What are Arin and Sora's thoughts on Kaida?

They like her. Sora is cool with her, and Arin is fanboying like crazy bc 'Oh my FSM Lloyd has a sister!!!'

So, Kaida is the Elemental Master of Spirit. Maybe it's just me, but Kaida's powers remind me a lot of Lloyd's, at least the way they work.

Energy is basically the force that surrounds us and/or the essence of life, at least as far as I understand it, and Kaida can precisely control that essence. Lloyd's powers should also be able to manipulate, snatch or give that essence to any living being, as well as see auras and know if someone is lying or not, although Lloyd has the healing factor added and can use it effectively In a fight. (There are fanfics where they explain this and the extent of Lloyd's powers better than I can, but I think you get the idea).

With that in mind, are Kaida's powers a branch or a sub-element of Lloyd's, (spirit being a sub-element of energy)? ¿Something similar to how lightning is a sub-element of wind and storm?

I love talking about elemental powers so here's my explanation of how both elements work:

The difference is, while Lloyd can create pure energy, what Kaida actually does is just bend people's souls.

Kaida's powers are limited exclusively to controlling the auras of living beings and her own. She can see auras (even tell if someone is lying, or is an elemental master), absorb/increase people's life energy, steal it to use for fighting/protects herself. However, she ALWAYS depends on another living being to be able to use them, she cannot create her own energy (she can project her spirit but that is an ability I will explain another time). During a fight she can technically gain "energy" whenever it is being stolen from an opponent and accumulate it to use later.

While Lloyd can heal himself, in my opinion his powers have more to do with pure energy/creation than control the essence of souls/spirits. He does not depend on other living beings to use them, he can even transmit his energy to objects or people at will. So it's just apeaers, at least in my hc, that his green power is in reality a "weaker" version of the golden power.

Simply put, Lloyd (or even Jay) are walking batteries and Kaida is a little bridge between the living and the dead.

As The Years Pass By: A fic currently in the process of being rewritten/reworked but still chock full of next-gen Dragons Rising goodness! And it stars the one, the only, Jenna and Ethan from @rainofthetwilight!!!! This fic made me fall in love with her characters and I've loved reading/seeing/drawing these two adorable kids ever since!!!!

Dad!Jay AU by @taddymason: An AU so good I'm still catching up on reading it bit by bit to savor it for longer *-*)9 All the stories in this series are worth the read alone for the accumulation of taddy's character Kaida (a girl who needs no introduction–she's that awesome guys, trust me) but also the eventual father-daughter bond with amnesiac!Jay that is gripping and engaging aaaaall the wall through!!

I Carve This Poem From the Harshest of Storms: Another I'm not caught up with YET (a running theme for this Fic Week, it seems hgfhgfdfgds i'm sorry I'm slow and have a short-attention span). It follow two fascinating peeps in The Administration following The Merge, and without giving too much away, @theartsyswissapple ‘s voices for the characters just POP and make them feel SO real and it's been intriguing to read so far so yeah others should give it a try too!!!

What it Takes for You to See Me: A Spinjitzu bros story with added FSM and Mystake goodness too!!! This is one I've just started reading myself, but you know I love some throwbacks to Wu and Garmadon's past! And the OC here, @marhan-writes-n-draws's Amka, fits into the setting like a glove!!

Honeycomb: Gotta give a shoutout to @miqotepotatoe's Lucy while I'm here too!! Some short, sweet snippets of the Ninja Team's best (and most yellow) cheerleader!! I love her dynamic with everyone, and especially Cole <3

The Space Between Us: A very deep and heart-wrenching introspective into @k1ngtok's characters Lynda and Jamie, Master(s) of Space. It's story about siblings and bonds at its core, but also be mindful of tag of you're looking to dig deeper! (it also takes place in legacyverse technically but that's neither here or there I promise)

Flowery Language Another super funny and endearing story by King following Jesse (hey it's my boy!!) and Antonia on the case to discover who's been leaving flowers in Jesse's locker (spoiler: it's not Cole lmao). It's actually a semi-sequel to this old thing *I* wrote however long ago, but thaaaat's not required reading (though it does help). If you want more of a fix for the Jesse-Antonia duo + more of Jamie, this is the story to read!

Learning to Love (Again): Yet another King fic based in legacyverse (a coincidence), this one kiiiind of takes place during Season 2/Book 3 and follows Jamie on his quest to truly show his friends (Nya, Antonia, Harumi, Jesse, and...Olivia?!) just how much he cares about them through the power of love languages over the course of a week and it is AWESOOOOOOOOME!! Soooo many touching and feel-good moments, mostly soft slice-of-life with teenagers being teenagers, and is a great pick-me up when your soul is feeling sad ;w;)/ I advocate for this one just for the warm soft friendshippy-feelings it gives me alone!!! AAAAAA—

Something About Morning Glories: Jesse (oop there he is again) takes it upon to himself to comfort Jay after the latter finds himself concerned about something following obtaining his True Potential. A duo I desperately want to write more about but can't yet, so this little bit of foundation for their relationship will have to suffice for now ;w;)/

Appearance:

Kaida is a tall fair skinned girl with dark red hair with bright red ombre and a blonde bang with heterochromatic greenish blue and emerald green eyes.

As Cure Dragon hee hair became bright red and slightly curled and her bangs became lighter blonde, her eyes is now heterochromatic gold and violet.

Background:

Kaida is born to Misako and Garmadon, unfortunately due to Garmadon's descent into darkness Misako didn't have a choice but abandoned her kids at the Boarding School for Bad Boys and it's sister school Boarding School for Bad Girls to protect them for him.

Her life there is absolute hell cause the majority of them have bullied her daily like splashing water at her, throwing food, pushing her down the stairs and even went as far as putting poison into her food.

And if anything she doesn't really care anymore and became numb to the pain, she ran away overnight and accidentally bumped into a mirror deep into the woods and ended up in Twisted Wonderland.

She was founded by a lovely couple named Aiko, Hiiragi and their daughter Charlotte, and ended up being adopted by them.

But unfortunately happiness didn't last long as the Gravedawn Village ended up being attacked and her parents being killed, leaving her and Charlotte as the sole survivors of the attack, which is worse when both of them we're 6 when the village was attacked.

Luckily they were rescued by Lilia and ended up being raised in the Valley of Thorns.

Both her and Charlotte ended up coming PreCure at the age of 13 but it only lasted for 3 years before Charlotte died due to an attack leaving Kaida all alone.

Personality:

Kaida is a calm, deadly quiet and almost emotionless girl who only spoke a few words and very difficult person for people to make her angry.

However she wasn't always like that, during her youth she used to be a shy and timid girl but because of the treatment she got when she was in BSFBG she slowly became like this.

She has a sense of justice and has good intentions but she doesn't know how to execute them properly.

It allows her to summon golden flames(creation) & violet flames(destruction)

Retrospectives

Kaida is staring at her diary, hand on her forehead thinking about Sebek's behaviour.

He's always acting strange, but now he's even mode stranger, though he's not the only one.

Ace, Epel, Minako have also acting strange too but most importantly Deuce's. Wierd, with her hearing, she should be able to know about the reasons why, but it didn't?

Now that she thought about it, there we're like 6 overblots this year, she was never there when Riddle, Leona and Azul overblot but she was there when Jamil, Vil and Idia overblot.

Not to mention Haru also acted strange, they almost tired, and she's worried for them though she never showed through her expression, she usually showed it through her body language.

Now that she thought about it Deuce was also acting strange too, she knows he liked her and she likes him too, if you ask her, she pointed to her ear.

She sigh as she finished writing in her diary and putting down her pen, she looked out the window, it was nighttime now. Looks like she's going to stay up night again how many times? She doesn't know....

The next day:

History class is over and now lunch has arrived, she sat at the table with the rest of Midnight Rose PreCure discussing their plans to defeat Ciaran secretively since they didn't want anyone to know, especially how the fairies wanted to keep the whole Precure thing a secret.

What about her? She's still a PreCure and her being one of the most experienced ones ended up being a support pillar for them, no she did not get attached to them if she did they may ended up the same way as Charlotte did. (Yeah totally didn't attached to them -_-)

"How do we deal with one of the generals?"

"I don't know!"

"Maybe we should split up."

"If we did then they take advantage of it and summoned the Minions of The Dead again."

"Maybe we should do it without them knowing?"

As they ended up discussing what plans they have, Kaida is trying to hear what the First Years(Ace, Deuce, Jack, Epel, Sebek and Minako) when she ended up hearing something that shook her "Yumeri" and "Overblot".

She realized that she forgot something. The next concert.

"Guys, have we forgot something.." She said, all eyes we're on her, her faerie which is a porcelain doll named Merria stared at her.

"What is it, Kaida?" The fairie said.

"The concert?"

And all hell breaks loose.

"Oh cheesecakes we forgot!"

"Don't worry I have the lyrics." She said as she pulled up a stack of paper, it's the lyrics for the next lyrics with the name "I Am Rain"

"Oh thank you Kaida! I will composed it today." Hokori said as Kaida handed over the lyrics.

"I'll meet you guys over for practice.. I have something to do.." She said as she leaves and her fairie followed her.

"Okay bye ٩(ര̀ᴗര́)ᵇʸᵉ!" Taiyou yelled cheerfully which unintentionally hurt Kaida's ears a little, ouch.

She ended up hearing a little bit of Sebek's voice, and before she knew it she ended up hearing their conversations and ended up in a very dark corridor of the school.

"You heard about Moonlight Bloom having a concert next week?" That's Ace's voice

"Yeah, not gonna lie, I was excited for them." Jack's voice

"It's means it's going to a perfect for another overblot!" Sebek's voice?! Her eyes widened in shock.

"Wonder who is going to overblot tonight?" Minako?! She knew she shouldn't be surprised that Minako is Lilith's daughter, yet why is this suprise her..

"Yumeri is the best choice, since she told me about her past." DEUCE?! Her eyes widened as she heard the revelation, is Deuce always like this? She thought he's going to be a great honor student and a police officer in the future...

"Heh? I never thought you be like this Deuce.." She said softly, no one heard it and left.

Sure she can't remember a lot during her time in Ninjago, and she didn't want to know about that, and is used to people dying around her, but betraying her... She wasn't used to that and it's from her crush... At least he's alive so she didn't have to worry about that.. Yet the thought of betraying someone makes her sick to her stomach..

She clutched her neon green ribbon of her uniform, feeling betrayed..

Unexpected Betrayal

"Y-Yumeri-chan?"

The pinknette said softly, as she's trying to proses what she just heard.

Her best friend Yumeri have overblotted in the collosium and the a bird have told her about it.

It was utter chaos,from what she heard from the bird the students we're having trouble sleeping as they we're having violent nightmares.

Then she started running towards the collosium got tired pretty fast, cursed her almost non-existent stamina and the fact that the collosium was a bit far have made it worse for her.

She stopped running and nearly fell to the ground but Samara managed to catch her.

"S-Samara-chan...." She said panting

"My lady, what's going on? Why are you running?" The vampire butler said

"Y-Yumeri-chan, she overblotted over there." She said as she pointed her finger towards the collosium, Samara looked at it and was startled by the small red sky there.

"Hang on my lady." She said, before the pinknette could say anything they now at the collosium and it was a utter mess.

Yumeri is standing in the middle, in her overblotted giggling psychotically.

"Samara-chan, you go wake up the others, I go after her." She said and the vampire butler nodded and left to help the students, leaving her alone.

She took a very deep breath, and before she immediately started running somebody grabbed her arm, it was Ace.

But she managed to fight back by kick him in the stomach and ran away from him.

After the fight

The 3 of them in the nurse's Yumeri were sobbing and Sonomi is comforting while Samara is finding the bandages.

"I-I''m so sorry Sonomi-chan, I-I don't know t-that I did-"

"Shhhh, it's okay it's not your fault.." The pinknette said.

"Found the bandages-"

Suddenly the door was slammed open and it's Vil and Riddle.

"Heard what happened from Kaida, you 3 are alright?" Riddle asked.

The 3 of them nodded as Yumeri continue sobbing unto Sonomi's arms and she looks at both of them worried, just how many overblots are happening this year?

Meanwhile Kaida was behind the door of the nurse's office, she was the one that brought them here thanks to her hearing, now she is furious towards Ace, Deuce, Epel, Jack, Sebek and Minako.

Meanwhile at the Ramshackle dorm, all the other Ramshackle residents are out doing their own thing except for Haru who stayed.

They were literally laughing at their asses off of the fact that Ace who is like 5'7 is kick by a girl who is like 4'10.

"S-still can't believe that you got kick by a little one bwahahaha!"

"Shut up! She was a bit strong!"

"A-Ace.... Epel...?" A voice said softly behind Kaida, they saw Sonomi clearly looking horrified.

She was so terrified that she ran out of the dorm.

Then Kaida march towards Ace and slapped him on the cheek.

"The nerve, you love her yet you did this to her best friend in this fucking campus?!"

This confuses Ace, he didn't remember liking her. "Of course you didn't you bitch you have been staring at her for hours in the classroom, and always get flustered when she smiles at you, you asshole!"

Ace was in total silent as what he heard, he was in love with the pinknette and he wasn't aware of it.

"If you 7 did this again to me or any of her closest friends, I'll burn you all to death you got that?!"

Then she slammed the door shut behind her, she took a deep breath after the sudden outburst, then she saw Sonomi clearly looking upset.

"Upset of what you saw and heard just now?" Kaida asked, the pinknette nodded..

"There's no way he would do this right... I know he can be a jerk but he wouldn't go that far right? Right?!" She said looking at Kaida with tears in her eyes as the ombre haired girl sigh and pulled her to a hug.

"I'm sorry Sonomi."
