong/seonghwa: would date with no problem, hongjoong maybe would think about it a little but for seonghwa it would not be a filtering thing for not dating.

yunho: at first he might not want to but if he was really in love he would date.

wooyoung: wouldn't want to, but he could change his mind bit by bit if he was really in love

yeosang/mingi/jongho: wouldn't want to date a single mom but it's not like a 100%, it's like a 95% no... it would depend a lot of the person and of their relationship. but still, it would be very, very hard.
