Reiki level 1 is the basic level. Even at this level, you have life-long access to Reiki energy and the ability to use Reiki energy to heal yourself and others. In the Reiki Level 1 Lesson, you will learn about Reiki During the teaching phase, Reiki history, and how Reiki works. This course will include a printout containing the course content. The relationship between A Reiki Master and a student begins here at level 1 and will continue to evolve and grow as much as the students are open to doing so. The Reiki Level 1 Attunement is a process that attunes you to the frequency of Reiki energy, enabling you to channel Reiki energy to yourself and others. The Attunement is a type of ritual and kept secret by the Reiki master. The Reiki master will request students to keep their eyes closed during the process. Closed eyes make it easier to focus internally and enjoy the experience of the Attunement.

The Reiki master uses a combination of symbols and mantras to connect you to the Reiki universal life force.

I see things…

I’ve always had strong intuitions and feelings. And at first, it used to amuse or perplex my family.

No wonder! I’ve been born in France, country of Descartes, which, as far as I know is the only one to have ever worshipped a Reason Goddess, during the revolution, with Grecian helmet and coloured feathers “de rigueur”. And in this country, I chose a scientific family, both my parents having worked in the medical.  My father, a gynaecologist, was the kind of open minded doctor who was rolling on the floor laughing when one of his colleagues tried to assert that homeopathy worked on plants. Just imagine his feelings when his daughter told him he should encompass the mind and its effects on the body when he met a patient…

Without any explanation around me about what I was experiencing, I felt a little like a witch waiting for a stake and decided to bury everything the deepest possible. I still had flashes or episodes but nothing too worrisome. Everything was under control.

And then, I went to Argentina and my best friend, a soul sister, had me go to a Reiki formation. Calling it that way, “formation”. Maybe knowing that had I known it to be an initiation, I would not have gone. Not in a million years. But I’ve been raised to be tough, most French people are, one of the reasons many French people are also unhappy, and so I stayed.

My gift for feeling energies woke up and the same forces I experienced before in the arms, felt now like thousands of needles pinching my skin. Like the end of an ankylosis. Things happened to me from now on that had my rational mind reeling. That had my husband’s eyes open wide, he whose religion is to believe in nothing he can’t prove. And who now says the romantic and blasphemous : “I have no faith but I sure believe in you”.

And again, I chose to calm the horses. So it’s only seven years later, after my son was born, that I got back in the saddle. And there, despite my guts playing havoc with my digestion and peace of mind, that had me wonder about the calmness of my fellow alumni, I jumped fences. What I found truly interesting is the fact that my diverse formations confirmed what I felt intuitively. And allowed me to learn a process and go farther. To cure more efficiently – it’s after all in my genes – to feel more intensely.

What I found painful, on the contrary, truly initiatory, was to see more than I would have wished. To incinerate my last illusions about some close people, about the world.  To realize that a good portion of actors I loved, writers I admired, great men I idolized, politicians I respected, spiritual guides I found admirable… are not who they seem to be.

“Beware of illusions” told me a clairvoyant, once. And I foolishly thought at that time I was too clever to be fooled by the world’s manipulations. I was wrong.

But now I see.
