Even tho these were drawn a while back I still really love these drawings. Granted I’m biased, I adore Frozen. 

At the time I was going through a really rough patch with my art. I was struggling to create art but coming back to characters I love helped to me get in the flow again and most of all show me how far I have come as an artist. 

As artists we need to constantly step into the unknown and trust ourselves to get to the next step.

It's official :) my tumblr username has changed. kaybee-worx.tumblr.com is my new URL. I wanted to have something that would be quick and easy to remember. Also this is the year I get my tumblr into gear and I post art for you guys. So hope your excited. 😊😄 Have a sketch of Victor for now as I organise my life. Gris was such an incredibly beautiful game, I loved the water colours and the overall feeling I got when playing. After watching the movie Promare and seeing all the bright colours and Lio’s design the thought of combining the 2 worlds popped up. This was the result and its so wonderful. 

I went with a samurai outfit and sword because in the Gris world I think Lio would combine his knowledge of martial arts and fire. 

Learning how to use digital water colour brushes for this was both a painful and fun but so worth it.

Its sort of become a tradition to draw BTS on new years eve.  Their concept photos are fantastic studies and such great practice for lighting.  My MANifestation for this year is Jungkook. Golden Maknae. Let's be gentle and kind this year to ourselves and remember we are doing alright. We take it one step at a time and we will get to where we want to go.

The time I did the sailor moon re-draw challenge. 

It was honestly awesome and I think this challenge should come back around.

Smooth like Butter  Just before the music video dropped I drew Butter V.  What a brilliant song!!! I’m still learning the dance which has been a fun side project.  Drawing BTS from photos you really learn a lot from the lighting, its a great art exercise.

For the final part of my vis dev course which was designing an environment I decided to envision Magic Shop and try capture the essence of the song that means so much to me. 

I worked on this drawing on and off throughout 2021, and at times it was really hard to keep going. It was such a learning process of trust, as I put colours down I never thought would work but through the process I got to harmonize. 

In a way I spent time in magic shop, learning about myself and being ok when things did not go to plan but having unconditional trust I would get there. Magic Shop is always there when we need it, all we need to do is open our hearts.

This drawing is a treasure trove of easter eggs so if you are ARMY try spot them.

Do you want some MORE? KDA’s comeback was such a fun experience last year!!! My friend Riette and I waited for the new photos to drop and fangirled at all the content. Really it was the start of my decent into the world of Kpop properly. 

I decided to draw myself and Riette cosplaying as Ahri and Evelynn as a little reminder of how much we loved the new music. I love being able to share in fandoms with my friends it’s so special.

I cannot believe its almost time for Light Box Expo again!!! 

I did this #DTIYS by Pernille while listening to incredible panels at Light Box last year.  I’m so excited to do it again!!!! Got to get ready for little sleep and a whole lot of fun. Its great getting to celebrate art together.

Jhope always reminds me to keep a positive outlook, work hard, stay humble and just keep going. Our Hobi is honestly such an inspiration and I admire him in so many ways. 

It was so refreshing to do a more realistic digital drawing. Fun experimenting with textures and brushes. BTS are such great art studies and their photoshoots range from simple to interesting environments so you can really have fun while drawing them.

My Moonshadow Self

A while ago I came across the Dragon Prince Quiz that helped you find out what your Primal Source was. (I love those sorts of quizzes) 

Mine tuned out to be the Moon.

I thus drew myself as a moon shadow elf. (Because they are pretty badass)

This was a challenging drawing, mostly the environment but overall it turned out really great.
