🎲 All the love that we get is not enough.. people can only offer what they are capable of.. nothing more and sometimes that's simply not enough to fill the void and emptiness that we have deep within.. We turn to those immediate family and friends around us when we feel incompetent and automatically start expecting more, much more from them, without realising that they are doing the best they can and that filling our every void is neither their responsibility nor within their capacity.. as much as we would want them to rescue and shield us from our mighty distress there isn't much they can do as we ourselves.

Expectations -
I have decided to be harsh to myself when
I naturally or justifiably or unknowingly expect
Anything from anybody
rather than being harsh to those people who have
not lived up to / around / near my expectations.
I think the weight of our expectation is simply overwhelming and self implicated

🐚 storytime memory of my mother putting her hands down so that the little me lying on The bed spread on the floor could get a piece of her as the bed was too full with my brothers, to accommodate me too; crosses my mind a little much these days
I must have been a bit scared to sleep alone on the ground at start, although it sounds silly to me now... I vaguely remember she giving her hands and me holding it and going to sleep as a routine in those days of transition from sleeping beside her to below her .. the physical distance we fiercely tried to overcome with our arms..
And today as a women in her mid twenties, when I see me locking myself in a far away room from that of my mothers, in the name of the privacy that am entitled to as a young adult , Building bridges between my parents and myself in order to avoid hurting and maintaining harmony..
