9 Jul 2021, contd.
I FINISHED READING THROUGH THE SONATAAAA!!!! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ I thought the last few pages would be the hardest (as I tend to find for romantic era music, which I usually play - sorry, Mozart ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ฌ) and that it would have me stuck (I was a little bit scared learning this would take much longer than I anticipated), but it turns out the ending is very similar to the beginning, technique-wise, so doing the same stuff the second time around wasn't as difficult! All that's left to do is practice the different fingerings for the ending, memorize it, and then I can start polishing it up and practicing performing ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ’—
Also, apparently the sheet music of this movement by the Mutopia Project has the left hand of mm. 31-32 (below) an octave higher than the three recordings I've heard of this and sheet music of this song on imslp.org? ๐Ÿ˜•
Tumblr media
So anyway, I printed out another set of sheet music for this via imslp and that's the one I used to finish learning the movement... Idk, just a heads-up in case anyone wants to play this piece too โ˜บ
And now onto some Chopin! (I know @constancezin has been waiting for this ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—)

13 Jul 2021 // Still trying to play both the Mozart sonata and Raindrop prelude consistently well - as always, some parts are easier than others, but hopefully I'll be able to record a snippet of something soon ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
Day 8 - What is the best thing about studyblr in your opinion?
I love that the community seems to be really kind, open, and willing to help each other and be there for each other as best they can, sharing their wisdom and experiences through thoughtful, practical advice and moral/emotional support - it's really sweet ๐Ÿ’— I also love that studyblr's format allows one person's knowledge and ideas to be shared with a wider audience 'cause it's when ideas and knowledge are more widely shared that more people can do cool (and good) things with their learning (I've learned much from studyblr posts ๐Ÿ‘Œ)! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

15 Jul 2021 // I recorded a snippet today! It's probably my shortest one yet, but it's a pretty fast song (1st movement of Mozart's k545 sonata) and I'm still trying to string all the sections together (I keep stopping at or restarting sections so it sounds choppy... I should slow down and be more patient with my progress so I can really focus in on those trouble spots ๐Ÿ˜…). I'll be posting today's recording in time for Song Snippet Sunday (it's like WIP Wednesday but on Sunday) and tagging all my musician friends, so lemme know if you want me to tag you too! ๐Ÿ’—
Day 10 - What is one thing you wished you could change about studyblr?
I guess this goes back to my answer for Day 9... Not everything needs to have the perfect color scheme, layout, or lighting, and as long as I can understand it, I can write my notes messy, sans fancy lettering, if I want to XD I guess just the pressure some of us may feel to follow aesthetic studyblr trends even if it doesn't really click with our authentic selves or our irl lifestyle. I mean, if what you wanted to get out of studyblr was learning how to make things more aesthetic and getting practice at it, then by all means go for it! But for me personally, the main purpose of having a studyblr is to better keep myself accountable for studying the things I want to study but keep putting off, so aesthetics aren't my top priority. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I'm probably still going to be continuing my break from piano today so the eczema can heal, but here's a short snippet of the 1st movement of Mozart's K545 sonata I recorded earlier this past week ๐Ÿ˜Š
Apparently I had to change the Garageband settings on the "Steinway piano" instrument for Mozart/early classical era stuff 'cause the settings I normally use for music with pedal throughout made it sound like it was played from underwater...? Maybe it was too bass-y? Idk. Does anyone else have to use different settings for different music styles to keep their midi sounding like an acoustic instrument? And is there such a thing as a piano setting that works for all music styles? If anyone knows anything about music production, please enlighten me, I am an absolute noob at this XD
Tagging @lauralikespoetry @araniaexumae @protect-chopin-at-all-costs @help-i-am-a-music-major @elizabeth-dicewielder @anyone who wants to share their music WIPs!

Update! I just realized the second and third pages are mostly broken chords and scalar stuff that you don't have to play hands together?!?!?! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ This is gonna be so funnnn ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„
Also, who knew Adventure Doggo was such a good paperweight as well as a really fluffy stuffie?? ๐Ÿ’—
