hyunsuk gives off healthy mature long-term relationship vibes to me okay. i feel like a lot of couples that have been together for a while end up not cuddling while sleeping but rather get into their own comfortable sleeping positions, and then throughout the night, even though you’re so sleepy you’re barely conscious, when you realize that you’re not cuddling, you scooch back into each other’s arms. he always hits snooze on the alarm at least once in the morning just to get ten extra minutes of being with you before having to get up.

you both wake up stinky and sweaty every single time - jihoon

and it's because the two of you fall asleep in your cuddling position (usually you as the little spoon or resting your head on his chest, but you force him to let you spoon him sometimes), and then you don't. move. not an inch. if it gets too hot, one of you throws the blankets away, or gets rid of their pajama pants, or regains enough consciousness during the night to turn the fan on, but under no circumstances will you break away from your cuddling position - unless it is to get into another cuddling position, of course. it's quite nice, but it means that morning showers are obligatory, because you both smell atrocious after a night of being stuck to each other like glue on paper.

you know those anime body pillows? yup. that's what you become when yoshi wants to cuddle. he gives me major cuddler vibes, so you’ll have tried every position in the book, but his favorite is definitely the one where he gets to use to your chest as a pillow and you graze your fingernails against his scalp. he’s got a leg hiked up over your hips and has his arms circling your waist and holding you tight. you can’t move. nothing will have him falling asleep as fast as that. your voice is like a lullaby to him, so he especially likes it if you talk to him in a low voice while he drifts off to sleep. he’s so happy he could fall asleep with a smile on his face. he’s so cute i’m going to off myself

a big portion of your time hanging out with junkyu is spent napping. something that surprises you every time is how even though he isn’t the touchiest of boyfriends, if you fall asleep cuddling, you literally cannot move unless you wake him up and make him let you go. forget going to the toilet when you wake up in the morning or getting a snack during your afternoon nap: if junkyu has you in his grip, you cannot escape. he doesn’t even seem to notice: he just wakes up with an innocent smile on his face, saying “oh, you’re awake, y/n?” even though you’ve been trying to discreetly untangle yourself from him for the past thirty minutes.

now i could NOT tell you why but jaehyuk gives me like… snorer and drooler vibes 😭 but like in a cute way okay… once he falls asleep he’s just out like a light, he can’t help it. he’s like those cartoon characters that sleep with their mouths wide open and there’s a bit of saliva at the corner of their lips. and they’re very light snores that are fun to record and embarrass him with. if you didn’t love him so much, it might give you the ick. but anyways, in terms of cuddling i see him as a mix of everyone above in a way; he loves both holding you close to him and being in your arms, he loves both rubbing your back or you playing with his hair, he loves falling asleep while cuddling but he’s also happy if you need more space and just have, like, your feet or hands touching. as long as you’re next to him he knows he’ll sleep well <3

wakes up every time you so much as move a finger - asahi

any asahi lore expert such as myself will know that asahi is a very light sleeper. i think for him cuddling is more of an activity than a way of falling asleep if that makes sense? like he’ll do it when you’re watching something, or when you’re talking and want to be physically close at the same time, but he just can’t fall asleep while cuddling. he also sweats easily, so the added warmth would just make it not fun for him 😭he’d do it for you if you really wanted it, but he’d rather just hold hands while sleeping or something like that. you’d also feel sorry for him with how often he woke up during the night, even if it was just for a few seconds, everytime you moved around too noisily or snored. he also always wakes up before you, and you’d need to have a conversation with him about how you’d rather wake up with him next to you rather than wake up without him, only to find him in the kitchen making breakfast for you :( he just wants to do something nice for him, but you’d rather be able to kiss him first thing in the morning!!!! sorry my bias is showing a bit

oh this boy 😭 if he falls asleep after you or wakes up before you, you just know he's going to be propping himself up on his elbow, gazing down at you with soft eyes and a fond smile because you're just the prettiest person in the world to him, and there's nothing else he'd rather be looking at. and he isn’t rattled in the slightest if you catch him doing it, too. he'll just smile wider and say "hey, baby" or "sleep well?", that fucker. it's lowkey creepy, but it's doyoung, so it's okay. it’s a bit jarring at first, locking eyes with someone right when you wake up, but you get used to it. i see him as similar to jaehyuk in the sense that he’s happy to fall asleep, cuddling or not cuddling, in whatever way you prefer. he’d probably like to fall asleep facing you so that he could see your face right as he woke up (in a lovely, enamored way, not in a creepy way!) 👍

jeongwoo seriously gives me tired all day until it's time to go to bed vibes, like he'll usually be chill with bursts of energy here and there but in the evening he's like a cat with the zoomies. it's like 11pm and you're just trying to fall asleep because you have class or work the next day but your boyfriend is bouncing all over the room and talking a hundred words a minute, keeping you awake way past your bedtime. it's kinda cute sometimes, but most of the time, you want to suffocate him with your pillow. usually, though, he'll calm down if he sees you're really tired, or if you force him to stay in your arms and start threading your hands through his hair or rub patterns against his back - that really calms him down. he becomes super quiet instantly and can even fall asleep like that. but dear lord, when that alarm rings the next morning, you do not want to talk to him for the following fifteen minutes. he is so grumpy and sleepy in the morning, i just know. it's impossible to get him out of bed and you've just learnt to get up yourself and wait for him to wake up - although it's better to check that he hasn't fallen back asleep (which he usually has). he just keeps groaning for five more minutes and buries his head in his pillow to block the light out, but if you press a kiss to his cheek or forehead, that usually gets him to open his eyes and start smiling, then ask for a proper good morning kiss on the lips. this kid is annoying as hell, but you wouldn't have it any other way.

forgets his size and rests his whole body on you - haruto

haruto is like those big dogs that have no idea they're so big and wonder why they can't just lay on top of you. “it's because you're suffocating me, ruto! you're too heavy to rest your whole weight on me.” when you'd told him that, he pouted so hard and had seemed so genuinely upset that you apologized, took him back in your arms and simply neglected your need to breathe for a little longer. he is also one hundred percent that guy who will deny wanting cuddles or any sort of skinship, but if you don’t give it to him, he will be mad at you. if you do give it to him, he’ll pretend he doesn’t like it. you just have to be a mind reader, i guess. all this to say that even if he doesn’t tell you outright, haruto definitely wants to cuddle to sleep. sure, you can fall asleep in his arms if you really want (he loves it), but he’d rather fall asleep on you like yoshi does, even though he’s way too heavy for that.

you fight every time you have to decide who gets to be the little spoon - junghwan

my son.. do you guys know that “thank you myson!” jimin meme… anyways… junghwan might have buffed up over the years but do not get him wrong, that man is a little spoon until the day he dies. if you are also the little spoon, you will have to fight. simple as that. you can decide if it’ll be a tickle fight, an argument where you try to prove why you defend to be the little spoon more, or an actual fist fight (you might lose though), you’ll have to settle it one way or another. no matter how much both of you try to deny it, you love it either way anyway. as much as you love the feeling of his arms around you, there’s something about holding such a big man in your arms like he’s half the size that he is.

junkyu doesn't expect to see you standing outside of his and jihoon's apartment. to be honest, everyone thought that the food had arrived for their game night, and thankfully junkyu had drawn the short straw to go lug everything inside. instead, you're there, face wet with tears as you hug yourself again.

"did something happen?" he says softly as he steps out, pulling the door almost shut behind him. he knows the others know that something is going on, but it allows him the slightest privacy. "are you okay?"

you shake your head, and then step forward. he's already wrapping his arms around you as you bury your face into his hoodie, breathing in deeply. his cologne is faint underneath the smell of fabric softener, but you swear you can still smell it. "just..."

he says nothing. you let out a long sigh.

"i dunno. everything just sucks today, and i know i'm ruining your game night, but my roommate went out with her friends and wouldn't pick up and--"

he shakes his head. "it's okay," he says softly, hand rubbing soothing circles onto your back. "do you want to come in? you can watch us play--or join if you feel like it."

your eyes meet his. junkyu hasn't introduced you to the other half of his friend group yet--just because the timing never worked out. jihoon knows you, sure, but you've only heard stories about hyunsuk and yoshi. "are you sure?"

"i'm sure," he smiles at you, and it somehow does wonders to ease your stress. "they won't mind. i promise. you'll like them."

junkyu's hand slips into yours, and he runs his thumb alongside the back of your hand. at least you know junkyu will be there when you need him the most, smiling proudly when he introduces you to his other friends.

Hyunsuk: falling asleep while he shops

You should have never agreed to go shopping with hyunsuk. You both had a day off work so you decided to have a walk around town, stopping at stores and having ice cream. It was getting dark soon and you guys were planning to have dinner at one of your favorite restaurants.

While you guys were walking towards the restaurant,Hyunsuk gripped your hand and stopped in front of one of his favorite stores. You already knew what he was going to say before even turned to look at you. With a sweet smile and a promise to buy you dessert you were suckered into watching him try on diffrent jackets.

He had promised to only try on a few but it's been 40 minutes and he was talking to himself about how he doesnt know what jacket looks better on him. You were very thankful that the shop had a comfortable couch that was in front of a bunch of mirrors and the dressing rooms.

After the 5th jacket you were noticing how tired you were, you had a long day of walking around and the soft couch was so comfortable.

“ I think I like this black one more than the green one, '' Hyunsuk says from inside the dressing room.You just hum loudly too tired to respond and knowing hyunsuck his mind would change in a few minutes.

“ Actually this red one is better,” Hyunsuck says, changing his mind and that was the last thing your heard before you fell asleep. Your head resting on the back of the couch, the bright light not seeming to bother you at all.

“ Did you like the red one to y/n/n?” He asks you But after you dont answer for a few moments he walks out of the dressing room holding both jackets. He rushed to you, putting the jackets next to you looking down at you worried that something happened, but his worried look turns into a smile when he sees you sleeping.

“ Are you finding everything okay?” The nice lady asks but stops when she sees your sleeping form, a smile on her face as she watches him blush and scratch the back of his neck.

“ Ah yes, Sorry I guess I was taking so long that she fell asleep” he says with a bashful smile. The Nice worker just waved him off with a smile telling him that it happens all the time and that the shop was closing in 30 minutes.

He smiles politely and watches her walk away before turning his attention to his sleeping girlfriend. He goes to softly shake your shoulder but quickly pulls out his phone to take a picture of you, smiling to himself making a mental note to set it as his lock screen later.

“ y/n wake up” He says bending down to wake you up, moving your hair out of your face. It only takes a few seconds before you're sitting up confused about what happened. You wince and cover your eyes from the bright light making hyunsuk chuckle and fix your hair for you.

“ I'm sorry I took so long,” Hyunsuk apologized. You just smile tiredly and shake your head trying to get used to the light “ Its okay i know how much you love this store”

“ Okay the stores close’s in 30 minutes so let me try on this last jacket and we can go '' Hyunsuk jokes, making you glare and slap his arm.

“ Hyunsuk i'm tired and hungry” You whine making him laugh and help you up, grabbing both of the jackets deciding to buy both.

“ I'm just joking, let's go” He smiles, pulling you towards the checkout counter.

Jihoon: falling asleep while he dances

Jihoon promised that he would take you on a date after your shift at work….he just had to practice a few dances before. He said it would only take an hour tops, but here you are laying down on one of the black couches falling asleep to the slight squeaks of jihoons sneakers against the floor and the song he's been practicing.

You were tired from a long day of serving drinks and cleaning tables, all you wanted to do was relax and spend some much needed time with your boyfriend. You were trying to stay awake, you didn't want to waste the time you had with jihoon on sleeping, but the surprisingly comfortable couch wasn’t helping you at all with staying up.

After a few minutes of struggling to stay awake you finally give in and fall asleep.

Jihoon quietly curses as he stares at himself through the mirror, repeating the same move he's been working on for the past 10 minutes. He didn't understand why he wasn't getting it. He didn't want to push himself too hard but he knew that he had to have this choreo down by the end of the week.

Jihoon grabs his phone that's leaning against the mirrors and stops the recording that he would use to watch his progress later on. “ I'm sorry y/n/n i just couldn't get the one move right” Jihoon sighs, shutting off his phone, turning around to look at you.

Jihoon couldn't help but feel a little guilty as he watches your sleeping form, he cleans off his sweaty hands and walks towards you and crouches down watching you with a small smile. Contemplating if he should wake you up or not.

He knew you were exhausted so he wanted you to get some sleep, but he also knew how upset you would be if you missed out on spending time with him. With him and his members working on their comeback he had a busy schedule and he hated how he couldnt spend that much time with you.

“ y/n…love wake up” Jihoon coos as he softly shakes your shoulder before leaning down to kiss your forehead. You can't help but groan as you wake up, snuggling your face closer to jihoons hoodie that you've been using as a pillow.

So cute, Jihoon thinks with a smile as he watches you slowly open your eyes, looking at him tiredly. “ Are you done now?” You mumbled, turning your head away from him as you let out a yawn. Jihoon can't help but smile at your cuteness before helping you stand up.

“ Come on let's go eat something” He offers knowing that the way to your heart is food. You give him the side eye as you follow him out of the practice room, you know his intentions. He's sorry for making you wait so long. “ Are you paying?”

“ Of course”

“ Okay good because I want Korean barbecue” you giggled holding onto his arm as he led you out of his company building. Jihoon smiles and moves his arm out of your hold and around your shoulder mumbling something about how cute you are.

Yoshi: falling asleep while he paints

Being with yoshi was always relaxing. He just had this aura that made you completely comfortable wherever you were. And here you are, under the covers lying comfortably in Yoshi's bed, watching him paint.

You always loved to watch him do the things he loves, he did it so passionately. He always put so much effort into everything he did. You watched him with a tired smile as you pulled the blanket under your chin, the breeze coming from the opened window making you cold. Yoshi had opened the window in hopes that the smell of the paint wouldn't give you or him a headache.

After a few more minutes of watching him paint in silence you start to feel your eyes droop and your body submerge into sleep. Yoshi Didn't notice for a little, he was used to the quiet atmosphere you guys had whenever he would paint. He would be painting and you would either be on your phone or reading a book.

When Yoshi turns around to ask you a question he sees you sleeping peacefully. His eyes widen and he blinks a few times as he watches you sleep before a smile breaks out onto his face. He gets up and tucks you in, grabbing your phone and putting it on the charger, leaning down to kiss your forehead “ Sleep well” he whispers.

He moves to sit back where he was sitting in front of his painting, but instead of continuing the painting he was already working on. He grabs a new canvas and starts painting your sleeping form a big smile on his face. His heart warm.

Junkyu: falling asleep while he plays piano

How could you not fall asleep? The song he was playing was basically telling you to fall asleep. You both had originally gone to the practice room for junkyu to teach you how to play the piano.

But after an hour of you complaining about you can't do it and that your fingers hurt. You retreaded to the comfy chair and decided it was better to watch junkyu instead, and besides you were tired of hearing how bad you were…it was better to hear him play.

And you could tell the junkyu was also tired of hearing your off pitch tries, Who knew that you were so bad at it?. But Junkyu was very sweet and encouraging about it. You could tell he was also trying hard not to tease you about it.

“ What do you want me to play y/n/n” Junkyu asked you as he saw you pull your knees to your chest. “the one that I always forget the name of” You smile while staring at him. Junkyu laughs and starts playing, making you sigh and rest your head on your knees listening carefully.

And after that song he was playing another and another and you could tell there was a common theme, they all were slow and made you want to sleep even more. After closing your eyes you hear him change to a piano version of one of your favorite songs to sleep to. And before you know it you were asleep.

Junkyu was quick to notice you were falling asleep, at first he thought you were just resting and listening but after he asked you if you wanted to try again and you didn't answer he knew you were asleep.

Junkyu watches you for a few moments wondering if he should wake you up or not. That position is definitely not comfortable, he thinks. He decides to wake you up knowing that you would complain about it later so he presses hard on a few random keys that make a loud noise.

You can't help but jump up at the loud noise, now awake looking around in confusion as you sit up putting down your knees. Junkyu can't help but laugh at your expression, whispering that you're cute.

“ Did my playing bore you to sleep?” He jokes making you shake your head and stand up, moving to stand behind him. Leaning down to rest your head on his shoulder. “ What do you mean i was awake the whole time”

Junkyu laughs, shaking his head, tilting his head to look at you. “ wanna go back to the dorms and take a nap?” He offers smiling when you give him a tired smile

“ please”

"please! i can't sit still," junkyu complained from behind you, making sure his words were audible to your ears, and your ears only. grunting under your breath, you released your bottom lip from between your teeth and lifted your clammy palms off his knees. "fine, let's just lay down then."

junkyu's unsuspecting friends had no clue what you two were up to, and for their own well being, things were much better that way. they were already immune to your clingy tendencies. both of you bundled up underneath a large blanket on the couch (specially reserved for the two of you)more concerned with meeting your daily quota of cuddles and kisses rather than focusing on the movie playing on the tv ahead was a scene they were familiar with. unless you were giggling too loudly and disturbing them, they never payed much attention to you, and you hoped and prayed that things would remain like that.

it was quite obvious that you and junkyu were feeling particularly antsy tonight. if anyone asked, you were tickling each other under the covers. otherwise, both of you could rest assured knowing that no one was assuming that you were having sex. cause that's exactly what you were doing.

junkyu respected his friends as well as his and your privacy. but sometimes sneaking off to the bedroom or bathroom or in some instances, even the kitchen, was more obvious than staying right where you were. the thought of junkyu committing such an act in the presence of his friends was practically unfathomable, which was exactly why it was happening in the first place. at first you had been perched on his lap, cock stuffed in your walls but hidden by your skirt and the blanket. you were rocking your hips back and forth as subtly as you could, and he was clinging to your body as normally as he could, trying to extract some minute amount of friction to satisfy yourselves. it was working for the most part. only problem was that it simply wasn't enough. junkyu wasn't satisfied. he wanted more of you.

you were starting to zone out, not keeping watch on his friends as attentively as you should have been. snapping out of your daze, your eyes darted around the room frantically, a new feeling of relief washing over you each time you confirmed that no one was looking at the two of you.

now you were distracted, and junkyu was done. when he snapped his hips into you for the last time, you couldn't help but cry out surprisingly loud. your worst nightmare. one by one each pair of eyes in the room slowly turned to you. some were shocked, others were concerned. junkyu was a panting mess behind you, while you were far too stunned to think.

"you guys okay?" jihoon asked from across the room, wondering why his best friend was slumped behind you looking so exhausted. from underneath the blanket, junkyu's trembling hand emerged to flash a weak thumbs up. that was way too close.

it was early into the evening when you had finished intricately decorating your left arm with flowers and miniature patterns. the ink extended until your fingertips, where the chocolate coloured henna contrasted the supple skin of your palm. calling out for your boyfriend, jihoon, to see the gorgeous pattern which was slowly staining your skin. he'd seen your henna designs many times, though you'd never quite done such an intricate design. in truth, it had taken you most of your morning to etch the ink onto your shoulder and down to your forearm, with added difficulty when trying to duplicate each pattern onto all of your fingertips. once he emerged from the doorway, he saw your figure, basked in the golden sunlight that filtered through the window of the small room, and the way in which the delicate henna glistened across your skin told him that it hadn't quite finished drying. he extended his forearm, in a manner that expressed he meant to reach out for your still-drying shoulder. you quickly shuffled away from his hold, extending your right hand toward him with your palm facing outward. "hold it right there, hoon." you continued despite the pout that now adorned his features, "you know as well as i do that you're not allowed near me until this dries." his pout deepened in response, if you weren't dead set on keeping him away from you, you'd have probably broke out in laughter at his almost comical expression. "don't you remember what happened last time you were near me while my henna was drying? 'cuz i do. and it sure as hell wasn't pleasant." crossing his arms in front of his chest, he stared at you with contempt, "hey, that was one time! i'm responsible, y'know." his brows furrowed and his eyes slanted in mock indignation. he stepped closer to your frame, grabbing your right hand and clasping his fingers around yours before raising it above your head, taking a step back until your waist was trapped against the windowsill. you seemed ethereal against the golden light, your skin seemingly kissed by each ray of sunlight. he planted a brief kiss on your lips before diving back in for another, his right hand coming up to your frame out of instinct, where he accidentally brushed against the wet ink. his thumb smearing the corner of one of the beautifully crafted flowers at the top of your shoulder. he pulled away from the kiss at the contact, grimace adorning his face at the slight smudge against your skin. your eyes still shut, you tilted your head down, "jihoon, if you just did what i think you did, you have five seconds to run." "but wouldn't that just smudge it more?" "jihoon!"

hugging you // asking you how you did it - hyunsuk

"hyunsuk! c'mere!" you shouted from the bedroom that the both of you shared. you were basked in a pale moonlight, the open window in the back corner of the room sporting a full view of the waning moon. your skin seemingly glowing, showcasing the newly drawn henna along your palm. the ink-stained towel that you'd used to clean up the edges of your design now lay discarded atop your desk with the rest of your henna ink and pens. the clutter only adding to the mess that was your workspace. small ceramic bowls decorated the edges, filled with paperclips, bottle caps, thumbtacks, and other small doodads you'd kept or deemed useful. "hyunsuk!" you shouted once more, hoping for his sake that he wasn't ignoring you. just as you were about to storm out of your room to find him, a sleepy looking hyunsuk appeared in your doorway, causing you to immediately put your henna-clad hand behind your back. suffering from a bad case of bed-head, hyunsuk leaned his palm against the frame of the door to balance himself as he fought off his urge to sleep. lidded eyes looking up at you from the downwardly tilted position of his head, muttering something near unintelligible. "what? 'sukkie, you look like you just died and came back." in truth, you loved how he looked when he was tired. the weary look in his eyes and his slow blinking matched the small pout he unconsciously sported. drowsily making his way through the bedroom and over to you, hyunsuk nearly bumped into your desk. taking a look at the discarded rag, he'd realized that's why you'd called him over. before he could ask, you confirmed the suspicion by revealing your hand and palm to him. "oh, it's beautiful. just like you." shifting his gaze from the intricate art on your hand, “you should show me how you do that.” he looked into your eyes and blindly moved his hand to hold your waist. "you're a dork," you scoffed, tucking a strand of hyunsuk's hair behind his ear as he leaned his head against your shoulder, "hm… but i’m your dork." you noticed hyunsuk's breathing slow and his head get heavier against you as you smiled at the slumped-over dork. maybe he was a bit of a mess, but he was your mess and that was all that mattered to you. “i love you, you dork.”

you find them doing research on henna - yoshi

it was nearly two in the morning when you stumbled over a sleeping yoshinori. he'd fallen asleep at his desk as he so often did when he got overly excited about researching one topic or the other. his computer light illuminated the wisps of his hair as you cautiously stepped toward the sleeping boy, you noticed his notebook had clean, perfect handwriting which transformed into scribbled-down notes and later into indecipherable shapes on lined paper. skimming over the notes as best you could without disturbing the boy whose face was pressed against the reams of the notebook cover. when yoshi tried to learn something, he certainly gave it his all. you knew that already. though, most often he would share what he was learning with you since you'd always loved the way his eyes lit up when he talked about something he was excited about, this was not one of those times. he'd kept his research to himself and his journal. as you looked over his scribbled notes, you realized he was researching henna. you weren’t aware yoshi had any interest in it, but his notes were thorough, thought out, and he even included little scribbles of flowers. one of the drawn designs looked oddly similar. looking down at your henna covered arm, you immediately recognized the flower patterns you had raved about to him. it’d taken you a while to perfect them, and you were quite proud of the design you’d crafted. and so, you were more than excited to show yoshinori. carefully, you pulled a woven acrylic blanket over a shivering yoshi. he stirred slightly, looking confused as he rose from his hunched over position at his desk. “hm?” you giggled to yourself, watching his eyebrows furrow. “nothing, love. come to bed and get some proper rest, yeah?” he shuffled, rubbing his eyes and stretching before going rigid and closing his notebook, as if he’d been caught in the act of something illegal. “i, hm. i didn’t mean to fall asleep.” you decided he looked too cute to not tease; “who would mean to fall asleep when doing all that research? must’ve been interesting.” you smiled as he looked up at you, “it was.” “what did you research?” you asked as you grabbed his arm, coaxing him toward your shared room. “henna. mmh, i wanted to learn about henna for you.” he muttered, one hand over his eye in an effort to lazily wake himself up. “for me?” you inquired. “mhm,” yoshi prodded at the henna drawn on your arm, “it’s pretty, you’re pretty.”

taking photos - junkyu

you were sat at a table overlooking your backyard, where your boyfriend kneeled, taking photos of the flowery hedges which formed a lush border around the carpet of grass that was slightly overdue for a trim. there, you dragged the pen which held your henna ink along your skin, etching spirals along the blank canvas that was your thighs. you'd been lucky, the weather was finally at a bearable temperature for you to wear shorts, though not warm enough for you to feel burdened outside in the sunlight. the hem of your shorts was pulled up to your waist in an attempt to not stain the worn polyester. as you carefully dragged the cold liquid across your skin, a glare of light silhouetted your actions, shortly followed by a faint shuttering. once you'd turned your head to look for the reason which your vision had been overcome with a bright light, you were met - face to face - with the culprit, camera in-hand. junkyu, softly smiling at you from behind the dark frame of the lens. "sorry," he timidly muttered, hand coming up to the back of his neck in what you presumed was embarrassment, "you just looked too beautiful." to say you were speechless at his brazen compliment would be an understatement. your mouth agape, you stared at the soft-spoken boy in front of you. pen still in hand, you froze. your pinky slightly extended outwards from the overhand grip you currently had on your henna pen and your wrist tilted awkwardly above the unfinished texture so as to not let the dark liquid smudge nor come into contact with the blank flesh of your arm. "i looked too... what?" "beautiful." your mouth now clamped shut, lips forming a straight line as you stared into his chestnut eyes. still slightly embarrassed, his lips tugged upward in a shy smile. quickly grasping the black, boxed camera, the black strap which connected each side of the old fashioned camera moved from its formerly stagnant position around his neck, junkyu once again positioned the camera to face you. thumb resting on the underside of the lens, supporting the weight of the camera whilst his index finger hovered above a hard, recently-used button. click. the familiar, harsh shutter was heard again as a sudden bang of light crept upon your vision, the vivid light staining your surroundings for a moment before dying down. "sorry, just... had to capture that expression."

MOVIE NIGHT W JUNKYU

you looked up from the netflix screen as you felt the edge of the sofa beside you sink with the weight of what looked like every blanket on the earth. junkyu was standing over you, checking out the screen to figure out the film you had been so anxious to watch with him. 

you weren't much of a horror movie person generally but you wanted to watch something that would creep him out a bit, partly so he'd want to cuddle closer into your side, but more because even the prospect of junkyu leaping a foot into the air at every jump scare made you giggle.

you had been worried he might catch on to your scheme and try to back out, so you kept your choice from his knowledge, but now that he had seen he looked far less phased than you had been expecting.

he reclined beside you and let his head fall on your shoulder, reaching over to pull some blankets over your laps. you started the movie and looked down at junkyu, already giggling to yourself as your lips pressed against his forehead.

your stomach dropped when the creepy music started though, and it occured to you that you had never factored in your possible aversion to scary movies. you never watched them after all. you had no clue how you'd react.

the first jump scare took you totally by surprise, throwing your phone into the air and screaming. junkyu barely flinched, only looking up to check you weren't too shaken up. as soon as he was convinced he lay his head right back down on your shoulder where it had been and let his gaze soften as he mindlessly watched the tv.

again and again you found yourself shouting and starting whenever anything jumped out of the shadows at you, not quite realising how afraid you had been until junkyu's fingers brushed the tears from your cheek.

'hey... are you alright? why on earth did you pick this movie if you're so terrified of scary stuff?'

you tried to explain your reasoning, still hopping about every few moments until junkyu finally turned off the film and gave you some peace of mind.

'well do you wanna watch something else?'

you didn't want to have totally spoiled his night, and despite your regular jolting he seemed to have been enjoying the film.

'we could watch a documentary?' you suggested, knowing they were a favourite of his.

his excited smile told you your plan b was a success, and he immediately started babbling about some space thing he had heard about and had been dying to watch.

the documentary wasn't exactly a bundle of laughs either. it mostly focused on humanity's many shortcomings and the inevitability of annihilation should we be met by any real large-scale disaster. but junkyu was transfixed, so you watched on, arms around his neck and head on his shoulder, glad he could get something fun out of the evening.

it wasn't very long, but the palava with the film meant you were watching into the small hours of the morning, and it was the most you could do to trudge to bed and wash up before collapsing.

that apparently made one of you though, because after slipping into bed next to you junkyu was eager to get your thoughts on every piece of information the documentary had presented you with.

'do you really think humans would be that useless if an asteroid hit? how long do you think we'd last? a year maybe? no, that's probably too much, it's probably more like a few months.'

it was the most you could do to just smile at him and nod sleepily, eyes already closing as you listened to the rambling.

'i think the flooding must be pretty inevitable though, right? like climate change is basically guaranteeing a rise in sea levels.. do you know how high seoul's elevation is? maybe i should check that out...'

you held onto his shoulder to stop him from rolling over and googling it then and there, thinking the phone light would burn your eyes considering how desperate they were to end their shift for the day.

he stayed laying on his side facing you, only now realising how much of a struggle it had been for you to remain awake as he rattled on. he whispered an apology under his breath and wriggled his arm under your body, pulling you into his chest and aligning your ear with his heart, leaving you to fall asleep against its slow and steady beating.

If there was anything that made you want to burn your place of work to the ground, it was your request for a day off on your birthday getting denied.

Fuck, you had the vacation days. You’d saved one specifically so you could try and take today off. But things were busy, and your boss had apologized, but the only way someone was getting out of work right now was due to a medical emergency. Despite the way you told your boyfriend to fake a heart attack or something for you (Junkyu merely laughed before apologizing for the fact you had to go in), you found yourself at work for too many damn hours and it was making you miserable.

But, alas, where there was misery, there would be a single light at the tunnel for you: getting off of work. The moment things were over, you were the first one out of the office, pissed from dealing with people all day. Maybe you’d find somewhere with better pay and a boss who would actually try to work with you, but that’d come later. All you wanted was to go home and do nothing but laze around your apartment for the rest of the day.

Junkyu, on the other hand, had a few very small plans. He’d texted you that on your way home (and you nearly groaned, praying that it meant something simple instead of another elaborate date like he used to take you on before your relationship became more mellow) to be ready when you came home. You’d texted back a simple ‘okay,’ too tired to argue back at the moment, and enjoyed the rest of your bus ride home.

When you came in, he immediately greeted you with a kiss. “Happy birthday! Go take a bath.”

... What?

When you didn’t move, he pouted. “We’re staying in tonight,” he said, “so go take a bath while I get everything set up. I already ran the water and everything!”

You simply stared at him for another moment. “Junkyu--”

He let out a sigh. “You’re stressed, right? You told me you like taking baths after days like this, so I looked up what kind of bath salts help. Then I went to the store, and the lady was really nice when I told her that it was for my stressed girlfriend who couldn’t get her birthday off work, and...” He gently took your hands, taking a tiny step back to pull you further into your apartment. “You deserve to rest. I’ll take care of everything else tonight. Go rest, okay?”

“I thought you said we had plans--”

“I did!” He smiled. “This. Some of your friends wanted to throw a surprise party tonight, but I told them they could do it for you this weekend instead. That way you wouldn’t have to deal with people anymore,” another step back, “because I know you’re tired.”

Something about the way he casually went on and on about all the things he did for you (he took a call from your parents when they were unable to reach you, rebuffed another friend’s attempt at setting up a surprise for you because he knew you’d be too exhausted to deal with it...) as though they were second nature to him made your heart swell a little. Junkyu knew you. He knew you preferred to take a long, hot bath after you have stressful days, and went the extra mile to do something that’d make you even more comfortable. He had already promised to order dinner while you were relaxing, and he’d find one of your favorite movies to rewatch while the two of you ate. Nothing high-energy, and he was willing to drop any of it if you asked.

“I think I was right... I want to marry you,” you said without thinking, wrapping your arms around him.

He said nothing at first, leading you to pull away and realize how red his face had become. “... Me?” He said after a moment “I’m just trying to take care of you--”

“We’ll talk about it later,” you said, stealing a quick kiss from him. “I love you. You’re the best.”

For another moment, he said nothing as he watched you walk away... only to speak up. “Wait, you’ve thought about marrying me?!”

A Little into You (Junkyu x Reader) (Ch. 42)

Chapter 42 - The Trio

“Oh my god,” you groaned as you cover your face with your hands, whilst Yedam still had his phone camera directed towards you and Junkyu.

“Aww don’t be shy. You both look really good,” Yedam said in his cooing tone.

“Yedam? What are you doing here? Are you alone?” Junkyu asked, ignoring the fact that you were trying to hide from embarrassment from the younger member.

At this point you were already hiding behind Junkyu, giving death glares towards Yedam, to which he giggled at as he finally kept his phone in his pocket.

Yedam approaches the both of you, casually walking with his hands in his pants’ pocket.

“Nah, I was with some of the rest. I was coincidentally walking ahead of them and somehow reached here.”

“How did you know we were here? No one else knew of our date plans,” Junkyu prodded further. 

“What?” Yedam chuckled. “That’s crazy! I have zero idea that you’d both be here. I was passing by this area when I overheard a group of elder ladies gossiping about a lewd behaviour happening in the bedroom departments.”

Both you and Junkyu turned red upon hearing this. You squeezed Junkyu’s arm, silently panicking if anyone even recognised your boyfriend being the one involved with the ‘lewd behaviour’ in a public space.

“I mean, I was just curious on what they meant by lewd behaviour so I hurried to see if I could catch a glimpse,” Yedam shrugged as he explained further. “Imagine my surprise to see you being on top of Junkyu-hyung, Y/n!” he started laughing at this.

“H-hey! That’s not fair! How’d you even know it was us? It could’ve been any other couple you know,” you argued back.

“Oh come on, Y/n,” Yedam smirked. “Junkyu-hyung concealing his identity was already good enough, but what makes you think I can’t recognise you anywhere?”

You pout at this. He was right. And the reason you didn’t disguise yourself enough was because you were confident that no one would recognise you since you’re not a celebrity or anything. Besides, if you had been in full disguise alongside Junkyu, wouldn’t people sense that the both of you might be some sort of celebrity couple on a date?

And speaking of disguises…

“Hey wait a minute– you’re not in disguise Yedam,” you realised. You hurried over towards him to pull him behind Junkyu as well, hiding the both of you from the passing people.

“Yah…you both…I’m not some shield for you both to hide behind of, you know,” Junkyu stated, as he rubbed his temples.

“Oh. He’s right.” You said back. “Quick! Do something to conceal your identity!” you ordered Yedam, sounding like his manager now.

Yedam placed his hand on your head, patting it gently, “Aigoo. You worry too much, Y/n. Besides, I’m already in disguise, silly,”

You felt your eyebrow twitch at what he said. How can he call that a disguise?? The only difference he had than his usual appearance was that he had put on a pair of glasses on his face and he somehow pushed his hair back whilst wearing a black curved headband,

What makes him think no one would recognise him?? 

You shake your head at him, “Okay fine. If you say so.”

“Oh?” Suddenly you heard Junkyu say. “Hyunsuk-hyung, Junghwan,”

Yedam and you both peeked out your heads from behind Junkyu, noticing that Hyunsuk and Junghwan was making their way towards the three of you.

“Ah, so it was indeed you, Junkyu-aa” Hyunsuk smiled as he approached you all. “I thought that it looked like you, but I didn’t want to risk calling out your name,”

“Oh, hello hyung. What brings you here?”

“I was just accompanying Junghwan here to get himself a new study table. Somehow he needed a new one,” 

Junghwan nods and smiled as he looked around. “Oh? I thought you’re supposed to be on a date today, hyung. Where’s Y/n-noona?”

“Yeah, what brings you here? I…didn’t expect you both to be dating here,” Hyunsuk adds.

“Well…if you’re both looking for Yedam, he’s behind me with my date,” Junkyu points out with his thumb. He didn’t even bother to answer their questions, he just wanted to have them bring Yedam with them so he could resume his date with you.

Hyunsuk and Junghwan moved to see behind where Junkyu was standing, and surely enough, you and Yedam were crouched on the floor, discussing something with serious looks on both your faces, the both of you speaking in low voices at each other.

“Uhh, what are you both doing?” Hyunsuk asked, not understanding why the both of you were crouching behind Junkyu, whilst Junkyu himself simply stood there like a lamp post, not moving at all.

If anything, this scene was hilarious to Hyunsuk, but he manages to keep himself from laughing at what was going on in front of him.

“Shh Y/n is cutting me a deal right now,” Yedam said as he put a finger to his mouth to signal his hyung not to interrupt.

Hyunsuk shakes his head and ignores Yedam. “Come on Y/n, you’re wearing a skirt right now so I think it’s best if you don’t stay here crouching,” he said as he turns to you now.

“Oh, right. How inappropriate of me. Sorry,” you said as you hurriedly stood up.

Yedam too, stood up from his pose.

“Noona, hello!” Junghwan greeted you happily as soon as he sees you making eye contact with him.

“Oh, hi Junghwan,” you smiled. “And hello the rest of yous. I totally forgot to say hi, didn’t I?” you flash them an apologetic smile.

“It’s fine,” Hyunsuk smiles back at you. “So, you both shopping here?”

“Yeah. It wasn’t planned though. We kind of had an emergency so we switched up our date a little,” 

“Ahh I see,” Hyunsuk nods.

“What a coincidence, noona! I also needed to get a new study table, so I asked for Jihoon-hyung to accompany me here,” Junghwan beamed as he said this. “This must be fate, huh? Bumping into you here,”

You smiled at the maknae, feeling his good energy literally channeling towards all of you. Junghwan is such a good little brother, and he’s always so nice, you thought to yourself.

“Oh? Jihoon-hyung is here too?” Junkyu asked when he heard Junghwan mentioning his best friend’s name.

“Ah, oh no. He was supposed to be here but he’s got food poisoning so he called me to go with Junghwan instead.” Hyunsuk explained.

“Yeah. Hyunsuk-hyung was supposed to go to Lotte World with the rest but he went here with me instead,” Junghwan said apologetically, probably feeling bad for robbing his hyung from a fun trip with the others.

“Aw no, it’s okay. It’s not like I’ve never been there,” the leader chuckled as he pats the maknae’s head.

“Whoa. Everyone else went to Lotte World??” your eyes widened in amazement the moment Junghwan mentioned the theme park.

Yedam, Junghwan, Hyunsuk and Junkyu all exchanged glances with each other, noting that your eyes somehow sparkled when asking about the place.

“Wow, I heard they have really yummy desserts there, oh wow I really need to ask the rest to share me pictures later on,” you continued after Junghwan nods at your question earlier.

You were already whipping your phone out of your bag, ready to send spam texts to your friends. You haven’t been to Lotte World and you were hoping to go there one day so you wanted to really plan out what to do and where to eat and all that so that you could allocate how much to put aside for your spendings.

Yedam nudged Junkyu, silently mouthing to his hyung, “I told you she’s always wanted to go there,”

Junkyu lets out a sigh, making a mental note to just bring you there himself in the future. 

“Anyways,” Junkyu spoke up, gaining your attention as you looked up from your phone. “Did they all went to the theme park? Or was there anyone staying back with Jihoon-hyung?”

“Aww look at you worrying about Jihoon-hyung,” Yedam answered. “Nah, Doyoung and Mashiho-hyung stayed at home with him. The rest all went to Lotte though.”

“That’s good to hear,” Junkyu said in relief. It would be crazy to leave their leader all alone when he’s sick, he thought.

“Oh? But wait– I know I’m here to get a new study table, but why are you both here?” Junghwan pauses as he looks around. “And why are you both at the bedroom section??”

Hyunsuk too suddenly wondered out of curiosity. Both him and Junghwan waited for an answer from either you or Junkyu but before you could open your mouth to respond, Yedam jumped in to answer them instead.

“I don’t know much about why Y/n and Junkyu-hyung are here but I do have something juicy to show you both,” Yedam grinned as he pulls out his phone.

“Ah wait! Yedam, I thought we had a deal!” you whined.

“I’m sorry, but this is really important for me to show them,” he winked at you before pulling both the leader and maknae aside with him as he showed them the video he took of you and Junkyu on the bed earlier.

You sighed to yourself and turned to Junkyu. “Not fair. We had a really good deal too,” you mumbled beside your boyfriend.

Junkyu smiled as he pats your head. “What deal did you make?”

“Well– he offered to delete the video and not tell anyone about what we did if I come over to do chores at their dorm for a week,” you shrugged. “Well, he can kiss that deal goodbye now,”

Both you and Junyku heard the trio gasp and fuss over the video a few feet away from you both.

“Gasp! What the– wait, hold on, replay it again!”

“I know Y/n-noona is older than Junkyu-hyung but I would never imagine her to be this daring,”

“No, wait, let me zoom on them closer— see that?? Look at how she’s staring at him omg,”

You rolled your eyes at them even though you know they weren’t looking at you. This was why you wanted Yedam to delete the video. You know they would fuss over it like a flock of birds fussing over a piece of worm.

And in your defense, it’s not like what happened between you and Junkyu was THAT scandalous, you know?

“Hey, come on guys, don’t dwell on it that much. Nothing happened anyways. Y/n got pushed and accidentally fell on top of me, that’s all, really” Junyku tried to explain.

The three of them turned to look at the both of you, nodding to themselves and then approaching you both again.

“Well, if you say so. Y/n, I know we’re of the same age but let’s admit it– I’d never be brave enough to do what you did,” Hyunsuk jokes, grinning when he sees you pouting and glaring at him in response. 

“Eyyy let’s not embarrass Y/n-noona like this,” Junghwan said, defending you. Although he himself was still smiling cheekily at you and Junkyu.

“Okay guys, cut it out, Y/n is embarrassed enough,” Junkyu said, smiling a little because he was actually kind of enjoying your reaction at being teased.

“Okay, okay. We’ll move on.” Yedam said. “So? I’m assuming that one of you is looking for a bed then?”

“Yeah. We’re shopping for Y/n today. She had a bed emergency,”

“Aww, what happened to your bed, noona?”

“Well, the bed kind of broke so…” you answered.

You were about to explain that the bed was a freebie from the landlord since the day you moved into your place and it was already old by then so the bottom breaking was expected in your point of view but then Yedam and Junghwan were no longer listening in on your explanation the moment you mentioned about your bed breaking.

Yedam and Junghwan exchanged looks with one another before grinning at their Junkyu-hyung.

“Wow Junkyu-hyung. We didn’t expect Y/n’s bed to break that easily,” Yedam smirked.

“Wha–? Weren’t you both listening? Y/n just said that her bed was old–” 

Junkyu didn’t manage to finish his sentence since both the younger members had already dragged him to the side, dialing on their phones to call the other members to share with them the revelation they discovered about their Junkyu-hyung today.

You watched as the three of them fuss over about your broken bed, again, few feet away from you.

“Hm, they weren’t really listening to what I was saying, were they?” you sighed, crossing your arms.

“Well, you had them at the part where you mentioned your bed being broken,” Hyunsuk grinned at you.

You couldn’t even finish your sentence as you paused, not moving an inch. You felt your cheeks heating up. They couldn’t have thought that the reason your bed broke was because you and Junkyu did that, no??

Hyunsuk noticed you tensing up and falling silent, to which he understood that you could’ve felt embarrassed of what you were about to say. He immediately wraps his arm around your shoulder, pulling you close to his side.

“Hey, hey now. They’re just teasing. You know how they are when it comes to Junkyu. Well, Junkyu and you. You both are their favourite couple to tease now. It’s not like they have any other couples to tease on, right?” Hyunsuk said.

You ease yourself into Hyunsuk’s hold, no longer tensed out about what the kids were teasing about.

‘’You’re right. I shouldn’t get too worked up about this,” you chuckled, your head looking down.

You lift your head up to look at him now, “Okay but just to be clear– Junkyu and I haven’t done anything like that, okay? I mean, we’re still new in this relationship too, so–”

“It’s okay, Y/n. And even if you guys did, you guys are a couple. It’s not like the rest of us have the right to tell you both what to do and not do,” 

You sighed. “I know. I just…” you shake your head. “Thanks for being so supportive, Hyunsuk. You’re such a sweet friend,” you smiled softly at him, as you rest your head against his shoulder.

Hyunsuk hummed in response to what you said, pulling you closer to him, his hand gently caressing your hair.

After 10 seconds of letting you lean against him, Hyunsuk gently taps your head, telling you to save your boyfriend now.

“That’s enough of our time together, Y/n. Your boyfriend probably needs saving now,” he chuckles as you lift your head from his shoulder. 

You looked over not far from the both of you, Junkyu, Yedam and Junghwan all still going over some kind of debate. You could clearly see how Yedam and Junghwan were enjoying their ganging up on Junkyu since Junkyu’s facial expressions showed him all exasperated from explaining that he wasn’t the reason your bed broke.

You turned to look at Hyunsuk, him doing the same to you. “Well, that was nice small talk, Hyunsuk. I’m glad we ran into each other today,” you smiled at him. “I’m gonna go save my man now,” 

You left Hyunsuk’s side and called out towards the younger boys, “Okay now, kiddos, Leave my boyfriend alone. He’s gonna be all traumatized if you guys keep teasing him like this,”

“Aww come on Y/n, why are you both denying it? We all know what went down between you two,” Yedam grinned, trying to drag you into his tease party.

“Nu uh, you’re not dragging me into this,” you shake your head. “Besides, don’t talk about this kind of stuff in front of Junghwan! He’s still a kid too, you know?”

Junkyu lowered down his stance and whispered in your ear to which you gasped out loud after hearing what he said. “Oh heck no, gimme your phone Yedam, it has too many evidence in there–”

Hyunsuk watches the four of you continue with all your teasing and bargains with one another, smiling to himself, feeling like a proud dad just watching over his kids fighting over a game.

He lifts his hand to shoulder, the one you leaned on earlier, letting his hand rest on it.

He was happy that he was able to talk to you casually, keeping you close to him like just now. He was also glad that he had the strength to ask you to leave his side and go back to your boyfriend because if he hadn’t done so…he knew he would’ve kept you close to him much longer and that would’ve been...wrong.

Hyunsuk takes in a deep breath, exhaling it all out, exhaling all his desire to want you be by his side alongside the breath he lets go of.

As soon as the both of you were headed towards the plushies section, you both heard Junghwan calling out from behind– “Aw hey! They’re heading towards the plushies! I want to go see that section too,”

Both you and Junkyu turn around at the same time, instantly meeting eyes with the trio from earlier.

“Uhh, I thought you guys left earlier? What are you all doing here?” you asked.

“Yeah, are you all…following me and Y/n??”

“What? No, no! It was just a coincidence! We parted ways but somehow we ended up in this area, and coincidentally the both of you were walking in front of us so,” Hyunsuk explained, an apologetic look on his face.

You exchanged glances with Junkyu briefly before turning back to look at your friends. “Hmm. I guess we could all just walk together. Since we’re all here, you know?” you shrug.

“Yay! Let’s go look at the plushies, noona!” Junghwan cheered as he pulled you along with him, leaving his hyungs.

“But…we’re on a date…” Junkyu said quietly. 

Hyunsuk heard this, and so he walks up towards the younger boy and pats his back. “Sorry man, we’ll leave right after we get Junghwan’s stuff, aight?”

“Yeah, hyung. We didn’t mean to barge in on your date,” Yedam adds.

“No no, it’s fine. Let’s just head over to them. Y/n seems happy anyways,”Junkyu responds softly, a small smile forming on his lips as he watches you and Junghwan laughing together, picking up each one of the plushies and showing it to one another.

After running around and exploring each of the departments available at the place, the boys and you were already headed towards the checkout counters. 

Junghwan lined up behind you with his box of study table in his hands.

“You sure you don’t want to pay along with us, Hwannie? We can have the items delivered together,” you offered, as Junkyu helped you scan the barcode on the giant box of the bed frame you chose, along with the heavy roll of your mattress.

Junghwan shakes his head, “Nah, it’s fine noona. I’ll just do checkout on my own,”

“Okay then.” you turned to face Junkyu again, checking the self-checkout screen if all of the items have been scanned. 

“Hmm, are you sure these chocolates are enough for the boys? Maybe I should get them something else too?” you asked your boyfriend, worried that the rest of your Treasure friends would not be satisfied with what you got them.

“Aww they’ll be okay with whatever you get them, Y/n. Besides, the Ikea chocolates taste good too,” Junkyu assured you.

You narrowed your eyes at him. “I didn’t know you eat their chocolates too,”

“Yeah, you had some in your fridge, remember? I just took a piece to try it, and well, it’s not too bad,” he shrugs.

You gave his arm a light squeeze, “Hm. So you’re eating chocolates from my fridge now,”

Junkyu smiles at you, his head tilting as he stares at your face with a dreamy gaze.

You too, caught yourself hypnotized with his eyes, allowing yourself to stare back at him.

“Oh god, just hurry up will ya?” the both of you heard a voice groaning.

Both you and Junkyu snapped out of your trances and turned to see Yedam, beside Junghwan, his phone in his hand just like earlier today.

“Gosh Yedam, one of these days I might as well steal your phone from you,” you scowled at him.

Yedam grinned in return as he lowers his phone, “Heh. Come on Y/n, you know the both of you are our source of entertainment now, right?”

You rolled your eyes at him. “Sure, sure,” you turn back to Junkyu, noticing that he has already made the payment with his card. 

“Oh? Junkyu, you didn’t have to pay for the whole thing–”

“I’m gonna go send the bed frame and mattress to the delivery counter, okay? I’ve already set the delivery to tonight by the way. So you can just hang on to the stuff we bought for the rest, okay?” he smiles as he says this.

“Ah, uh, sure,” you walked forward, gathering the chocolate bars and the plushy into your small shopping bag. 

“I’ll be right back,” Junkyu said, before leaning in to kiss you on your cheek.

You were taken aback by this, the fact that your boyfriend actually kissed you in public. 

You noticed Junkyu’s complexion turning red, as he backed away from you and pushed the trolley towards the delivery counter.

You raised your hand to your cheek, feeling his kiss still lingering on your skin.

“Noona, how do we pick the delivery date again?” Junghwan asked you, him facing the checkout screen.

You turn around and move closer to him and help him with the delivery details before he finally manages the payment on his own.

“Thanks noona,” he said after he’s settled with his purchase.

“You’re welcome. Aigoo our boy’s doing his own shopping. What a grown up you are, hwannie,” you couldn’t help but to coo at the young boy in front of you.

I see a line forming over there,” Yedam said as he points at the line of people, Junkyu too, standing in the line with his trolley in front of him.

“Ah. Yedam’s right. You should go, Junghwan,” you agreed.

“Okay. I’ll see you guys at the entrance outside?” Junghwan said before leaving with his box of study table in his hand.

“Oh! You know what, we forgot to tell Junkyu-hyung that we’ll all gather at the entrance,” Yedam said.

“Oh right! I’ll just text him—” you said as you reach for your phone in your bag but then Yedam had beat you to it.

“Nah, I don’t think Junkyu-hyung would check his phone when he’s lining up. I’ll go and let him know. The both of you just go ahead and wait outside at the entrance,” Yedam said to you and Hyunsuk, sounding more like an order rather than an offer actually.

“B-but—” you voiced out but Yedam was already walking away from you and Hyunsuk.

The both of you turned to look at each other. 

“Well…I guess we’ll just go to the entrance then?” Hyunsuk suggests.

“I guess.” you shrug. “Let’s go then,”

He steps in front of the guy, blocking his view of me. “You know this bum?” He asks out to me while standing directly in front of the man. “Bum? He was about to face me but Junkyu blocks his way once again. And seeing the look on his face, he wasn’t having it either. “Tch, whatever” the guy gives up knowing it wasn’t worth getting in trouble for.

Walking far away enough from our view junkyu finally faces me. “You okay?” I hung my head low at his question. “Yea I-uhh I’m good” he holds my face up to meet his and checks for any injuries “good” he let’s go of my face, the warmth of his hand lingering as he buries them back into his pockets. “How’d you know I was here?” I finally spoke after a minute of silence. “Well I just asked around your co-workers and I-“ “you know what I meant” he sighs knowing how I wouldn’t buy his excuses. “Well you know I like you, and I was having a bad day so I wanted to see you which was a good thing cuz that guy came here and if I wasn’t here you-“ all the while I was staring at him. i think we’re all well aware that our poor baby is just working his butt off to survive high school and i want to commend him immensely for all the hard work he’s put in academically while balancing the idol life. i don’t think i could ever survive a lifestyle as fast-paced as the one this boy lives and i’m so extremely proud of him for it. that being said, something tells me that junghwan would just absolutely appreciate any help and support you would give him while he’s balancing practice and school work. whether it be quizzing him for the next big exam he has or helping him out with chores just so that he doesn’t have to worry about them, he will fall for you a little bit more than he already has. he might not outright ask you for help, but the way that you somehow pick up on what he needs without him saying anything has him feeling a little more butterflies in his stomach just because of the way you know him so well without him even having to mention anything.
