Attention DMC Fan Artists And Screen Captors!

(Mainly those that don’t like having their stuff shared anywhere)

I thought I would give a heads up about what’s been happening with your art on the net. There has been an alarming increase of people stealing your work, using your work, or simply just sharing them without your permissions, and/or not giving credit. Mainly Facebook groups/pages such as: - Devil May Cry Spardaposting (That group is great, but there have been a lot of disrespectful and rude individuals popping up more frequently as time goes on.) - The Real Devil May Cry Unity (I used to be an admin in that group but got banned due to the one admin supporting art thievery. He also banned some of my friends that backed me up, or weren’t a part of the art theft quarrel.) - The Original Devil May Cry (I got blocked from that page. These are the same people that run The Real Devil May Cry Unity) - And many more... There have been some groups/pages that were understandable about deleting your work off their group/page after I would share a screenshot of your information stating that you don’t want your stuff shared. Other pages/groups would laugh react, delete my comments, ignore my comments, or kick me out/ban me. I own The Original Devil May Cry Sanctuary group and The Red Devil’s Chronicles page. In my group I’ve made a list of artists and screen captors that don’t like having their stuff shared, which is supposed to help keep me and others tracked on what we can’t share on there and my Red Devil’s Chronicles page.

BettyBattaglia: Uff... Let‘s say I haven‘t been a big fan of it. Hopefully the next one gets better 

JulieWithAxe: It’s been like 12 years since watched... i remember I liked it, and future in my hands is still one of my favorite songs

Nuxcia: It's really good and underrated ! You learn a lot about Dante's behaviour at this time of his life and regarding his depression, how the other characters such as Lady and Trish act with him, how he met Patty, his relationship with Morrison, etc. ... you should watch it !

Slingbees: I... Love it honestly. It's really boring but I kind of like that, and I love the music in it? I love the crunchy insert songs. My only complaints are that the art style is a little?? Ugly? Slightly. And the audio mixing is completely borked in both Japanese and English

Hails: The DMC anime rules! It's a nice peek into Dante's somber side as the only other look we got at it was in DMC2. Also, it introduced Patty. She's hilarious!

Kadaogan: Oh man, it’s definitely an early 2000s anime. HAHAHA I don’t believe it was ahead of its time or anything, but I DO think it got better with age? Memes? It has a nostalgic, almost-B-movie kind of charm. The music was also great—as expected of any DMC lol

Sparkie96: To be completely honest, I love it. I have it on Prime and the physical DVDs and I just watch it once in a while. Definitely hope they make a sequel or they make more seasons because I would love to see Nero, Vergil, Nico, and others in the anime.

AVAAntares: I was really stoked when I first heard it was in production, but ultimately I was a bit disappointed. Hospital ghosts? Generic horror monsters? Patty Lowell? Sullen, depressed Dante? Not quite what I'd expected as a follow-up to DMC3. I did enjoy the Trish vs. Lady ep, though!

MarquisAngelica: Every month I think I have to watch it... and forget about that in a few hours. That's all I guess. Maybe it's really interesting, but the first episode didn't impress me, and I can't make myself to watch the next.

BettyBattaglia: He‘s my all time favorite! It‘s a mix of all... his look, his character, his attitude, his story. He‘s a very charismatic man... in every way.

JulieWithAxe: Vergil is my favorite, I have always liked the more power driven, selfish characters, and his history is just interesting to me, with how different things were for him in comparison to Dante and how that made him be in the end.

Nuxcia: No, it's Dante. Then it's V(ergil) and then Vergil and Nero head to head. But my top one is Dante then V a few steps behind.

OneLittleWanderer: When I first learned of Devil May Cry, it was Dante, but ever since DMC 5 came out, it´s V. I love his story so much.

MarquisAngelica: Yes, he is. However, I like almost every character of the series. They deserve that. I guess Vergil was chosen subconsciously, because some of his character features feels similar to my ones.

Kattt: He is definitely my favourite, Dante is a very close second. Probably because of his personality, how he has this tough exterior but inside he’s just a little goth boy who wants to be loved lol

Hails: Vergil is easily my favorite. It probably has to do with how he fits into the Blue Oni trope—cool and composed on the outside, a total mess on the inside haha

Kadaogan: Yes, in DMC. He’s just so well-designed! What really sells Vergil for me is that he’s compelling /because/ you’ll probably never know enough about him—that’s just how it is when you’re The Rival. I think this zine will really scratch that itch to explore his character more!

Slingbees: Yep, but it's not very deep at all

Sparkie96: I do love Vergil. I like Dante and Nero, don't get me wrong, but there's just an interesting story when it comes to Vergil. His motivation behind his actions are due to "his lack of action" and his weakness is his humanity . He's more complex compared to traditional villains.

AVAAntares: I'm tempted to say a battery charger, so he'd never run out of power, but I Vergil would probably straight up murder me for that one. I think I'd go search their ruined childhood home and clean up something of Eva's for him, since he no longer has the amulet to remember her by.

Nuxcia: V. He is "part" of Vergil so it counts.

AVAAntares: I'm most impressed by his quadriceps, because he has to have thighs of STEEL to use those fighting stances (I used to fence & know how much muscle it takes to hold that position). But my favorite? Probably that little quirk just at the corner of his mouth when he almost-smiles.

Sparkie96: The hands. Especially when he's twirling the Yamato.

Hails: Eyes and hair, honestly. His color scheme is so cool

Sparkies96: The Highway To Hell is a bit less fun than AC/DC made it out to be.

Hails: There’s a way to be vague here, lmao. Vergil’s in it, I can tell you that for sure but the rest is a surprise

Kadaogan: Something to hope for!

AVAAntares: No spoilers but mine deals with what happened to Vergil between DMC3 and DMC5. There's very little information about that period in the games/novels, so it was really fun to extrapolate from the few hints in canon and craft a plausible scenario.

Nuxcia: Dante and Vergil getting back from hell and joining Nero... before getting back to hell to fight Mundus and to destroy him once and for all as a family before getting back on earth. Dante and Vergil will be working at the Devil May Cry together and Nero would have a happy life.

Elanor Pam: Alternate Universes. Nero gets Yamato-sharded into a Fortuna where Vergil didn't jump into hell like a dumbass! Also playable Lady and Trish from release and Patty as a summoner character

Kadaogan: A Bayonetta-esque game about Lady, Trish, Kyrie, and Nico, please.

AVAAntares: I've... actually worked out my own DMC6 plot in case I ever decide to write another 300K fic. Not sure if I should spoil it in case I ever DO write it, but basically it involves Nero, Trish and Lady going to the underworld and discovering that-- Oops, that's the character limit.

Kattt: I would love to see more of Dante and Vergil in the underworld and Vergil getting his revenge on Mundus. Id also have some awkward Vergil and Nero interactions when they return, he needs to tell Nero who his mother is!

JulieWithAxe: Related to DMC, no I don’t

Nuxcia: I read and write but it's been a loooong time since I read one... usually, it's on Tumblr and Dante x Reader or Dante x V. Recently, I read fics by rodeoxqueen, la-vita and an amazing one by lickitysplit.

AVAAntares: I do! Though I don't tend to read fic for a given fandom while I'm actively writing for it, so for the past year I haven't read much DMC fic since I've been working on the monolithic Children of the Future Age. I'll rec @writingsquid, In_Pieces, PrettyArbitrary & Moonsheen on AO3

Slingbees: I used to read a lot of DMC fanfic but my favorite has to be this 2 parter by namesonboats!! It's Vergil/lady with a lot of angst, a lot of steps to get to a place where the relationship is sustainable and a lot of characterization (NSFW in some chapters) https://archiveofourown.org/series/1482305

MarquiseAngelica: My native isn't English, and there in Russian community there is a very small amount of fanfics which kind I prefer. So I have to write more than read there. As for AO3, there's surprisingly big fandom for me here, and for now I just try to accomodate that.
