ATEEZ being jealous of their girlfriends

Hongjoong

Hongjoong paced the floor of his living room, his mind racing. His girlfriend, Y/N, had just returned from a movie night with her friends, gushing about the latest film featuring the talented and undeniably handsome actor, Jung Dongyoon.

“I mean, he’s just so talented,” Y/N had said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “And his smile, Hongjoong, it’s perfect. I could watch him all day.”

Hongjoong tried to smile, but he could feel the jealousy bubbling up inside him. He had always known Y/N admired Jung Dongyoon, but hearing her speak so passionately about the actor made him feel uneasy.

Later that evening, as they settled in for dinner, Hongjoong couldn’t shake the feeling of insecurity. He loved Y/N deeply and trusted her, but the thought of her being so enamored with another man, even if he was a celebrity, gnawed at him.

“Y/N,” he started cautiously, “you really like Jung Dongyoon, huh?”

She looked up from her plate, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks. “Yeah, I guess I do. But it’s just a harmless crush, Hongjoong. You know you’re the only one I love.”

Hongjoong tried to hide his relief but couldn’t help the smile that tugged at his lips. “I know. It’s just… sometimes, I get a little jealous.”

Y/N reached across the table, taking his hand in hers. “You have nothing to worry about. Jung Dongyoon might be a great actor, but he doesn’t compare to you. You’re my rock, my love, and no one can replace you.”

Hongjoong squeezed her hand, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. “Thanks, Y/N. I guess I just needed to hear that.”

Seonghwa

Seonghwa couldn’t help but notice the way Y/N’s eyes lit up whenever Lee Soo Hyuk appeared on the screen. They were watching his latest drama, and Seonghwa had lost count of how many times she had mentioned how handsome and talented the actor was.

“He’s just so… charismatic, don’t you think?” Y/N asked, her eyes glued to the screen as Soo Hyuk delivered another flawless performance.

“Yeah, he’s alright,” Seonghwa replied, trying to sound nonchalant. He shifted uncomfortably on the couch, crossing his arms.

Y/N glanced at him, noticing his tone. “Are you jealous, Hwa?” she teased, poking his side playfully.

Seonghwa’s cheeks flushed slightly, and he looked away. “No, why would I be? It’s not like you actually know him or anything.”

Y/N laughed, her fingers brushing against his arm. “Come on, you know you’re the only one for me. Soo Hyuk is just a celebrity crush. Everyone has them.”

Seonghwa sighed, still feeling a twinge of jealousy. “I know, it’s just… you talk about him a lot.”

“Only because he’s in this drama we’re watching,” Y/N said, turning off the TV and scooting closer to him. “I don’t care about him the way I care about you.”

Seonghwa looked into her eyes, seeing the sincerity in them. He felt his jealousy melting away, replaced by a warm feeling in his chest. “I guess I can live with that,” he said, a small smile forming on his lips.

Y/N leaned in, kissing his cheek. “Good. Because no one can compare to my Seonghwa.”

Yunho

Yunho had always been the confident type, rarely fazed by anything. But lately, he felt a twinge of something he wasn’t used to—jealousy. His girlfriend, Y/N, had developed a crush on Ahn Hyo-seop, the handsome and talented actor. It started innocently enough: a few comments here and there about his latest drama, how good he looked, how well he acted. Yunho brushed it off at first, but it soon became a regular topic of conversation.

One evening, they were sitting on the couch, Y/N's eyes glued to the TV screen as Ahn Hyo-seop delivered a heart-wrenching performance. Yunho watched her, noticing the way her eyes sparkled and how she bit her lip whenever Ahn Hyo-seop appeared. It gnawed at him.

“Wow, he’s so talented,” Y/N sighed dreamily.

Yunho shifted uncomfortably. “Yeah, he’s alright, I guess.”

Y/N turned to him, eyes wide. “Just alright? Are you kidding? He’s amazing! Don’t you think he’s handsome?”

Yunho forced a smile. “Sure, if you’re into that kind of look.”

Y/N laughed, not noticing the edge in his voice. “Oh, come on, you know he’s good-looking. Even you can’t deny that.”

Yunho couldn’t hold it in any longer. “Do you have to talk about him all the time?”

Y/N’s smile faded. “What do you mean?”

“I mean, you’re always talking about Ahn Hyo-seop. It’s like he’s the only thing you care about lately.”

Y/N’s expression softened. “Yunho, are you jealous?”

He scoffed. “Jealous? No way. Why would I be jealous of some actor?”

Y/N reached out and took his hand. “Yunho, you don’t have to be jealous. He’s just a celebrity crush. It doesn’t mean anything.”

Yunho looked into her eyes, searching for reassurance. “It feels like you’re more interested in him than me sometimes.”

Y/N squeezed his hand. “I’m sorry if I made you feel that way. You’re the one I love, Yunho. Ahn Hyo-seop is just a fantasy, someone on a screen. You’re real, and you’re here with me.”

Yunho sighed, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. “I guess I just needed to hear that.”

Y/N smiled, leaning in to kiss him softly. “You don’t have to worry about anyone else. You’re my reality, Yunho, and I wouldn’t trade you for anything.”

Yunho kissed her back, feeling his insecurities melt away. In that moment, he realized that no actor, no matter how handsome or talented, could ever come between them.

Yeosang

Yeosang had always considered himself a calm and collected person. He rarely let his emotions get the best of him, but lately, he had been struggling with a feeling he wasn’t used to—jealousy. It all started when his girlfriend, Y/N, mentioned her admiration for the actor Song Kang.

“Did you see Song Kang in that new drama?” Y/N gushed one evening while they were having dinner. “He’s such a great actor, and so handsome!”

Yeosang forced a smile, trying to ignore the pang of jealousy in his chest. “Yeah, he’s pretty good,” he replied, hoping to change the subject.

But as the days went by, Y/N kept bringing up Song Kang. She talked about his latest roles, his interviews, and even his social media posts. It was starting to drive Yeosang crazy. He knew Y/N loved him and that her admiration for Song Kang was harmless, but he couldn’t shake off the insecurity gnawing at him.

One night, as they were watching a movie together, Y/N’s phone buzzed with a notification. She excitedly picked it up, her eyes lighting up. “Oh my gosh, Song Kang just posted a new photo! Look, Yeosang!”

Yeosang glanced at the screen, seeing a picture of Song Kang smiling charmingly at the camera. His stomach churned. “He looks… nice,” he said flatly.

Y/N noticed the lack of enthusiasm in his voice and put her phone down, turning to him with concern. “Yeosang, is something wrong?”

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “It’s just… you’ve been talking about Song Kang a lot lately. I know it’s silly, but I can’t help feeling a bit jealous.”

Y/N’s expression softened, and she scooted closer to him, taking his hand in hers. “Yeosang, you have nothing to be jealous about. Yes, I admire Song Kang as an actor, but you’re the one I love. No one could ever replace you in my heart.”

Her words were like a balm to his wounded pride. He looked into her eyes and saw the sincerity there, and he felt his jealousy melting away. “I’m sorry for being so insecure,” he said, squeezing her hand. “I just don’t want to lose you.”

“You won’t,” she assured him, leaning in to kiss him gently. “You’re my one and only.”

San

It all began on a quiet Sunday afternoon. San and Y/N were lounging on the couch, a bowl of popcorn between them, as they scrolled through Netflix for something to watch. Y/N’s eyes lit up when she spotted a drama starring Seo In-guk.

“Oh my god, I love him!” she exclaimed, clicking play before San could protest. “He’s such an amazing actor.”

San forced a smile, trying to hide his irritation. “Yeah, he’s alright, I guess.”

Y/N didn’t notice his tone, too engrossed in the show. As the drama unfolded, she kept commenting on Seo In-guk’s performance, his looks, his charm. San’s annoyance grew with each passing minute.

Later that evening, as they were getting ready for bed, San finally couldn’t hold it in any longer.

“Do you have a crush on Seo In-guk or something?” he blurted out.

Y/N looked at him, surprised. “What? No, I just think he’s a great actor.”

San crossed his arms, feeling childish but unable to stop himself. “You’ve been talking about him non-stop. It’s like you forgot I’m even here.”

Y/N laughed, stepping closer to him. “San, you’re being silly. Seo In-guk is a celebrity. He’s just someone I admire on screen. You’re the one I love.”

San sighed, feeling a bit embarrassed. “I know, it’s just… I don’t like feeling like I’m competing with some perfect guy on TV.”

Y/N reached out, taking his hand. “You don’t have to compete with anyone. You’re my boyfriend, and no actor can change that.”

San looked into her eyes, the jealousy melting away. “I’m sorry. I guess I was just feeling insecure.”

Y/N smiled, pulling him into a hug. “You have nothing to worry about. You’re perfect just the way you are.”

San hugged her back, feeling a wave of relief. “I guess I can survive your crush on Seo In-guk, then.”

Y/N laughed, resting her head on his shoulder. “As long as you don’t mind watching a few more of his dramas with me.”

San groaned playfully but couldn’t help but smile. “Alright, deal. But only if I get to pick the next one.”

Mingi

Mingi had always been a confident and easygoing guy, traits that had attracted Y/N to him in the first place. As a member of ATEEZ, he was used to attention and admiration from fans, but he never let it go to his head. Y/N and Mingi had been dating for a year now, and their relationship was a perfect blend of fun, understanding, and mutual respect.

One evening, they were lounging on the couch, flipping through TV channels. They landed on a drama starring Rowoon, the popular singer and actor. Y/N's face lit up instantly, her eyes glued to the screen. She didn't try to hide her excitement; she had always been open about her admiration for Rowoon's acting and good looks.

"Oh my god, isn't he just perfect?" Y/N gushed, a dreamy look in her eyes. "I mean, look at him, Mingi! He's so talented and handsome."

Mingi chuckled at first, not thinking much of it. "Yeah, he's a pretty good actor," he replied, though he couldn't help but notice the way Y/N's gaze lingered on Rowoon a bit longer than usual.

As the days went by, Y/N's admiration for Rowoon seemed to grow. She talked about the drama constantly, replayed his interviews, and even put up a small poster of him in her room. Mingi tried to brush it off, telling himself it was just a harmless celebrity crush. After all, he had his own share of fans, and Y/N never seemed bothered by them.

But as time passed, a nagging feeling of jealousy began to creep in. Mingi found himself comparing his looks and talents to Rowoon's, something he had never done before. It bothered him more than he wanted to admit.

One evening, Mingi and Y/N were having dinner at their favorite restaurant. Y/N was animatedly talking about a recent Rowoon interview she had watched. Mingi, unable to hold it in any longer, put down his fork and sighed.

"Y/N, can I ask you something?" he said, trying to keep his tone casual.

"Of course, babe. What's up?" she replied, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Mingi took a deep breath. "Do you... do you have a crush on Rowoon?"

Y/N blinked in surprise, then laughed. "Well, yeah, I guess I do. But it's just a silly crush, Mingi. You know that, right?"

Mingi's heart sank a little. "But sometimes it feels like you like him more than me."

Y/N's expression softened, and she reached across the table to take Mingi's hand. "Mingi, no one could ever replace you. Rowoon is just a celebrity crush. He's not real to me the way you are. You're the one I love, the one who makes me laugh, who holds me when I'm sad, who knows me inside and out."

Mingi squeezed her hand, feeling a weight lift off his chest. "I guess I just got a little jealous. I know it's silly."

"It's not silly," Y/N said, her eyes full of sincerity. "I love that you care so much. But trust me, Mingi, you're my one and only."

Mingi smiled, feeling a surge of affection for Y/N. "I'm sorry for being so insecure."

"Don't be," Y/N said, leaning in to kiss him softly. "I love you, Mingi. And no actor, no matter how handsome, could ever change that."

Wooyoung

Wooyoung had always known that Y/N had a soft spot for actors. She enjoyed binge-watching dramas and gushing about her favorite stars, but it had never really bothered him. That was until Nam Yoonsoo entered the picture.

Y/N had been eagerly waiting for Nam Yoonsoo’s new drama to release. As soon as it aired, she was glued to the screen, her eyes sparkling with excitement every time Yoonsoo appeared. She would talk endlessly about his acting skills, his charm, and how he seemed perfect in every role he took on.

One evening, Wooyoung came home to find Y/N on the couch, completely engrossed in the latest episode. She didn’t even notice him walk in. With a sigh, he sat down beside her, trying to catch her attention.

“Hey, Y/N,” he called out, waving his hand in front of her face.

Y/N finally looked up, her face lighting up with a smile. “Wooyoung, you have to see this scene! Nam Yoonsoo is amazing in it!”

Wooyoung forced a smile and nodded. “Sure, let’s watch it together.”

As the scene played out, Wooyoung couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy. He knew it was silly, but seeing Y/N so captivated by another guy, even if he was just an actor, made him uneasy. He tried to shake off the feeling, but it lingered.

Over the next few days, Y/N continued to rave about Nam Yoonsoo. Wooyoung couldn’t help but notice how often she brought him up in conversations. One evening, while they were out for dinner, Y/N started talking about Yoonsoo again.

“You know, Nam Yoonsoo is not just a great actor, he’s also really kind. I read this interview where he talked about his charity work and how he loves helping people,” Y/N said, her eyes shining with admiration.

Wooyoung couldn’t hold back any longer. “Y/N, do you have a crush on Nam Yoonsoo or something?” he blurted out.

Y/N looked taken aback. “What? No, of course not. I just admire his work and who he is as a person.”

“Well, it feels like more than that,” Wooyoung said, his voice tinged with frustration. “You’ve been talking about him non-stop, and it’s making me feel… I don’t know, a bit jealous.”

Y/N’s expression softened. “Wooyoung, you don’t have to be jealous. He’s just an actor I admire. You’re the one I love, the one I want to be with.”

Wooyoung sighed, feeling a bit foolish. “I know, I just… I guess I felt like I was competing for your attention.”

Y/N reached across the table and took his hand. “You never have to compete for my attention. I’m sorry if I made you feel that way. I promise to tone down the Yoonsoo talk.”

Wooyoung smiled, feeling a wave of relief wash over him. “Thanks, Y/N. I appreciate it.”

Jongho

Jongho knew something was off when Y/N’s eyes sparkled a little too brightly during their movie night. They were watching a popular K-drama, and as soon as Kim Mingue appeared on screen, Y/N’s cheeks turned a shade pinker and she let out a small, dreamy sigh.

“He’s so talented, isn’t he?” Y/N said, her eyes glued to the screen. “And so good-looking.”

Jongho’s smile tightened. “Yeah, I guess.”

As the days passed, Jongho couldn’t help but notice the growing collection of Kim Mingue posters in Y/N’s room and the way she kept bringing him up in conversation. It gnawed at him. He knew it was irrational, but jealousy had a way of creeping in, especially when it came to someone as captivating as Kim Mingue.

One evening, as they walked through a park hand-in-hand, Y/N was excitedly recounting an interview she’d watched of Kim Mingue. Jongho tried to smile and nod, but the words slipped out before he could stop them.

“Do you like him or something?”

Y/N stopped in her tracks, looking at him with wide eyes. “What? Jongho, no. He’s just a celebrity crush.”

Jongho sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I know, it’s just… you talk about him a lot. It makes me feel like I’m competing with someone I can’t even compare to.”

Y/N softened, taking his hand in both of hers. “Jongho, you have nothing to worry about. I may have a crush on Kim Mingue, but it’s you I love. You’re real, and you’re here with me. Mingue is just a fantasy.”

Jongho looked into her eyes, seeing the sincerity in them. He took a deep breath, the jealousy starting to fade. “I guess I just needed to hear that.”

Y/N smiled, leaning in to kiss him gently. “Anytime you need reassurance, I’m here. You’re the only one I want, Jongho.”

My 2020 in dramaland pt 1/4

I’m doing this at the start of december but I’m scheduling it to be posted on Christmas Eve, because that way I can say to everyone Happy holidays! Anyway, these are the Korean dramas I watched this year (listed in the order I saw them, NOT including my favorite dramas, those will have its own post!)

Love Alarm (2019): I don’t think I need to say what this was about lol if you haven’t seen it, chances are, you’ve heard of it. This is like all those Netflix shows I binge in one day, hate them but still can’t help but want to know what happens next and immediately need a season 2. Btw, this drama has the type of love triangle that I tolerate the most: the men who like the girl are also BFFs and never actually turn against each other, or at least suffer because they don’t really want to hurt the other. Bros before hoes! Kinda.

OTP: Jojo&SunOh. Hate that I love them tbh. But it’s mostly all thanks to him. To me, KimSoHyun’s chemistry with SongKang is the best chemistry she’s ever had with any of her co-stars. Well, maybe it’s a tie with Jisoo. Sorry Jang DongYoon. 

Thing I enjoyed the most: Knowing there’s a second season coming. I NEED CLOSURE! Dramas should never have seasons, it’s cruel.

Do I recommend it? Uhm... Yes. But beware of old tropes like Noble Idiocy super idiotic, a FL that never speaks her mind and a whole lot of nonsense angst and pining. Hey, your average kdrama basically.

Crash Landing on You: You know she actually did crash land on him. Twice. I loved that they were so doomed, it was awesome. A forbidden and beautiful romance, they were all in for each other. He was handsome and cute I mean is HyunBin! but she was my favorite: brave, sassy, bold and a CEO. I hated when they shoot her. A pity they can only be happy in Switzerland, but I liked that about their ending. (I made a sort of review of the finale here)

OTP: Awesome chemistry, have you heard about all those dating rumors? But my favorite couple was actually the second lol. I will never forgive this drama for NOT giving them a happy ending. WTF? And that’s why it’s not in my fave’s list.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Apart from the love stories? North Korean soldiers from Captain Ri’s team. Bless them.

Do I recommend it? Oh, is there someone who hasn’t seen it? For real, go watch it. It’s a romcom for the ages. Lots of nonsense and cliches. Loved it, just *one* little flaw. ALBERTOOOO!

Witch’s Court (2018): A law drama. I never watch these types of dramas. Only did it because I had a crush on Yoon HyunMin at the time, my sister made me watch it (she also had a crush on him) and I thought there was going to be way more romance. Heavy subjects, a great mom’s love and a lot of prosecutor bs.

OTP: They were cute. Wish I’d seen more of them though.

Thing I enjoyed the most:  Yoon HyunMin. But the FL was awesome in her own right.

Do I recommend it? If you like law/criminal dramas and barely a hint of romance, this one is great. And justice is served at the end.

Hospital Playlist: It was an adorable, peaceful and relaxing watch, not what you’d expect from a hospital themed drama. Very healing (no pun intended lol). And I loved the songs they played! The weird thing is that I kept forgetting about it, and that’s why it took me so long to finish it. 

OTP: I do have one, but not the one everyone ships: Dr Yang SeokHyung and his resident played by one awesome Ahn EunJin. She confessed, he turned her down gently, Buuu!!!. Waiting patiently for S2 and HOPE their love story develops more. Dramas shouldn’t have second seasons!

Thing I enjoyed the most: The friendship of the five besties duh

Do I recommend it? Awww but of course! if you liked the Reply Series and slice of life dramas, you will like this one. Only 12 eps but they were as long as a movie lol

WHY (minidrama) 2019: Two good friends trying to cheer up their bff who just got dumped (without any explanation hence driving him slowly into a mental breakdown and an identity crisis) by going on a Jeju vacation. In the guesthouse they’re staying, they encounter two awesome, chill and fun noonas. What you’ll see here: a moving story about heartbreak and letting go, bromance and noona romance.

OTP: While most of the time the lead was in deep heartbreak thanks to his awful ex, there was a subtle romance developing while he was healing. At the end, there’s a time jump and he’s totally in the right state of mind to completely be with her and give love another try. Lovely ending.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Jung GunJoo! AKA Dohwa from Extraordinary You!!!

Do I recommend it? Of course! It’s an adorable watch. And it only takes like 2 hours of your time, maybe less, I don’t recall. Here, you can watch it on YouTube. Also, not really a fan don’t hate me lol but there’s Hwang In Yeob as the bff of the lead. And he has a very meaningful role.

Where Your Eyes Linger (minidrama): First Korean BL drama I’ve ever watched and I’m so glad that it was a wonderful first. Given the amount of time and resources I was expecting a lot less from this but they all did a very good job. Beyond my expectations, really. Wonderful acting and such an angsty friends to lovers romance that was delightfully done. I don’t usually give out scores to dramas but omg 10/10!

OTP: THEY HAD SUCH GOOD CHEMISTRY! UGH THE ANGST

Thing I enjoyed the most: Oh, everything!

Do I recommend it? Like BL dramas and want to see more of them in kdramaland? Then YES YES YES. A thousand times YES! The reason why it’s not on my favorites’ list is because I wish it was longer.

It’s Okay to not be Okay: It had been so long since I’ve seen a KSH drama. Since his alien days lol Plus, my sister is a huge fan. Horniest kdrama of the year, for sure. Which is hilarious since the message of the whole thing was more about family. From the first episode I was waiting for the OTP to have a steamy makeout and have sex HAHAHA You know, they actually delivered, so I was happy. My review about the ending HERE

OTP: Queen MoonYoung and her horny but super restrained caretaker, KangTae. Love them.

Thing I enjoyed the most: All hail Queen Ko MoonYoung! And the best hyung, SangTae.

Do I recommend it? Yeah. Let’s be serious for a moment lmao it was a healing drama and the ending was beautiful. A few things here and there didn’t make sense though. The mom’s comeback was crazy, but meh, what are dramas without crazy? lol I guess this is not on my favorite’s list because I wasn’t as obsessed as I wish I’d been.

Was it Love?: Mamma mia, here we go again, my my, I should have resist ya! it was ALL right there but the writer didn’t have the guts to do the story right. It COULD’VE BEEN Mamma Mia, but all the potential went to waste. THE POTENTIAL!! You want to know who the dad of her daughter is? The only dude she ever slept with, her only ex! Big surprise. The writer! There, saved you the trouble. My rant on the ending here

OTP: Well, it wasn’t the leads, that’s for sure. It’s the second leads (or was he the third lead and she the second?)who ended up together, or at least it was hinted at. The female lead had way more chemistry with the one dude she was never romantically linked to, which is hilarious to me. Ugh so much wasted potential...

Thing I enjoyed the most: Gangster dude and his son! Bless them.

Do I recommend it? Jesus, NO. DON’T. Watch Mamma Mia with Meryl Streep, instead. That’s gold and it’s what they wanted to try to do for a moment here. Still wondering how I managed to finish this...

Record of Youth: Another drama I can’t believe I actually finished. A handsome model transitioning into an actor and becoming the main provider for the family that never fully supported him and had to pay for the debt of the dad that always belittled his dreams. Underdeveloped characters, a female lead that was outshined by CAMEOS of other women(in her 1 minute scene, KimHyeYoon had more chemistry with PBG), plots that went nowhere and a terrible pairing that had very little chemistry. A ranting about the finale and my wasted time, HERE

OTP: who? Ah, yeah, I guess there sort of was one... The photographer friend and the sister of the jealous friend. Their ending was ambiguous.

Thing I enjoyed the most: PBG, he carried this mess on his back.

Do I recommend it? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA No. Please, don’t watch it.

Private Lives: An orphan who was recluted to become a spy and works for a conglomerate that holds the power to decide the next president of Korea AND a con woman who wants revenge because her dad got sent to jail. They meet and fall in love and it’s the cutest thing ever but on their wedding day he misteriously disappears and... that’s it. Everything that happens after that makes zero sense. By the end I was more interested in the second leads.

OTP: TWO (but mostly the second couple) and the reason why I finished this drama at all.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Second leads. BokGi and Eduardo (yeah, I know that wasn’t his real name). I’d watch a drama of those two. Even if it was by the same writer.

Do I recommend it? Well... not really. LOL If you’re interested to know more about it, read my “recaps” of each episode HERE or read about the last ep here. You’ll understand about the same as if you were to actually watch it, but you will not waste your time. I hope? LOL

Start Up: A grandma with good intentions, a FL that lost it all as a kid, letters that weren’t really that genuine, a rich, cocky and petty jerk who wasn’t the ML (I mean by definition he had everything to be the male lead lol) and the actual ML (a genius who suffers from the biggest case of Impostor Syndrome I’ve ever seen). No one except for the FL mostly is honest. A time jump that was there just for the sake of angst and not quite done right. Also, making a business with your friends involves a whole lot of nonsense and drama. And a “love triangle” that drove the fandom to madness. And wait, the sister was the second female lead? It’s June 2nd when trainees are called to hear what exactly was prepared for them this month. The coaches tell them they will be grouped with their company mates this time, separated by gender except for Nova who’ll get to work all together. The challenge sounds easy: choose three of your company seniors’ songs and perform them. Don’t worry, only dancing is asked this time! The only trick seems to be their evaluation performance is scheduled for the following week, June 9th.

When the day comes, the trainees start their performance as it should be, but are soon surprised by the catch. The coaches warned them right before they started to keep performing no matter what happened, and, unlike a few months before, the song does not stop. Instead, it skips ahead, and a few moments later changes to your second song. Maybe it takes some time for the trainees to notice, but what they’re going through is the famous Random Play Dance. They’re expected to adjust their formation and continue dancing to which part of the song is playing.

Once the game finally comes to its end (maybe after tricking the trainees into thinking it was over a few times before), the coaches announce the real evaluation for the month. It’s a variety month, and everybody will have to do their best to impress. With the first week going by, trainees are assigned their second mission. They’re told to practice or discover one or more personal skill to show on the following Sunday, the 16th, in front of all your company mates. This can be anything from a weird trick you can do with your hands, imitating animals or anything you think could impress. They’re told languages and instruments are off-limits. Remember that this is supposed to be variety, so don’t go for anything that’d leave a possible fan uninterested!

The third challenge is something that anyone aspiring to do well with variety should know how to do. During this week, the companies will receive the visit of comedian Shin Beomsu to talk and show a bit of how improv works. On the 23rd, they’ll be grouped to work on a scene they will only learn the theme of on the spot. Everybody will gather at their own company’s auditorium and, as the coaches call your name, you take the stage with your new partners and do your best not to get out of character or too boring. Treat your labelmates watching you as a real public and make sure they’re entertained! A list of the groups and themes can be found below the cut.

Finally, when the fourth week comes, the coaches keep it with an air of mystery. The only hint is that they should work hard during gym workout but, apart from that, the only real information comes on d-day, June 30th. At the very last day of the month, exactly at 2pm, all trainees are called into the gym for their final evaluation of the month. Each one of them receives a special vest to put on with a single white line on the back. The challenge is announced quickly, and most people would probably understand it right away. They’re told to take their name tags at the exit with the coaches and then hide somewhere because they’re about to re-create an episode of Running Man inside their building. They’re told that, at exactly 2:30pm, the game starts.

Once everyone is sent running and the time hits, the game will start. Whoever gets their nametag ripped from their back will have to return to the gym and wait for the final results. Trainees are expected to make it fair and coaches will be roaming around the building to make sure no one gets hurt. They are also told to avoid getting near their CEO’s office as the off-limits area. We’ll announce the winner OOC on the 1st of July.

// ( ♥ ) SSKT Commercials: Recording Information

On the new e-mail sent by KT to the lucky chosen to be part of the SuperStar KTWorld commercials (as seen on this post), the following pieces of information are given:

The filming of the commercials will be done in different locations and on different days, with some intercalating. Not everyone will be part of the same scene, and no one will film for more than a day. Each actor received a personalized e-mail with only the needed information for their own shooting which means they will not know about any of the other scenes to be recorded as a way to avoid as much leaking as possible. All actors and actress will be properly compensated for their work — except for the trainees and idols invited to be part of the shooting, whose money will go towards their company to help pay for their debt.

Actors and actresses who are filming in the morning are expected to arrive at their location by 6am unless specified otherwise and those recording in the afternoon should arrive by 11am. They’ll have their makeup done by professionals either in impromptu dressing rooms for on-site sets or in professional makeup areas for appropriate sets. Multiple takes will be taken of the same scene and the director will ask for a variety of expressions and emotions to make sure the final outcome is the best that there can be. Even if a take is supposedly perfect, they’ll still have to film it from different angles and with different expressions.

Catering will be available for lunch and snacks, although the morning actors are expected to leave after their scenes are done and those from the afternoon are adviced not to eat after getting their makeup done. However, no one will stop them from eating.

One thing not mentioned at all on the e-mail is that, upon arrival, a few of the actors were escorted to a private room by an unenthusiastic male staff member. Once they walk inside, they’ll find nothing much except for a man dressed in a fancy suit. He introduces himself as a Samsung representative and offers you a contract to a specific company, as listed below.

Actors required to play the game will receive a phone from the staff with the demo version of it to practice and to be used on the scenes. The phones cannot make calls, send messages or access the internet, and the actors should always be in sight of a staff member as ways to avoid leaking. Once the shooting is over, they’ll have to return it.

Most of the students will pile on each other to try and get a good sight of what KIM TAEHYUNG and LEE MINHYUNG are playing. It is, of course, SuperStar KTWorld. The director will instruct them to try different expressions and emotions such as cheering, gasping or sighing. While they are filmed from the front, Taehyung and Minhyung aren’t required to actually play on their phone, but shots from behind will force them to play the game. The actors will also record a few takes of getting surprised and rushing back to their seats as if their teacher had just walked in.

While they are filmed from the front, Naeun and Juyeon aren’t required to actually play on their phone, but shots from behind will force them to play the game.

“You say as we watch this,” he answered dryly, gesturing to the screen, where Nam Da Jung had just been tricked again. He wanted to be as optimistic as Dongyoon, but that attitude had been trampled out of him a long time ago. “I can count on one hand the number of people in my life who haven’t let me down,” he went on, raising his left hand - his injured hand - for emphasis. “So, short of seeing matching burn scars and hoping for the best, how am I supposed to know who it’s okay to open up to?”

Strength Outside Chains

Name: Sehyung  Shifter Form: Terrakion  Appearance: A tiny and unassuming man with a bowl haircut and sharp, red-rimmed hazel eyes, Sehyung is usually decked in his special spectacles as well as a baggy, cream coloured hoodie and comfortable khakis. There are visible scars on his arms and legs as well as a relatively deep cut across his nose and bypassing his eyes that’s obscured by his glasses, and it seems as though Sehyung has been going through a difficult time. He wear special gauntlets on both wrists, which he seems proud to show off and tout, and the gauntlets glow with power in sync with the rune embossed on both sides of his spectacles’ frame. If one took a closer look at the gauntlets, they would also be able to make out the word ‘누르다’ (’nuleuda’, subdue) on it.  Personality: Sehyung is incredibly headstrong and stubborn, deeply believing everything he pursues is correct. He’s bitter and cautious from his harsh beginnings as a slave, often casting needless doubt on things and hypersensitive to his surroundings (as if ready to attack) at all times, but on the flip side, he is fiercely loyal to those who do earn his trust and curious to the point of naivety at times. He has a voracious appetite to learn, insisting that he needs to make up for lost time, and claims that his need stems from ‘trying to be sophisticated’. Sehyung, however, continues to has questions of the circumstances of being Chosen despite already being accepted into the Elites as a Champion, and embraces his fate of becoming a revolutionary in an attempt to change the lives of slaves like him once and for all.  History: A slave gladiator known as the ‘Charging Bull’ from the world of the Salhaeja, Sehyung discovered a sword stuck in the soil of the pit he was bound to- despite the attempts of others to pull the sword, they failed, and seeing this as an opportunity, he chose to try when everyone else was asleep and the Sacred Sword reacted to his presence, choosing him as their Champion. With this elevated status, however, the power of the Sword being taken ripped a minor distortion into the realms, which sucked Sehyung into said ripple and spat out facedown in the middle of Seoul, Earth. 

Terrified and disoriented, Sehyung lashed out with his newfound strength and began destroying things. Doyeon, alerted by his presence, managed to convince a reluctant Kijoon to attempt to blindside Sehyung and subdue him. Sehyung, believing Doyeon to be taunting him and confused by his now-distorted vision, ended up setting off the subduing chains on his limbs and knocking himself out. Doyeon attempted to convince Sehyung that she was on his side, but Sehyung chose to sought out the ‘shadow’ he had seen before (Kijoon while invisible) and eventually chanced upon Sangyeob. Sehyung eventually began learning under Hyunsung, Sangyeob’s master and an elite Salhaeja Caster, picking up how to read and write as well as his spectacles to adjust his all-seeing power to acceptable levels. Hyunsung also managed to remove the chains from Sehyung, figuring the reminder only caused him pain and allowed the younger to heal.  Adjusting well to this world, Sehyung began to search for the shadow, finally reconciling it with Kijoon. Kijoon gave Sehyung a job in his team, Team Ghost, and Sehyung eagerly accepted working with his idol. He developed a little crush on Ahsung, unaware that she was already in a polyamorous relationship with Howon and Donghwi, but the rest of the team quickly adopted him as their ridiculously strong maknae, nobody actually starts questioning it. He discovered some special magical stones during a mission, studying it greatly and beginning to tap into the heritage of the Casters in the process. Kijoon calls Sehyung ‘Jung-sshi’ and Sehyung calls Kijoon ‘Eom-sshi’. 

After returning to his world, Sehyung started a revolution upon being crowned Champion of his totem- the first thing he did with his newfound strength was to destroy the stadium that had ruined his life, freeing all the slave children within and leading them to a safe haven where he knew they could be allowed to heal. He’s roped in a few friends to aid him- his master, Sangyeob, a(n again reluctant) Kijoon as well as the questionable Salhaeja rogue Sungoh, who had returned to undo a punishment that kept him trapped in his secondary form. With his new gauntlets, Sehyung is trying to change history by making things right once in his life. 

Reunited with his younger brother, Sechan, Sehyung has recently enrolled into Seoul National University as a second-year in criminology. Due to cultural differences and Sehyung’s often combative nature, he’s made enemies out of most of his peers (who also fear him), but has made friends with the timid psychology resident Sejong as well as Sehyung’s own direct junior Dongyoon. The university course is a cover, however- Sehyung’s real motives in going to school despite being basically illiterate is due to his link to the Trawlers, who needed more than one person in another course to keep an eye on potential cold cases cropping up in the compound.  Powers: Being blessed by Terrakion, Sehyung is imbued with superhuman strength, which makes him a force to be reckoned as he can dent and bust holes into most things with a single blow. As an apprenticing Caster, Sehyung now can tap into several different abilities, but favors earth manipulation as well as teleportation. He, like all Casters, can see through illusions and show people as their base forms, but due to being unable to control this power yet, wears the correction glasses to return his vision to normal. 

Melee wise, Sehyung has heightened endurance and agility from his Worker roots, as well as being skilled in most types of hand-to-hand combat due to his origins as a gladiator. He’s also surprisingly excellent with his Sacred Sword, being able to shrink it into the size of a dagger and wield it fluidly as well as swing it just as easily when it is sword-sized- which makes him differ starkly from the other two Sacred Sword wielders, Kwanghee and Yohan, who had both struggled in subduing and wielding their own blades.  Immortal/Semi-Immortal?: Immortal  Alignment: Chaotic Good  Other: The gauntlets still shock him if he gets too agitated :’D
