So, last night Antony Starr shared this on his IG story:

What does this mean? It’s anyone’s guess. Given what he’s shared to his stories recently, I think he’s been going through a really tough time lately. And the whole Mortal Kombat mess didn’t exactly help.

To clarify: Antony made a post on Saturday sharing pictures of him with his dogs. A fan commented asking if he would be voicing Homelander in MK1, to which he simply replied “nope.”

Of course, it’s now all over twitter with tons of news articles about it much to the anger and disappointment of fans. Not only that, but tweeting him directly about it.

I’m not saying this post to his story is in relation to the MK thing, but it does go to show that fans can be the best and worst part of a fandom. There’s still time where he could be brought in to do the voice work, the strikes are now over and the Homelander DLC doesn’t drop till March. We also don’t know the circumstances. He might not even have been asked to do the voice. We simply don’t know, but attacking Antony directly won’t achieve anything. He could also be under a NDA.

There’s now concern over his story post as it just reads like he’s at his wits end with the world, everyone and everything, and I truly don’t blame him. Aren’t we all?

Please, please, please take this as a reminder to be respectful towards actors. We don’t know them and they don’t know us. They aren’t our friends, they don’t owe us anything. And even if it seems like they’re living the good life with fame and fortune, they’re still human just like us. Attacking actors because we don’t get our way does NOT help.

And as an added reminder: Antony wasn’t paid for his Gen V Cameo. He attended set and filmed on his days off. He did it for the fans, as did Karl Urban.

Now again, to clarify: I’m not saying it’s because of fans that Antony made this story post. My point is that attacking him with question after question as to why he isn’t “giving us what we want”, isn’t helping.

I truly hope he’ll be okay and has folk around him to support him. But it sounds like the poor guy just needs his space, and we need to respect and give him that.

To anyone else feeling this way, sending tons of love and hugs your way. Please know you aren’t alone, and if you need to talk to someone, I’m here. As is my Homelander ( @hom3land3r ). While I am in no way a professional, I can absolutely lend an ear. And if Homelander gives you comfort, he’ll also be there for those that need it.

karl gets a snapchat and posts on it semi regularly like not all the time but, you know, maybe a few pictures a day with like two days where he doesn't post anything and then sapnap and george and dream are all together for banter live and all of a sudden he starts posting a lot of pictures of sapnap doing random things - brushing his teeth, eating cereal, being on his phone, napping in weird positions (there are a lot of these) - and then nothing at all, meaning he's just sitting smiling and bam karl's snapped a picture, and it's fine and normal bc it's all interspersed with pictures of like the set and george and dream bc he's obviously there too and just random things about his day, and sapnap is posting the occasional picture of his shoes and the clouds and whatever and then right in the middle there's like the most loving adoring candid of karl with like wondrous lighting and it's clear he doesn't know he's on camera and his smile is so so bright and he's beautiful. and then sapnap deletes it. and keeps posting his random stuff like nothing happened. fast forward a few weeks and all of a sudden karl is posting snapchats of sapnap and him and sapnap and everyone is like omg meetup?? but then they see that karl is posting from camera roll but he's posting A LOT OF PHOTOS which means his gallery is not only full of the two of them but also just sapnap which is fine we're all fine and then all of a sudden karl posts the most boyfriends in love picture of them you've ever seen in your life and sapnap starts posting pictures he's taken of them and it escalates like first it's just them together and then karl posts a picture of sapnap tucked into his chest and then sapnap posts a video of them walking and holding hands etc etc and they're flirting in their captions and addressing the other and then it's dead silence for like a day. and then karl posts a picture of him leaning in and kissing sapnap on the cheekand sapnap's eyes are closed and hes so so in love. like it's obvious they're in love. and the caption is i love you. and sapnap posts a picture of him smiling at the camera with the softest expression ever. and then like some days later karl tweets a screenshot of his text messages with sapnap asking him out on a date and the caption is "i said no" and sapnap is like "that's not what you said but it's ok i still love you" and then replies to himself like "*we" and that's where i woke up

It was kinda nothingburger but he made a multilingual smp joke on chuckle sandwich which opened the twitter floodgates enough to get some good old karl neg on there and so later he on priv he tweeted that dream was ripped as a reply to something unrelated, thereby breaking the nine month long silence on mildly pos dream mentions. Anyway looks like twitter momentarily shoved his spine straight enough for him to imply he knows who dream is and might even be his friend but we'll see if there are any lasting effects

I’m a little annoyed with Karl replying to Q’s tweet but more annoyed with the fact that people only ever seem to get mad when it’s him… Foolish has been playing on the Q.SMP every single day yet apparently it’s Karl who’s the son of Satan for replying to Q. Am I frustrated with him? Yeah. I think that was poor taste. But at the same time I’m also frustrated at the double standard between him and Foolish. Idk.

(Obviously friend breakups are messy and we shouldn’t judge ccs for trying to navigate this the best they can because at the end of the day they’re doing their best while stuck in the middle of this shitshow :()

okay so this entire situation fucking sucks and it’s frustrating and confusing to us why dreams friends can barely show him public support and there are probably a lot of things playing into that that i don’t want to get into rn. however, getting mad at everyone who’s friends with dream showing support towards q rn will only make us miserable and is also the opposite of what dream wants. we have to try and be the bigger people here and not turn this into a war with two “sides” because then we’re essentially no better than the q stans who are fuelling the harassment that is going on right now. sure, i am also super frustrated with the entire situation rn and even i got annoyed with karl for his tweet (he is literally my comfort streamer) but the situation also fucking sucks for him as well and he is doing the exact same thing as dream in the end which is reaching out to his friend. i also want to scream and tell everyone who doesn’t voice their public support of dream to fuck themselves but in the end that will leave us very very miserable and we should try and be like dream and not fight hate with hate right now. essay over <3

Idk just think it’s weird that Q hasn’t spoken out 🤷🏾‍♀️. People getting doxxed and mess (from what I’ve seen/ heard mainly Q’s “fandom” (sorry don’t know the right word to use)) for simply just for being excited for the USMP. Like he can’t just tweet “I don’t condone this” or whatever?

Even about the messaging thing. Haven’t MULTIPLE people tried and contact him with no response (besides Karl)? It is weird that a lot of people tried reaching out and not one response back just saying “I’m ok, just don’t wanna talk” or something.

But me personally (who hasn’t had the time to really look into this) I didn’t see it as “drama” I saw it as “hey this is what has been going on, and I’ve seen what has happened to the people in both communities”

Ok so I'm taking this at face value so if I'm interpreting anything you've said wrongly do feel free to correct me. And I'm sorry if my response seems all over the place I just wanted to reply as soon as possible.

I think in general it is unfair to expect quackity to reply. Is it the most emotionally mature thing to do? No absolutely not. And I'm sure he's aware of it as well. Do I think the whole situation is ridiculous? Yeah. Do I think it was the best move on Q's part? Probably not. Do I get why he did that? Also yes.

Anyway, I think that in a situation like this, where dream has said some pretty passive aggressive things about quackity, both on Twitter and on stream even when they were supposedly still friends, looked down on the things quackity has achieved, like with the streamer awards etc, Q actually does not owe dream a response. Replying to the other people who reached out would mean having to actually acknowledge what is going on and it would end with having to talk with dream as now others will have become deeply involved in this mess. And I genuinely do not think that dream is the kind of person that would actually listen to Q if they actually did sit down and talk but that's another conversation.

Dream also is known for ghosting people (like the way ccs on the dsmp couldn't do lore streams bc dream never replied to them etc) so the way he's reacting to this is just hypocritical to me and the way he has handled it is also very childish. He's basically forcing quackity to reply to him through peer pressure and by relying on his fans bothering Q about it it enough that he'll give up on keeping distance. Which also is not an emotionally mature reaction imo.

You're right the whole situation is a mess, I have even seen some people who claimed to be doxxed being proven false, and while I do feel very bad in case there are people that did actually get doxxed and hope they'll be able to move on from it soon, saying that the majority of the doxxers are Quackity stans is untrue as far as I know. Bc I've also seen lots of dream stans spreading misinfo, claiming everyone is suddenly from lktwt, claiming every person critisizing dream is racist.

Arguments about the usmp/qsmp are mainly rooted in the fact that some people get really vile about it and yes I'll admit some people who dislike dream do go a bit far. But at this point the majority of mcyt twt dislikes dream so it isn't just quackity stans.

I have seen people being straight up racist towards quackity bc of it. And perhaps you could argue I'm biased as someone who deeply dislikes dream but I think there's a lot more hostility coming from the usmp side of the argument.

Either way doxxing obviously isn't ok and I don't condone it and I hope everyone that got doxxers is safe and ok.

However I'd also like to add that the only reason this whole usmp Vs qsmp debate has been going on is bc dream couldn't stop mentioning quackity and the qsmp all the time so I'd say dream also has blame in this and I feel he should tweet something denouncing his stans harassing others instead of putting all the blame on someone else since he's so keen on putting pressure on Q.

Also would like to add that no matter what quackity does at this point, things will not change for the better as the situation has been escalated by dream like a lot.
