do you have a particularly stand-out "oh i saw that as a gif" moment? bc i've recently been watching "Kabenari of the Iron Fortress" and finally found out where that gif of the buff lady taking off her vest to pull a very large steampunk train lever is from. I'm kinda salty so much of the show is glowing zombies flipping through the air when we could be focusing on the large train buttons and how tactile they are, but that's beside the point.

I could've told you Kabaneri was ass.

And to answer your question, I think I got into Monogatari of all things cause of random gifs.

Oooo I gotta admit, I'm prettyyy basic, but I do have a great couple ones to list off!

Naruto's the number one love of my life! It's like comfort trash food!

Cowboy Bebop and Eva have some of the most AMAZING filmmaking I've ever seen! GOD and the former's story makes me cry every time!

Naming off some more classics, Samurai Champloo, Kabenari of the Iron Fortress (by the same director as DN!!), Hunter x Hunter (although I can't get past the chimera ant arc, I'm so sorry)

And with the new popular stuff, I LOVE Demon Slayer and MHA, although I've fallen off of the latter lately! I'm trying really hard to get into JJK but I haven't had the time lately.

And BANANA FISH SHATTERED MY HEART (can't recommend it enough!!)

I'm definitely missing a bunch, but that's a pretty solid list I think!

My advice to Zack Snyder.

My advice to Zack Snyder. 

First off I want to offer my condolences on the loss of his daughter, Autumn earlier this year. Chances are because of that he won't be directing any new movies for awhile. But my advice is that if and when he does return to directing, he should take a break from Comic Book Movies and try doing some Anime.  I feel like Snyder's style is better suited to adapting Anime into Live Action, he's clearly been influenced by Anime already.  I did a post on wanting LA versions of Anime to be Colorful, and Snyder I feel would do that, the muted coloring in Man of Steel was the result of Nolan's influence, Watchman shows he is great at directing vibrantly colored films. He got attached to a adapting Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead at some point, who knows if it's actually still in active production.  I think doing something with no SciFi or Fantasy aspect is not going to be Snyder's strong suit at all.  Either way as a former Libertarian-Capitalist and current Libertarian-Communist the last thing I want is more exposure for Rand's so called Libertarianism. I have enjoyed every Snyder film I've seen except Dawn of The Dead. And all things considered I greatly appreciate what he's done in establishing the new DC Universe.  But Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman better reflect where I want that universe to go moving forward.  And Justice League will finish Snyder's vision effectively being the third film of his Superman Trilogy. Snyder's approach of being visually experimental while also having a dark tone isn't what audiences expect from Comic Book Movies.  We're more used to Dark=Gritty and Realistic for those. Not every Anime would be ideal for Snyder, I feel like Nolan would be best for Noir, and Gundam by the same people handling Star Wars.  And I'd overall prefer Women be entrusted with Magical Girl adaptations.   However.... Madlax, Lupin III depending on which kind of Lupin Anime they're drawing on, Future Diary, Attack on Titan, Kabenari of the Iron Fortress, maybe Code Geass.  Are examples of Anime where if a Western Live Action version is ever green-lite, I think perhaps Snyder might be the best guy for the job.  I would also sorta add just about any Nasuverse story, including Canaan which may not actually count as Nasuverse.

Popular shows and movies release multiple trailers, not just one. So I was actually wondering if Wit Studios would actually be so f*cking good to us to give us another season 2 trailer :O I mean, Kabenari of the Iron Fortress released multiple trailers if I'm not mistaken right!? do you know how many times I've been pressing replay on the season 2 trailer??? I want more.

Oh we will definitely get another trailer at some point. I mean, technically, a 2nd trailer already exists, it just hasnt been uploaded for some strange reason.And although Ponycanyon only has 2 snk season 1 trailers uploaded, I believe this video  to be another official trailer, subbed by Funimation (I cant access their videos though so this isnt confirmed). It should also be noted that Ponycanyon doesnt have all pvs for the recap movies uploaded either, so I think we can just assume that they’re not very good at sharing all the content directly lol.

So yes, I’m fairly confident we’ll get another, more expansive PV down the road. Typically in anime, the long pv’s closer to release include mostly lots of new staff information; like an overview of the returning and additional seiyuus, and other staff additions (new scenes and music are often part of it as well). I think its safe to say that we will get another video featuring this kind of information. 

But at the same time, this trailer featured an absurd amount of footage thats stil far away. First trailers typically dont feature footage from beyond the first few episodes, and here we go all the way to the rogue/armored fight 2 volumes down the road. Most major action sequences have already been revealed in the trailer, and I dare say we’ve seen enough already. Lets not go too far into spoiler territory. Whilst I ofc wouldn’t mind seeing more footage, I think we’ve all seen enough already to be convinced of the season’s quality. And there’re only 3 months left of wait. I personally don’t think we need another PV, but I think its likely that we’ll get another one.
