Top Points One Should Consider While Looking for an Ayurvedic College
Tumblr media
With the spread of Ayurvedic knowledge around the world, there is a continuous increase in the interest of ayurvedic studies. To acquire knowledge in the most effective way possible, one needs to get enrolled in a right institution. A college plays a major role in shaping your career.
Here are the following points one should definitely keep in mind while looking out for an ayurvedic college.
·   Location
While selecting your college you need to make sure about your preferred location. For future opportunities, one has to see if the college is situated in a corporate hub. And not every atmosphere and living condition suits people. So do select a location which ticks off all your needs.
 ·   Affiliations and Approvals
A college’s credibility is defined by the affiliations and approvals. Before enrolling in any university or college, do keep an eye on the affiliations and approvals it has got. When we talk about ayurvedic colleges; the approval of CCIM Govt. of India (AYUSH) is of much importance.
 ·   Types of Ayurvedic Treatments
In Ayurveda, patients are healed with natural treatments and herbs. To hone your skills and learn the Ayurveda, one needs to make sure and research well about the ayurvedic treatments that the college uses to treat its patients. Sri Sai Ayurvedic College has four ayurvedic treatments such as Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Dravyaguna and Kaumarabhritya; making it one of the best ayurvedic colleges in Bhopal.
 ·   Infrastructure
The place and surroundings that you stay in makes a huge difference in how you function. Like in case of an ayurvedic college, aspirants should look out for herbal gardens and herb production. Your institution should have a well-equipped library and latest innovative systems for an enriching learning.
 ·   Faculty
The faculty members play the most important role in imparting the knowledge to students. The most crucial factor which makes a college stand apart is its faculty. The professors should be thoughtful, highly-qualified, dedicated and experienced. Faculty members help give you enriching subject matter information to create industry leading professionals.
 ·   Placement
Always make sure to go through the previous placement records of every college. A college’s placement speaks volumes about the industry standards and its performance. Keep an eye on its highest, average and lowest package. Additionally, the institution should support and coordinate you through the placements.
·   Accommodation
The college that you join is going to be your home for a few years. One should make sure about the accommodation facilities a college is providing. The hostels should provide basic amenities like beds, running water, lights, tables, windows, washrooms. Additionally, you need to make a note if the institution had separate boys’ and girls’ hostels. At Sri Sai Institute of Ayurvedic Research and Medicine, the hostel is inside the campus for the safety of girls. With big rooms and sufficient windows, it helps provide a good living experience.
Adding on to the list, the students should look for the canteen and mess facilities; because that will help them set the budget as well.
So, these were some of the most important points one needed to keep in mind while doing their college hunt. As these basic and important pointers will come handy when you go through the process. The procedure of cracking entrance exams, going through counselling and making the right choice can be very tiresome. So, to keep everything aligned and select the best BAMS college in Bhopal, a good research about the institutions will be of great help.

Conceptos básicos del Ayurveda (1ª parte)
Tumblr media
Kayachikitsa (Medicina interna)
Salakyatantra (tratamiento de oídos, nariz, garganta, ojos, boca y dientes),
Kaumarabhritya o Bala Tantra (Pediatría, embriología y obstetricia)
Salya Tantra (Cirugía)
BhutaVidya (Psiquiatría)
Vajikarana Tantra (Medicina reproductiva)

Learning about Ayurveda | Admission in Ayurvedic College
It is the science of preventive health (take care of health so that disease does not get a chance to get in) and the living habits that check over indulgence in physical senses, going against conscience and natural resistance to the call of the soul (refusal to enjoy the present moment).
Ayurvedic Treatment

Body Elements & Constitution (Prakriti)
There are five elements of which the human body is made up of :  akasha (ether), Vayu (air), Agni (Fire), Jala (Water) and Prithvi (earth).
Because of the above five elements, all human beings are constituted with a combination of two or three primary ones.  Those are called body humors or Doshas:  Kapha, Vata and Pitta.  Any person is easy to treat with the identification of his/her category.
Tumblr media
Vata category:  is combination of space and air elements: People are fearful, illogical and insecure. Skin is dry. They have thin hair. They have dark brown or grey eyes.  Vata activates the nervous system, hearing and speech and the persons is a great enthusiast with creativity. However, the state of his mind gets imbalanced easily because of which he gets diseases like insomnia, cramps and constipation.
Pitta category:  is fire element: These people are achievers, intellectual, fiery, angry, judgmental, with clear voice and precise expression. They have soft and fine hair.  Eyes are blue, grey and hazel. They are good leaders and warm personality when healthy. Because of emphasis on metabolism and anger, they suffer from acidity, ulcers and rashes and also thinning of hair occurs.
Kapha category:  is(water and earth element :  They have thick lustrous hair. Eyes are blue or brown. People have great endurance capacity with calm and steady mind. They are capable of forgiveness and intense love.  Sometimes they are greedy and possessive.  Kapha is the lubricant that keeps the joints working, keeps the body vibrant and balanced with immunity. Too much of it leads to lethargy, congestion, allergies and weight gain.
Nature of ailments
After the Prakriti is decided, one should know the nature of the diseases (Vikriti).  It is imbalance obviously, but there are two extremes to every imbalance, either deficiency or excess. Those are heavy-light, slow-sharp, cold-hot, unctuous-dry, smooth-rough, solid-liquid, soft-hard, stable-mobile, subtle-gross, and non-slimmy-slimmy. When corrected, Prakriti or original constitution is restored. CCIM Approved Top BAMS Ayurvedic in Delhi NCR
These 20 characteristics that with regards to one’s basic constitution will decide the treatment.  These may be caused by wrong foods causing improper digestion, wrong sleeping habits, improper mindset, anxiety etc.
The other type of ailment is clogging or blockage (Ama) for life energy to circulate for vitality. When this is corrected, it produces energy, perfect immunity, and physical strength and hence a general sense of bliss which is summarized in Ayurveda in one word called Ojas a Top Ayurvedic College in UP .

Understanding the Different Specialisations Among Ayurvedic Doctors
If you're exploring holistic and natural ways to maintain or improve your health, consulting an Ayurvedic doctor in Vadodara or other places is what you need. But did you know that there are several specialisations within Ayurveda, each focusing on different aspects of wellness? Let’s dive into the various specialisations of Ayurvedic medicine and how they cater to diverse health needs.
1. Kayachikitsa (General Medicine)
Kayachikitsa is the Ayurvedic equivalent of general medicine. This specialisation deals with diagnosing and treating general ailments and chronic diseases like diabetes, arthritis, and digestive disorders. Practitioners in this field consider the patient’s entire lifestyle and body constitution to devise a personalised treatment plan that often includes dietary changes, herbal remedies, and lifestyle adjustments.
2. Shalya Tantra (Surgery)
Yes, surgery in Ayurveda! Shalya Tantra is the ancient practice of surgical techniques, including procedures similar to modern-day surgeries. It was historically used for treating conditions like haemorrhoids, fistulas, and even cataracts. Modern Ayurvedic practitioners may not perform complex surgeries but focus on minor surgical procedures and the management of wounds with herbal applications and therapies.
3. Shalakya Tantra (ENT and Ophthalmology)
Shalakya Tantra specialises in diseases that affect the ear, nose, throat, eyes, head, and neck. This specialisation may include medicinal treatments and surgical procedures focused on these areas. Common treatments involve herbal instillations and dietary regulations to treat conditions like sinusitis, vision impairment, and chronic headaches.
4. Kaumarabhritya (Pediatrics)
This specialisation is akin to paediatrics in conventional medicine. Kaumarabhritya focuses on the health and diseases related to children from birth until adolescence. Treatments involve nourishing diets, herbal remedies, and specific therapies that promote healthy growth and development while treating common pediatric diseases naturally and gently.
5. Bhutavidya (Psychiatry)
Ayurveda has a unique approach to mental health, termed Bhutavidya. This field treats mental health conditions through a combination of herbal medicine, dietary advice, and lifestyle adjustments, including yoga and meditation. The approach is holistic, considering the patient's mental, physical, and spiritual health.
6. Agada Tantra (Toxicology)
Agada Tantra focuses on managing toxins from poisons, animal bites, and other toxic substances. This specialisation provides knowledge on detoxifying the body using various herbs and practices to counteract the effects of these toxins. It’s particularly relevant in areas where exposure to natural toxins is more common.
7. Rasayana (Geriatrics or Rejuvenation)
Rasayana is the science of rejuvenation and anti-aging. This branch of Ayurveda emphasises practices and therapies that aim to increase longevity, improve memory, health, and vitality, and strengthen the body. Rasayana treatments involve specific diets, herbal remedies, and purification therapies.
8. Vajikarana (Aphrodisiac therapy)
Vajikarana is focused on improving sexual health and reproductive capabilities. This branch prescribes various therapies and herbal preparations that enhance reproductive tissues and improve sexual function and health. The goal is to ensure healthy progeny and enhance overall vitality.
Conclusion
Each of these specialisations reflects a unique aspect of Ayurvedic wisdom tailored to address specific areas of health. If you’re in Gujarat and looking for holistic treatment, finding the right Ayurvedic doctor in Vadodara and other places in the country specialising in the relevant field can be a transformative step towards natural and effective health management.

EFFECTIVE HEALTH BENEFITS USING AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS
Ayurveda is a science with deep insight and keen observation. It has a vast historical background and is being flourishing in the Indian subcontinent since time immemorial. The concepts laid down in Ayurveda are highly philosophical with a divine back up. Understanding the principles of Ayurveda requires thorough reading, patience and in-depth thinking. Everything to maintain our gifted life and longevity in this world has been described beautifully with great accuracy and care. Superficially it looks like simply using herbs and minerals for ailments. But there is actually much more to it which is mostly hidden from the present world. Mankind has much to benefit from Ayurveda and we ought to give due respect to this brilliant science. THE WORD “AYURVEDA” Scriptures of Ayurveda have been written in Sanskrit and therefore decoding of this language is necessary to understand it. The word “Ayus” means ‘life’ and “Veda” means ‘knowledge’. In short, the knowledge about life is what Ayurveda aims at. A comprehensive data from the beginning of life in the womb of the mother and all aspects until death is available here. ORIGIN OF AYURVEDA Ayurveda is thought to have a divine origin directly from God to sages which is quiet hard to believe for many. The astonishing fact is that, the information collected and recorded by these sages and transferred to their students, on cross checking and researching, is found to be correct without error. It is impossible for a man or even a group to research and record such a huge data in one’s life time. Thus there is definitely an element of God deeply buried in this science. BRANCHES OF AYURVEDA Depending upon the areas of specialization, the entire science of Ayurveda can be broadly divided into eight branches as follows: Kaaya Chikitsa: Treatment of General ailments Bala Chikitsa or Kaumarabhritya: Treatment of diseases in Children Graha Chikitsa or Bhoota Vidya: Treatment of external pathogens Urdhwanga chikitsa or Salakya Tantra: Treatment of diseases of head and neck including eyes, ears, nose and face Salya Tantra: Surgery and other emergency managements. Agada tantra: Toxicology Rasayana Chikitsa: Rejuvanation therapy and Geriatrics Vaajeekarana Chikitsa: Aphrodisiacs
