I don’t see anyone talking about the fact that scarab is likely based off of a junebeetle- they are even bright red with a triangular scutellum.

(Edit) I should add that this also could mean that the reason scarab never flies is because he has an awful sense of direction in the air

PUNCHAFER | Fighting / Bug type

This Pokemon is based on European June Beetles, while its counterpart Clumchafer (to be revealed soon) is based on the bigger May Beetles.

Punchafers use their Antenna as face protection, but they can also move them up to sense potential threats. Being an easy target for birds due to its typing, this Pokemon is always alert and will quickly attack and flee the moment it senses any danger.
