i found a stardew valley character portrait maker (link here) which progressed into making Jules a lil profile!!! (template here if you wanna make your own) it was actually a really thought provoking exercise, trying to figure out what he'd like and dislike was difficult, but here are some reasons under the cut

Loves:

Pepper- Jules likes spicy stuff

Snail- definitely the type to crouch down and watch a snail move around for an hour or two

Duck Feather- since he spends so much time outside he definitely gathers little treasures like bird feathers

Nekoite- same reason as the duck feather essentially, also pink and sparkly

Fruit Salad- i think jules eats a lot of fruit tbh, not just because he's a big ole fruit himself. i think he'd like nothing more than chowing down on some fruit salad (yummy yummy)

Dandelion- similar to duck feather/nekoite, but he als just genuinely thinks they're pretty and loves making wishes on them

Honey- he likes sweet things :-)

Dislikes:

Beer- brings back the ~trauma~ from his childhood, also generally thinks it tastes bad

Caviar- he thinks it's gross and also doesn't like the whole connotation with the wealthy elite

Parsnip- icky

Seaweed- he hates being touched by it, it's one of his least favorite textures and deeply upsets him

Coffee- too bitter and icky, also reminds him of his dad

Pale Ale- same reason as beer

Friends:

Krobus- jules definitely loves the spooky little guy and finds him fascinating, he likes to listen to Krobus tell him about where he came from

Dwarf- Similar to Krobus

Bear- just like how he loves Teddy!!

Linus- I think they'd have a lot to talk about tbh, nature, simple things, living a nomadic lifestyle, etc

Sandy- I just think their personalities would mesh really well and they'd end up really good buddies

So @manbehindthemask was telling me about how jules sneaks in to maggie's room as a teen to comfort her and to avoid his own family. Do you think Maggie's parents ever caught him? Did they know about their friendship?

Ohh definitely. I like to think that Victor caught him once, told his mother and got them both grounded for a while. Absolute hell for the both of them, but they made the most out of walking home from school and I still think Jules found a way to still get into Maggie's room (all he did was just ask Lester if he could get into his room since his room was next to hers)

Also, Ambrose is a small town and people talk. Trudy was bound to know sometime sooner or later. Me and @manbehindthemask actually joked a bit about Trudy mistaking their friendship as something more and Maggie accidentally making up a fake girlfriend for Jules so she'd shut up about it lol.

jules brings jason to the frost house for the first time to meet his family. what goes down?

Jack and Suzy definitely wouldn't be the best about it but not in a bigoted way, I think considering he's their son in law that Jack would at least have the sense to keep any "Why does he look like that" questions to Jules in private.

Suzy however does kind of have that "seven year old seeing a person with a disability in public" stare. Her facial expressions aren't very telling though since she's had to practice having most of them anyway. And then Jack ruins it even further by saying some shit like

"Suzy don't be fucking rude don't make him talk about his chemical burns"

At the very least they would have the older kids do a picnic with the young ones outside so dinner could just be the four of them.

They'd ask Jason all the questions that they'd ask any of their kids partners.

"How do you plan on supporting and providing for our son?" (They know Jules' twink ass well enough lol)

"Where do you live? How much space do you have?"

"Do you plan on having children you need lots and lots of space for that you know!"

They would also probably ask Jason about his parents, since you know it's two families joining to one, making Jason the MOST uncomfortable.

All of this on top of the fucked up shit Jules tells Jason about his family like it's totally normal (the way the kids treat each other, the way Jack talks to Suzy, etc.) he probably wouldn't have that great of an opinion about them.
