4/2023: Lake Havasu City, AZ!

It is that time of year again, adios california...hello arizona! Taxes are done, let’s unwind and get our farkle on! There might be some Desert Storm action going on too. What is not to love?

4/19 Day 1: 

Woke up early, drove 4 hours in. There were a fair amount of cops out. But we are heading into a somewhat major event in town. Came in by like 10, and chilled out for a bit. Then we went to College Street Brewery and Pub-pretty good. The beer was better than the food, but it is a brewery. There was “Krusin for a Kause” today but we did not get to it, and it did not seem like an event we could of enjoyed as much as the riders in the kruiser. It was a quiet afternoon, we did some yahtzee so that no one could have an advantage in farkle. Leave the dice unbiased. 

4/20 Day 2:

The party day! We woke up, had breakfast at Makai’s, its a cute little joint! Did some local shopping at the Harley Store and found some cute stuff this time! We caught a movie on Netflix, “We Have A Ghost”, and it was pretty good. The street party was way bigger this year. Met up with some friends who have a second place in town like us, but even just the locals are usually nice! It was hard to find a place to eat-but we ate at Legendz in downtown. Came back to the condo and just relaxed, it was a warm day and I got a little bit sunburned. 

4/21 Day 3:

Not much sleep was got these days, so we decided to have breakfast at Makai’s to see if we could feel human after. I showed my sister “Burlesque” on Netflix, she had not seen it! We met back up with friends and watched the Parade of Power, the Poker Run for Desert Storm started after that. The party was still going from the day before, they just moved to the channel and off the streets! We had lunch at Javelinas, a good little mexican place. Dinner was an amazing little italian place called Angelinas. This place you need to call ahead and make a reservation. We played some Farkle, and fell asleep after putting on “Smokey and the Bandit”. Can you believe parts of our group had not seen that either? I also brought up a new game to try: Love is Dead from Aldi, it is super fun! 

4/22 Day 4:

For Desert Storm, the last event was Shugrue’s Shootout, but we missed it. By now, we had some leftovers to work through. We were supposed to get our hair done but our hairdresser/family friend partied too hard with us and needed a rest day. We went to the channel to “put our feet in the water and our ass in the sand”, can you tell we listen to a lot of country music out there? The party in channel had died down a bit but was still pretty active. We came back, played more Farkle. We watched the sequel, “Smokey and the Bandit 2″ on netflix, that was a proper sequel! We had dinner at Azul Agave, one of the best mexican places I have ever eaten at. More Farkle, and finally started getting some sleep! 

4/23 Day 5:

Early day, last full day in town. Things outside in general quieted down as most people who came into town for the event had left that day. We went to Secrets of Beauty to get our hair done! We hung out at the shop with one another, went to the swap meet, had Red Baron for lunch, and helped around the shop! After we were all done, we went to Tavern 95 for dinner. We did a last bit of Farkle and got ready to leave early to drive home. I changed my hairstyle, and I absolutely love it! 

4/24 Day 6:

Early rising, we left around sunrise to avoid what traffic we could. Drive home had a lot of traffic, seems to be a problem that gets worse not better. Made it home in about 4 hours or so. 

It was a good trip. We are already talking about the next trip to take care of a couple of things, do some different things, and depending on who is all going-I will be back out there! Good people, good times, good spiritual talk! Family vacations, they sure are something!

      Unlike when seeing anyone else he called his companions,      Cricket was actually quite fond of seeing the cleric saunter over. His posture wasn't as defensive, he even faced Shadowheart even before she stood in front of him, little bug-senses kicked in, sensing her arrival moments ago. Attentive.

He liked Halsin. He understood the half-insect better than probably anyone else around here. Every now  &  then, Cricket would seek his guidance. Both druids are familiar with Silvanus' teachings  &  philosophies, after all.

Cricket's mouth watered, mandibles moved in his cheeks as soon as the honeycomb got presented. He kept them inside. For Shadowheart's sake. Oh yes, The Half Thri-Kreen loved sugar. Honey was a safe favorite.

The man smiled in excitement, holding out his exoskeleton paws, a flick of his gaze towards the Sharran, a look that screamed 'please hand it over ♥'. And should she do so, the little freak was quick to bite into nature's dessert, munching  &  savoring the soft texture, the sweetness tickling his tongue, even if he was not quite able to taste every nuance. Ohoho, how tasty.

So I've been thinking.

I think I might temporarily pause my Traumatized Pastra AU for my new au.

Introducing:

A random ass Doai AU I've had for a while now and am currently turning into a fic!(Hopefully it will be on Ao3 soon) It's just chock full o' headcanons! Buckle in because this gonna be a long ass post and I rant about things a LOT

Main little headcanons for the pairs.

◇ Clyde and Winfrey are 100% gay and no one can tell me otherwise.

◇ Simon is like an owner to The Flock, Simon is also teaching The Flock how to actually speak.

◇ Klaus is slightly abusive towards Jack, but he is desperately trying to fix it with Jack's help.

◇ Kause and Jack never actually stay in the same spot, but they will return to an area multiple times.

◇ Because Klause and Jack never stay in one place, they'll sometimes wander into Clyde and Winfrey's territory, because of this, both Clyde and Winfrey will hide if they catch even the slightest smell of their scent.

◇ Klaus and Jack have very impulsive personalities and will often play cruel pranks that often end up in an injury of some kind, this is why Clyde and Winfrey are afraid of them.

◇ The Flock can sometimes be overprotective of Simon, especially if Simon is about to go into hibernation.

◇ Simon will regularly check up on Clyde and Winfrey because I said so.

◇ Winfrey is helping to uncorupt Clyde, and in return Clyde is helping him control his thoughts.

Hibernation periods.

◇ Clyde hibernates between August 3rd and October 31st, while Winfrey hibernates between Febuary 1st and June 4th.

◇ The Flock doesn't hibernate, being a bird and all. Simon hibernates through spring.

◇ Both Jack and Klaus hibernate through the last half of winter and the first half of spring.

Individual Headcanons

.•�� Winfrey °•.

◇ Winfrey can actually play the violin, and he's good at it too.

◇ He's constantly second guessing weather it was a good idea to become complete, but Clyde helps him see it as a good thing.

◇ He's overprotective over Clyde despite Clyde telling him that he can handle himself, it's just the size difference really-

◇ Him and Clyde are VERY close. V e r y

.•° Clyde °•.

◇ Clyde is actually kind of insane, and with Wibfrey helping to uncorupt his mind, he's becoming even more so.

◇ If Clyde is harmed enough, Winfrey will wake up from his hibernation and go save him, and vice-versa. They will then go into a month long hibernation together.

◇ Like Winfrey, Clyde can hear the voices of everyone he's consumed, but has learned to tune it out.

◇ He is adept at playing the piano.

.•° Simon °•.

◇ Simon is practically The Flock's owner because of how feral The Flock is.

◇ He won't force his ideology of not consuming humans, he just doesn't want the others to do it when he's around.

◇ He celebrates human holidays, and even invites the other veldigun over to celebrate with him and The Flock.

.•° The Flock °•.

◇ The Flock will attack anyone and anything that gets close to Simon when he's injured, sick, ect.

◇ Since they haven't progressed past the void stage, they're kind of like an octopus, they can fit through tiny spaces.

.•° Jack °•.

◇ Jack rarely talks, only ever talking to Klaus.

◇ He'll do anything Jack tells him to, even if he doesn't want to.

◇ He hunts when Klaus is asleep because he's always used to help Klaus hunt.

◇ He doesn't actually need to eat as much as you'd expect.

.•° Klaus °•.

◇ Klaus is actively trying to fix his abusive behavior towards Jack

◇ Klaus and Jack get into constant prank wars.

◇ He loves messing with Clyde and Winfrey, mostly Clyde though.

Veldigun Headcanons.

◇ Veldigun can actually speak many different languages, but like humans they have to learn it.

◇ They know jackshit about Six, the only thing they know is that they'll show up in their dreams before an event in their lives. (Hibernation and stuff)

◇ They never go into large human towns or cities, they just wait for prey to come to them, or they'll try to lead them away.

Okay I'm done ranting now- I may or may not turn this into a separate ask blog idk man- but I do know that I've kinda lost motivation for my Traumatized Pastra AU-
