Jupiter revisits Gemini - May 25th, 2024 until June 10th, 2025!

See if you notice repeating themes from the last time(s) this happened [recent Jupiter dates at end, for those of us who journal].

Taurus Jupiter has had us appreciating what we already have, yet we also had the tendency to dig in our heels at the idea that we could change things for the better during stressful situations. Ruled by Ceres, Taurus takes on Ceres traits within whichever house She’s in: adaptation and survival of humanity, all familial relationships, nurturing professions, agriculture & animal care. Those with Taurus or Jupiter chart prominent will have experienced specific changes in any of those areas during Jupiter in Taurus periods.

This is a good opportunity to review these life themes:

Experiences of luck, vs lack; synchronicity vs. perceived failure.

NORTHERN CLUB '12-'43 TURF CLUB '43-'44

'05: The property, lot 27, block 3, was bought in Clark’s Las Vegas Townsite auction by J. F. Dunn, Super. of the Oregon Short Line RR. Salt Lake Brewing Company bought the property from Dunn in Dec. '11.

'12: The Northern hotel & bar opens 4/2/1912, bar on 1st floor, 15-room hotel on 2nd. Salt Lake Brewing Co. constructed and named the building. L.D. Martin, architect. Lon Groesbeck leased the building, opened the business. The Northern catered to men in the bar and the poker tables, later in the mid 1910s, “six wine rooms were established in the rear which ladies could patronize through a family entrance off the alley.”

'17: The property is bought by Cullen Investment Co, Fred and Nellie Cullen Leonard of Salt Lake City. Groesbeck remains manager.

'18: Dec. 17, Prohibition enacted in Nevada. The Northern and other bars in Las Vegas continue selling liquor non-publicly.

'20: Jan., Groesbeck leaves town after conviction and suspended sentence for violating liquor law. The Stocker family takes over running the Northern later in the year.

'21: Oct. 21, Oscar Stocker buys the land and building. The transfer deed allows the owner to sell alcohol, if and when it becomes legal again.

'28: Northern “Club” name now used, Fall 1928 (LVA 9/6/28).

'29: Vertical neon sign by Las Vegas Neon Electric (“16 ft neon sign will be flashing tonight” - LVA 8/24/29).

'31: Mar. 19, Mayme Stocker and Joe H. Morgan of the Northern Club receive the first modern gaming license in Las Vegas.

A canceled check for $18,000 to Stearns is found by investigators in a search of Siegel’s Holmby Hills home on 8/16/40. Moe Sedway later testifies that Siegel only briefly invested in Northern Club, with Sedway managing his interest in the race book.

'43: The casino is renamed Turf Club. Dave and Sam Stearns, owners. Hotel continues as Northern Hotel, on top floor throughout the 40s.

'44: Turf Club closed 11/44. Wilbur Clark & partners lease the club.

Oct 13 Got a beautiful butterfly betta!

Oct 15 Saw my endo and stopped at the lab. Dropping to 50 mcg of levothyroxine for the next week, then adding 5 mcg of liothyronine. If all goes well I'll stop at the lab and see her again in 2 months. Fingers crossed!

Oct 16 Lab results are as shitty as expected. T3 & T4 are normal and I'm just on the edge of menopausal. However, my TSH is 27! I showed her all the skips I charted on Google Docs on my phone.

Oct 29 Water was off today for a few hours and going off again on Thursday. Fuck this place!

Nov 5 Yes, Marie, we are truly done forever this time! YOU chose to walk away but you know what? I'm glad you did. I've had enough of your drama. There really are only so many times we can forgive the same people for the same old bullshit. I'm actually relieved to have Marie out of my life. I get that she's crazy and she can't help it but I just don't have it in me to put up with crazy. Haven't for many years now.

Nov 9 Sky took on a brownish-gold tint due to the fires further up in the state.

Nov 21 Endo's nurse called asking me to go to the lab. Tom left work early and brought me. This was before my endo got my 2nd message. So tempted to just throw in the towel and say fuck it!

Horrible news from my endo's nurse. TSH is 33. That's what I started with nearly 5 years ago! Endo wants me to go back to 75 of the first drug or take 50 of that drug along with the liothyronine.

Nov 22 Back to 75s of Levothyroxine I go since the Liothyronine/Levothyroxine experiment was a bust.

Dec 4 I’m 53 today!

Dec 8 Quick Update before I run out of energy. I'm still sick and Tom is coming down with something now as well. I'm still completely drained of energy not just because of the flu but because my TSH is still 22. Good news is the ACV shots have improved my cholesterol tremendously!

Joined Kindle Unlimited and really enjoying it so far.

Dec 11 RIP Dumbo.

Dec 22 After 5 days of BP monitoring, it looks like I could have stage 2 hypertension.

Learned that Tom’s mom died 4 years ago at age 91. Sent a piece of my mind to a few of his family members and Ryan and Jennifer wanted to add me, LOL. Best not to associate with any of them.

PCP says that because my blood pressure is good in the morning, just continue with lifestyle changes and forget medication for now. Hey, nothing wrong with being told I DON'T need medication!

Back with our 9-week-old male cinnamon-hooded rats, Fuzzy and Woody.

Stats a.k.a. The Boring One

I have been always fascinated by the boring numbers showing me what is the progress of my blog. And every 6 months I methodically published small part of them. On the 10th anniversary I would like to show you some more. I am not doing it to brag as I do not know if these numbers are good or bad. I do not have anything to compare with so literally I am clueless in the first place. But I would want to give some reference to others who probably also are intrigued in that boring niche. As my blog has been one of the most consistent with WoT content every day, the data can show how well the attention for WoT developed in these 10 years.

So it is very visible that the TV series did make change on my numbers as expected – having double and triple numbers than regular. The interest for the second season was not bigger or longer though. The first season peaked for 9 months while the second one only for 2. December 2021 is my highest record with 2,646 visits. For reference I had several 1000+ visits in previous periods but they are not as fascinating as the TV show period.
