Kremy is autistic. Because I'm autistic and I say so
This is a true fact.
Hey, he's autistic because WE say so, my friend. Here's a few things that may or may not be me projecting;
He will be making intense eye contact, because eye contact is professional and good. He had to learn the difference between eye contact and staring straight into someone's soul. It was the most difficult things he's ever done.
He has not been unmasked since he was like 10. He REFUSES to even, he thinks it's him being clever and adaptive but he's actually been barely holding off burnout for years.
Gideon accidentally fucked up a part of his morning routine once and Kremy was upset and thrown off the rest of the day. He didn't eat breakfast, he didn't plan, he was just upset all day. It never happened again.
His longest held special interest is, in fact, Unicorns, which he has had since he was really young. He finds it super embarrassing now and so refused to speak on it for a while. Gideon though has now learned way more about the history and significance of unicorns than he ever expected to know. Kremy also has a special interest in cooking (he is very particular with it too), and also, just, people. He finds people fascinating (from a distance) and watches them a lot, helped him with his cons for sure.

@knghtlock asked; "what did you expect after all that rain?"
spirited away sentence starters
Tumblr media
Head pounding, unable to think, he had nearly missed their aired remark, a blunt summation of facts that anyone could understand, let alone someone with his intellect. As he waited for his trembling limbs to subside, a partial picture began to form in Miguel's mind, starting with the lightning itself. He'd fought in stormy conditions before, and had confronted a few energy manipulators during his hunts for anomalies. But none of them had come close to what what unfolded here.
To what he had felt, first hand, struck by a billion volts of electricity.
"I wasn't-- near anything that could've attracted--" Speaking in short bursts of sound, each inhale a challenge as it expanded his lungs, his upper body had doubled over, appearing ready to drop like a limp sack of potatoes at any second. His suit had been a casualty, sacrificing itself to absorb the brunt of the lightning strike, causing crimson and navy blue illuminance to fade to a glimpse of snowy static as circuits became fried beyond repair, overloaded by the extreme amount of energy input received.
"Me pasaría a mí..." Muttering to himself, Miguel pressed his head harder against the heel of his hand, eventually expelling a snarl as more blanks were filled in, addressing Hotaru. "Since when have you been able to do that?"

brandon and i have been saving up since the set announcement to get three boxes of thunder junction boosters - one to open and two to draft out of while we wait for bloomburrow - and i gotta say, the sheer number of duplicates we pulled was a big disappointment
i mostly stopped seeing new cards after the third pack i opened; there was an occasional new card but 99% were repeats, even the prosperity post frame cards. from pack 4 onwards, it was pretty much the same 50 cards in a random rotation. we have - and i'm not kidding, we counted - over 15 copies of most cards we opened
we drafted half of the second box, then stopped and just opened the remaining packs. it felt like we were drafting the same decks over and over again, it was getting monotonous. we still have one box left and neither of us is particularly excited to open it; it's probably just going to be the same 50 cards again

Less of a headcannon and more of a question. (Gideon being a cuddlebug is stuck in my head)
Do you think Gid knows he does it, or is it a subconscious thing? Like his brain does it when he's experiencing a nightmare and seeks out external protection.
I think it was probably subconscious to start, like grabbing into a pillow or blankets just cause and not realizing fully that it helps calm him down. At some point he also started collecting plushies that people threw away or left behind, and eventually started cuddling with them to help him sleep once he figured that out. Hence why in that one oneshot they are on the bed already.
He never really cuddled with actual people that much, maybe a little after he slept with people (he's not just gonna run off immediately...how will he steal their gold if they are still awake? /hj) but when Kremy and him had to cuddle to keep Kremy from freezing to death, he fell asleep quite fast, like record time. He didn't bring it up because he didn't want their relationship to get weird (too late man) but if Kremy happened to be cold then, well, it's a win for both of them.
And also; tactile stimming helps with anxiety, so I imagine having something to hold on to and feel the texture of (plastic buttons, fur, cloth, scales, etc) would help with grounding after a nightmare or panic attack. Something he picked up over the years of dealing with c-ptsd.

ghost stories are alarmingly easy to spread tbh
when I was like ten I was walking back from the chip shop near my gran's house with a neighbour and we took a short cut down an alley which was enclosed by garages except for one part which was wire fenced and led to the electricity shack
and while I was walking I chucked a chip over the fence. the girl walking with me, C, reasonably asks why I did that
"oh, don't you know?" I say, as if I'm not equally out of my own loop
she shakes her head. the enclosed alleyway has no streetlights. it's after dark. the shack is isolated in the distance.
"a little girl who lived up on the court climbed the fence once on a dare. she went up to the shack and touched it, but there was a wire sticking out, and when she touched it, she got electrocuted and died, right there. if you come back in the daylight, you can still see the black mark."
[editor's note: the court was the smaller road off the side of the crescent, which was the one C's family and my gran lived on. the houses there were slightly more expensive and newer, almost all occupied by wealthy commuters to the city, where most of the crescent houses were occupied by retirees and locals who worked on the trading estate. naturally, crescent kids hated the court. houses there got bricked about once a month.]
"no she didn't," C says
I made up this story for absolutely no reason and with no plan, but I'm not gonna back down now. "sure she did. and if you go past on your way back from the shops and you don't leave her an offering, she'll follow you home through the streetlights. one flickers behind you, then the next, then the next, until you get home. and then the lights start to flicker inside the house. even if you turn out all the electrics before bed, it'll be too late. she's inside. and you'll wake up on the night and see her, and she'll be so awful to see it'll stop your heart."
[editor's note: the streetlights always flickered. this was because our neighbour monkey george kept setting the junction boxes on fire]
"I never did before and she never followed me home!"
"do you come down the alley after dark? or do you take the main road with the streetlights?" I knew she didn't use the shortcut, because I'd been the one to talk her into it that night. she was three years younger than me and scared of the dark.
C claims not to believe me, but she throws a chip over the fence too, and walks the rest of the way looking over her shoulder. I get to pride myself for the night on being good at scary stories, and don't think much more about it.
fast forward six or seven years. I'm back in town. I'm on my way back from the chip shop, taking the same shortcut home. ahead of me on the road are a couple of kids I vaguely recognise as old playmates' younger siblings.
they stop, and I watch one fish out three sweeties from the pack they're sharing. they take one each and throw them over the fence. they carry on walking.
I realise that this is probably my fault, as are any resulting pest control issues around the old electricity shack.
when I get to the fence, I throw a chip over.

Signs You Should Invest in an Explosion-Proof Junction Box
In dangerous environments where flammable gases or dust are present, safety is a top priority. Electrical components, such as junction boxes and control panels, must be designed to withstand potentially explosive conditions. An explosion proof junction box is essential in such settings to prevent accidents. But how do you know when you need one? Let’s explore the key signs that indicate it’s time to invest in explosion-proof electrical equipment.
Presence of Flammable Gases or Vapors
One of the most obvious signs that you need an explosion junction box is the presence of flammable fumes, vapors, or liquids in the environment. Industries like oil & gas, chemical processing, and pharmaceuticals often work with materials that are highly volatile.
Signs: Unprotected wiring and electrical components in areas with gas leaks or vapors can create sparks or heat, leading to explosions.
Solution: Explosion-proof electrical enclosures, such as junction boxes, ensure that sparks or heat generated inside the box do not ignite the surrounding environment.
High Risk of Dust Explosions
Another indicator that you may require explosion-proof equipment is the presence of combustible dust in the atmosphere. This is common in industries such as mining, food processing, and woodworking.
Signs: If dust accumulates in your work area and is flammable, it can create an explosive mixture with air.
Solution: Explosion junction boxes are designed to contain any sparks or heat within the box, preventing ignition of dust and minimizing the risk of explosions.
Increased Electrical Load or Equipment Stress
Tumblr media
If your electrical systems are operating under higher-than-normal load or experiencing frequent electrical surges, this could create an environment where components might overheat, potentially causing an explosion.
Signs: Frequent overheating, melting, or burning of wires or terminals.
Solution: An explosion junction box ensures that any internal overheating does not spread to the surrounding environment, providing a layer of safety.
Improper Ventilation or Environmental Conditions
In many industrial environments, ventilation may not be adequate, increasing the risk of gas, vapors, or dust accumulation. In these settings, electrical components are at greater risk of sparking and causing an explosion.
Signs: Poor ventilation, confined spaces, and low air circulation increase the risk of hazardous conditions.
Solution: Explosion proof control panels and junction boxes can contain and protect electrical components from igniting volatile substances in poorly ventilated environments.
Compliance with Industry Standards and Regulations
Certain industries are subject to strict protection regulations that mandate the use of explosion-proof equipment. For example, facilities that handle volatile materials or operate in hazardous zones are required by law to use explosion-proof enclosures to comply with safety standards such as ATEX, IECEx, or NEC.
Signs: Regulations and safety standards require the use of explosion-proof electrical equipment in certain environments.
Solution: To comply with these standards and avoid legal penalties, investing in an explosion proof junction box is essential.
In Conclusion
Recognizing the signs that indicate you need an explosion proof control panels is crucial for maintaining safety in hazardous work environments. From the occurrence of flammable gases or dust to compliance with industry regulations, these protective enclosures are designed to prevent accidents & ensure that your electrical systems are functioning safely.
For high-quality, reliable explosion-proof solutions, trust Prolux International LLC to provide the best products tailored to meet your safety needs.
